According to the Hilton's way, we did my daughters wedding wrong? I never told my daughter who to invite, let alone who to exclude. She did ask me if there were any older relatives we don't see often that would feel left out if not invited.  She personally called the parents of the ring bearer and flower girl (two different families) to ask if they thought being in the wedding was something the children would want to do. THEN she sent the invitation, to the entire family. Didn't even occur to me that I might have a vote in my daughters choice for who attends HER WEDDING. Seeing this much drama (only on the Hilton side) makes me wonder how awfully did Kathy treat the Groom's side of the family in regards to their choice of attendee's.

Besides all that... the possible conflicts between Rick/Mauricio puzzles me. These are GROWN professional businessmen. If there is bad blood, then seat them far from each other. I'll go one further. It was NICKY'S WEDDING, if the issue is between Rick & Mauricio then Rick , as NIcky's father who wants his daughters day to be special FOR HER, should have contacted Mauricio (there is email ) to state that he is aware HIS DAUGHTER has chosen Porsha to be her flower girl and desire to respect his daughters happiness by leaving the hatchets at home.  Ask that they set aside their differences for one day/night, in hopes Nicky's memories of her wedding be all good (some shit like that) lol.

I'm perplexed at how such ' high class' 'fancy pants' people who are all about appearances could make such silly mistakes in etiquette. It's not like they'd even have to put much effort into faking it.

Odd.

I agree with all of this.  I don't understand how this happened and how Kyle allowed it to happen.  It's not like Kyle is some distant relative, she's Nicky's aunt.  WTF?

Sadly, I can see most of Yo's friends, while being sympathetic of her condition growing weary of it. Filming with her fellow housewives will be difficult, how much sitting around an apartment can you film before it gets boring anyway?  I was stunned at her closet o'drugs, the fridge was way more of a "wow" in a good way.  Any body close to Yo should be giving that helper/friend the side eye about all those so called treatments she is giving Yo.

Kyle has shown us how life can be without a budget, the travel porn has been wonderful.  I did like the fact that as picture perfect as Tuscany seemed there were bugs, lots of them!

So the Hilton's exclude Mauricio and some kids and Kyle will attend with Portia, hmmmm.  Could it be that Mauricio is secretly thrilled that he does not have to attend?

I don't find it cute that Lisa intends to buy Ken a mini.  It's a horse, not a prop for a one time use, it is a commitment that needs attention and care.  Maybe they will board it at a nice farm with other horses and caring people.  I mean really, does she plan to have it wander the halls of Villa Rosa?

What a waste of a Ferrari with Nanna Kyle driving! It was red....everyone knows red cars go faster! What a shame!

Ha ha ha! Leave Nana alone! I have a sports car and I drove like that for the first few months I had it too. My uncle nicknamed me the little old lady from Pasadena.

It's one thing if we're talking about silly Millennials & their Gen-X/Boomer parents.  But Rinna made it quite clear last year, she left all care of her elderly parents (her mother is 85+ & her father is 92+) to her sister.  That Rinna so obviously barely speaks to her elderly parents strikes me as so exceptionally heartless & ugly.  She showed us why she doesn't speak to them -- because any conversation with them will ultimately involve discussions of illness & she doesn't want to deal with it -- clearly because it doesn't fit into her BH lifestyle.  Blech to this woman, just blech.  And no, Rinna, laughing your ass off at everything you say is def not gonna make me think you're charming, cuz I still think you're a heartless asshole in your treatment of your parents.

Yeah I thought that whole scene was pretty telling. Way to model compassion for your daughters. Wonder how she will feel when she is old and ailing and her daughters are AWOL. Reminds me of the old Harry Chapin song, 'Cats in the cradle.'

We only have Yolanda's word on the length of the parasite.  She is so prone to embellishment and exaggeration (not just pertaining to her health, but to everything) that I'm not only unconvinced re the length but skeptical that she had one at all.  Maybe she did and maybe she didn't, but of course Yo's parasite would have to be a of a size that makes people gasp.  Because that's totally how she rolls.

Since her first season she's been very big on one-upping and attention-grabbing.  And since the "lifestyle" image she tried to promote as a new business fell flat, she's now turned to this.  I would have far more sympathy for her if everything wasn't so over-the-top and ridiculous.    I do think she has health issues, but seriously - Tone it down, Yo.   Stop being so concerned with staging photos and scenes, and get your priorities straight.   All of this would be far more believable.

I am really starting to believe that there is actually something wrong with Yolanda, that maybe she did have some issues with Lyme and then a bunch of charlatans got a hold of her and made it all worse. It wouldn't be the first time some alternative medicine goof ball took advantage of a rich person desperately wanting to feel better. Now she is one so much stuff she doesn't know what end is up and these "medical professionals" continue cashing the checks. Just a theory.

Folks who side with Kyle are siding with Kyle...because we want to. I know for a fact when I watch these reality shows I'm not looking for any of these adult women to fulfill the nebulous role of "angel." I just know that I gravitate to some more than others. I've liked Kyle since season one. It's season six, and I still like her. It'll be OK.

Regarding the wedding party/invite shenanigans of the Hiltons and Umanskys, I witnessed something similar in my own family this summer. One of my step-sisters is getting married next summer. She and I are cordial enough, but she's better friends with my cousin. Like, they all hang out and whatnot. Apparently, my step-sister and cousin had some falling out, and while we were all together for the first wedding party meeting in September (I'm one of the bridesmaids), my step-sister did not list my cousin as a bridesmaid...even though she had been named one, like, two weeks prior. So, my step-sister seemingly kicked out my cousin but then still wanted my cousin's daughter to be a flower girl. My mother was like, "Girl, what? How do you think that'll happen?" (especially since this is going to be a destination wedding as well).

It's unfortunate that Kyle still went to the wedding after that manipulative yanking around. Her sisters don't seem to care about how they put their nieces in these awkward positions because the cousins are close while tensions remain high among Kathy, Kim, and Kyle.

While I don't doubt that Yolanda has something wrong with her, I do think she's also milking her illness for sympathy and attention. I wonder if she likes being doted on and taken care of, especially considering that she feels as though she was parentified after her father died.

She picked the wrong husband for that! Who's the king here?

I didn't see Kyle as a major bitch in S1, 2 or now. The whole point of the show is these women showing off that they have the best life ever, except for when they highlight their big tragedies. For Yolanda it's her illness. For Kyle it's whatever is going on with her weird family. Kyle's trips to Tuscany are no more braggy and Lisa's custom-made pink satin shirts and throwing out first pitches.

I do think that Kyle totally does get something out of the family shenanigans. It's probably the underside of her being everyone's favorite aunt. She's into family. That is, while I think there's plenty of times she doesn't like the way she gets treated in her family, she still can't help but thrive a little on the constant drama that seems to be going on. It seems like their family's always been this way. I'll bet they practically expect Kathy to pull some switch at the last minute for family functions because that's her thing. It was probably heavily hinted to Kyle that she shouldn't come (Kathy causing drama), Kyle picking up on that and upping the ante by saying she wasn't going (Kyle making it more dramatic) and then they compromised on drama level yellow instead of code red. They still have stuff to chew on as a family (Mauricio not going, the girls having feelings about not going) but without it reaching the level of major issue that I'm sure they've had in the past. And I doubt her daughters are completely immune to it either. Rather than breezily saying "Oh, I'm not going--there's no kids" both Sophia and Alexia said "I'm not going" in a ways that totally made it clear there were ISSUES with this even if they didn't want to talk about them.

Yo-Yo needs to try the healing hands of Dr. Moon. I'm sure Shannon would hook her up. They can compare colonics notes and "shoot the shit". Shannon though needs to be careful and considerate not only does she still has her David but he's willing to walk around with stink finger. Now that is true love Yo-Yo!

I really feel for Kyle in this situation. It seems like she was between a rock and a hard place. We don't really know all the details of how she was invited, not going, then back to going again. We don't know for how long Farrah and Porsha were involved as the wedding party. What if having them there means a lot to Nicki? Is it Kathy who is putting her foot down about the others? Maybe Nicki is scared to stand up to her mom. Maybe Kyle would feel awful if she wasn't at her niece's wedding. Maybe Mauricio urged her to go, because he knew how badly the Hiltons would rake her over the coals if she pulled her daughters and didn't show. I know a lot of people, myself included, would be like - "Eff them". But we've seen how sensitive Kyle is about what others think about her. I just think her family is very shitty for putting her in such a position. If Nicki wanted them there, that should have been all there was to it. Sit on opposite sides of the room and shut up.

Lisa had a barn/house built for them at their house, which has a rather large back yard, and had a fence put up around most of the back yard. These mini horses are not much bigger than the 2 goldens they have. LOL

YES!!! And also, she suddenly "couldn't breathe" when David entered the oral surgeon's office. Could hsve been sneaky editing....but she got a major sideeye from me. LOL!

I REALLY think Kyle may be on to something with the whole "depression hurts" thing. Would make a hell of a lot more sense. Cause that medicine closet is just ridic!

Mozelle, great post.   But I'd like to add that some of us don't have sides.  Some of us dimply watch and go after each housewife as we feel needed to the situations we see.  I'm on none of these women's sides.  None of them are truly fighting some good fight.  They are reality personalities.  I can like them in a moment and then loathe in the next.  How I view Kyle her first season is going to be different to how I view her here because one thing does not define her.  Let alone those us not seeking attention in one way or another as each and every one of these women is doing.

Ken is a dick. Why does he have to take digs all the time. The minute the show opened up he is taking digs at Kyle's weight.

Ken is an ass. And He should look at his wife's clothes first. She dresses like Alexis Carrington, with the make up of Tammy Faye Baker  . I'd much rather wear Kyle's mumus.

Anyone else think the Yo/King split is because she's now unable to perform pretty much all of her wifely duties?  I.E. Pruning the lemon grove, cooking for him, being arm candy, taking boudoir shots, calling him "my love" and probably giving him hummers?  I mean, I always thought their relationship was fairly shallow and consisted of her worshiping him and attending to his every need.  So now that she's not able to do that stuff, I'd imagine all of her "attractive" qualities have gone out the window like last year's lemon water cleanse.

So earlier, people talked about how if Kyle pulled everyone out of the wedding because the rest of her family were not invited or disinvited, she'd mess up the family and hurt her nieces, causing much more problems. But here's the thing. Kyle would not be the one hurting the family or nieces, nor causing the problems. Kathy (or Nicky) - the one who disinvited people and/or only invited some of Kyle's family over others - is the one who caused problems, not Kyle

No, not everyone.  But why should Portia not grow up surrounded by cousins who love her?  Not everyone involved in this are adults.  Portia was asked to be a flower girl in her cousin's wedding, and she wanted to do it.  Her other girls have good cousin relationships.  And Kyle has her own relationships with her nieces and nephews.  Just because Kathy is being a jerk and doesn't care about destroying relationships doesn't mean that Kyle shouldn't want to preserve as much as she can.  Not in a martyr kind of way, but because she (unlike apparently Kathy & Kim) has actual, real affection & love for members of her extended family, and she wants to keep those relationships.  For her sake as much as theirs.  I also think she wanted to be at this wedding, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I'm sure that Kyle & Mauricio discussed this, and I'm sure Kyle would not have gone unless they had decided together that it was the better thing to do.  The whole situation is messed up for sure, but I completely understand why they made the decision they did.

This was one wedding, a blip on the screen of life.  No family relationships would have been destroyed had Kyle chosen not to  attend. The cousins will have many opportunities to to get together in the future when and if their paths cross.  I doubt this wedding had many moments for family bonding anyway.

Kathy is not looking good in the media for not including Kyle's entire family, that is for sure!  It won't effect Kathy though, I doubt many in attendance watch this show or pay attention to media gossip.

The controversy is really only about Kathy and Kyle's relationship.  My advice to Kyle is to rise above the situation and carry on with life and enjoy all those in it who love you.  Let Kathy twirl and stop feeding the conflict.

Hmm, she doesn't really look her best. I thought it was an etiquette faux pas for the MoB to wear the same color as the bridesmaids. Perhaps a darker hue, or something complimentary to the baby blue, but not the same shade.

I agree with everything that has been said regarding Yolanda and her illness. As a nurse, I have been in many med rooms for 25+ patients that don't have nearly as much medication as was seen in her closet.

Loved the travel and vacation porn. Absolutely stunning! I love traveling vicariously through these ladies and their non-existent budgets.

I don't want to come as defending the Hiltons because I think Rick Hilton is a pompous ass but maybe the no kid policy had to do more with the Hilton side of the family.  on Rick's side he has six siblings so if their may have been a bundle of people they needed to pare down.  I am not agreeing with eliminating Mauricio and the two girls-it was just a thought.   Also the reception was in the Orangery and I do believe it was mentioned that it only holds about 300 people.  I found these pictures of the newlyweds returning after their wedding.  Very short dress for the new Mrs. Rothschild and ouch what the other shoes did to the back of her legs.http://www.dailymail...dding-ring.html

My mom is one of ten, and every single one of them was invited to my sisters wedding with their children, and in some cases their grandchildren.  You don't invite Chelsea Clinton, but exclude a cousin.  And you don't pare down a Rothschild wedding.  Can't fit everyone in the venue? Invite the others (non-family) to the reception.  This was beyond tacky on the Hilton's part.

I've always enjoyed Kyle, and I still do.  All this fuss over the wedding seemed extra unnecessary to me because it's Nikki's second marriage.  I assume everyone was at her first one, and yet, years later here they are, still completely dysfunctional. Attending that wedding didn't ensure family unity any more than not attending this one would have guaranteed permanent family destruction.  If Kyle wants to have a continued relationship with her nieces and nephews, that kind of thing must be sought out and nurtured under more typical circumstances.  Attending weddings does not equal spending quality time together.  I wish Kyle had pulled her daughters and their vacation could have just continued seamlessly and without stress, but I do understand Kyle feeling obligated.  I'm cursed with the same problem of not being able to just shrug off family members who treat me like shit, and have to envy others when I see them cut off toxic relatives because it always, ALWAYS improves their quality of life afterward.

In my experience air conditioning is really rare in Europe. I have never had it in Italy. If you go stay at an American chain, they will have it. But I would rather not stay in an American chain in Europe.

I know that Europe isn't known for it's air conditioning, or even cold drinks, and were I to travel there on my own budget I would not expect to encounter air conditioning at all, except maybe in the rare eatery.  But on the show, everyone was commenting on the extreme heat, and if I'm renting a mansion with a waitstaff in the middle of summer, that's when I would expect more air conditioning.  There are ways to install units in the other rooms and disguise them so that they aren't an eyesore that ruins the authentic historic feel of the home (not that the butler even knew how old the place was).  High end luxury vacations typically include very comfortable accommodations, and that's why I would have been unhappy in the situation we saw on the show.  At the very least, give me a screened-in porch with some ceiling fans set on high, so that I can eat my beautiful food without accidentally ingesting a moth.

I don't understand why after Lisa and Ken had a discussion about how often Kyle wears Muu-muus even though she has a great figure but then Lisa strolls the greens at the Italian villa with Kyle wearing a muu-muu too. And it's a hotter than Hades day in Italy. I think that if they both knew how fat and dumpy they both look wearing muu-muus that they'd switch the attire for a pair of 'daisy dukes' and a crop top. How many times did they complain about bugs? It's the real world girlies, it's not arid California and insects flourish there in Italy where all green things grow, yes even mosquitoes!! Gawd help us. Since I'm getting out all my snark for the day, I will add that I think that extremely long, voluminous, obviously colored hair starts to look silly on a woman over a certain age. Even Khloe Kardashian got some length taken off her long hair and it looks so much better. Hair that long encourages them to touch, push back and smooth over their hair incessantly and it's annoying to watch.

It seems like Yo is getting an edit that on one hand seems sympathetic, yet on the other seems to subtly be intimating that all is not what it seems. For example, why they chose to include Yo reading her iphone, doorbell rings, she  throws the iphone down, takes off her glasses and makes like she is sick. Those editing Monkeys are sly all right.

This was also the episode where little truths were spoken. Like when Kyle said that she was so depressed when her mom died, she was physically ill. I think that is so true with Yo. I think she had a physical problem, whether it was Lyme idk, but her many therapies have left her sicker. And King David is a goner, plus her kids are for the most part grown and gone. It was all fine when Gigi was in LA and Yo was at every shoot playing mama bear, but now Gigi is of on her own. Plus Yo is probably dealing with menopause. It's a hellava lot. And she is doing herself no favors by surrounding herself with "health advocates", like the one in the ep. Just because you had a disease doesn't make you a healthcare professional.  I don't think it's a good idea to surround yourself with non professionals whose only task is to feed into your victimology. And once again, Yo just wants a miracle cure where she can wake up normal again. That's not how Lyme rolls. She ought to know that by now. As for the heavy metals, isn't she taking mega doses of minerals?

Also, when Kyle said that her dentist said don't mess with the amalgam that's already there, I was like yep, that's exactly what my dentist said to me.

I also LOLed at Ken for ragging on Kyle's mumus. As a short person I know that it's hard to wear a maxi, you have to be very careful about the style. Kyle needs to lose the mumus, but hell, then she puts on some god awful ill fitting skirt to take a ride in the Ferarri with Lisa? That woman needs a stylist ASAP.

Loved the villa. AC and screened in porches are not as common in Europe, so I wasn't surprise the villa had neither.

Lisa knows you have to do a little shit stirring to keep RH interesting, hence the discussion of the wedding. But for all that's holy, that Richards family has one of the most fucked up dynamics I have ever witnessed. Not inviting the bride's cousins is just spiteful. I am not a Kyle fan, but jeez, she really takes a lot of shit from them.

Lisa R, you dad is dying. Go the fuck up there. Call daily. How hard is that?

I stated after last week's episode that I thought Yolanda had Lyme disease, but that depression was her biggest issue and I'm even more convinced after this episode. She said she suffered from depression after she split from Mohammed to the point she couldn't get out of bed. I think she knew her marriage was kaput and used the Lyme disease to hold on to it as long as she could. I am curious to see what Taylor says next week on account of the fact that she's close to David's ex-wife.

And if it is depression, then I'm incredibly sympathetic to her b/c I know it can be truly debilitating.

I'm sure Kyle also really did just want to see her niece walk down the aisle. But seriously, we watched Kyle host a book signing party for Nicky Hilton last year at her store, which also gave the book t.v. airtime. If she can host a book party got you, your parents can put their grievances aside and include her husband on the guest list.

I think Kathy Hilton is simply one of those people with plenty of money, but no real social graces

I (mid-40s) think that when a woman is "over a certain age," she cares less and less about this kind of bullshit. I look awful with short hair (or, correction, when I had it short--think Rosemary's Baby--it looked awful after two weeks because my hair grows super-fast). I doubt that's gonna change with age, and I like being able to pull it all back from my face sometimes, which I can't do if it's too short. So long and unnaturally colored (whether blond or my favorite Manic Panic dark blue and/or purple) it shall remain until my dying day (perhaps it will take the focus off the tattoos that often prompt people to ask, "But what will you do about those when you're old?" I dunno; same thing I do with them now?).

I didn't like the fact that Yolanda was on this season at first.  I have changed my mind.  I love, love, love it now!  I see hours of entertainment ahead watching everyone verbally walk on eggshells in their DTs!  They don't have to say what they really think because in between the lines screams exactly what we think.  Sorry she and her kids have Lyme D, I don't want to  imply otherwise.

The producers are right there in the editing booth with them high 5ing all over the place.  She is giving them valuable footage.  I would love to be a fly on the wall as she watches.

Rinna on Andy last night was as irritating as always.  She refuses to answer the question from a caller "is Ken a douche bag?"  She laughs uproariously, says she is not going to touch that with a 10 foot pole and then says she loves him.  Oh good grief.  Go away.

I imagine David felt that he was getting a relatively young wife (there's a 15 year age difference between the two), and probably didn't expect that she'd turn into someone whose medicine/wellness cabinet rivals that of an 89 year old woman.

No, "In sickness and in health" for David Foster or what?

So earlier, people talked about how if Kyle pulled everyone out of the wedding because the rest of her family were not invited or disinvited, she'd mess up the family and hurt her nieces, causing much more problems. But here's the thing. Kyle would not be the one hurting the family or nieces, nor causing the problems. Kathy (or Nicky) - the one who disinvited people and/or only invited some of Kyle's family over others - is the one who caused problems, not Kyle

I have to wonder if there's not some small amount of anxiety that Kyle feels when it comes to Kathy and Kim. She forever seems to be interested in pleasing them even when they'll cut her off quick or not be there for moments in her daughters' lives (I still remember Kathy's absence from Farrah's college graduation party). Kyle is forever in the damned if she/damned if she doesn't position with those two women.

I thought I saw a bottle of Oxy on a table close up.

Yeah, I'm not sure how anybody would lnkw exactly what's in Yolanda's medicine closet.

Unfortunately, none of them are the kind that Kim wants. There is virtually nothing in there that will give her the feeling(s) she chases with alcohol, narcotics or aerosol cans.

Unless we've been in her closet we can't possibly know what sort of medication is in there.

Ken is a dick. Why does he have to take digs all the time. The minute the show opened up he is taking digs at Kyle's weight.

Ken is scraping for ways to stay relevant. He doesn't want to be seen just as Lisa's dog holder. So he's a lot more loose lipped these last few seasons, and we're really seeing what a judgmental, mean girl he is.

Oh that's absolutely what it is. Didn't he tell one of her daughters, when she first got sick, "This is not what I signed up for". David does not want to do any heavy lifting. He wants a hot wife to stroke his ego, nothing more.
