Mahmoud’s brother tries to talk to Nicole. He does appear to be a bit more mature and calm. Part of the problem is that little brother has never had a girlfriend or a wife and most likely hasn’t really had many healthy relationships.  He is Egyptian and she is American, well, really, he is Muslim and she is not quite there yet and is rebelling against the customs and clothing. If anything does work with them and this is not a fabricated storyline, it will take time for both to change and adjust.

Jen has been home for three months and has just gotten her ten year visa and is headed back to India in a few weeks. She chat with her nosy girlfriends again, and the one who claimed that Rishi kinda came on to her warned her about seeing him again. Uh, it is possible that he will lie to her face when she returns but that is her life and her lesson to learn. The friends can just stand by with the dustpan and broom.

Jen’s friend is a smug shit-stirrer. She ASKED him for a photo and he’s a personal trainer (and a model?) so sending a shirtless photo serves to advertise his business. She also made up a story about a future visit to Jaipur but somewhere along the way he realized she was Jen’s friend and HE shut things down. 

Edited to add: I don't for a minute think he's been celibate for over two years then agreed to her "no sex until we're married" stance unless he also follows Darcey's new friend's victim's practice of sperm build up (I forget the term). Could that be a thing among personal trainers?

This was discussed on these boards previously.  That’s where I read about this condition.   Im not sure it’s based on science, but it’s a phenomenon none the less.  Putting in spoilers since not on the episode.

I don't trust not-Mahmood.  It seems like he's just gaslighting Nicole to break her will more slowly to mold her into a Muslim wife.  The teaser of next episode with a much more articulate Egyptian woman may expand upon that.

Danielle seems to treat Yohan as a walking vibrator.  It's not surprising that she's oblivious to his feelings about meeting her ex.  This reminds me a lot of Ari and Bini, and that relationship with her ex-husband never seemed platonic to me.

We already got a teaser of Yohan acting like a jerk in front of the ex.  I'm betting there's not a lot more meat to that encounter.

As for Jen's eyes-it reminds me of how Princess Diana would tilt her head down and then look up with her eyes.  It seems to me that Jen has adopted that 'look.'  As soon as her friend showed Jen the photo I thought it looked more like a professional shoot, so it makes sense it's on his instagram to advertise his business.

I just can't get over that Nicole is almost 40 years old and yet acts so immature.  We catch up to her at the hotel and she is fuming that her husband did not come back for her, yet she demanded that he leave her there.  Although I don't like either one of them it does seem like she keeps trying to egg him on in order to start a fight (IMO).

Daniele bothers me to no end.  Her little 'tee hee, I was supposed to return my car plates on my way to the airport, oh well...tee hee" irked me to no end.  Again, she is well over 40 and trying to act all innocent.  She will make Yohan's life miserable.  I also think that she believes she is fooling the viewers about what is really going on.

Jeymi looked lovely in her wedding dress, but I think she is in for a world of hurt.

I admit I was fooled by brother Mahmoud's offer to negotiate with the couple. I thought he was sincerely trying to see both sides and be a sympathetic listener to Nicole's complaints. He was all "We can fix this, you must be patient with little Bro, you're our sister, don't talk about things that upset you..." but now realize it was all a calculated act to make Nicole think she had an ally. Ahmed was the same guy who joked about hiding her passport and his meek little imported bride claimed she had no need to go out or have friends outside the family unit. Brainwashed (?) Fatima was held up as an example of a "good Muslim wife." 

Nicole had better leave while she still has the chance. She may truly love Mahmoud (lord knows why, IMO) but she needs to be realistic that just because you love someone doesn't mean you should be together. Pack up your Juki and go home! (that could be a song)

What an amazing contrast between Isabel's parents' acceptance of Gabe's trans status vs. Jeymi's not even wanting to our herself to her own parents.

As a close friend of a few trans individuals, I was an absolute mess with Isbael's dad's words to him. I knew it was going to be OK, but I didn't know how OK it was going to be. His mom was so cool - "You're honest? Great! That's all I care about" with a big smile. That just made my day to have them accept Gabe, saying they were human and going to make mistakes but they wanted to learn and grow with the experience. My heart grew three sizes. ❤️ I also don't blame Gabe for being skeptical after he came out of the moment and was shitting on the 'acceptance parade' he had the day before with them. Also, points for him including the kids in his proposal.

Nicole and Macchmoooood - ugh. Glad they got a TLC paycheck because they're basically a pair of annoying fucking toddlers. They both need a time-out, a juice box, and a damn nap. Oh, and to never communicate with each other again for our sakes. Maccchmmooooud seems to be very much in a teenaged, black-and-white mindset as evidenced by his reaction to learning about his brother's previous tequila habit. It seems like he found a the first girl who actually liked him, he wanted to get laid, and he hopped on the marriage train. Nicole seems like she just wanted something different and thought that was her way out of delivering pizzas or something.

If I were India, I'd be like, "NOPE. You're too fucking stupid to ever come back here again" and deny her that damn 10-year visa. I am sending my sincerest apologies to the Indian people that you have to endure this absolute DING DONG for the next decade. And her friend just sat on this half-nekkid pic of Rishi that she received BEFORE Jen went to India? I love how Rishi got caught and blocked the friend after he figured out that was catfished. 😂 He's as bad as the catfishing friend by not saying anything to Jen - was he just waiting for her to confront him after the friend ratted him out?

Both Nicole and Mahmoud are immature, had no idea what marriage was, and just rushed in to a lousy and codependent relationship that also comes with a massive dose of language, cultural, and religious issues. I don’t know what his brother’s motives are - he may see that his little brother is childish, has no relationship experience, and picked the wrong woman. Or Nicole is tough to bring into line. His own wife is happy to stay at home and be subservient, have no friends, nothing. Nicole is isolated and is becoming more isolated. The family unit is not healthy and she has no real objective support system there or any sort of friend/escape. A friend who can notice any gaslighting or controlling, manipulative behavior. She should have not returned and divorced Mahmoud after round one.

Rishi’s towel photo looked professional. Jen should ask about other women. It is not likely that there was no one the past two years. Maybe a few little flings. Not up to her friend to catfish because he will figure it out.  She has enough red flags - his family doesn’t know he is engaged to her, he is pretty slow on the engagement, he has only started to explain that she is likely to spend married life with him as being the family maid and living with everyone.

Gabe’s parents are probably happy that Isabel found a man who genuinely loves her and is stable and can accept the kids. They care about their daughter’s happiness and that she may have found a good partner and a decent life with Gabe.

Daniele, you are a mess, your spiritual advisor should actually being advising you. And oh, your friend is probably more and you are just sticking it to Yohan a bit.

Jeymi, you married Kris way too fast. You should have waited a couple of months. Spent that time getting to know her and then consider marriage.

Back in the 90s, when Apple was dominating the computers-in-education market, their slogan was "think different ".  They sent a free set of these posters to every school in America, I think. Ours were passed on to me, the school librarian.  
The phrase still makes my brain hurt.  But I should've kept the posters, they are now collectible.

I think Nicole is a "young" 40 (or almost) year old. She probably never went out much or had that many life experiences. I'll say possibly, because I can't remember the first episode where they may have explained her a bit more. I like her and just watch her trying to navigate through this life choice she's made.

Jeymi looked beautiful in her simple, sleek, sophisticated wedding dress. Kris - well, her mom's dress seemed to fit her style. Very old school, but it's nice that she was able to feel closer to her mom for her wedding. However, this marriage is doomed. They know very little about each other - and Kris has a boatload of issues and baggage.

Both Jen and Princess Diana have/had what is known as "sanpaku eyes" where the white shows at the bottom. Jen also has "hooded" eyes which she explains as "ptosis" where the upper eyelids droop. Ptosis can be corrected through surgery, especially if it affects your vision.

Okay that photo Jen’s friend sent of Rishi was a HUGE Reach. That’s a photo you’d use as a modeling/fitness portfolio. Most “sketchy” photo’s like that are often taken in a poorly lit bedroom/bathroom. Although I find it hard to believe he’s been able to go without sex for over 2+ years. 

Danielle is a damn liar, You know she would explode if Yohan remained in contact with ex’s. She nearly gave herself an aneurysm over a previous exs abortion… you know another women’s decision that had no impact on her life whatsoever. Hard to take anyone serious who believes a guy with a knotted chain & food coloring dyed water can determine what path to take in life.

Nicole- You had FREEDOM. You chose to leave it behind & live in a place where women aren’t viewed as equals.You are not the victim, no one kidnapped you. You got on that plane all by yourself. Good points.  I also don’t like the way Nicole vehemently tells her husband to leave her alone, let her go, runs away, etc. THEN later on camera says she didn’t really mean it.  That’s not ok.  That kind of behavior perpetuates the myth of a women not really meaning she wants to be left alone.

It seems that the Muslim men we've seen on this show are attracted to the exotic or forbidden, and want that in the privacy of their bedroom, but societal pressure causes them to want a compliant, dutiful Muslim wife in public.  They want the "freak" but only in private.  But they found it in public, right?

"Poor" Nicole could have a great ally in Fatima.  She went through exactly what Nicole is today, and it appears that Fatima was hoping Nicole would be a good friend.  Team up, ladies!  Fatima even admitted that she hates the hijab, but wears it for peace.  Nicole needs to compromise, too!

What does Mahmoud offer Nicole? He's like a deer in headlights, but yet somehow controlling. 

I can not stand Danielle. She is a bitchy little troll who will never be happy with anything Yohan does, including breathing.
