mtlchick February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 This John Legend/Common song only reminds me....that their lip sync battle is coming on soon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWxrKoPBW1E#t=32 Link to comment
anonymiss February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 Finally someone I wanna hear sing: John Legend. His voice sounds tired but he's still bliss to my ears. And Common can get it. 1 Link to comment
mojoween February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 Poor John Legend and Common keep getting shunted to the 11 o'clock hour on these awards shows. I could listen to John sing and play anything forever and ever, though. 2 Link to comment
Diana Berry February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 My bad thought walker was last year. Rip. Link to comment
SmithW6079 February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 (edited) people can say it multiple times and I'll never agree that Jennifer Aniston was snubbed. She shouldn't have been nominated for the ones she was. The movie was horrible and her performance was average at best. She's a mediocre sitcom actress at best; I don't understand the fascination with her. (Although I did like her in "We're the Millers.)""Glory" is a rap song? Edited February 23, 2015 by SmithW6079 3 Link to comment
McManda February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 (edited) I think NPH is a fine host, in general. His audience sucks tonight. You can't save something where people are too uptight to care. Plus, after Seth McFarlane everyone involved in the production is too afraid of offending people, so NPH doesn't have a lot to work with, scripted or otherwise. aradia22 February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 I bet this makes some people in the audience nervous/uncomfortable. Is anyone going to skip the standing ovation? Link to comment
Umbelina February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 Best performance of a song tonight. 6 Link to comment
ParadoxLost February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 A good host will ad lib and make it work. He's not a good host. He cannot figure out how to go off script and wing it for the sake of making the show more entertaining. I don't disagree. I think NPH works best in a venue where the audience is on his side. The Tony audience almost reveres him. He can't really host well when the audience is not. Oscars have always been tough for hosts that aren't film people. 4 Link to comment
thuganomics85 February 23, 2015 Author Share February 23, 2015 Wouldn't want to be in that room if Glory doesn't win. I think it will though. Link to comment

truthaboutluv February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 Things you learn - totally didn't know John Legend's real name is John Stevens and that Common's name is Lonnie Lynn. Yeah I can see why he goes by Common. 5 Link to comment
mojoween February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 So when you win an Oscar, it goes to your given names, but didn't Barbra Streisand once proclaim "the Oscar goes to Eminem for "Lose Yourself"? Link to comment

Rick Kitchen February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 Was that the first shoutout to God? I read something the other day that said that more people have thanked Steven Spielberg than have thanked God, in the history of the Oscars. Link to comment
