Everyone knows Ensley does not have Down syndrome. Posts suggesting that she does will be removed and warnings issued. Posts such as these leave the impression that an arguably unflattering picture could somehow be construed as a child being disabled is considered ableist and is against the rules of the board.

So what I don't get is, on Teen mom, the cast members refused to film if Farrah was going to be on the show because she did porn. What about the TM2 cast when it comes to Jenelle? Why can't they take a stand and refuse to film if Jenelle is on the show- she is promoting abuse, drug use, child neglect- far worse things than Farrah when she did porn. I just feel so horrible for her kids and everyone else affected by her behavior. MTV should fire her but it's sad that all they are about is ratings so they will continue to film her psychotic a$$ and her abusive husband.

How much of the continued presence of this program can we attribute to the fact that MTV can't come up with the hours of programming they'd need to replace it? If you shitcan the whole franchise, you're talking something like 50 hours of primetime slot you'd have to fill up. This is a fairly creatively bankrupt network, but can't they just throw a few more real world spin offs together?

I guess at least the TM2 cast isn't pretending to have "morals" like the TMOG girls did until it was going to hurt their paychecks (looking at you, Maci)? 

I agree, though. MTV is co-signing and underwriting all of the abuse and dysfunction going on at The Land.

LOL pipe dream. Fuck, I'd be happy if they brought back Daria and Clone High. I'd rather watch Daria: The Adult Years then people get paid to abuse their children. It's ridiculous.

Seriously. I would be so on board if they would replace Teen Mom with a reality show about Alyssa from "True Life: I Have Tourette's", or the infamous Dianne from "Fat Camp" (hell, I'd almost even watch a show about Petey). The only think I want to see regarding Teen Mom is the "where are they now?" specials about what happens to them all within 5 years of getting this show getting canceled.

Except it would take less than a year for most of them to descend into destitution, like in two years one of them might be off the grid entirely. I like to imagine the world in which Amber's storage locker is auctioned off and it contains like eight cases of plastic vagina and ass molds she had made that never sold.

Shit bring back True life period! It struck the right balance between presenting, in a real way, serious issues facing young people and the more funny or silly issues. I'll never forget the episode about schizophrenia, that was so powerful and sad.

Also, MTV could bring back quality young adult/adult animation. MTV actually had some cutting edge, quality programming back in the day. I'm getting tired of watching the teen momses get handed bucket loads of cash and never doing anything positive with it. I am more curious now about what those fools will be looking like 1,5, 10 or even 20 years from now, as well as the kids. Right now it is the same ol', same ol' bullshit from these chicks and I don't see it changing unless the MTV rug is pulled out from under them.

I feel like I do too. But I did see in a comment from somebody else a while back the idea that Isaac might actually be worse-off than some of the others because sometimes the most sensitive are the most harmed, and it got me thinking. It's true that a very sensitive kid like Isaac might actually end up being more harmed than a more resilient-seeming one, like Lincoln or Aubree--she isn't being abused but to me she seems very "whatevs" about the whole Adam thing; Chelsea always seems much more upset about Adam. Isaac, on the other hand, would absolutely notice if it was him, and might therefore develop more of a traumatized reaction if an Adam-type was his dad. Jace, too, though he has behavioral problems, also seems sensitive to me. There is some role that individual personality plays. It'll be strange to see it all play out.

Oh I think we all know. Kail will try to "hustle" for a few years, selling her stories to rags, working with Javi to manufacture drama, and probably going through some more babies daddies. I do think she will settle for a normal job when she realizes no ones cares about her Z-list ass and that she isn't going to be handed a big time TV Producing job. She'll have to downsize most likely, but maybe she could live a normal life. I for one would be fine seeing her entitled ass humbled.

Jenelle...losing the paycheck might extend her life, actually. UBT would most likely leave her as soon as they dry up the little bit left. She'll most likely turn to welfare, if not criminal activity like drug selling (not that she could keep her sticky fingers off the stash for long) or stripping/prostitution. I see her kids being taken away, a positive, and her not having too many more because without the MTV allure, I don't see many men willing to be trapped by her.

Leah, with her lack of financial foresight, will likely end up struggling to keep her house and lifestyle. She will likely downsize to a smaller trailer or apartment, receive welfare, and if she really finds some ambition, get a minimum wage job. She may go back to pillses, but with less money, it may no longer be in her budget. If she is really lucky, she'll find a new husband that makes just enough to set her up as a SAHM again, though a much more humble one then she was in her Jeremy days.

Chelsea will be fine, I think. The worst that will happen is they might have to downsize slightly to stretch their TM2 savings, maybe keep their family small, stick with the house they have for awhile, stop growing that farm they've seem to have collected recently, and Chelsea may even have to work a part/full time job at some point, but that's all I really see for them.

The kids are kind of murky. Aubree, Watson-most likely fine, unless Aubree takes after daddy a little to much and goes off the rails as a teen. It does happen to the "good" ones sometimes. Isaac, Linc, and Lux = I'm pretty sure the first two will be fine-ish, with their loving extended families. At this point I'm most worried about Lux, since he only has Kail to lean on. Ali, Grace, and Addie=Hard to tell, especially for the younger two. I'm afraid they'll internalize Leah's bad example and the sexist attitudes around them. Jace, Kaiser, and Ensley=I sort of hold out hope for Jace and Kai, since they do have family that is looking out for their best interests and trying to give them stability and love. Ensley, unless there is a secret Barb or Doris in the Bad Touch family, will have it pretty hard. Her best hope would be to end up in a loving adoptive family before it is too late.

Anyway sorry about this essay, somehow these idiots inspire me. I should really be ashamed lol.

Are they the biggest cash cows (no Karl pun intended) on MTV? It has even taken Johnny Bananas like 15 years to bank the 3/4 of a million dollars he's gotten off MTV in the Challenges. Love him, or hate him, he at least does things like eat cow balls, and deals with Camilla for his cash...I'm sure he'd much rather smoke weed & neglect children to earn that in a third of the time.

I also think the TM2 moms need to take a stand. I’d refuse to share any stage won’t psycho David.  They could take it further and say they won’t film until David and Jenelle are off the show but we know they won’t do that.

Hahahahahahaha! How many TMOG/TM2 cast members that attended the reunions actually have a job outside of the show? (Rhetorical question since it's not many, not counting grandparents.) If he asked David and all the rest of the jobless people on this show why they don't have real jobs (like Cole, Vee, Corey, etc.), they'd need more than two hour-long segments for the unemployed cast members to justify their joblessness with their passion projects, "brands," public speaking gigs, ghost-written books, crappy clothing lines, PR "jobs," stay-at-home-"parenting" (for the SAHMs that don't actually parent/keep house all that well), MLMs, etc.....

This. We often talk about Kaiser and Jace the most because they're old enough to be visibly affected by what's around them. All the others have at least one fit parent (if we consider Barb Jace's parent, which I believe she is in every way). Kaiser has two unfit parents, but he does have Doris to some extent. Ensley has no one.

Yeah, but the thing is I don't really care about Jenelle one way or the other, stopped a long time ago. I do care that a psychiatrist said on television that an abuse victim might need to be 'contained,' thus justifying victim blaming. I hope he isn't still a professor at USC and no longer works in an actual clinical setting because if so, he needs to be fired stat. He should not be teaching anyone anything.

Ok, as a formerly giant-headed baby, I can speak from experience that Endtable may yet grow into the size of her head. The shape, on the other hand.....

(Seriously, in my baby pictures, my head takes up 3/4 of the frame every time. Apparently I had trouble holding it up too.)
