Agreed!  If they are looking for diversity, however, I can think of one person who I believe would be a great fit with the temperament and ages of this cast...Star Jones.

And if they’re wanting to diversify (which they should), there’s so many options.  I’d love some Asian / Indian flare.  They bring the money, glamour and smarts!  How about some New Youricans????  Now, THAT, I would be here for.

That is a myth.  You actually CAN live really well in Manhattan.  But the way these women want to live, no matter where they go, they'll always be broke, because they have the disease of more.

Neither Leah, nor Sonja nor Dorinda should ever get close to alcohol.  One is too many and 500 isn't enough with them.

Ah, I believe you; I've only visited NYC and don't really know. I live in a big city in Texas where you can get an extravagant house in an established neighborhood for 500k. I assumed someone like Sonja might fare better out of the city and not be constantly stressed and facing ruin. But I get that she's going broke chasing a lifestyle, not because of the location.

Just read a blurb in a tabloid that Bravo is looking to offload Dorinda, Ramona and Sonja. LuAnn and Leah will remain and three new women will be added to reflect diversity in NYC. One of the women being named as possible cast member is Kimora Lee Simmons. Maybe Bravo comes on here and reads all the dislike of Dorinda and the need for giving RHONY a much needed facelift with fresh personalities. I say Amen!

Me too. I wouldn’t miss Ramona and Dorinda, but I would miss Sonja. I fear for her mental health if she were to be shown the door. Plus she and Luann obviously care for each other a lot.

There is no way Sonja’s carrying costs are $50,000 monthly unless she has like five mortgages on the place. Josh Flagg (Million Dollar Listing LA) is her friend and when asked about the townhouse recently on WWHL, said that he has told her she has overpriced it several times. NYC real estate taxes are a freak of nature unto themselves, a single family home pays less in taxes than the same home that’s been divided up into apartments for the less than 1%ers. Sonja rented out the house for either $30 or $32k a month, she wouldn’t have done that if she was losing $20k a month. I think Sonja consistently overpriced it because it’s her last asset and she has mortgaged it so much she has almost no equity and can’t contemplate walking away with “nothing.”

I thought Dorinda showed a flash of her former kindness when talking to Sonja about the house. I’ve been where you have to make repairs, and don’t have enough money to do them and it is a constant and unrelenting type of stress.

I enjoy the tiny flashes of Avery that show she loves her mom, but can roll her eyes at her idiocy as well. Also, what has happened in the world when Ramona is the most rational of the bunch?

The scene with the two sisters was sad on so many levels. Why on earth would Leah’s sister have felt the need to tell her “mom says she doesn’t like you.”? That’s just cruel. On the other hand, what the hell kind of mom says that anyway? Then to go on and smirk about her friend and friend’s fiancé?

Whomever spoke about Sonja no longer having the money to keep up with this “group” of friends was dead on. She isn’t necessarily jealous of Ramona per se, but for Sonja’s lost “true place” in society.

I think it was the nude panty part of the suit that we saw. It could have been blurred because we didn’t see the tattooed wings, but I don’t think she’d put her bare snatch in Lu’s face in front of 100 people...

She did though.  Check out the 58:39 mark.  Full on snatch.

Lu didn't know Leah's dress had ridden up while she rode her wild pony 🙂

Everything I know of Leah from 15 episodes of RHONY says otherwise.  In fact, it basically says the exact opposite.  I have no doubt that Leah would gladly bare her snatch In Lu’s face in front of 100 people on camera.  That is who she is.

Yep!  That is who she is.

Property tax records are available to the public. The property tax on Sonja’s house is just over $31,000 a year (not a month) but she hasn’t paid this tax since 2018. This will soon be a very big problem for her. She only has one mortgage, $3,300,000 from 2015. Sonja clearly needs to sell this property before it’s sold in a tax auction.

Ramona taking I presume that expensive clutch over to the Howives to throw it in their face what her better friends got her was met with LuAnn basically telling her to go away she wasn’t playing that game. Wow.

THAT cracked me. It's been the only scene I've wanted to see more than once (or at all) this whole season. I rewound it 3x because each of the "ladies"  were all talking at once but saying the same thing: "Get-da-fuck-outta here!" I even took a break from my disdain of Mean Dorita (as Tnsley boxer friend call her lol).

Oh, and the clomping hooves sound of Sonya's stomping on that mirror or glass table thingy. I swear they enhanced it in someway. The editors are shady evil geniuses.

I can’t believe she was even asked to speak at Wharton! I’m also trying to understand how you can have a five year contract (I gather she means lease)with renters. Who signs a lease for five years?

My aunt & uncle just renewed the lease on the house they’re renting and it’s for five years.

BTW, if Sonja’s five year deal was a million dollars, that’s just over $16,000 per month - not the $32,000 she claimed.

I actually wouldn't want Sonja, Luann, or Ramona to leave.

Leah, she doesn't fit in, like they said about Phoebe on "Friends", "She lifts right out".

Dorinda, well she's Satan.  So get rid of Leah and Dorinda and I'd be fine with that.

But it feels wrong to get rid of the O.G.'s even though I bitch about them.  I learned my lesson the hard way, now I miss Bethenny so much.

Sonja should probably keep specifics out of her story of her grand life because it’s embarrassing when she tries to name drop something like flying over the carpet on Pan-Am which went out of business in 1991 long before her ex bought the townhouse! A small regional carrier was using the name and logo at the time so maybe she meant she flew it from Rhode Island but that’s not very glamorous!

Was it just me, or did Luann look really uncomfortable when Leah was grinding on her?  I mean, she was laughing a bit but it seemed a bit forced and tight.

Doesn’t it seem like the group trip is always Mexico or Miami on this franchise?  It’s getting boring.  As awful as the girls on RHOBH are, at least they go on great trips.  Dubai and Provence were so fascinating to watch.

I just remembered Sonja telling her story about transporting her carpet on Pan Am. Pan Am folded in 1991...so she was decorating the townhouse 8 years before she married Morgan? Sonja needs to be reminded It is better to keep it simple when bullshitting.

As much as I dislike what Sonja has become I would feel sorry for her if she lost her home. Sonja has had Bethenny, Heather and realtors trying to help her. She is very stubborn and is not going to listen to anyone.  I can't understnd why she is unable to pay her taxes and mortgage. She must be making a very good salary from this show after all of these years. Maybe she's paying off her prior bankruptcy.  Sonja is the type of person who needs someone to handle her finances, pay her bills and give her a monthly stipend. I don't think she is capable at this point of changing and becoming a responsible adult.

I completely agree that Sonja needs a financial manager, but one she would have to obey. I just want to clarify, I can only see that she hasn’t paid her property taxes since 2018, and the amount of her mortgage. I have no information on whether or not she is delinquent on paying her mortgage.

Do you know exactly what Sonja got from the settlement?  The townhouse and lots of money?  I know she blew it away on crazy business deals, etc.  Now, she has to depend on a man for support.  It doesn’t look to promising with the way she presents herself.  Poor thing.

As for Ramona's choice of clothing.... I have a friend who has often pointed out when we have seen someone who looks like they dressed in a time warp that they are probably holding on to the fashions of the era when they felt happiest.  I'm guessing the 80's and 90's are that time for Ramona.

Interesting theory, and I agree with it!  I think this is the same theory that causes Sonja to not be able to let go of her townhome.

Sonja has held onto the high price despite all advice otherwise.

She hasn't renovated anything, and I believe it's not just due to cost, but because she wants to remain in the bygone era where she was Mrs. Morgan.  I know Andy jokes a lot about "Grey Gardens", but if you've seen the movie, it's so much the same.  Trees were literally growing inside that home (the Grey Gardens home), and Sonja's lack of attention to even basic things like old plumbing are very reminiscent of that situation.

Yes, she's lost her place in society.  Ramona's 50 "friends" are no longer Sonja's friends, because Sonja can't afford to keep up.  As I said in an earlier post, I'm on the outskirts of this world in my city, and I have friends where this has happened.  They lose their wealth in some way (divorce where it turns out the husband didn't have the money they thought, etc.) and they can no longer afford the seats at those tables, or the expensive exclusive country clubs, etc., and suddenly, it's like they just.....vanish.

Well, RHBH is losing me and so is this shitshow. It seems as if each get together Leah, Dorinda & Sonya are all vying for the drunkest, wildest and most out of control HW on the show. Since when did middle aged women get off on grinding, twerking and feeling each other up?  And feigning masturbation in public? Yikes!  I’m no Ramona fan but these “ ladies” really outdid themselves with inappropriate behavior and she should have shot them down. No one wants to see that! It’s not entertaining in person or watching it on television. No wonder Leah’s mother has issues with her.

Where are all the men?  This show needs men like BH.  Parties with men, troubles with men, and anything th@t goes along with them.  These women have nothing to show except tearing apart everything in sight and acting out like lunatics.  Here comes another shit trip to Mexico where they will tear up the joint.  Maybe they will get locked up in jail.  Maybe Dorinda will finally get a mug shot of her own.

She re-mortgaged it a few years back because she was so desperate to keep it.

This way, she was able to get new financing, and if the new payments are stretched out for another 30 years, the monthly payments are presumably low enough for her to pay.

She filed bankruptcy a few years back:

Lots of people fleeing the city now. It’s falling into disrepair. Crime definitely up — by a lot! Many are leaving for the suburbs, especially now that we all got a taste of working from home and that it’s possible. Broadway not able to open keeps tourists from coming back. If it doesn’t turn around soon, prices will drop. Hasn’t happened quite yet, but it will. Then you will be able to buy at a steal.

No wonder she is falling apart.  NYC charges about 18% interest on unpaid taxes.  Plus penalties and late fees.  They must be pretty close to foreclosing on her.

About $3,000 per month in taxes is not that high for an expensive property like hers.  If she actually had renters for awhile that first rent payment would have paid her taxes for the year.  She's a mess.

I was in NYC last week, didn't look like it was falling into disrepair.  Crime:  There was zero crime in March and April.  People who have beefs are now taking shit to the streets.  The Hudson Valley is nice but the WiFi is much better in NYC.

Yeah, people are exaggerating.  It's quieter because of less tourists and there is crime in certain pockets of NYC like there always is, nothing new.  The only serious issue is Covid-19 and unemployment, like all over the country.

The fact that they had to board up all the stores on Fifth Avenue testifies that all is great.

An exodus of the middle class has accelerated as 450,000 people have moved out in the past six months.

Broadway is dead and Wall Street is transitioning into everyone working from home.

Soon New York will be exclusively the province of the very rich and the very poor. It always was more or less but it is going to get very bad. These New York Housewives are insulated because in relative terms they are quite rich.

When they meet regular working class people like when they went to The Parkside restaurant they act like they are in the zoo.

The Real Housewives of NewYork has nothing to do with the reality of life in New York.

Sonja's a mess...alcohol issues galore has really taken a toll on her. I don't care how many face lifts or procedures she has, if she continues to drink at the rate we see every week, it's not going to matter how tight her skin is...I think the producders are looking for fresh faces and younger women. Kimora Lee Simmons isn't "young" per se but has alot of reality TV experience under her belt and kids from several different fathers...the stuff reality TV is built on.

Kimora once licked the top of every donut on her talk show set, so that no one else could eat them. She was born to be a Bravo Real Housewife.
