I am still #TeamLarissa all the way. She's my favorite on the show. She absolutely could make GREAT money. As could Anfisa. Look how well they've both "broken" the men that they are with! 

I'm trying to figure how much Leida is 'dumb' versus how much she is just 'obtuse.' I get that they kind of mean the same thing, but Leida may have small pockets of intelligence hidden by what a huge ass she's making of herself. Not sure whether I described that correctly. People have been giving Asuelu credit for possibly possessing more smarts than he manifests in his situation and I think it could be true for Leida as well. Although Anfisa leaves her in the dust compared to what we're seeing. 

How difficult is it to figure out Eric? His personality is on life support. He wants a warm body in his bed. When searching online, Leida may have aimed low to have more control, or because she wanted to feel less out of control herself. Control is an odd and kind of worthless thing to chase, though because to gain it, you kind of lose it yourself. Seems to be a secret most control freaks don't know, or they know it the way a junkie knows heroin can hurt you.

I think to be a really good dominatrix, you'd probably have to realize that the goal was not to have control of him or her feel that they'd lost control. Then you eat a cheeseburger in the break room and don't think about him again until he comes crawling back for more.

What was so eerie about that proposal was how calm he was about Larissa's distress, pretending not to notice how upsetting it was for her.  Colt is a practiced sadist for sure.

He's taking it out on Larissa because he doesn't have the nerve to take it out on Mommy and show her how he really feels about having been "adolescentalized" all these years.

He may be into whatever he's sure that the woman will not like. Like the joke about what the sadist said to the masochist who said, "Beat me, beat me." The sadist grinned and said, "No way."

Because his descriptions were explicit (the guy was trying to be unnecessarily ‘edgy’ and I’m not even going to repeat how he described his experience). And done in a very public manner (don’t get me wrong, I ALWAYS 100% believe the victim—but the way people talk about their experience sometimes makes me question their motives and it hurts other genuine victims).

An example would be the #MeToo movement. I was harassed by a male acting teacher, but now thanks to a few bad apples, now I can’t even tweet the hashtag without some woman hater (and sometimes man haters—when I tell them I was also abused as a child by a female teacher) tweeting negatively back at me.

Sometimes people “speak up” for the wrong reasons, even if their experiences are 100% true.

The man I described above was like that. Teh world isn’t black-and-white where victims  are saints. Victims can have flaws too.

I was abused too (by a female teacher but I didn’t really say anything because I was concerned it would hurt the LBGTQ community in Indonesia because there’s enough prejudice as there is).

Also, if I were going to be so explicit about it, I would’ve waited until all my chidren turned 18 (especially if the other parent of my child thinks that’s best too).

ETA: Sorry, I forgot this! In this particular case, I thought it was also telling that the mother of that child would object against it (as a good mother would naturally want their child to alert them if they were touched by an adult other than on their head/hands/arms—that’s how I would’ve taught a child). I always thought it was because she knew something (not necessarily that he was abusive himself—I’m not accusing him of such thing, or that he fetishes that stuff, but perhaps something about his character—maybe she didn’t like that she thought it was money grab and she thought why not just help for free). Your question as to why the co-parent objected to it is something that makes me wonder A LOT. It bothers me.

YES! I couldn't stand her initially but I freaking love her now.  I could watch a show just centered on  Coltie, Debbie and Larissa.
