Beau stuns Stassi with a quirky but romantic engagement proposal, and when Lisa hosts an elaborate party to celebrate the happy couple, Jax and Brittany comfort Kristen when she’s left out of the festivities. Finally, Danica and the SUR staff go head to head with Sandoval, Schwartz, and the team from TomTom during an epic softball game to determine restaurant dominance, ending with James giving Katie the apology she’s always wanted.

Airs April 28, 2020.

These "Stassi's engaged!" exchanges look so organic and unscripted.

Edited to add: Oh great. Nikolai is going to be on to provide precocious insights about life.

So Scheana may be just a little pathetic, but it is not cool just how pathetic Bravo wants to make her look. Make it look like she's flirting with Stassis's little brother, really??

I am impressed with Scheana as a pitcher.

Katie is so me playing softball!  They’d put me in right field and I’d hope the ball would not come my way.  lol.

Edit: because I was wrong about the teams.  lol

I saw Tom Schwartz on season six earlier today, and the second he walked onscreen tonight, he looked markedly bigger to me.  And not in a muscular type of way.

The only reason this was a perfect proposal for Beau was because the cameras were running and it seemed like he had such a good read on Stassi and her obsession with death.  I think if he would have just gotten down on one knee and asked as soon as he felt ready, Stassi would have been saved a lot of grief and been happier, but it’s not about Stassi, it’s about producing good (mediocre) TV.  Beau is second only to Lisa in contriving scenes.

Beau could have proposed to Stassi and put a ring on it when he was so moved and then had a surprise celebration at Lisa’s house with her family at a later date when Stassi was happy and comfortable.  But where would the theatre be in that?

Stassi’s ring is a lot nicer than Katie’s engagement ring was though.  Katie’s was one fugly pear-shaped piece of bling for a person who is already kind of pear-shaped.

Could Stassi and Beau have picked an uglier, less genteel photo to put on Instagram?  What is “bougie” about being a fiancé, Beau?  It is the most common thing for people in long-term relationships to “get engaged,” often so the guy can buy himself a few years of breathing room.  Getting engaged is one of the least bougie things I can imagine.  I think he just throws things out there to sound twee.  I think he’s saying half the things he does to personally bother me, and he does a great job!

I felt bad for Kristen that she wasn’t invited.  I’m not saying Stassi should have definitely included her; I just feel bad.  Did Ariana take sarcastic digs about Kristen not being there, and how glad she was?  I thought Ariana was supposed to be all good with Kristen.  It’s bad enough Kristen’s fighting with the Witches and Lala.  Ariana had to pile on?  Yuck.

Nikolai looked shockingly similar to the way he looked at the season five reunion.  I’m pretty sure this is how he’s going to look for the rest of his life.  Why isn’t he in high school if he’s 15?  I don’t think Scheana’s at all interested in him, and I don’t think it’s ‘fun’ to edit it that way.  i think the people at the helm are just really bored and desperate.

I don’t think it was that surprising that Stassi’s family would be at her post-engagement party at Lisa’s house.  What would have been really surprising would have been if Tom Schwartz’s triplet brothers had made the flight out.

Holy shit, Dayna and Brett are still talking about Max?  What do we have invested in Max?  Or Brett?  Or Dayna, for that matter?   I would have rather had a scene of Dayna, Charli and Raquel continuing to talk about pasta than to psychoanalyze Max’s supposed feelings again.

There is an entire scene around Jax mowing a lawn.  This is my biggest fear realized.  Who thought it was a good idea for them to move to suburbia simultaneously?

Wow, sex puns during the softball game!  How much naughty fun!!  Just kidding, this was so long and boring and difficult to get through.

James apologizing to Katie was actually decent.  James Kennedy for the win this episode.  Damn, show.

Dayna needs to go away and stop ruining the moments I want to hear more about. I'm supposed to care about your tired and sad ugly boy drama when Charli got chased off before she could finish her story about almost trying spaghetti at Olive Garden the other week? I don't think so, Show.

  • The excitement fir the softball game builds.. or not. I'm not sure, but getting porno shop socks for the game sounds like something HR needs to know about. Jebus, FI Tom certainly puts 100% into everything he does. Wait, DJ Muppet Baby doesn't work at either SUR or TomTom! Dayna is playing against Max! Ariana is not playing for her team, either! I declare "Shenanigans"! Why are Dayna and Brett are still talking about Max?
  • While Stassi and Beau window shop for a mauselium, I remember they call them "monuments" and how they handle PNS in CA. Dammit, I was so hoping someone had swiped the ring. After Beau's trickery is revealed, they goto romantic businesswoman Lisa Vanderbuck's house for a party. She's cooking for the party? Call me skeptical. Boochie? Jelly? Hate those expressions and they make no sense. Once again, LaLa is gross. We discover Kristen wasn't invited but there was a place setting for her that haunted Katie. Lala calls Kristen to stir the pudding. I bet she was involved with convincing Caret to text Beau, too. Before heading to commercial, they warn us that Stassi's obnoxious little brother, Nikolas, will make an appearance to hand out sage advice and Schemer looks desperate.
  • The guests arrive for the party. Who the hell are these people? Wait, the gang actually believed Shwartz had made a sumptious seven-course dinner for them at successfull restauranteur Lisa Vanderbuck's place? Really?? Romantic busineswoman Lisa Vanderbucks tells us she arranged for Stassi's family to wait in the wings at the party. How did no one notice the camera crew with them? TBH, their attendence should be a given. Ouch! Snarky matron Lisa Vanderbucks made a backhanded compliment. Wait, where is Beau's family? Meanwhile, people are busy forwarding Carter's text to Beau amongst themselves, not that it's any of their beeswax. Meanwhile, Nikolas laddles out his own producer-fed brand of precosious wisdom. Shut up, Nikolas. I could have sworn he already made his seasonal obligatory appearance. Britanny says she's jealous that Stassi had a party there. Better luck next time! Hey, maybe you can claim you lost the marriage certificate? Oh crap, what have I done?
  • Meanwile, at SUR... the girl who claims to have never eaten pasta claims she almost ate some by accident at Olive Garden. Say what? Shut up pasta-girl! Dayna starts talking about Max AGAIN. Shut up, Dayna. You are so totally into Max. Lots of sexual single entendres are said.
  • ... the next morning, despite her earlier protestations, Stassi has become a brizezilla. Yeah, Beau, you are in it now.
  • Jax knows grass *snicker*
  • The softball game... crap, is it going to continue into next week? Naturally, Lisa Vanderbucks joins in the "fun". Katie's just here for the food. Brett, you do not need to impres Lisa Vanderbucks. After the game, Ariana shows us she's KNOWS comedy by accidentally hitting herself in the face with her bat.

You know what's sad? I couldn't care less about Stassi's proposal, but it's the only thing cared about in the teaser for this week's ep.

That's because the other half of the show was that stupid softball game!  No one's tuning in to watch that 😄

And again we have Lala showing her ass (literally) and confirming what a low rent bitch she really is.  How DARE Kristin be miffed at her for calling her up to make sure she knew she wasn’t to come to the party and then calling her out for asking a question, forcing poor Stassi to act like the bitch she REALLY is the night before.

Lisa even went to their softball game. Like pls go away. It’s just weird how she’s at like every event now.

Dayna talking about how her and Brett have really deep conversations made me laugh. Is there anything they talk about besides Max. How annoying. I don’t even like Max either.

Of course Katie can’t even try to play.

I was not minding Janes this episode.

Charli bleh. I don’t care about her pasta adventures.

Why doesn’t Kristen either cut her lawn herself or hire someone. It’s really not that hard.

Carter totally sent that text to suck up to Kristen. What a loser. Probably worked too lol.

I never thought I'd feel bad for Kristen but I do. These "friends" are so codependent on each other. I remember having really interwoven friendships in my teens because boundaries were a thing we were still figuring out, but these people are in their late 20s/30s/40s. I understand being annoyed with Kristen because she's got a loser of an ex-bf she's having a messy break up with, but why do they have to be so purposely mean? If y'all weren't so involved in each other's business, you wouldn't let Kristen's misery become your company. I did enjoy Kristen calling Lala out on her "concerned" phone call. Shove that faux concern up your bare ass Lala (never mind, she'd like that too much).

WOW That was obnoxious. Pretending for a second that it wasn’t drama for the cameras: Who does that? “Hey, just calling to see ‘how you were’ as I’m celebrating the engagement of someone that, within recent memory, I hated with every fiber of my being! How does it feel to miss out on this party AGAIN? Wait, what? You doubt my sincerity? You are SO ANNOYING!”

James with his big blue puppy dog eyes sincerely apologizing to Katie. I just can not quit this guy. I love him and hope he's doing well. Katie was actually pretty decent accepting his apology. Good little scene all around.

Stassi and Beau are the most obnoxious try hards ever. That photo selfie they took with the devil faces or what ever they were posing was so child like. But that's Beau for you. They both think they are so hip and cool. Proposing in the cemetary. Just grow up, already.

I had TWO laugh-out-loud-couldn't-stop, rewind-a-dozen-times moments last night. The tease before commercial break about Schaena getting all predatory with Stassi's little brother. And Ariana's bat rebounding to hit her in the face and bloody her mouth. Priceless!!!

This episode was hard to watch.  I juxtapose these petty arguments with the real news today and all I can think of is these people need to grow up.  Friends ended when everybody moved on and I think VPR should follow this route.  The original cast has moved to suburbia (or wherever, don't know LA) and I don't think anybody likes the new cast.  Perhaps restarting this in LV might work.

I'm not a counselor but whatever Lala was using alcohol for, she hasn't managed her demons.  I can't even begin to understand the rationale for her phone call to Kristin.  Once again, grow up.

We must be getting close to the end of the season, I would like to see 50 minutes of the nonsense and then a discussion of what is being done to help the servers/cooks/bartenders at all of Lisa's establishments.  Is she continuing to pay them?  Are they doing carry-out only and how is the going?  What is happening in the real world?

There has been a fair amount of discussion about it on various subreddits. Lisa is not paying employees during this but said during an interview with Andy Cohen that the employees are collecting unemployment so I guess they were laid off.

Tom and Tom did a fundraiser by selling Cameos and donated $10k of their own money for a grand total of either $50k or $60k (I've seen both numbers referenced, not sure which it was) for TomTom employees.

Katie and Stassi talked about why they cut Kristen off in a podcast.

Apparently they got fed up with being there for her and then Kristen turning around and trashing their level of friendship.

The 3 of them sat down before season 7.  Kristen asked them to help her "organically" break up with Carter.  Once they started shooting however, Kristen did a 180 on the other two and then began trashing them as friends on the show.

Stassi says Katie and Schwartz are different in that they explode on each hard, but they dont drag it out forever nor does Katie "bring it to her front door".

Lisa and Ken paying them might have been less than what they can get from unemployment. Particularly with the extra $600 a week.

I could understand them being upset if they felt she told them one thing and then did another. However, I don't fault her for changing her mind either. I don't feel that she's trashed them, but I'm only half watching, so correct me if I'm wrong. I think Katie and Stassi are just mean to Kristen. Everyone needs to grow up though.

This sounds incredibly unhealthy to me. Don't try to justify insanity. I personally feel like they're bringing it to my front door by forcing me to watch their dysfunction for like 7 years straight (who lets their partner pour a drink on their head? That happened in the beginning.) No thank you.

It sounded to me like they came in with a plan for a storyline and then Kristen backed out without telling them.

I dont think she trashes them as much as she has made complaints about them over the last couple of seasons.

For me, it's a 2 way street.  They're not nice to her right now, but nothing they say or do makes her happy either.

Sometimes I think Kristen is one of those people who enjoy being unhappy.  Things are going great so she consciously or sub consciously, sabotages herself.  And they are sick of participating in it.

Alcohol. Schwartz and Katie would be much better off without the alcohol if they stay together.

Kristen never trashed them.  She keeps saying she is upset they are treating her cruelly, and excluding her - and they are!  There was no trashing.

I think they are looking for "reasons" because they look like assholes and they are taking heat on social media.  So, Kristen was going to break up with Carter and the situation got messy, and they think that is a good reason to cruelly bash her, call her a liar, EXCLUDE her from events?  That is not a justification for the way they treat her.

Katie and Schwartz drag everything out forever, they just had a fight on the ep two weeks ago.

They look even worse right now, they should just say, "yeah we were awful, didn't realize how awful we were until now, seeing it on tv."  They don't have to be friends with her, but they are cruel and after years of friendship, to drop someone like this ON TV, and not really care about her feelings is incredibly fucked up.

Again, I personally dont think she trashes as much as complains about them.  And she has tossed in complaints over the last 2 years.

I think it kind of mirrors the season in RHOOC, where Shannon would drunk call Kelly and Tamra in the middle of the night needing support.  You get tired of supporting year after year after year.  At what point are you enabling them being miserable vs. supporting them?

Maybe it CYA on social media, but Katie gets enough hatred and heat to this day for what happened with James.  Anything she posts, including promotion of the wine, gets met with post after post about "how horrible she is, you deserve worse, you are the worst, you're a blob, you're fat, you're ugly, I hate you" so what difference would it make to her at this point.  She's already hated.  Nothing is going to change that at this point.

I think deep down Beau thinks the way Stassi is treating Kristin is all kinds of wrong. He will keep his mouth shut now because he saw how she reacted at the wine thing and he is also the most pussy whipped human on the face of the planet. I want to see Beau in 5 years. He will be a mere shadow of himself if he's allowed to speak his mind at all.

Looking at the statute, if they did a fundraiser for their employees and gifted each of them $2,000 from the fundraiser, this should not impact their unemployment, as it is not earned monies from wages, per se and was not paid to them by TomTom.

Exactly. It’s disgusting and just plain cruel and unnecessary. If they want to cool down things with Kristen as a close friend, fine, but openly excluding her from their filmed life events is beyond mean and I don't understand why producers are allowing this to occur—-even the Real Housewives are forced to invite *every* housewife to major filmed events/vacations, so I don’t get it!

I mostly don’t get Beau’s pussy-whipped behavior; to allow his good friend who *introduced him* to his fiancée to be treated that way is just as upsetting to watch and perfectly illustrates his pathetic character. Some excuse of a friend he is!

Speaking of pathetic, LaLa rubbing salt into that wound by passive-aggressively calling up Kristen to “check on her”(more like to gloat) was especially mean. Officially can’t stand that opportunistic cum-guzzler.

Lord, what a season...I’m actually rooting for Kristen and Scheana and mostly hate everyone else, LVP included. And LVP looked like she was wearing fucking adult diapers in those jeans...yikes, I hope that wasn’t the result of an ill-advised butt implant...

I feel like the same could be said for Katie. The happiest I see her is when she’s putting someone else down and judging them. These people have more metaphorical glass on their houses than LVP’s actual house so they really should put their stones down.

I get being over a friendship, I’ve walked away from my share of them, I just don’t understand the unnecessary cruelty and shit-talking. They get some sick joy out of further contributing to Kristen’s misery and yet continue to complain about her.

It’d be hilarious if Kristen’s new boyfriend turns out to be better than any of the schmucks the other VPR gals are stuck with (plus he’s also supposedly loaded 💰), not that it’d be hard to surpass that bar.

I'm sure 50% of the shit talking about kristen is for tv purposes only.  As Stassi and Katie said on the podcast, if they don't have drama people are mad because it's boring but if they do have drama people are mad about them being mean.

I think Beau is like a normal guy where he just doesn't get all the drama and could really care less.  He's going to appease Stassi but also remain friends with Kristen on the down-low. watching the rerun last night before the new episode I totally forget that he did actually tell Stassi that she couldn't tell him who to not be friends with. But it's also very lame of Kristen to be all "oh well now you can't be friends with me because she says so?" I mean they're both just dragging him into drama that he probably cares less about.

And he was planning THAT proposal for MONTHS!?  I thought it would be a little more exciting than just sitting on a bench and finding a little urn.  I hope his friend was hiding somewhere to make sure that container stayed put until they got there.

Thanks for the info; I don't listen to the podcasts but the first rule of holes is when you're in one, quit digging.

So, they're on a reality TV show.   A REALITY SHOW.  They then confess to creating a story line for everyone to follow.   Kristin goes off script so that is why they are cutting her out of activities that could affect her salary.  So much for reality TV you idiots. Lordy, they are even stupider that I thought.

I know this was filmed before we have had almost 60 thousand people pass away from COVID-19.  It seems disrespectful for Beau to have used this as a backdrop for the proposal.   I'm sure Stassi doesn't give a shit but yeah each one of those graves represents someone who is no longer with us and I'm sure was very greatly missed by their families.  I'm bothered by it but sensitivity has never been their strongest suit.

To quote Fancy Pants from RHOC “If everyone tells you that you’re dead maybe you should lie down.”

Katie actually deserves all of the hate she gets because she spews hate nonstop whenever she opens her pie hole to talk. She is reprehensible and makes even a low life like Jax look better.
