I'm not looking forward to seeing LVP get iced out of the show. She and Kyle are the two OGs that I hoped would stay around as long as the show was around and it's hard to imagine the show without her

Lisa is not the only one.  Whether they mention it in their blogs or not, next season will be very different with everyone keeping their distance from Brandi.   Anyone know when the next season airs?  Curious as to how much time will elapse before they start filming again.

Me too!  Eileen looks great.  If she's used any fillers or Botox, you can't tell.  It looks natural.

 

Eileen and Yolanda are the only two that don't go overboard with their makeup.

Those two know how to do it without distorting their features (unlike the two Lisas and Brandi). There's nothing desperate about their look.

Say what Ken goes up to the ladies and touches their head and face...slightly weird! The food isn't that great except at Pump. That's probably why Kyle and LV were there after the reunion. The writer says it all: people go to LV's restaurants to be seen.

Villa Blanca, SUR and Pump are obviously restaurants where one goes to be seen or to pretend like Bravo's cameras are following you around. For that, I have to salute Lisa. She nailed it in that regard, and has managed to use Bravo to simultaneously promote and brand her businesses— and get paid for it. And while this may not be saying much, I have to imagine that these Vanderpump establishments are all fairly comparable to the restaurants near them."

She said today she'd be off twitter for a bit - Ken is having some kind of surgery. 

Before I read this I had commented on Lisa and Ken being hurt over Brandi telling Lisa to hurry up to the renewal ceremony because Ken might die.  Coupled with Brandi screaming in Lisa's face that her sick dad is a much better person than she or Ken or the two combined-horrible comments. 

 

There are times I have found Ken to be an absolute asshole but he has always shown a deep and abiding love and commitment to Lisa.  I hope he comes through the surgery with shining colors.

Yes - so much better than her "Soap-diva-with-pink-patent-leather-lips" look.

I think LisaV, like most of the RH's on all the HW shows, wears too much makeup on camera, she looks so much younger/better with less, they all do. JMO

ITA - No matter how crabby he is at times, he always has Lisa's back.  Kyle is also lucky.

I think the early morning strategy sessions that LisaV has with whomever she is allied with says a lot about her approach to this show - first with Kyle, and then Brandi. Probably now with Kyle again. (Came up at last year's reunion, now on Bravo.)

Lisa V came back leading the wolves and making a dignified exit now is ok.  The day Andy shushed me like he did Lisa wouldn't be the beginning of my exit but the predicted spat he was allowed to get away with because I was already gone. Little shithead.

It was great to see LisaV take up for Kyle last night - what fun it would be to see all these ladies next season sans the toxic twins - but, as much as Lisa meant well, I think it would be a huge mistake for Kyle to keep Kim in her life. Very few narcissists ever change and the abuse will never stop. I hope she protects herself and her family and enjoys life to the fullest!

That's interesting. I don't usually read the wives blogs anymore but I just use "BG" too. In fact I recommended it awhile ago as a way to not give her vileness any promotion. I will probably continue that practice for any cast member that I feel is being vile for hire.

LVP's new housewares collection is being hawked on the  "Joss & Main" home goods website for the next 5 days.  I just got a notice in my inbox so I moseyed on over there this morning to take a peek.  Joss & Main is one of those sites that, in order to browse the items to buy one must create an account and sign into the account every single time they would like to see stuff. 

 

LVP's things are up for sale for the next 4 1/2 days (or until everything gets sold out).  Uggh, not my taste.  Fugly.  Tacky.  Very, very busy!  The ugliest things are sold out (hee!) - a "diamonte" champagne/wine bucket is sold out for $192.  It looks like someone took a small champagne bucket and vomited glass and fake pearls over the entirety of it.  Hideous.  Definitely not my taste.  Most of the "diamonte" items are sold out already and the stuff just went on sale this morning, so good for Lisa!

 

A lot of fake "Buckingham palace-y"  looking bad knock-off stuff.  The collection is all pearl/crystal encrusted, mostly small items, pink charger plates, some ugly wine glasses, goblets of some sort with silver-etching on them, and small faux sterling silver bowls (candy/nut bowls or dip bowls), etc.  Egads, I hate all of the stuff she's selling but I was eyeing the $15 pearl/fake diamond -  er, diamante (cough, cough!) wine coaster for when I'm watching RHOBH.  (I know.  I know.  I'll see my hypocritical ass out now).

 

UPDATE:  Now some of the items that were previously marked "sold out" this morning (i.e. - diamante wine bucket, diamante picture frame) are currently not sold out and are back in stock apparently!

Lisa absolutely deserves recognition because she is tireless in promoting LGBT issues.  However, the Assembly Woman of the year is a it misleading--each of the  80 California Assembly districts or persons is allowed t have a "Woman of the Year" and about50 mentions per district.  I am certain Caitlyn Jenner will get one this coming year.  Her UN speech was short but what an honor.

The one thing I am certain about with this show is that it is better when Kyle and Lisa are friends. They are both better. Each of them tends to bring out the best in the other and it always looks genuine. Nothing has ever seemed forced or contrived in their interactions. Clearly the drama next season will move to other things. It won't be so much about how terrible Brandi is. I suspect that the person they bring in will be someone she will get along with, maybe even a friend of hers. I hope that Lisa and Kyle keep their friendship moving forward no matter what happens. Kyle said in an interview last year that they were closer than ever and she couldn't imagine anything getting in their way again. I hope they mean this. If they are smart they will make some sort of pact to not let any petty stuff come out on camera. I could be wrong, but have always thought that Carole and Heather have such a pact or an understanding. Not that they won't ever fight or disagree, because real friends do. I just think that they will keep it away from the cameras. At least I hope so.

I watched this last night, TRANSFIXED at the amount of mystery metals, spray on  gold, glass pearls and all around JUNK the Divine Ms. Vander Pump presented with a STRAIGHT {albeit surgically enhanced} face.  I love Lisa, love the lifestyle porn she presents AND am a jewelry whore, but even I wouldn't wear that crap.

 

Giggy slept on a cushion and was featured in his royal purple suit several times.

I really enjoyed that clip from Perez.  I just want to say something about Lisa.  I have a close friend who is English, whom I met on a tour several years ago.  She and her husband live in England.  She has the most wonderful sense of humor, and it's EXACTLY like Lisa's!  The two of them were cut from the same mold.  When I first met her, I didn't understand that she was joking when she said certain things, and Lisa is the same way.  I sat here laughing during this video of Lisa because I could tell that she intended some of her comments to be funny.  But most Americans, including me, don't quite get that English sense of humor.  I think it has to be learned.  At least, I had to learn it.  Now, I think my friend is hilarious, but I didn't at first.

 

I've always liked Lisa.  Sure, she has her quirks like they all do, but I think by and large she's a pretty good person as far as the people in BH go.  I do think, for the most part, that she's also honest.  I'm not Lisa's great defender, and she's had moments that have disappointed me, but I don't find her to be a joke.  I hope she'll stay on the show for as long as they'll have her.

Is anyone picking up on a separation between Lisa and Kyle/the others since filming ended? It was weird to me that she didn't attend the screening at Kyle's, since everyone else from season 1 was there. She didn't even tweet about it.

The Todd's career history is building a restaurant or bar, and its following and then selling it. 

They've been successful dozens of times in Europe doing this. Sometimes is takes awhile to find the right buyer.

Have eaten at Villa Blanca a few times. Have a salad I like. Other Items questionable sometimes.

I honestly am impressed and mystified that Ken made tens of millions of dollars from restaurants. Isn't that an insanely competitive industry?

On multiple sites for net worth it mentions Ken made money from the textile industry before getting involved in the bar/restaurant business. I gather he may have sold clothing and been very successful. He supposedly has a net worth of $85 million.
