Denise Richards is on The Talk today. Eloise is now calling Aaron dad. 🙂

Denise seems to gravitate to whack-a-doos.  Aaron is just another breed - although a million times better than Charlie Sheen.

So does Denise let her kids stay with disgusting Charlie? Because everything I read disturbs me and they probably shouldn’t be around him.

Aaron is a user too. His wacky treatments got him into rich women’s homes until he got one to marry him.

Denise seems to gravitate to confident men. Both Charley Sheen seem very confident if misguided and uninformed.

Plus she is a fan of fake science. She went from Tigers blood to Electromagnetic wave therapy. Look it is a lot better than the worship of plastic surgery that most women in Hollywood aspire to in their spiritual lives. A few shots of light are quite benign compared to injecting poison into your face.

Charlie had been sober for five years when they met and he had not yet been fully possessed by his demons. He had issues and behaviors but it was middle weight stuff in comparison to what was coming.

He has a progressive disease that takes up where you left off when you relapse. Who he was when they split five years into their relationship (after two years of his shenanigans)  was very far removed from who he was when they met. His disease has continued to progress for almost all of the 15 years since their divorce in 2005 because he has achieved only very short bursts of sobriety.

Denise is between a rock and a hard place because of court-ordered visitation. Luckily, he doesn't exercise it very often and yet that must feel like abandonment. She doesn't bad-mouth him to her daughters because #1 it's not fair to them and #2 she tries to minimize the probability of lasting daddy-daughter issues as much as possible. She says she knows that girls who feel abandoned often make self-destructive decisions for their entire lives.

She has to discuss things with her daughters that should never come up - things that her mother never discussed with her, things that her sister doesn't discuss with her kids - because she has to head off and provide a loving but also realistic interpretation of whatever the latest asshole-ery is that her girls will likely hear about or be taunted about.

One situation (among many) that she mentioned in her book was especially sad. Her girls loved the Eloise books when they were littles and in 2010 she booked the Eloise Suite with an adjoining parent suite at the Plaza Hotel in New York. The nanny came along because Denise was doing a press junket for a TV role. Charlie invited himself when she told him about their trip, and provided a private jet and booked a suite across the hall.

While they were having dinner the second night she realized it was their first family vacation and also their first restaurant meal as a family, ever, and the girls were 5 and 6 years old. They ate meals at his house or he came to their house for meals but they'd never all been in a restaurant together before. Then they saw Mary Poppins on Broadway. Normal, right?

During the last night of their stay Charlie invited her to dinner and the nanny stayed with the girls. Denise was shown to a private room in a restaurant where Charlie was sitting with three friends and what she soon realized were four prostitutes. They ended up discussing the ins and outs of "the business" and she made herself have an OK time even though she resented the scene behind Charlie's invitation. Why even invite her? What was the point?

She went back to her hotel, made sure the girls were in bed and was asleep for about an hour when she heard lots of voices, and walkie-talkies, in the hallway. Not a good sign. She opened her door and saw many of New York's finest, in uniforms and suits. The working girl she met at dinner had called 911 from the locked bathroom saying she was in danger. Charlie was drunk, naked, in a rage and had trashed his suite. The Plaza didn't press charges and he wasn't arrested but was taken to a hospital.

With all the questioning and situating Denise got only that one hour of sleep before fulfilling her interviews that were starting in a couple hours and Howard Stern was first. With Charlie's name and face all over the news. Luckily that was the last day of the junket and she sneaked out of town and back to SoCal, to charge her batteries for dealing with another round of Charlie fallout after daring to let herself think "How nice, a family vacation. We're finally in a good place."

I'm fairly confident that she can handle her some HWs but I keep wondering what's taking so long. I wish she would tell Aaron to stuff a sock in it and give those smug hags both barrels for 10 minutes, or however long it will take. I keep waiting for her to blow because, in addition to being circular, their bullshit is entirely petty. If she blows they will rue the day they started with her. Team Denise.

Denise is quite obviously holding back. She would cut them a new asshole and I think she will later in the season.

Whenever there is an issue I always tell people (salesmen or repairmen) that they should resolve it with me because you really don’t want my wife to get involved. They are way better off with the inarticulate Aaron than Denise on the warpath.

I can’t wait. These ladies are going to take a licking.

So to speak.

There were a couple versions of that situation and one alleges rape.

I read that a third party, another actor/not Feldman, said Haim told him that he/Haim and Charlie smoked a joint and then had consensual sex. This was when they were 13 and 19 and making a movie. Haim thought they were embarking on some kind of relationship but when it was over Charlie turned as cold as ice and remained that way. Haim was devastated.

In light of Charlie's ensuing reputation as a user of people and abuser of substances, I don't doubt it.

I won’t comment on whether sex occurred between Sheen and Haim, but to be clear, if it did it was not consensual.  Would Sheen having sex with a 13 y/o girl be called consensual?

I know very little about how these HWs were raised except for the Richards sisters, who fancy themselves Hollywood royalty - which is a bit of a stretch IMO. I want to share a little bit of Denise's background. Her family of four lived in a 2-bedroom, 900 square foot home for most of her childhood. At one point her dad, who worked for the phone company, added on to make it 1200 square feet - doing all of the work himself.

Later on her parents bought a ramshackle 100-year-old house, the worst on the block, and both parents put in long hours renovating it during evenings and weekends. They lived in those two homes in Illinois before moving to Oceanside, near San Diego, in time for Denise and her sister to attend high school there. When she was a kid she was the only girl on her baseball teams for many years. Tent-camping was their favorite family activity and the girls were overjoyed if rain drove them to a motel for the night. Motel, not hotel. They also enjoyed activities with a Daddy and Daughter organization.

Here is an excerpt from the first pages of her 2011 book called The Real Girl Next Door which explains a lot about who she is. The book is very good, I highly recommend it.

Quote

The way I was raised is a major reason why I've taken such offense to the slams I've received in the media from people who've never met me. I grew up in a nonjudgmental home. I remember being out with my mom when I was a little girl and pointing to a kid with grungy clothes and holes in his shoes, one of those "eww, look at that" moments, and my mom quickly shushed me, explaining that you don't make fun or pass judgment on other people. His family might not be able to afford new clothes and shoes, she said. There might've been other circumstances, too. I understood and learned a lesson that's stayed with me forever. Even though we didn't have much money, I immediately felt bad and wanted to help.

I learned at an early age that it doesn't matter what people look like or what their shortcomings may be, or how much or little money they have. I was raised to treat someone how I would like to be treated. I needed few reminders, thanks to my relatives. I had a cousin who was deaf, one who was developmentally disabled, one who was gay, an uncle who lost his left leg, a grandpa who had a hook in lieu of a hand, a second cousin on my dad's side who went through a sex change and became a woman, an aunt who committed suicide, an uncle who was a recovering drug addict, and a grandma whose best friends were twin dwarfs.

This grandmother of mine ran a tavern in Wisconsin. We went there numerous times every summer. It was an eight-hour drive from where we lived in Illinois. Her place, called Lehmann's Pub, was next to a lake where we fished and caught bullfrogs. In the afternoon and at night, we darted in and out of the bar, which shared a kitchen with the house. We got to serve draft beer, which we loved, to see who could get the least foam. Imagine not even being a teenager and pouring beer? We were allowed one candy bar from the counter a day. My cousins used to stay there with us, too. With all the alcohol and cigarettes at the pub it's amazing none of us ever dabbled in all that, but we didn't. The dwarf twins - about eighty years old - were regulars. They were sweet, adorable men who also had a dwarf sister. I loved talking to them, they were so nice to my sister and me. My mom had known them when she was a little girl and one time I asked if they'd always been that way. "No, they used to be younger," she said.

Wow, I'm speechless. Thank you all for posting. This puts Denise in a whole new light for me. So Lisa Rinna, knowing all this, didn't have her friend's back? Just wow. No wonder Denise looked so hurt. Aaron better continue being good to her & the kids which I must admit he's done so far...

Glanville fanned the flames in recent weeks by sharing what appears to be a liplocked photo with Richards and leaving suggestive comments on Richards’s Instagram.

^^From the article on Denise - sounds like Brandi is still feeling guilty about being "made into a cheater" 🙄

The photo didn't show a liplock, it was a typical air kiss and those do not land on anyone's lips. Next to lips or near lips, yes, but not on lips.

After hearing the hype and frenzy and then seeing it my reaction was "That's all you got?"

I bet I could find a similar photo with Kyle and PK and call it a liplock.

Brandi pored over photos searchng for one that came closest to fitting her agenda. Oooh and it was grainy, to add "atmosphere." LOL

You could probably find a similar photo of any of the ladies from past seasons - another thing I don't miss about LVP is that now the she's gone, there seems to be no reason for the rest of them to endlessly "double air kiss" every single time they see each other!

I miss hugging people, but I've never been kissy. I wonder if some of that will stop post pandemic, whenever that may be.

I’m hoping we can finally give up the handshake for good after this. It always grosses me out to be at a business event where dozens of people shake your hand as you go in to dinner. ICK! There isn’t always a bathroom close by - and if you say that handshaking isn’t your thing, people take it the wrong way. Prior to the pandemic, I’d keep wipes in my purse to use before the meal was served but always wished we didn’t have that germy ritual!

This is puppygate all over again. Why? Because these bitches just don't have anything interesting going on in their lives so they and their producers manufacture drama to keep this shitshow gravy train from running off its tracks, though it already has long ago IMO. With LVP, the show's grand doyen and Greek chorus, gone, there's no there there anymore. It's just Vile Kyle alternating between gleefully watching others take a hit and/or harping over some perceived slight from Denise OR bugging out and/or crying because someone told her what a slag bitch she really is. Hey Kyle, if you're reading here, you're a dumpy, ill clothed little troll with a sense of self-worth that is entirely over-inflated and unwarranted. In a nutshell, you suck as a human being and there's a reason your husband is stoned out of his mind all the time. It's an escape from YOU.

Rinna? She's just transparent as glad wrap. She does everything motivated by the almighty dollar, even her own daughter's welfare takes a second seat to her famewhore work. So yeah, not surprised she's harping on Denise for like, nothing worth even mentioning.

The rest of these bitches are useless and this whole franchise is just a pile of burning stank shit now. It's only worth saving if they fire them all (they can keep Denise and Garcelle) and revamp on the ORIGINAL PREMISE - show us house/jewelry/clothing porn and a few charity events and call it a day. Because that's what the show was about, when it was worth watching.

The "Washington Post" featured Denise in a lengthy interview published July 25. She says no affair with Brandi, she and Charlie are in a good place, Aaron and Charlie get along, and she'll return to Housewives if it makes sense. She's eyeing property in Montana. I don't know if everyone can access the link, but here it is:

Yeah, it was also in the preview of next week. I think the reactions were edited to point the finger at Rinna, can't exactly remember now. Bring. It.

Quote from the July 22 episode: "I went and I wanted to get my own room, but Denise was like 'No, just stay here. It's fine. I'll get you a rollaway bed,'" Brandi said in a confessional, telling Kyle and Teddi that Denise's daughter and a friend were also staying with them.

"That first night the girls were sleeping in a room downstairs and Denise had a room upstairs, and there was no rollaway bed, conveniently. So, I just slept in bed with Denise," Brandi told the camera.

Sunday, July 26 tweets, four days after the episode. She says the screenshot below proves that she wanted her own room but was coerced into staying with Denise:

I can sleep on your couch if that's cool with you? My producer is paying my flight and rental car. We will have fun. Excited! Heading to my therapist 😞 I will let you know when everything is booked

OK sounds good I'll have them bring a bed in it's a big room

"I can sleep on your couch if that's cool with you (question mark)" She wasn't agreeing to a suggestion, she was inviting herself. Obviously her broke ass was relying on her producer and Denise to pay for the getaway weekend. It sounds like "when everything is booked" = flight and rental car.

Listen to my podcast from Friday & you’ll know why Denise asked me to specifically say I was staying at the hotel across the way when I wasn’t! it’s because her daughter had a friend with her & she didn’t want the parents of the friend to know that I was staying in the room!!

Also you will hear the uncut version on housewives which proves that I stayed with Denise we didn’t know we were recording but we were 💕 Be Patient all will be revealed

"we didn't know we were recording but we were" I think most of us think audio when we hear the word recorded and video when we hear the word filmed. And who is "we" ? She and who else didn't know they were "recording"?

Aaaand if the part about "the parents of the friend" is true (which it likely is) she took great pleasure in throwing Denise further under the bus, hoping to fuck up a relationship that has absolutely nothing to do with the show. She never misses an opportunity to hurt or harm.

Brandis stupid texts prove nothing. She’s so desperate it’s pathetic. Kyle acting like Brandi is some truth teller makes me laugh. She hated Brandi and has said Brandi makes shit up, but now Brandi has never told a lie basically lol.

Rinna is garbage. Let’s get her secrets out. She flips at the mere mention of anything about her or her family but she thinks Denise should just own it. Fuck of Rinna.

Also I just have to say again if Denise did hook up with Brandi why is it anyone’s business. If I learned something like that I might gossip about it in private lol but I wouldn’t interrogate the person on vacation it’s so weird.

Also again like always Teddi fucking sucks lol.

All this, but .... I lean toward the idea that Brandi and Denise did hook up. Perhaps not in a pre-planned sort of way, though.   There is a screen shot of a text where Denise says she's order a cot "it's a big room".  That is the opposite of sending a message that she wants to sleep with Brandi.

The thing about Denise is that she has to be open and honest.  She's not manipulative enough to successfully manage a web of lies (unlike Lisa Vanderpump who spread them like butter).  She should own her actions and move on.  Without transparency, she will never be in the driver's seat of her own life - either on the show or off the show.

File the whole incident under "NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED" (Had Denise just denied Brandi's request and told her, no,  she couldn't stay with her and instead suggested to "get a job" so she could afford her own hotel room, she wouldn't be in this pickle today.)

Wasn't it Brandi who couldn't afford to pay for her own hotel room who asked asked if she could sleep on Denise's couch?  And Denise, a kind soul, agreed to help out Brandi and her broke ass?

So, depending on how people see it,  Brandi repays her kindness  by betraying a confidence or Brandi uses Denise's kindness and generosity as the entree to her set up. Either way, Glanville is a despicable bitch.

Agree with this as well. Younger women and/or women without a lot of relationship experience are usually the ones who fall for lines like the one Denise allegedly gave Brandi. Brandi was around 46 at the time, has been married and cheated on, and has dated a lot. She's not some naive young girl who should have fallen for what Denise said, if Denise did in fact say Aaron wouldn't care if she hooked up with girls. Brandi's also so anti-affair to the point she's been extremely nasty and judgmental toward people who don't have her self-proclaimed high moral standing.

THIS!!! If Brandi was so anti-affair, don’t hook up with a married person regardless of what they say! Don’t we all know that? Brandi is an attention whore betraying Denise’s kindness in doing her a favor for her podcast and letting her stay with her when she didn’t even know her that well. Ugh, I never even disliked Brandi or particularly liked Denise and I liked Kyle and did not think highly of Dorit and I loved Erika. Ugh, I’m so annoyed. I preferred seeing some good in all of them. I saw Rinna’s nasty a season or two ago and Teddi being such a follower with puppy-gate, so that is not new.

Exactly! Haven't we all either experienced or heard the stories of people who pretend they're practically divorced when they're very much married? Or that their spouses wouldn't mind this or that? Keep your legs closed to married men AND WOMEN.

Yeah I wish Denise never let Brandi stay over to save $. Kyle doesn't have Brandi's trashiness, but there is mean girl in her. I don't think Erika is out to get anyone, but she can be cold. I also agree with you about Dorit. I'd rather have a friend constantly glamming and running late but have a heart and be kind once she finally shows up. lol

I had a soft spot for Rinna because I grew up watching her but have been disappointed with her treatment of Denise. I also thought Teddi was a kinder person than she turned out to be.

I’m with you on pretty much everything  except that Dorit has a kind soul. After a couple of seasons of grief from both fans and cast, she chose to side against her old, off camera friend Lisa in an attempt to fit in. I guess there’s an argument to be made that she had to do it if she wanted to stay on the show and to get the fans off her back, but it’s not one that I would make. Dorit has really disappointed me.

Plus, Nicolette Sheridan & Aaron were neighbors of Denise at one point & many say Denise & Aaron began hooking up before he divorced Nicolette. Other than adopting Eloise & seemingly being a good mother, I think Denise F$cking Richards is a trashy, cheating, lying liar who lies...

I don’t remember Denise’s expression while Teddi spoke about the surgery but keep in mind that reaction shots, whether at the reunion or during the regular season, are sometimes edited in from earlier or later footage and are not always a reaction to what it looks to be a reaction to. They take things from earlier and later filming and splice them in to make it look like a housewife had a certain reaction when they were really listening to/reacting to something completely different. I always keep this in mind even with housewives I strongly dislike. If the person or event they’re reacting to is not in the same shot I always wonder if that’s their real reaction or if it was edited in.

People on here seem to be all team Denise. I have thought Denise was much more of a gentle person,  She spend years building up that Goody 2 shoes image. I liked her better when she was. I used to wonder how she could ever marry Charlie Sheen, but watching her this year I can see it.   And if she is into more of the kinky stuff or the female stuff, I imagine while Sheen was bedding one of the hookers in 1 Room she was bedding 1 in another!

Also she is no fragile flower. If anybody watched her order that lunk around she calls a husband, they would agree. "Get up! Let's go!"  I fully expected to hear her say, "stay" and "sit."  And he is beyond stupid, and he can't even explain his "business," but the celebrities "buy" it.  Is explanation was beyond circuetous and ridiculous. It began to sound like he was giving happy endings.

I just like Denise better last year. As for Brandi, Brandi was Brandi.  And I kind of like Brandi.  I think she's blunt and honest and I don't think the others know how to deal with that. Lol

I find Sutton boring but with money. Garcelle seems to be very catty behind the scenes.  I really do not understand why Lisa Renna and so many others had to have the answer as to whether Denise slept with Brandi.  Everybody's private life or sex life is their own. If they want to broadcast that they can, but if they don't they don't have to. I thought I was in the movie, Frozen:

LET IT GOOOOOO!

It has been mentioned in a few posts that Denise stepped in and parented Charlie and Brooke's young twins when the need arose. The details are horrendous and it's not a stretch to say that very few people would have kept those little boys as long as she did. I will always give her credit for stepping up and making a prolonged effort because it speaks to the kind of person she is.

She wrote an 8-page letter to the judge overseeing the case when she realized the seriousness of the issues and decided to relinquish guardianship. I won't post the link to the letter but you can find if if you're interested.  One of the problems was intentional and frequent cruelty to animals.

I won't say more than that about what they did because they are minors, but their behaviors screamed severe abuse and trauma.

re Charlie (who had four years of sobriety when they met) she has often said "That is not the man I married, that is the man I divorced."

I agree that was very kind and considerate for Denise to take those kids in.  They were obviously in desperate need. You really have to give her credit.
