They have made it quite obvious what is more important to them, and it is not the love of their lives part. That you don't need a party for, or guests, or photos of you and your pals hanging all over each other and you don't need to post your love on instagram and facebook or tweet about it. 

And it's not about keeping yourself from getting sick, or at least it shouldn't be, it should be about helping keep other people from getting sick, especially people you claim to care about. 

My cousin cancelled his wedding because he didn't want those of us on the opposite coast getting on a plane and he didn't want her parents, who are older, to run any risk because he know that we and they would want to be there. He made a sacrifice, which is something I feel like a lot of these young women don't understand. They want what they want and they want it more than anybody else (like being a DCC) and it doesn't matter what is going on, or if they aren't as good as the 100 other women who want the same thing. I hear it every season. "I want this so much" "Everyone should have their dreams come true". That's lovely, but life isn't a Disney movie and we should all make the minor sacrifices of not going to the beach, or hugging all over people we haven't been quarantined with. 

I do know someone though, who is going full steam with her wedding because she's VERY Catholic, and "getting older" and fears that if they don't get married right away her eggs will dry up and she won't be able to have the half dozen kids she wants. Being non-religious I hadn't thought of that "I have to get married right now so I get screw and have babies" thing until I heard her reason for having her wedding now.

I know that feeling...I had pneumonia when I was pregnant...I got sick the week after Christmas, was totally down about 10 days...the baby was born the first week of March (I think I coughed him out, poor thing)...and was still coughing until May...the baby thought it was a lullaby...it was all viral, so no antibiotics, just treating the symptoms...

Me too. After being induced and 14 hours of labor ( no drugs) one was enough! 

I follow her on IG (it's private so I couldn't post) she had found some paperwork from when she was a DCC. It asked about a goal and hers was to have a large family. This one will be a girl. She already has 5 girls and 1 boy.

-Here's some information to help keep the germs from getting passed around.. The data was compiled for H1N1, but applies to all respiratory infections.

**The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible to avoid coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.

While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps, not fully highlighted in most official communications, can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):

1. Frequent hand-washing. Use plain soap and water, use hand sanitizers only in a pinch as they kill off healthy bacteria. And always wash your hands after wiping the kids' noses or changing diapers.

2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face (unless you want to eat, bathe). If your hands are contaminated and you touch your face, there is a huge risk of transporting the cooties to your mouth or nose.

3. *Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don't trust salt). *H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.

4. Similar to 3 above, clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water. *Not everybody may be good at Jala Neti or Sutra Neti (very good Yoga asanas to clean nasal cavities, the Neti pots are available at the drug store as are prepared sinus rinses), but *blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton buds dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population. Aerosol saline sinus rinses work too.

5. *Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C (Amla and other citrus fruits). *If you have to supplement with Vitamin C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.

6. *Drink as much of warm liquids (tea, coffee, etc) as you can. *Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.

Did Christina post anything else besides that one picture at the winery? Because it’s more than possible she was following safe social distancing. The photo is of her with someone she quarantined with, outside, with no one else around. It’s very possible she had her mask in her pocket and the photo was taken by someone she also already accepted into her pod. Visiting a winery with a ton of outdoor space is relatively safe if everyone is smart.

I think *that’s* where the major issue is: even people making good choices are hiding that they made those choices in order to get that perfect shot for the ‘Gram. People see the photos and either receive the message that it’s okay to be maskless all the time and to go anywhere or assume that people are being irresponsible. That “perfect” shot just isn’t worth it anymore.

I would love to see more people using their platforms to show reality a bit more. Wearing masks, explaining when it’s okay to take them off, and showing healthy ways they and others can support local businesses. All possible while still getting that Instagram look.
 

On another note, that photo of Christina dancing is beautiful and the best photo I’ve ever seen of her.

I've used these protocols since it came out first in 2009...it does work...stopping proliferation is key to flattening a virus. Given the intentional misinformation flying around at the beginning of this virus I'm not surprised they would hide something that helps...

Seriously. I'm surprised they don't go around taking selfies of them in their DCC branded, diamond studded Cowboys colored masks. As ambassadors for the brand, that would be a great PR move.

Soooo I’m not usually a dance workout person at all bc I’m serious uncoordinated, but thinking I might try a session or two of this with Jinelle. Live classes are $8 and Monday evening at 6:30 CST.  I just want to support her great idea I guess!  And her joy too.  She seems so happy.

Is Kelsey L. getting lip injections? She should do what makes her happy, but she certainly doesn't need them, or any other surgery for that matter.  She's arguably the most beautiful cheerleader they've had on the show.  I see so many Instagram posts referenced on here, I figured I'd start following some of the women myself.  Kelsey's husband, who seems like an extremely fun guy, is a professional disc golf player with 980k Instagram followers.  I didn't realize that was such a popular sport, so I checked out the PDGA website.  He's ranked 985 with career earnings of $793.  I'm not trying to mock or disparage him.  He and Kelsey seem very likable.  I was just surprised at what I found down the rabbit hole and thought I'd share.

She has been getting them for a bit now...and I agree she doesn't need them.  Lookswise...she really is one of the most stunning they've had.

When they first started dating, I think he had 1.2M followers...I remember being mind boggled by the whole thing.  They were smart and started transitioning into other venues, IIRC, to try to diversify for when his career slowed down.  Not sure what's going on with their youtube channel these days, since so much of it was around travel.  And that's been a few years back at this point!

Kelsey just makes me sad. She was STUNNING when she was a DCC and now she looks like pretty much all the other over botoxed Instagram girls who use too many filters and know all the "angles" to hold the camera phone. She used to be special and now is just common.

I feel the same about Kalyssa, who I thought was striking on the show but now looks...sadly like her career is sex, maybe a porn star, maybe a kept woman, but either way she looks like being "sexy" rather than beautiful is her goal in life. Might not be, hopefully not, but that's what a glipse at her Instagram makes me think.

She is was 19 when she made the squad in 2009, which puts her at 30 at least.

Kelsey, EXACTLY, I feel so sad when I look at her, she was just stunning now she looks like a washed up old housewives trying to compete with the younger girls which is funny because she's not old and was 1000% better looking than 99% of the population naturally!

Kalyssa same as Kelsey except in a porn star way for sure. Another one who was naturally so beautiful & seems to think the only value she adds is by wearing little to no clothing and that is not necessary...

This is pretty random, but does anyone know why we never "met" Lacey on the show? She never had one of those introductions that most girls have. They didn't give Amy one until her last or second to last year, but she at least had one. On the show they always talk about how great Lacey is and how she's the "standard", but we never really learned anything about her?

I agree with this (bold) 110% about Kelsey!  It makes me sad to think she felt that she needed to "fix" her looks.  Oh well...if it is what makes her happy then so be it.

I think it is more if it makes her money than if it makes her happy. She pimps a lot of products and services on her instagram that I am pretty sure she is getting paid for, so I think that is what makes her happy.

I’ve always wondered that too. I’ve seen some say she was an attention hog, but she was hardly ever featured on the show. Much to my chagrin.

The only memorable thing about Lacey and the only thing that we were "introduced" to Lacey in her rookie season was her kicks and the fact she kicked her nose and that was about the only memorable thing/time we were "introduced" to Lacey and yes I know thats not a proper introduction like most other rookies (for example) was given. But hey ho, thats how much of a blender Lacey was (however good and solid a dancer she is). But that to me says a freaking lot. To me that ssays well management did not think she would make it because she blended in with the group that she did not even stand out her rookie season to "deserve" that "introduction segment".

 

 

I also cannot believe noones mentioned Megan C's wedding tomorrow. Eurgh I hope she at least introduces a social distancing at her wedding if not (and I will give an advance warning now) I will give out another rant like Lacey's wedding ...... Yes I know the lockdown is not as "bad" (yes I know it is currently still bad because we are not in the complete clear but I know you guys know what I mean) as it was when it started. But I hope there is a proper social distancing but eurgh I wish she did what Danielle did and postphone it, but its her wedding. I also wonder how many people she has invited, looks like the party may not have been downsized but lets watch and see.

 

I will keep my mouth shut now before I kick off and just wait before I put myself in the wrong.

I didn't see that last part rofl I stopped following Danielle ages ago and didn't see its only postphoned to Nov, sothought it was now next year or something. Still hope her guests were able to rebook everything in flights etc, where was her wedding being held again?
