I'm also usually that weird lady with her hand on her hip or her arm/s held up/rested on something in most every pic.

Why do I do it? Because my arm/body always appears slimmer that way; otherwise, if I hold my bare arm down it just appears squishy and flabby. Mind you, I work out and have muscular arms; the toned up look I strive for doesn't show without proper arm-placement; I'm sure Ramona deals with the same issue. Although she doesn't ever appear very relaxed in her pics and usually appears very stiff and posed, so she really should learn to be more subtle about her casual photo posing tricks.

Yep---much like her wardrobe, Ramona's taste in home decor has always been lackluster and outdated. I'm surprised her recent Manhattan apartment update looks nearly as good as it does, because it was equally as overdue for some updating for the past few years. She needs to focus on fixing up that old Hamptons house already; maybe she can get some Berkshires-chic design tips from Dorinda. Or just request to use Lu's decorator, because her Sag Harbor house is absolutely gorgeous both inside and out!

Speaking of necessary house updates, Sonja really needs to somehow save up her check from this series and start updating her townhouse already. She's the only current HW who hasn't done anything to revamp her current living situation, and boy does it ever show!!

Curiously, the first thing my eyes went to was not Moaner's jacked-up face (that was the second thing) but her veiny liver-spotted hand. She's such a huge prude that I don't know why she attempts this sexy carefree drag because it is not her. She lost it in season 1 over Alex's photos. It's the same thing with Bethenny's movie. She's focusing in on these weird details. She says "you had sex on a water bed." Bethenny pretended to have sex on a water bed because she was acting. I'm sure if Ramona finds herself upset with Carole, the gallery show will be reframed by Ramona as "Carole flashed her boobs to half of New York."

She's jealous.  I think part of her would have loved to have been that free in body and mind and she suppresses it even now with condemnation of others.

 I agree, Giselle. There's something fundamentally wrong with Ramona. It's possibly from her childhood (probably is from that) but she's continued it in her adult life. Perhaps if she'd sought therapy with a qualifed(!) therapist, she'd have been able to overcome her problems but I can't see Ramona doing that. She thinks she's always right, she never makes mistakes, she never insults anyone, no one should take offense at anything she says or how she behaves, etc, etc. She lives in her own little world and won't hear another word about how her behavior affects other people. I don't believe that she'll ever change. No wonder no man wants a second date with her. Who'd want to deal with that crazy? I really applaud Avery for becoming a "normal" human being, graduating from college and I hope she manages to find a career and a happy life away from her mother. As much as I thought Mario was a lech around women,he seems to have helped raise a fine daughter, despite her mother.

She's weirdly provincial and afraid of change. She is really judgmental, a snob, and can't admit that she's wrong. If she weren't so scared, she'd notice that there are other women on the other franchises that she might have more in common with. I honestly think that a friendship with Lea Black or Shannon Beador might do the Ramonster some good. Shannon is a hypochondriac and really whiny, but Shannon has a vulnerability about her. She's willing to show when, how, and why she's messed up. Lea is just better at filtering the shit she wants to say.

I've gone back and started watching RHONY from the very beginning again (there is nothing else on tv) and OMG. The very first reunion (the one where she walked off because Alex had the topless photos), she was sitting with her back to Andy and when she stood up to walk off, she had her legs splayed out while wearing a short skirt.

As much as I like all of the HW's I have never bought a single item that any of them hock.

I do know that Ramona's book did fairly well. The book that totally tanked was Luann's Class With The Countess. She would have done better but the Count dumped her and refused to refrain from galavanting around with the Ethiopian Princess. Last ranking Ramona at #314838 and Luann at #874338.

I have this memory (from where I know not) that, of HWs books, the 2 that sold best were Teresa/NJ's first cookbook (was that Skinny Italian) and Bethenny's first book.  Anyone with more recent info do share.

Caroline Manzo's book stunk too, it is ranked at 716,473. Luann really got screwed over by the Count, if she hadn't had the public humiliation before the book tour/press tour - she would have had a chance.

Music releases - and I use the term loosely, I think Don't Be Tardy For The Party was the money maker. Luann probably did better than Melissa Gorga, Danielle Staub, Jo from OC, Gretchen OC...but you'd only have to sell 4 discs to surpass them.

I do think that liquor wise - SKG had the most success, followed by Ramona. Vicki OC, Heather OC, Sonja NY - their liquor lines tanked. Sonja's is still invisible.
