This breaks my heart. Used children's toys are SO EASY To find for cheap. I've gotten really nice toys for less than 2 dollars!!! There is no excuse. I find this psychologically abusive. Imagine how it would feel to open a bag expecting a gift for your birthday and get diapers. WTF.

Sierra posted that her littlest is in hospital, he's only a few months old and had a febrile seizure following RSV Bronchiolitis. The worst part? In her incredibly long Instagram post, she includes a selfie in the helicopter and talks about how she asked a nurse for a photo so that she could document her motherhood journey. This was right after she was told her kid would have to be flown to a specialist children's hospital.

It makes me sick that Michelle, Jill and Sierra always make their children's medical emergencies about them. Their children are scared and hurting yet each of these women find the time to take photos of them and talk about how they are feeling.

I rushed here to talk about the same thing, but you beat me to it, Chocolateaddict! 😘 I’m surprised by practically nothing nowadays, and it takes A LOT to render me speechless, but this?  This is beyond the pale.  She took a selfie in the freaking airplane.  She asked a busy nurse to take a damn picture.  There’s something very wrong with this woman.  I’m positive that if my baby was that sick, the very last thing I would be thinking about is social media.

At least she got proper medical care for the baby instead of calling Dr. Jill or some other incompetent. The bar is set pretty low. 

I think these women get little validation through their rigid belief system, so they go to social media to post their dramas and hear how important and wonderful they are. To those beyond their circle, the lack of awareness is stunning.

Shouldn't Nurie look happier? I don't think I looked particularly thrilled when I got engaged, but I was sick as a dog and had just had a fight with my mother and Mr. Ponga's way of proposing was to ask me to grab a flyer he had picked up at a jewelry story about buying diamond rings and say "what do you think?" But then, I was 33 and we'd been living together for almost 4 years.

Nurie's been preparing for this - and only this - her entire life. Shouldn't she be ecstatically happy?

However, in terms of a spark between the two of them, I detect none. Nurie prattles on about how Godly Nathan is, but there's no there there.

That drives me crazy, too! I used to work with a mom who almost seemed to get off on her kids being sick. I found it very disturbing. 

I also found it very telling that Sierra said "we" were diagnosed rather than Merrick was diagnosed. Um, Sierra, bitch, you weren't diagnosed with RSV. Put your fucking phone down and be with your kid.

I've always thought the Rodrigues kids had the potential to be attractive if they were adequately fed and the girls weren't so horrible styled. Poor Nathan is kind of goofy-looking, though.

I like Nurie's dress. It would look better without the feather duster under it, but the outfit looks like something Kendra would wear.

I actually think they seem sweet together. It must be hard to have chemistry with her family hovering everywhere, and not having any alone time and barely allowed to touch. They do look happy to me.

Nurie looked ready to cry in the screen shots, but that also seems natural. I mean there must be mixed emotions. She's going to spend her life with Nathan, but she's also leaving her family who's she barely parted from ever.

I hope they're very happy together and spend less time with their families after they've been married for a while.

  I can't wait to see the reaction from David and Priscilla. I have to admit David is one of my least favorite fundies and I look forward to see his interactions with the Rods.

David Waller is probably seething. But he and Prissy will issue a joint statement about how happy they are for Nathan. Imagine stick up his ass David being forced to interact with Jill (so Jill can brag about it). Talk about oil and water!

I doubt the Wallers and Rods have met in person, but the Wallers certainly done some research once the courtship was announced. I just can't see David putting up with Jill's antics and histrionics.

David Waller just seems pompous, smug, and holier than thou. He and Priscilla haven't said anything about this courtship which says a lot. I get the feeling if they liked the family/girl better they would have said something.  Especially after watching the Youth for Christ Conference video, where David and Priscilla did a talk a for young people with JB and Michelle (in same video, Michelle went off on her girls wearing pants). David went on and on about how Priscilla had been the perfect fundie SAHD really focusing on her relationships with her younger brothers, "investing in her younger brothers".  Now one of those brothers is courting a Godly maiden and there has been silence. So I get the sense he isn't too keen on the relationship.

David should take heart though. He's actually very much like the Rods. For example this line from  his (David Waller's) courtship story/about page: "Having never dated any girls except my mom and sisters, it was super special to go out to a few restaurants during this time and share in many special memories. It was also a very meaningful time to hear of Priscilla’s heart desires, dreams, goals, and also some of her concerns and fears. This sharing united our hearts at a much deeper level than I have ever known in any relationship and has been one of the best things that has ever happened in my walk with the Lord."

Yes, I think that's what it is! I know quite a few guys who were goofy-looking and then suddenly turned handsome, but I feel like it usually happens earlier than this. But maybe he'll eventually grow into his features a bit more.
