That is what I meant. I go for a short drive every week. When it was below -30 here, I did plug the car in for a few hours before going out.

I didn’t mean to imply you do that but I know many people who are afraid of the battery running down in the winter and they just let the car idle which actually makes things worse.  My alley is impassable during parts of the winter so occasionally the battery needs to be jumped no matter what.

Wouldn’t that be contingent upon him being smart enough to have the required boxes in his male brain?

I have no sympathy for Kalani at all (the children are another story though).  She wanted what she wanted and thought she could change Asuelo.  And, like people every where, she is now understanding that nobody can change anyone else.  I also don't like the threats about Lo being made to Asuelo.  If Lo wants to be angry at someone it should be his own daughter who now has TWO children with someone who was not ready for marriage and parenthood.  I'm sure it was easy for Kalani to fall in lust with Asuelo when she was on a nice vacation and he was the star of the show with his fire dancing (which really is quite thrilling to watch).  But lust/infatuation is not necessarily the best foundation for marriage and parenthood.

I am so glad that Paul's mother has finally stood up to him.  However, it does allow Paul to be a martyr in his own mind (I still have personal property in the house...).  I'm sure he promised Karine that his mother would help them and now Karine is seeing the reality of the situation.  Again, just like with Kalani, I have no sympathy for Karine.  She learned immediately who Paul was and still chose him as a way to improve her life.  She had several opportunities to not move forward, but she chose to remain with him and marry him (and procreate with him!).

The most positive thing I can write about Colt and Larissa is...at least they did not have a child!

Only as long as Pol brings his own garbage bags.    If I was the parents' neighbor, and saw that fool throwing years old french fries over my fence, I would call the police.          THat's littering, and if the people have animals that ate that, it could be really bad.     I think we saw a prime example of why Pol's mother took his house key.    He's lucky that his mother paid for the hotel room, and she could have refused to do that.    I'm hoping that this is TLC's last enabling of Pol, and his bizarre actions.

I really don't know how to diagnose Colt, other than a mama's boy and I think that some of these people are brought in from a casting session to amp up the drama. I thought those potatoes were Stouffers, but I am not too familiar with prepared foods. Those steaks were huge and not even half eaten. Debbie is loving this attention and is really hamming it up, in my opinion. There is no way in hell that she would be going to Brazil on her own dime. And I don't get this "Vernessa". Colt said they were inviting her for dinner as a thank you for looking after the cats. Then in the middle of dinner they announce to her that they are going to Brazil? Makes no damn sense, and unless she works on a corner of the Strip, I don't believe Colt slept with her unless he paid for it. I am sick to death of their asses.

Angela - I don't like her either, but she is a peach compared to BGL. I have had that procedure and it is no joke. It hurts like a sonofabitch, and I wish I had been given some laughing gas. My OBGYN told me that giving me an anesthetic would hurt even more than the procedure itself. I assume she meant a local, because nitrous was never mentioned as an option. I can't wait to see Mahkul in his tacky tux and size 15W shoes.

Princess Karine is showing her colours. Like some other of these K1ers, she must have thought she was coming to America to live in a castle in the land of milk and honey. Then she woke up and found herself with Pole and a nasty busted up car complete with French fries that were so old they had birthdays (lol Robert). And even this is better than what she left in the Amazon jungle. Turn that frown upside down and stop complaining, sister. Little Pierree is the cutest baby.

Asuelo. No words for this ignorant moron. Where the hell does he think he is going to go?  I am sure that Kalani is going to get a phone call to pick him up and she should just leave his useless ass wherever it is, but she won't.  She is no prize herself but she is better off without him and I am sure her family will continue to support her and the kids.

Andrei's family seems too normal for all this. It was like a breath of fresh air to see them without the "critical crew" of ugly Americans that is Libby's toxic family.

I'm not sure if TLC allows you to pick sensible scenes where you leave the spouse and baby behind.   Karine has some support back home, but, chose to come to the US anyway.   She never wanted to come here before.  I never have understood why she was so insistent on marrying and reproducing with Pole. It really makes me wonder about her judgment.  Just make no sense.  There doesn't seem to be any love there.  Odd.

Pole seems like one of those people who doesn't know how to get things done. You know, they are always getting ready for a project, but, it's not quite ready.  They want to get this done, but, can't get it going.   They are just not a self starter.  I'm not sure what the solution is.  He needs a life coach bad!  If he could afford it and would listen, it would be nice.

No, Pole needs a boring, repetitive job in a factory.  Like tightening a single screw over and over and over and over and over.  That's the only type of thing I could see him doing effectively.

Beach Boulevard is a LONG street running through most of Orange County, CA.  To the south, it does end at Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach.  I failed to notice which direction the bus was headed.  Depending on where he started, he could end up in Stanton, Garden Grove, Buena Park, Whittier, or La Habra.

I think (and I am far from being knowledable) that he could not Uber or Lyft as the car needs to be a certain year or newer, like 2014 or newer?  Uber and Lyft drivers, chime in on what the year is!

He could Instacart or Door Dash (my son is Door Dashing these days) and he drives a 2002 Volvo.

Yes, Debbie might get her own friends & have her own life.  Colt had better find a wife who can cook first, because I don't think he has the first clue how to feed himself.

I can buy that TLC is being shady on Aseulu's employment front. That the whole "he hands out yogurt" all day is them frauding us. Other cast members have real jobs, too, and they pretend they don't. But that exchange in the car? If I'd been the mother I'd have pulled over and told him that if it were so easy then he could find his own way to CA or back to Utah where he could explain himself to Lo.

I agree that everyone seems to be afraid of Lo, but if Kalani were my daughter (and she would have been WELL versed in birth control, my friends, trust me on that) I would have pulled that vehicle over and asked him to get out.  No drama, no lecture, just leave.  No one calls my child a lying bitch and that her voice annoys him and gets away with it.  I would have called out my daughter as well for giving him the finger.  NOT COOL.  I would have pulled up to the family function and announced dimwit SIL would not be joining us, and oh the by the way, daughter, you are getting one of those things that goes in your arm TODAY before we continue to support you and the kids.  And let'a all remember, Kalani CHOSE him, chose his potential and now....well we all see what she has now.  Tried to change him and what a bummer......that did not work for ya?

I’ve had five uterine biopsies over the past 8 years and I was never numbed or offered anesthesia of any kind. It hurts like hell and the last time the doctor accidentally dropped the specimen and to redo the whole thing. I think Angela was encouraged to scream just like I’m sure she and Michael are encouraged to exaggerate their fights. Angela is better than gloomy Lisa.

I think Karine should just be happy to have any car. My sister who was laid off her job, and my disabled brother in law just had their rental house burn to the ground with all of their belongings. They are currently living in a crummy motel because I live in another state and he needs to be near his doctors. They are happy just to have that.Paul is creepy as hell but she still has it better than where she lived before.

About Debbie: she may have made some good points, as someone mentioned, but was it for Colt’s benefit or her own?

Quote

His behavior is deplorable, but, not unexpected for someone who is in way over their head.  Kalani ADMITTED that he was that way in the beginning and NOW she's upset that he hasn't changed.  IMO, she took advantage of a terrible situation and ignored what Asuelo was capable of.  So, now, don't act all insulted.  The big insult was by her long ago.  Their expectations are not reasonable under the circumstances, imo.

I think most people know (or at least question) when a person is intellectually challenged after a few minutes of conversation.  So what drew Kalani to Asuelo when they met?  I can’t buy lust or just sex because obviously her virginity meant something to her, otherwise why hold onto it until you’re 28+ years old.  There is no evidence that they have some deep soulmate type of connection, so if she did suspect that he wasn’t “smart” shame on her for sleeping with him.

The only reason I feel bad for him sometimes is the same reason some people feel bad for Karine.  He left his native country where he had his family, he knew the rules and knew what was expected of him and came to the US dependent on Kalani and her family. A whole lotta guys don’t have their lives figured out by 23 years old - that 6 or 7 year age gap between them is huge in terms of maturity.

He just seems to be crumbling under the weight of his new family’s expectations.  No one in the family can show him some kindness and guidance?  Help him acclimate to US culture?  Coach him a little in being a good parent?  It doesn’t come naturally to everyone. He seems like the kind of guy who would do better with specific tasks “I’ll give Oliver his bath and you give Kennedy a bottle and put his pj’s on”

Just my thoughts...

I find the American women on this show emasculating. They appear to have bullied these guys into submitting to a relationship with them. They don't make good decisions as to how to work with the situations. Asuelo is neither ready to be with with a commitment nor does it seem like he will be soon enough to avoid the showdowns he has with Kalani. Would you stick around, regardless of fault, if someone's dad threatened to physically reprimand you? He's Samoan and knows her dad will do just as he promised. She nags and nags... where are you going? What are you doing? I don't know who much of their interactions are producer enhanced but it is annoying AF. If he doesn't want to help take care of children he fathered then let him go. Revoke whatever US options she is responsible for and let him not father anywhere else except for under her roof.

I wish Kreeny was completely fluent, because Pole deserved a read like Rose gave to Ed. To think that because she lived in a “fucking wooden hut,” she should be grateful to have her baby ride around in a mobile dumpster. Kreeny should’ve flipped it and told him that to be 36 years old and from one of the wealthiest countries on earth, maybe he shouldn’t be an unemployed, homeless, filthy, BROKE BEACH, begging his elderly parents for money and driving around in a 20 year old totaled Camry with bald tires. Asshole.

I sighed a collective sigh of relief for all of Kalani's family, all the viewers, and myself when he actually left. I was wondering if TLC was going to tease us with the promise of him leaving, but no, and thank goodness for that.
