I didn't expect Joy to ask a hard question to BS, but thank you for voicing what a lot of Democrats believe at least (that BS dragging the primary on long after he'd already lost helped put Trump in the White House and he's about to do it again). I know she's a fan of BS, so I had resigned myself to her throwing softballs. Apparently Sunny had planned to ask that question herself. That's why I'm glad Sunny is on this show.

LOL at McCain's palpable rage that other Democrats would DARE ask advice of Hillary Clinton. Absolutely Hillary should NOT be treated with respect the same as all her male predecessors--she should be dragged through the streets while Meh-gun rings a bell and screams, "Shame! Shame! Shame!" off her blue cards, for daring to be a woman running for president. A strong case of HRC Derangement Syndrome in this one. Somebody send McCain more bitch pills, for all our sakes.

She'll never be able to understand it until HER HUSBAND suffers the same fate.   He suggests they make a large donation to something HE is passionate about it.  They attend the gala and he looks through every donation page of the program looking for HIS name.  He doesn't find it, but he does spot a similar donation from Meghan McCain and husband.   OOPS!

Even that wouldn’t click I think.  Maybe if Meghan ponied out the money and the acknowledgement was to Ben “and wife”.

Maybe the intro segment on The View could be changed. All the hosts get introduced,  until it come to Meghan walking out, and she is introduced as "Ben Domenech's wife."

Meghan wouldn't mind be called Mrs Domench because everyone already knows her as Meghan McCain. As mentioned earlier the story was about Tabitha King not even being acknowledged as her own person.

Ana's not there today since she is getting married tomorrow!

Thanks! Still sad about her friend though. I'm sure it'll be bitter sweet for her, walking down the aisle with those earrings on...

Re: Bernie Sanders, it's funny - for all her whining and crying about socialism, you'd think Meghan would ask some questions to better understand what it is instead of asking about Hillary Clinton.

I'm sorry, did you miss the memo?  Meghan is a "highly educated person"  who understands socialism quite well.

Meghan's "hair genius" hairdresser is at it again today!!

I actually thought it could have been a cute style with different clothes. If Meghan had worn something cute and fun and retro, it might have worked. I'm thinking a black jumpsuit would be perfect with that hair.

But the fussy floral dress with a collar up to her chin... nope. She looked like a 1940s schoolmarm.

She looks beautiful .  Hope her day is wonderful. Pancreatic Cancer is a son of a bitch.  I thought Joy did a good job with Bernie but there is so much I don’t know despite DVRing 10 news show a day.

Oh and Megan ? Eat shit. She has nerve talking about him being a tough boss or sexual assault when GOP is full of sexual scandals and criminals.

The bobsie twins probably have their own meeting before arriving at the mercy of the makeup and stylists every day.

Today, I thought Meghan actually looked good. Hair up, but not tight braids. Volume - a throw-back to an older, classier style. From the side, it looked really beautiful. Also, I thought her outfit was flattering. 1940s schoolmarm, yes - but I really liked the look on her.

I agree she did look really nice. I like black heels but she pulled the whole thing off today.

Oh, I dunno.  I think the producers love all the attention she gets in the media.  I see headlines every day about something Meghan said.  She brings in the ratings.  I doubt her job is on the line.

If she keeps up the antics of the infanticide/YELLING over other hosts as they are trying to give THEIR views or actual facts some longtime viewers like me WILL walk.  I got no time for that bullshit and she, at times, ruins the show.

OMG...am I going to try to explain something in Meghan's favor?   I think she was interrupted and didn't get her point across.  She was trying to compare a male's "tough behavior" with a female's...when often the male's is considered a positive and the female's a negative.  The wording about "sexual assault harassment" by Abby was stumbling.

Did Megsly just say Stand by Your Man was done by Patsy Cline?  Even I know it was Tammy Wynette’s song and I hate country music!

She also said that June Carter was a star before Johnny Cash was.  June Carter was a performer with her mother and her sisters.  She was the little "goofball" who would create all their "comedy" antics. I saw June Carter and Johnny Cash in Phoenix ('60? '61") while they thought their affair was a secret.  He was the star of the show and she was lower on the bill, although she did do a couple of numbers with him.  Those of us in the front row of Riverside Ballroom (all girls) were mad at her.  He was married with four kids and she was slobbering all over him.  She chased him until she got him('66-ish)--but she was not a star until they were together.  ETA:  The Carter Family is legendary in country music.

Yeah June was no saint. She chased Johnny and even told his wife that he would be hers. She also may have had her own pill problem too. They glossed over all that in the movie. Showed the affair but didn't show how terrible June was to Johnny's wife.

Abby, our intrepid girl reporter journalist treds where no woman dares to go, she interviewed The Ivanka.  Ivanka stated, "Anonymous 'leaks' about there being issues," regarding her husband's security clearance (and hers) were simply untrue.  "Leaks" is an odd term to use for something that's a lie.  Maybe "Various anonymous sources are simply lying."  Often the leaks have been believed.

Abby is so happy to be vindicated--to be the first with the gumption, journalistic power and experience to "get" Ivanka on this heavy topic.

Meanwhile, her bestie, Meghan, thinks Abby could be kadooz'd™ for this coup...but reminds us once again that she (Meghan) is not "a journalist."   That, ladies and gents, proves that Abby IS one!

And casting helped the sainthood of June Carter.  Reese Witherspoon couldn't carry off the real persona.  I don't know who could have...Glenn Close, I'd bet, but she was too old for that part at that time.

She was asking Bernie about the word out there being he’s hard to work for. she never misses  an opportunity to say that a women’s bitchiness was same behavior by a man would be considered strong. ( excuse for her outrageous behavior);  Maybe my brain shut down. I did not get the impression that she was being understanding. Of course they both brought up negative things about him and his campaign, I felt in their attempt to put him on the spot.

I would watch it again but I don’t wanna. I said one nice thing about her today don’t make me increase that. If that’s what her intention was then she was bringing it back to herself being the kick ass and take names tough chick she is

Abby did not really pin Ivanka down , does everyone think ivanka would say yeah I’m worried about the president and his shady dealings ?

As usual, Meghan chooses to misunderstand a story and make it about herself.

The issue about Tabitha King was NOT about "supporting her husband's career."  The couple made a large donation to an organization that Tabitha was passionate about.  The New England historic Genealogy society, put out a statement thanking "Stephen King and wife". Tbat is not right.

To compare it June Carter cash supporting her husband's  career is ludicrous.

Not to mention that June's mother and aunt--Maybelle and Sara Carter--were not only women performing and going on the road in a time that it was unheard of for women to even work outside of the house (the late 20's/30's), not only were they women from rural southwestern Virginia who were leaving their isolated mountain communities/homes to perform and go on the road, they more or less played the biggest role in introducing the world to mainstream country music as we know it today. That entire family--June included--are part of the very foundation of that genre, and symbolize the roots of the commercial success of country music. If anything, Johnny Cash was playing second fiddle to THEM. For Meghan to suggest that June was nothing more than a support system for her husband (I didn't see it, but it sure sounds like that), flies in the face of her own career and that of her family (and doesn't Meghan take family dynasties VERY seriously? SNERK). I mean, she's not the only one by any means to ignore June's place in country music over her husband's (sadly), and June was proud to support him, too, but UGH.

SHE DID NOT. I would beat that bitch. Look at my avatar and you'll see why. (I'm a Tammy Wynette stan for LIFE.)

(In all seriousness, though, I resisted country music for the longest time, but started to dig into its history around 2015 and fell in love with it; it all depends on what you find, I guess. Not to pressure you of course, but I post a lot in the country thread under the music forum if you're interested in checking it out.)

Damn. I'll bet I've been listening to country music for a MUCH shorter time than Meghan has, but I would probably wipe the floor with her on country trivia. Does she know anything about Lorrie Morgan, for example? I wish SO MUCH I could find out now!

Meghan, in particular, should know that because of Hillary Clinton's famous comment about not standing by her man like Tammy Wynette.

The best part of that story is that after Hillary apologized to Tammy, she offered her the chance to sing at a fundraiser for her husband's campaign, which Tammy agreed to.

Meghan's head would probably explode if she knew that. (My mistake--THAT would be the best part of that story!)

Nope, MM doesn't have a clue about country/folk/proud hillbilly/Mountain music. Or much else.

I listen to country music and all the above genres, off and on, for 55 some years now.  Watched HeeHaw, Jimmy Dean Show, CMA,   etc.  So many strong women persevered despite male dominance,....which continues.  Reba, was on Colbert the other night and said no women were up for Entertainer of the Year that his year,  and she was not happy abt that.

I loved Lorrie Morgan! " I'm looking for something in blue" is one of my all time fav songs.

Sorry for going off topic.

MM is not worthy of Jessie, and Shooter's time.

Seriously,  she is such a dilettante about so many subjects, including politics. The know-it-all tone MM uses as she reads Hubbie's blue cards is a ridiculous joke. God, please get her off my tv soon.

I have 4 Views on my Dvr and just not sure abt watching them cuz MM puts me in a bad mood and, I end up muttering profane retorts as I go about my household chores,  and I have to reassure  my dog and cats that Im not mad at them. So I end up giving them  extra treats and tummy rubs.

I hate the movie Walk the Line. I was so pissed that it made his first wife look like a bitch for being angry at his disgusting behavior.  The "love affair" was a slap in his wife's face.

Amy Winehouse was known more for her "beehive."  Here's a nice photo of Amy--not her usual "rats' nest," but still nothing like Ms. Meghan's.

It's actually sad to see Amy W. like this.

Earlier this week she said that she likes when Hollywood becomes political, now that she's apparently happy with Abby's interview when she wasn't before. She also said that she doesn't surround herself with yes people and likes being told that she's wrong, but we know that she can't handle that.

It's been a strange week.

I think it's obvious by the way she behaves on this show that there's no way any of this can be true.

She is very clearly enabled in her private life, and probably always has been.

I think she would mind.  The McCain name is why she's on this show in the first place.  She's made a whole career out of being John McCain's daughter.  He was a man who served his country admirably and accomplished quite a lot in the decades that's followed, and she totally rides on those coattails, and welcomes the doors that open for her.  All while feeling entitled to every bit of it, of course.  I'm sure she knows that being Meghan Domenech or Mrs. Domenech wouldn't do a thing to help her career because neither she nor her husband have done very much at all.

It was also laughable when MM praised Abby for "catching" Ivanka in a lie. Abby didn't catch anything, she smiled with her wiggly worm-lips and sweetly accepted Ivanka's answer/lie without pushing back like a real journalist.  It is the recent story by actual journalists that outed Trump for ordering top secret security clearance for Mr. Ivanka.

Yes, that made me laugh.  Abby didn't do anything other than ask a question, which Ivanka then answered.  Truthful or not (and it wasn't!), Abby then just went on to the next question.  She didn't catch her in a lie or call her out on it, or even get a skeptical look in her eye.

Ivanka was caught in a big fat lie for sure, but it wasn't Abby who caught it.   It was a softball interview, nothing more.  MM really is not too bright.
