Speaking of candy, WHAT is with Tiffany's kid's obsession with eating "new candies" in South Africa?   This is the second episode where "new candies" has topped his list of reasons to move halfway around the world.

Jenny, I don't want you dressing in traditional Indian garments either.   I love Indian clothing, the beautiful designs, the rich colors, sarees, Lehenga, shalwar kameez ... Seeing them draped on a delusional, greasy-haired bag like you is just painful.

The Little Voice In Your Head wants to know why so many people ignore it (looking at you, Corey).

Jihoon and the Buffy fan (hey, she named her kid Drusilla) ... I want to know who's taking care of Bakki while Family Jihoon is on their American adventure.

If I were Jenny, I would get a few shalwars for everyday use, and a couple of sarees for special occasions.  And the fluffy bun she had her hair in was the most flattering look I’ve seen her in. But thankfully I’m not Jenny. I do love Indian food and clothing though.  The apartment was also nice.  Maybe these two fools could have a life together, but the cost to him would be huge.

I bet Deavans folks are praying this works out. Can you imagine that as a grandchild? And then the possibility of a second? OH NO

If they do move Drusilla will be a much more disciplined child. My best Friend in high school is Korean and they do not mess around, especially with the female children.

Jenny's objection to the clothing was that usually elderly women wear traditional garments. Young women often wear more casual clothing and clearly Jenny doesn't see herself as an elderly Auntie. She sees herself as youthful and hip.                                                            I don't think she looks particularly young for her age. She could do with a make-over. Her hair is awful: thin, stringy, greasy and too long. I like long hair on older women if the hair is nice, which Jenny's is not.

I can't believe Corey let's himself being treated that badly. Evelin is dismissive and contemptuous of him.

True to all of this^^^^!  Jenny, I would buy about three to five of those saris to wear!  I thought the black with orange one was beautiful, but I wear a dress every day to work (even on jeans Friday) so what do I know?

Deavon and Jihoon:  "Well we knocked boots for three weeks and then thought.....hmmm....maybe I am pregnant!"  YA THINK?

Corey seriously strikes me as the 12 year old kid back in the day that I kissed behind the neighbors's lilac bushes and then proceeded to show up at my door and write love notes every day for three months.  Except....we were 12.

Dusicilla needs to be told no every damn day, every hour, every fifteen minutes!

Deavon strikes me as the type I knew back in my club days in the mid 80's:  dark dair, heavy eyeliner, "Aren't I cool and hip?  I hooked up with a guy overseas....who knows what will happen??  Aren't I wacky?"

And please:  Stop stop STOP with the "Are you ready to meet Daddy?"  "Are you ready to meet Gramma and Grandpa?"  I have been married to my hubby for a year and a half and I made a joke to my older son about "Well you better thank Stepdaddy!" in a joking way and he was like, no, lol.  He calls him by his first name, thinks of him as my hubby more than stepdad and that is fine.  (I sometimes think they like him more than me, lolol!)

I am 54, so forgive me....what is a hot sheet motel?

It’s a cheap motel, that rents rooms for “short stays” generally just a few hours. Rooms might turn over 3/4 times in a day. Young guys who live at home would bring their girlfriends, older men bring their mistresses, some bring prostitutes. Lots of motels  are in the vicinity of the airports. Mom said there were times airline pilots and stewardesses were stuck due to weather or other delays and only needed a room for half a day. (Mom worked the reception desk at one for  a time ).

I guess the term “hot sheet” comes from the idea that the sheets are still warm from the previous occupants.

Guys. I am prepared to bet anyone here five dollars American that Evilyn is hiding behind a pillar at the airport, laughing her ass off. She'll spring out right as poor doleful Corey is starting to hump his luggage (probably filled with fripperies for Evilyn and her family) into the baggage hold. That Evilyn! Such a card!

Drusilla needs to be told no once in a while.  No one scolded her when she was walking on the table or countertop.  Don’t blame the kid if the parents are providing any discipline.

Deavan seems utterly nonplussed by the very fact of her child's existence, never mind that she has to actually, you know, bring her up. And her mother is just as bad. I'm a live and let live sort and was an easygoing mother (my son is an adult, has a job, an apartment, credit, a car, and has never done time, even though I never hit him), but I would have snapped that little girl back quick.

9 hours ago, TrininisaScorp said:

All. Of. This.   Those were BEAUTIFUL clothes, and she basically sneered at them.  Sumit isn't innocent either.  Why not get her some cute kurti tops and less elaborate shalwar kazeem to start?!  Why start her on the silk and chiffon saris and lenghas right away?!

Corey!  Homie!  Listen to the voice in your head. It is your instinct (and potentially the ENTIRE collective 90DF audience shouting), and it is telling you that this cold ass snake is going to ruin your life and you are just handing it to her.  She isn't even trying to be subtle!

Jihoon and Deavon are a right hot mess.  Man, Korean men can be fiiinnneee, and this is the dude we get?!  Ok, tv....give me more eye candy.  I'm so mean. Anyway, Deavon is super sketchy to me, and her incredulous "she's so wild" about Drucilla, like it is a mystical reason and she had no hand in that mess, told me everything I need to know about her. You are her MOTHER.  How about this?  I'll send my Caribbean Indian mother your way; she'll fix that shit QUICK.  Out of amusement, I also like that Jihoon knows all the English curse words.  LOL.  This whole thing is going to be a disaster. Like Olga and that asshole Steven...birth control is a wonderful modern invention (I know, I know...it isn't ever 100% effective, but do these ppl look like they really considered protection in their awkward alcohol and hotel romp?!)

Tiffany makes me sad.  She actually seems like a decent sort, but here she is handing life and that of her child's to Ron.  My immediate impressions of him are not good.  Even if I didn't know about the addiction (STILL IN REHAB) and the criminal record, something about him makes me uncomfortable.  I don't know if his eyes seem manic, or his energy feels dark or something, but I don't trust him to do right by Tiffany and the kid.  His mom's tearful "I believe in him" and the rehab dude's caution really drove home the precarious position he is in, and THAT is what Tiffany is hitching herself to.  Sigh.

Where is hot Qatar scammer dude?!

Indian clothes are beautiful and I would have been drooling in that shop. I would live in salwaar kameez if I could. Beautiful, practical and functional. I can see that Jenny wouldn't want to wear a sequin encrusted sari but there are lots of other choices. Jesus, I was a young woman in the 70's--we lived in kurta tops and block printed dresses from India.

My day care lady was an Indian woman from Trinidad. The kids at her day care often were at the local playground with the kids from another day care, whose kids were very unruly; their carers just stood there and let them run wild. One time a little hellion named George pushed my son down. Toy just muttered "there'd be none of that behavior in my day care!" as we looked daggers at them. She did not play. She never raised her voice but those kids knew what was what.

Tiffany makes me sad too. She seems like such a nice, kind person. I'm so worried this Ronald character is going to wreck her life, and her son's. That little boy is such a sweet and loving soul.

I think Deavan is pretty. Until she smiles, anyway. Thirsty as fuck. Clueless.

Drusilla is a pretty name, it was on my short list for a girl. What's wrong with it?

Just finished watching this episode!

Where do I begin????

Where do they find these people?  These poor children!  And birth control.  If the women aren't using it pack a few in your to of luggage!  Best investment!

I'm trying to figure out Ronald 's next addiction!  Porn, drugs or sex addiction?

I kind of like Tiffany and don't understand why she can't find a fellow over here.

Where to begin indeed.....I actually listen to what Tiffany keeps repeating.  She's really big on ensuring that her son calls this strange man daddy.  It sounds like it's more about her than her son.  Do you recall how she cut off her son's bio dad right after he was born?  She said that she told him that he had to be all in or nothing at all.  I wonder if that meant he had to take her as well and if not, he couldn't see the child.  That's unfair and manipulative. Her son has the right to see his bio dad.  I suspect she will do the same thing with this guy if he relapses.  She keeps saying, it's over, if he relapses.  Well, relapse is common with addictions. If she can't handle that, she's not ready to be married to an addict. AND, if he relapses, does she remove her son from the country, never to see his NEW daddy?  This woman has not thought this through.  She's VERY immature and is not putting her child first.

I can see that Corey likes to be humiliated and disparaged.  Some people get off on that kind of thing.  Enjoy yourself, Corey.

Deaven is so immature.  Just pitiful situation.  It might help her to move to Korea and learn some life skills.  She and her lover seem to lack a compass.

Jenny.....this is so sad.  She's in la la land.  Is there even one window in their apartment?  This would be like living in a closet to me.

I thought the same about Corey.   He doesn't look like an incel, so why can't he find a nice Mormon girl?  Did he even try?   If I were his parents, I would feel like a failure.   There's a disconnect somewhere in Corey's life that led him down this road.   My guess is it starts with them.

Shame on these women for dragging their children across the world to meet "daddy". It makes me sick.

Corey, turn around and get back on the next flight home before Evelin spends all of your $40,000 401K that you cashed in just to live happily ever after in Ecuador.

I may be alone here, but I think Jihoon is adorable.

Drucilla - oh man! Holy terror and her behavior isn’t going to impress his parents in any way.

Corey, you bumpkin, you’re breaking your parent’s hearts for the hideous 45 year old who obviously lied about her age. She’s pure evil and doesn’t give a rat’s ass.

Paul, still running like an upright alligator, I see.

Jenny, you’re a damn fool for poo pooing the beautiful saris. Please at least invest in several neck scarves and NEVER wear your hair in a topknot again.

You know how some people who own small dogs never bother to train them because it’s just easier to pick the dog up if it is misbehaving? And they think a small dog can’t possibly hurt anyone? Yeah, that’s probably what Deaven was thinking, except babies grow up. And untrained small dogs get meaner.

Deaven ain’t never going to put that toothpaste back in the tube. Drucilla’s future looks very bleak. No normal kid will want to play with her. No school will allow her oppositional behavior to disrupt the classroom, especially in Korea.

Daniel talks about eating new candy because his mother probably used new candy to bribe him there.

At least Ronald’s mom seems like sweetheart and is embracing the arrival of Natalie and her son.

Deavan cannot self discipline herself.   How can we think she can discipline another?  If one of my kids turned out like her, living with me with their demon spawn, that would be my worse nightmare.   I’d probably go on vacation and not come back.

Corey needs to just turn around and come home.   But he has to learn on his own.

So Jenny spent 6 months in India before but never rode in a rickshaw....  Sus.   Acts like she experiencing India for the first time. .....   Very Sus.

This part made me laugh out loud.  Deavon acts like Drucilla just magically landed in her life and she looks at her with wonder and awe, unaware that it is her JOB to discipline her.  Discipline means to teach, so teach your daughter how to behave.  Sadly I think it is too late for Drucilla because now Mom will be focusing on a newborn and her behaviors are going to amp up even more.

I am in total agreement that Tiffany's dad was an addict and that is driving her need to fix Ronald so damn bad, hauling her son across the planet and marrying a guy 8 days out of rehab.  "Ria and I have a stronger bond than most mother and daughter in laws" made me barf.  Bonding over a loser (sorry but Ronald rubs me the wrong way.)  Bonding over your fiance STEALING from your mother in law is nothing to brag about.  "I have 90 days to see if Ronald is a changed man."  He is not.  There, I spelled it out for you Tiffany.

I think the best thing about Cory and Evelin is there will be no unwanted pregnancy.  Evelin is NOT bearing Simpleton's spawn, that is for sure.

Paul running will never not be funny.

I don't get that Tiffany chick. If she needs the three months to decide whether to move permanently to South Africa, why the bloody hell is she getting married in a week? I don't get it. I also hate, hate, hate that she has Daniel calling that man Daddy. That is wrong on so many levels. She has raised such an endearing child. Why would she set him up like that with someone on whom she's not entirely sure she can rely.

I think Daniel's fascination with the candy is funny. He probably has had some sweets from whatever country of origin his family is from, so naturally wonders what's in the stores there. And even if he hasn't, what kid wouldn't look forward to that?

There are no words to describe the idiot Corey. He deserves whatever he gets.

Jenny is ridiculous and needs to take a good look in the mirror. You are an auntie, you silly cow. She should have traveled with some dry shampoo in her carry-on so that she could have done something with that frightful hair before greeting Summit at the airport. I'm really wondering what's up with that dude and why he wants her. She isn't in the least bit interesting. How does she plan to spend her time when he's at work? She spent several weeks there before. Did she make any friends?

Paul is up a creek without a paddle or pole. I feel sorry for Karine and their baby.

Bruh.  I'm Trinidadian (hence the username) of Indian descent, and even though I'm a grown ass woman in my 30s who is married, has a career, and owns a home, I still flinch at the thought that I've made mom mad.  She's tiny and cute, but just a look, and I'm 7 yrs old again.  I knew better than to embarrass her in public and act a fool.  No. Nope.  Eh eh.  Drucilla wouldn't make it a second without straightening up in Madre de Trininisa's casa.

Okay this whole Corey landing at the airport bothered me.  From his reaction, "Are you upstairs?  Are you down here?" leads me to believe he was expecting her to pick him up and there were plans to do so.   I looked up the airport he landed at and the distance to Engabao and it is 111km or 69 miles and Mapquest estimated it at 1 hour and 46 minutes.  She belittles him "You are big man"  and "This is not rocket science" and does not seem to care that he could get robbed or killed.  In fact I am willing to wager that she was hoping he would get killed so he won't be clinging to her anymore.  In the previews for next week he asks about bug repellent and she says "Your bad energy is repellent enough" and the ever handy "Why don't you get on an airplane and go home?" which I am sure she will WILLINGLY drive him to the airport on that trip, no bus or taxi needed.  She looks at him with disdain and it is so uncomfortable and that is leaving out the part where she has bled him dry.  That just makes it......ouch.  But he is a grown ass man who has choices, he keeps making really bad ones.

I am going to do some real work, now, lol!!

I think she wants someone else to “take care” of Ronald and a wife who’s indebted to her might just do that. She might also be desperate for a bigger extended family for herself, and a daughter in law, and step grandson fills that void. Once Tiffany has a bio child with Ronald (which we know will happen), she will likely stick around.

My guess  is that the mom tried the no-distractions-concentrate-on-sobriety-no-added-pressure thing before and Ronald relapsed. Maybe she did that more than once and he failed every time. She’s willing to try something different.   I think she’s more desperate than she appears on television. I’m sure she’s pretty sick of sleeping with her purse and jewelry underneath her pillow every night.

I also agree with Scarlett45 that she is ready for somebody else to take on the burden of her broken son and take care of him.

Drusilla is too close sounding to "Druzilla" for me, Druzilla being one of Cinderella's evil stepsisters. So, just no. Also, I'm in the minority but I don't think Tiffany is attractive. Sorry. And I'll bet anything she will be pregnant in 3....2....1...… Gotta get that anchor baby to increase Ron's chances of getting to the US

I believe one of the evil stepsisters was named Drusilla in the Disney animated Cinderella story from back in the day.   That’s the only other place I’ve heard that name.

I know it from Y&R.  There was a character named Drusilla.

What's wrong with having a difference of opinion, and not liking the name?

You didn't ask me in particular, but I don't think there's anything wrong with having a difference of opinion.  In this case, the name's context is everything for me because after seeing Drucilla on the show, I have an image of the similar sounding Godzilla.  I feel terrible for little Drucilla, though, because she's rapidly approaching the day when she's no longer small enough or cute enough for others to endure her feral behavior.

oh no. Oh No. OH NO!  I cannot do bratty ass kids.  Oh hell no.  And that did not happen overnight.  That has been years of unconcerned parenting.

I could feel my blood pressure ready to explode watching that bad ass kid on my screen.

I just know that Devan is one of those women who lets her kid run absolutely wild in any and all public settings and laughs as her kid goes on a path of destruction and insists "oh, well, she is just wild, what can I do?". And will absolutely cop an attitude at anyone who suggests she maybe discipline her child.

I wonder how many guys she tried to raw dog so she could pawn her baby on them.  Jihoon was probably the one fool dumb enough not to use protection.  Ha ha, worst lottery win ever!

And you get stuck with her child....good luck with the rest of your life friend!

She has way surpassed that timeline for me.  Also why does she always look dirty.  FFS, do better Devan.

When you allow a mate to treat you shabbily, it says as much about you as is does them.  I'm not sure what he's getting out of it, but, ,Corey must like it.  I mean, Evelyn is the best woman in the world for him, right? lol  Well, that's what he said.

She is looking more emaciated and skeletal than ever.  She has a crypt keeper face.

In her defense I guess?  She could not be any more clear about her lack of interest.  If Corey had the brain be thinks he has he would have booked a flight back the next day.

Not picking someone up from the airport is Courtney/Antonio levels of disinterest.

I can't wait for next week:  Paul running (which, as many poster pointed out, is ALWAYS hilarious), and Nicole blowing up Pedro's spot.

They showed that preview and I could have died laughing.  He was like "I gotta get outta here!" and he ran away.  I was dying.  Oh boy!

I was sincerely annoyed at the obvious interrogation of "what are you gonna do when you see him.?!?!!" in a tone that obviously let's the kid know he better lose his damn mind the minute he sees this guy.

But of course...Tiffany pushed none od this and Daniel is just naturally excited to meet new daddy.

I think that Jenny is afraid those garments will make her look old......lol.

Deavan and her daughter would probably benefit from moving to Korea and being around Jihoon's family.  She might not be open to what they could offer her though.   It seems that it would be a step up for her, but, a few steps down for them.

Her reaction at "not wanting to be an old lady" as she dates a man 30 years her Junior and is two years from social security was rich.  Especially think I find saris beautiful.  I've never seen someone who didn't look better wearing one.

It would be the one thing I think I'd like about living in India.  I could pretend I was in a Bollywood movie.

Now that I'm done laughing, I assure you Jihoon's parents are going to hire an investigator and find out. They're not going to let this woman corner their man-child. He's their hope for a comfortable old age, and Deavan is not going to mess it up.

I wonder if he is their only child?

I hope that they have other irons in the fire for their sake.

I was going to say it would be pretty evident but she likes Asian dudes so maybe not.  Good luck Jihoon.  Maybe wrap it up next time?

What's the over under on her promising that she was on birth control so the condom wasn't necessary.

Seriously Corey?  She made your dumb ass stop at an ATM in the middle of the night, but she can’t come get you?  Why would he do this to himself?

Jenny should be happy he didn’t try to put her in a turtleneck sari...they were all really pretty.  The dark lipstick is doing her no favors.

Deavon and Jihoon...it’s all already been said. BUT STILL...knocked up after the first visit?  We’ve read the script and this is going to end badly.

That lipstick was just drawn on funny with the exaggerates bow lip.

But she’s an online influencer!

Her uncle taking her sexy catfish pregnant photo was mildly disturbing. I’m thinking he’s her photog on the reg.  Yeah, that’s icky.

LOL, filters are the new catfishing.

You think Jihoon is fug?  I don't think he's that bad looking.   With enough alcohol and some filters he kind of looks like a K popper LOL

I think he is reasonable looking.  He is no aladin, but he would do.  Those teeth aren't the business though.
