My heart always hurt for her the season where Kelli tells her that she’s viewed as being stuck up (can’t recall if it was TC that she was cut or the TC she made the team).  I never really got that from her on the show. Yes, I know...can’t determine a persons real personality through the lens of Reality TV. But I thought she was just a little more reserved than the other girls, plus she seemed completely stressed out and overwhelmed by TC

Same here.

You didn't hear that COVID is gone in Dallas?  I feel like The Statler always hits my radar for ill advised gatherings lately.  Must be the Covid party go-to!

As for the "wifelorette," kind of a clever, if a little cheesy concept.  I like the idea of having it later because a Bachelorette party had been cancelled, but mayyyyyybe later should just be LATER.  Like post-vaccine.  LATER.

Oooooh. Can you have “wifelorette” if you’ve been married for 4.5 years? Asking for a friend.

Also it took a solid 5 minutes for me to figure out what a “wifelorette” was. I seriously thought it was something French 🤣🤣🤣

Yes your friend can !!

Has anyone been doing the zoom-ba with Jinelle? I have been doing it - it's a nice change from running although I am super uncoordinated. I watch the recorded version and last week there was someone on who kept asking questions during the dance pause - where Jinelle talks about the next song. It made me feel a bit uncomfortable listening to the exchange - although I could be reading too much into it. It just made me feel a bit sad that they probably get so many creepy interactions from fans simply because they are in the 'public eye'.  We dont have cheer teams here in Aussie rules footy but we do in NRL (where Jinelle came from). I wonder if they get the creeps as well?

I know she is getting flack for not following COVID prevention protocols at their wedding, but she is a seriously completely stunning woman. Heartbreaking that her dad just passed away.

I've always felt that's one of the nastiest bullying tactics, saying, "this is what others think/say about you." If Kelly had gotten that feedback from other coaches, she'd had all of training camp to determine if she agreed. It can be incredibly stressful and confusing to be told that others are talking smack or expressing negative opinions when you are unaware of it.

Fortunately you can dismiss this form of bullying by telling them (and perhaps yourself) that what others think of you is none of your business...because it isn't...As long I'm happy with me and doing what I can to do the right thing, I'm good...people who bully are usually not happy with themselves

Who was the one TCC that was brought in the office and told that? For some reason I can't think of her name.  Also do we really believe that the "former dance directors" have said those things????

It was Ashley Pro. It's probably believable because it's been shown that they do background checks on the TCC. The Texas dance/cheer world is probably pretty tight and it's likely they all know each other. It's probably closer to gossiping than it is to giving a reference like you would for a job.

But I feel like they did it on like the last night or just before they announced the team that year. It felt like such a dick move to be ask those questions after you've had her in camp all summer. "Hey everyone you used to dance with thinks you're a bitch. Even though we've been together for 8 weeks, we wanted to ask, why do you think they said that? Answer well because we're announcing the team in 10 minutes and your answer will decide if you're in the room or not."

Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but it wasn't like the Gina thing where her current DCC leaders were like, maybe she needs to be more of a teammate and they gave her a chance to take Tara to the zoo.

And it was her second time in camp!  I always thought that, like you are bringing this up now?! But of course Kelli was able to make it about her, saying she was misunderstood at times too.....NO, we see you Kelli LOL

Gina's office visits her first TC made me really not like her at first.   I can't remember exactly what/how they asked her about the other girls, but her first response was that she has dealt with jealousy before.  I cringed at that and thought that wouldn't go over well with her teammates when it aired.

I know this is a little "off topic"...sorry.  I applied for a job earlier this month and all the references I gave were asked to answer a "survey" at a link that was texted to them.  I know for a fact that one of the ladies I put down never even attempted to answer the survey (she's 93).  Has anyone else ever heard of or seen reference gathering done this way?

Yes. Hubby applied for a few jobs a couple of years back where his references were asked to complete an online survey. It probably will become more common in the future.

So after a little internet surfing, Christina does work at Mandy's old studio (teaching pom classes).   On the webpage, one of the lead pics is Christina, Slade, & a few younger girls....almost makes me wonder if his family or something has something to do with that studio.  I mean it could be pure coincidence, but of all studios?  (unless there aren't many in the area).  The other thing I found out was that he was drafted by the Raiders out of college....looks like his time there overlapped with when she was a raiderette....I wonder if that's how Mandy met him or if that is why she went to the raiderettes...

Several years ago a job I applied for required 6 references and thier email address. All six were sent a form to fill out, and at least 3 HAD to fill it out for you to even be considered for the position. By the way, I got the job!!😊😊😊😎

So glad you got the job! I guess companies realize that not everyone will complete the form, so that is why they ask for six (that's a lot!) of references.

(Disclaimer: I've always been a fan of Christina and always come to her defense, so definitely not an attack  on you or your opinion, I promise! I relate to her as I am also hard of hearing and know some of the issues that causes in social settings, and it would take me a zillion years to make the DCC as well, lol!)

Now that I know her boyfriend is from that area, it makes sense to me why she moved there and into that studio. From what I understand, there are no issues between Mandy, Christina, and "the boyfriend". For me, and JMO, seems like that was convenient for everyone and worked out well. Please correct me, if I have misstated anything, I don't follow any of them that closely. Just hope everyone is happy and healthy!

I appreciate everything you said. Absolutely no offense taken. Christina has never appealed to me, mainly because I have nothing in common with her. You do, and that is pretty cool since she is active in her community, bringing awareness to issues you both live with. As a woman who has had someone come after me in a relationship, believe me when I say, Mandy has issues with this but is covering it up well. 🤷‍♀️ That is just my opinion.

If you go to Pulse's instagram page (@pulsedancenw), 9/1 they posted a picture welcoming her.  Their webpage is https://pulsedancenw.com/  When the page first opens, the main picture is 5 girls, if you click the arrow too the left, that is the pic of them I'm referring to.

I couldn't get anything to attach.  I would always rather it posted here than trying to track it down 🙂

Also, I scrolled further down and in May, there is a picture of Slade & the caption says he is the owner!!!  So that mystery is solved...but it leads to so many more questions....was it Mandy's first, or was it both of theirs, or was the 'owner' part just for her DCC intro????  I'm just so curious now LOL

Seeing this picture reminds me that Christina is a perfect example of someone who was just another blonde blender on the DCC, but would absolutely be the smoking hottest woman walking around just about everyone's hometown.  It's easy to forget that when we discuss their physical appearance on the show, myself included.

Has anybody seen the Lifetime Christmas movie with Abigail Klein in one of the lead roles? It's called Christmas on Ice. Abigail looked fantastic, and her hair is darker, which I think looks good on her.

I didn't love the movie, but she did a good job with what she had to work with (as my mom would say). I wouldn't have recognized her as the bubbly girl from season 2 or the TacoBell commercial, which is great!

I like her on that ep of CSI when she played the weather girl.  Other than that, the Taco Bell commercial is cute

I didn't "have to", and in hindsight I probably shouldn't have, but it was just a bad situation.  They expected me to figure out how to answer and handle incoming phone calls by just watching the lady I'd be replacing over her shoulder while I was busy trying to pass all their "E Learning" crap.  At least I got paid for the one day @ the job site and the several hours I spent on my own time at home doing the "E Learning".

I don't care that Christina's dating Mandy's ex given that she didn't know Mandy (at least I don't THINK she did), but the fact that she suddenly stepped into Mandy's old life/role IS a little weird because it's like she thought "If I experience everything MANDY did, maybe I'll get as fabulous a career as SHE did" despite the fact that Mandy outperforms Christina on so many levels in the dance world.  Christina will have her own experience though and I'm just guessing as to what's going on in that whole situation.  I would like to meet Christina to see what I think of her as a person vs what she's like as a dancer and form my own opinion of her based on real world knowledge.

I really don't think it's odd that Christina started dating Mandy's ex.  They were never teammates and Mandy moved away from Dallas when she quit the DCC because rumor was she did not want to try out again and have them show a conversation on her weight.  Christina has worked in fitness and dance for years.  Christina's boyfriend went to fitness classes Christina taught.  I believe Danielle got her a job in recruiting but the first job Christina could get when she moved would make sense at a dance studio.  Danielle used to date Rachel A's current boyfriend.  Rachel W went out with Lacey's husband a while back before Lacey would have met him.  Some guys like dating the cheerleader.  I think Chrisitna barely squeaked on the team her last year and it was time for her to retire.  However,  as far as her personal life she seems happy and moved out of state with her man and I wish good things for her.

Hearing your ex has moved on, people react differently.  If Mandy is staying silent, she has taken the high road and good for her.  Mandy is a beautiful woman and I'm sure she will find someone.

Yes, I'm happy to see all parties involved are happy and that's is all that really matters.  It all makes sense how things fell in place for Christina and the dance studio, but it's not out of reach to think it is kinda weird.

I'm hoping everybody who's attending Danielle's wedding was/is being as responsible as they can be!

(I think the wedding should just be a court ceremony or postponed, but that's besides the point.)

She seems well-loved by her DCC sisters, so that's heartening to see.

I always try to look at things from both sides and not to judge, which can be hard to do... When it comes to Covid and the lock-down the most sensible thing seems to be extremely cautious/lock yourself away in your house. Yet at the same time I can see why a lot of people struggle to stick to the rules, especially when you are from an area where Covid hardly claims any victims, and/or you only know people with (very) mild symptoms. I teach high school classes and this is one of the discussions I recently had with my students. I try not to be harsh and condemning, unless it is someone deliberating flaunting the rules whilst obviously sick and running a fever for instance.

On a personal note but for different reasons: it seems sooo easy to just postpone your wedding (till God knows when) but I can tell from experience it is not.  We decided to get married eventually but with a very limited number of people. And till this day, years later, we stand by this decision but there is this annoying, nagging voice in the back of my mind that keeps saying "my wedding day has not been what I envisioned and I cannot change a damn thing about it..." And that is something I will probably regret till the day I die...

I wish Danielle all the best and a very happy future❤️

In any case, she seems like a lovely person otherwise and well liked by her teammates.

In general I agree with you. Your wedding should be a cherished memory so you should be able to have it the way you want -whether that means save up for years in order to have a huge party or take 5 of your closest friends and get married on the beach. BUT, I don’t think that having to postpone your wedding due to a pandemic is the end of the world. It’s a (hopefully) once in a lifetime thing and something that we need to accept and endure for a little longer. Selfish actions like that is what makes us all suffer.

I’m sorry if I sound harsh, but we’re entering a second lockdown in my area precisely because people can’t sit their butts down and follow the rules. And it was announced that they are looking into the possibility that there is a mutation already and that’s why the cases have risen so fast, which would make the vaccines currently under testing useless AND mean that we would have to start over. So yes I’m hella pissed because I’ve spent 7 months of my life like this and I hate that so many people decided that having the time of their lives during a pandemic is more important than the common good.

You have family and friends and the love of your life next to you? Suck it up, stay home and marry them next year, it’s not gonna destroy your life or change much really. Getting people sick or under another lockdown does destroy their lives though.

I’m inclined to agree with you. In England, we’ve just gone into our second lockdown (not as locked down as the first one though). Numbers have been rising since the first lockdown was lifted as social distancing seemed to go out of the window for the most part.

My nanna has barely left the house since February and now she has to choose just one of her six children to form a support bubble with.

My parents and I have only gone to work, the supermarket and the occasional coffee out to avoid others not following the rules i.e. wearing a mask and social distancing. Yet we have to stay at home for another month because others won’t follow the rules.

This laisez-faire attitude is why the numbers aren’t decreasing.

Her dancing was weak and not on Mandy’s dance levels but in terms or weight it does seem like (based on looks wise) was Christina’s body was slimmer than Mandy and Mandys was more healthier and may seem overweight in DCC terms.

Who is this Slade (or whatever his name is) you guys are talking about? Is he the one in the picture with Christina with the Pulse kids.

I always wondered who the new owners of Mandy’s studio was, because she said she was travelling between Texas and the studio when she made the team, which sounded super expensive in terms of plane flights etc, especially since there seems to be a picture of Mandy still on that website (or I think it’s Mandy it’s been there since her DCC days)

But having said that don’t forget I think Christina DOES know Mandy. Christina has tried out for the team 5 times, since her early 20’s, before making it on her 6th try (if I remember correctly), around when she was 27 or 28, and during the 5 times she tried out (before making it) she made finals and training camp once or twice so there would have been a chance she have met DCC’s who was on the team before she finally made the team.

She might have met Mandy in finals during one of the finals but we never saw because of the condensed hours for the show and it’s only about 2 years ago when they sep the prelims, semis, finals into 3 separate episodes and before that all of that was done within 1 episode. It’s like Erica Wilkins, Melissa Rycroft said somewhere that Erica tried out the year after she got cut but she was never really shown because of the lawsuit but not confirmed but any of us in terms of seeing X or Y or Z etc

I love Danielle, but I can’t stand incredibly selfish people so... and she had out of town guests like Heather (whom I also used to love but...).

That’s why I stopped following Danielle on Instagram. She expected COVID to be completely “gone” by her wedding, she can’t seriously be that stupid to seriously think that is she? I didn’t even know the COVID cases in the USA had dropped that much for it to be completely gone by then. But at least it looked like there was social distancing unlike a certain former DCC, naming no names, yes I’m talking about you Lacey.

I did respect Danielle A LITTLE (not a lot and I had a lot of respect for her when she was a DCC) for at least post phoning unlike someone who was that desperate (I wish my friend and her army husband broke the uk COVID rules for her wedding which happened a few weeks before selfish Lacey’s wedding, still kills and breaks my heart and makes me cry her dad never got to walk her down the aisle but had to watch the wedding via a video call at home  ....)

the ceremony looks kinda ok, but even there you can see hella lots of people there. You don’t catch covid or any illness only if you stand around x number of people. Just by looking at the wedding party you have like 20 people right next to each other and of course all of them got dressed together etc and Danielle had apparently some kind of pre party yesterday. Is that really following the rules?

The venue seemed more crowded, they were inside without masks, they danced together, they ate together. So no, that’s not social distancing. Especially when you consider that people travelled there and will travel back to their hometowns now.

At least Lacey’s ceremony and reception were both outside if im not mistaken. There’s no social distancing in a party held indoors, it’s that simple.

I agree with you! It doesn’t matter if you have a “big” wedding or not because COVID doesn’t care. It only takes one person to spread it. Personally, I would have tried to postpone my big day because I wouldn’t want to risk being the host of a super spreader event. She had people from all over the country and no masks interacting🤦🏻‍♀️

That's why my cousin postponed his until next year. He didn't want to be the reason anyone got sick since so many of us would have had to fly there. He and his fiancé just felt it wasn't worth the risk. They also didn't want to make us have to make the decision to not go to his wedding which I, having a compromised immune system would have had to do. They are crushed that they haven't had their wedding yet, it was all planned and was going to be breathtaking, but they put their guests (and those wouldn't have been able to go during Covid) ahead of their schedule. I just hope this ends before their new date because I so want to be there with them.
