Lisin November 25, 2015 Share November 25, 2015 We're going to try something new this season with the First Looks topic. This topic will be unlocked when the First Look airs, and locked when the episode airs, then unlocked when the next First Look airs, and so on, because continuing to move topics from First Looks to Episode Threads is giving your mods a major headache! You (yes YOU!) can help too! If you notice that this thread is locked and a First Look is about to air or has aired, send me a PM and I'll unlock it lickety split! We've tried to have this work automatically but Bravo changes the times too much and it messes with the software on this end so now it's all manual which means sometimes I miss that the First Look has aired. 5 Link to comment

ryebread November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 Only four more days until the season opener and Bravo is running a season 5 marathon today! I have to say, I still loathe Lisa Rinna. With the heat of a thousand suns, I loathe that woman. Something tells me she's going to get a ton of airtime. And I'm kind of excited about that. Looking forward to Tuesday. I wonder why it's titled, "Life's a Pitch". 8 Link to comment

It could be quite delicious to see her in this role. She is so self absorbed it could be fun to watch. 3 Link to comment

I can't decide if Yolanda is bragging or complaining about her lack of brain function. I wonder how she is compared to Lamar Odom? Yolanda lacks awareness about her insensitivity towards people who have suffered brain trauma. 18 Link to comment

It's like she's so panicked at the thought of losing the chronic illness spotlight, she's just pulling shit (figuratively) out of her ass now. I thought it interesting (and wise) that LisaV was showing the texts of support to Yolanda. I don't blame her after Yolanda's previous cries of nobody comes to see me. Yolanda certainly has no trouble texting, tweeting and Instagramming. 11 Link to comment
Lura November 28, 2015 Share November 28, 2015 The way that Yolanda delivered that line, plus the look on her face, made me question just exactly what her intent was -- whether it was meant as "pity me" or "look how unusual I am." I hesitate to say so, but it almost seemed to me that Yolanda was trying to point out to someone everything she'd gone through but with almost a sense of pride in it. It seems to me like everything is a guessing game with Yolanda -- a guessing game for the rest of us. Is she sick or pretending to be sick? If she's sick, is it from a valid disease, or is it because she's talked herself into being sick? Nobody knows, and maybe even Yolanda doesn't know. 7 Link to comment
breezy424 November 28, 2015 Share November 28, 2015 I think Yo likes the attention she gets 'when' she's sick. From everyone especially from her husband and kids. You've got a husband that does a lot of traveling and two daughters who moved to NY. There's certainly not as much interaction as she probably likes. And even if she traveled with David, he's busy working. The kids are older and involved in their own thing. I also think she over exaggerates. And people are going to question it all because sometimes she can conveniently just pull it all together. I hate to say it but she needs a hobby (AKA Bethenny to Jill Zarin). That's awful. I know... 17 Link to comment
mbutterfly November 28, 2015 Share November 28, 2015 (edited) Yolanda definitely exaggerates. And saying "I have no brain function" does seem insensitive to families who have a loved one with no brain function. When she says it is like "a murder mystery" I believe that is the clue. She enjoys the mystery in whatever it is she is perceiving. I'm beyond caring about what she actually has (in any real, human caring sense). Now I'm going to sit back and enjoy the playing out of the mystery as long as it doesn't dominate the season. Otherwise, give me the bitchy chicks in fun clothing -- let them sail the seven seas, pull hair in the air. Give me ridiculous drama and I'm pretty happy. becauseIsaidso November 28, 2015 Share November 28, 2015 So, Bravo was lying all along....what little I have seen of a preview for the new season shows arrogant, lying, drunk-druggie kimmie front and center...there are a LOT of almost former drunk-druggies out there who are making an honest stab at sobriety...and here is a nasty, drunk druggie who has proven she has zero interest in working for sobriety in any way, shape, or form. ...and Bravo thinks this is the sort of RH the viewing audience deserves? No. Just no. And to think I had actually been looking forward to a kim/brandi free season complete with a return to house porn, money porn, and silly pretentiousness. ...fool me once, shame on you....fool me twice, shame on me...buh-bye RHBH...guess it's Top Chef, Below Deck, perhaps a teeny bit of Southern Comfort and not much else for me on this channel. ...thank goddess there are still a few episodes of Fargo left... 5 Link to comment

Fun lady. I just wish LisaV had not taken the bait. Yes, I think she said that she broke her back while giving birth. The 6 year depression was a result from the divorce, I believe. Yo describes herself in extremes. Either incredibly sick and practically on her death bed or as some kick ass strong Dutch farm girl (remember, she chased down an armed robber in her home while breastfeeding). eurekagirl mOo November 29, 2015 Share November 29, 2015 Granted I've never given birth. (I got my son when he was 4) But is it even possible to BREAK YOUR BACK while giving birth????? In 57 years I've never heard of such a thing. And if you did break it wouldn't you be in bed not chasing robbers down the driveway? This woman makes Brooks look good! E.T.A. ---- For someone who's got no brain function she sure can slap on the makeup and costly clothes and run around Beverly Hills, or wherever her vacas take her. Or dance around a fire pit at a dinner she's hosting. Sick my ass. 14 Link to comment
Cosmic Muffin November 29, 2015 Share November 29, 2015 I think I've heard of women's cocyxes (coci?) slipping out of alignment during childbirth. Someone could describe that as breaking their back, I guess. The chiropractic adjustments are no fun. 5 Link to comment

I do have to admit that it was really nice to take a little vacation from the HW's these past two weeks. RHOSingapore November 30, 2015 Share November 30, 2015 I'm a VERY minimal poster, but generally loyal viewer of OC, Atlanta, BH and NYC….But I'm afraid to say that after Cancer-gate, NeNe's Swan Song, Kim 'n Brandi and Bethenny, I'm pretty much over any more viewing (unless someone here tells me otherwise). I never thought I'd say this (and mean it), but Top Chef is probably now my only Bravo fave, and I'll only be tuning in here for my Ho-wife "fixes." Thanks to you all for making the comments so much more interesting than the shows could ever be….Keep up the great work!! 6 Link to comment

breezy424 November 30, 2015 Share November 30, 2015 Yes, it is possible to 'break' your back giving birth. It happened to a friend of mine. She cracked a vertebrae when giving birth to her son. Apparently he had a large head. She kids about it. I have no idea of the 'logistics' and how that can happen if ya know what I mean. I won't go there. But there must have been an epidural involved. Or desperation to get that kid out...... 6 Link to comment

zoeysmom November 30, 2015 Share November 30, 2015 I am still trying to wrap my head around Yolanda's storyline of an incredible number of unsuccessful tries at curing her LD and somehow holding the others to some standard of comprehension and sympathy. When is the last time in real life anyone enjoyed an extended story of another's health struggle from an acquaintance? With Yolanda missing her brain function it would seem pretty impossible to explain what she subjects herself to medically for apparently no return. At some point it becomes more about adapting than searching for a cure. I am curious why Vanderpump brought it up. 5 Link to comment
Lura November 30, 2015 Share November 30, 2015 (edited) I'm toying with the idea that Yolanda is making a bid for attention, that simply having LD wasn't enough, so she grew it into these foreign country treatments and anything else that would make the world stop and say, "Poor Yolanda. This is so tragic." When I was in college, I had a sorority sister who had one thing after another happen to her. She had all sorts of accidents and health issues, and it was almost unbelievable. To me, it WAS unbelievable. Even the dean of the university asked me to come to his office to discuss this girl because he couldn't figure it out. One night, our sorority got into a snowball fight with the most popular fraternity on campus. I was viewing it from my second floor window, right over the action. I saw this girl stop throwing snowballs, check out all around her including behind her to ascertain that no one was looking at her, and carefully sat down in the middle of the concrete driveway, then lay down as if she'd collapsed. In no time at all, she had the undivided attention of the entire sorority and entire fraternity gathered around her, everyone panicked about what had happened to her. Someone called the emergency squad, and off she went in an ambulance. I blew the whistle. Problem solved. She was out of the sorority and sent home for psychiatric care by the university. Yolanda's situation reminds me so much of this old incident. She keeps pushing the envelope as if to find out how hard she can convince others. Now, her kids are also victims. How far can she take this? I'm not convinced of my feelings. I just keep wondering.... Edited November 30, 2015 by Lura 16 Link to comment

racked December 1, 2015 Share December 1, 2015 I can't figure out what is going on with Yo. A former model needing something new to get her the attention her modeling/looks used to would make sense? But she and David just got married so you would think that wouldn't be necessary. She does tend to talk in extremes and not explain things clearly. Bella is now a model in the public eye - has she actually talked about having Lymes or was it just that one mention by Yo? It's all so suspicious. I much prefer Lisa Rinna as the shit stirrer villain than Brandi. I don't like her very much on this show, and the drama seems a bit fake with her, but anything is better than Brandi. 3 Link to comment
izabella December 1, 2015 Share December 1, 2015 I think Yo has made herself ill with all the "treatments" she's been chasing. At this point, her symptoms may not be fake because her body is reacting to all the treatments and drugs (and that shit ton of mysterious "supplements" she gulps, which are not harmless even if they are "organic") rather than the original illness. She may have had something at some point which made her unwell, but she's made it 100x worse with her lemon and almonds diets plus every medical treatment she could convince someone to give her. Yo should spend a few months at her mom's house in Sweden eating fresh foods from the farms and cutting out all the nonsense she's been putting into her body. I can't figure out what is going on with Yo. A former model needing something new to get her the attention her modeling/looks used to would make sense? It shouldn't be necessary, but she's got two daughters who just left home and are making careers for themselves while Yo's modeling career is long over. I can see Yo going through a mid-life crisis due to lack of fawning attention focused on her. 8 Link to comment

I would believe "Milady Malady" is most likely both a God Damned Hypochondriac and a Munchausen Mommie. Remember, she was monitoring every bite an already slender Gigi took at her party (only one nibble of her birthday cake allowed if she must),and she suggested that Gigi eat "AN ALMOND" when she was feeling weak from dieting, and IIRC she gave Anwar a breakfast of juice and supplements. She is enjoying the attention, faking it or not. That's her pay off. Worse thing that could happen for her is "a cure." 12 Link to comment
