I read over most of the recent comments regarding MM especially. Boy howdy, am I with all of you! MM's problem in my opinion (well, one of many problems) is that she is not capable of arguing a point without making it personal. That's a real shortcoming and that shrillness is a result of that. I used to joke with my son that when he rode his bike to school everyday up Central Avenue in Phoenix that he ought to stop at the  McCain compound and ask her if she wanted to come out and play. So glad he knew I was joking!

I watched with interest when Cindy McCain appeared as a guest host. I've noticed that Meghan rarely shrieks into discussions concerning opioid abuse. I was hoping that when Cindy was on that she would address her own addiction and recovery. Especially because of the really serious offenses she committed but because of her wealth she was able to walk free. One more reason that health care for addicts is so important for the general populace to have the opportunities that she was able  to take advantage of.

"GMA Day" is replacing The Chew.  It likely will air in the same timeslot in many markets, though local affiliates can often arrange their own schedule.

Yeah, I've been wondering too.  The Chew was (is) on at 1pm here, it seems funny to have a 3rd hour of GMA with a 4 hour gap.

Yeah, I've been wondering too.  The Chew was (is) on at 1pm here, it seems funny to have a 3rd hour of GMA with a 4 hour gap.

 It is not a consecutive third hour, like the Today show.  It will be on later in the afternoon. Seems more like the show they tried years ago with Lara Spencer and Josh Elliot, but at least that one was live.

This is will taped and I think that makes any show boring.

MM didn't like that Sara was the real deal, i.e., genuinely middle America, small town Iowa,  low/middle income parents admittedly voted for Drumpf, very family oriented, earned her chops throughout her climbing career,  well-liked among staff, beautiful, blonde, and thin, wife and mother, plus an effortlessly positive person with an easy humor, who could poke fun at others--even Whoopi-- and laugh at herself, and make thoughtful (not hard-hitting) remarks about any issue.  

MM was jealous and irked that Sara brought all that to the table.  

MM isn't worthy of cleaning Sara's shoes. MM'S  nastiness is a bitter pill.

I wrote to ABC this a.m. championing Ana and Tara.  Thanks for the link.

Sara actually knew the Trump voters Meghan is always talking about.  She grew up with them.  That had to really get  her goat.  That Sara wasn't the stereotype Meghan continues to push.  And yeah Sara was well liked.  No matter how much Meghan says she is bad ass and she doesn't care if people like her or not I think she does care.  It's human nature to want to be liked.  Oh wait, did I just call Meghan human?  Scratch that.  Never mind.

That's a great point, Stacey1014. I think you can tell that Meghan feels defensive (and maybe intellectually inferior) when Ana or Tara is on the show. I'm hoping either one of them will get the job. I'm no fan of Abby Huntsman, so I'm hoping she stays at Fox.

I completely despise Meghan on all levels but I honestly don't think she was jealous of Sara. I don't think it is possible for Meghan to be jealous of anyone. She thinks entirely too highly of herself.

I think she thought of Sara as a waste of time.  Sara wasn't the best at picking a side, except for gays. Meghan wants some one she can fight with and throw sand at.

Sounds to me like Meghan was trying to imply that some of those names on Trump's list, particularly James Comey, are at fault for being too political in their criticism of Trump. That's one of the reasons why Meghan is so frustrating.  I'm not saying that Socialism or Democratic Socialism is the way for this country to go, but you need to do better than just claim that Socialism is horrible by definition.  As Joy was trying to say, yes, you have Venezuela--which wasn't that "democratic," no matter who tells you otherwise--, but you also have Trump-favored Norway, Finland, and other Scandinavian countries that seem to make it work.  Most of us who graduated from preschool understand that you can't really have a conversation when one party is foaming at the mouth and shrieking incoherently.  Geez, even the Listen Linda kid could make a better-reasoned argument than Meghan.

I don't believe that Megan has that clout.  Whoopie and Joy do. Joy was not supposed to come back full time, she was supposed to be a contributor. Joy pulled rank due to her status as an original co-host and got herself a contract with a nice salary.  Whoopie was not very welcoming to Joy, at first. There was quite a bit of tension between the two and they got over it..

Meghan knows who Akira Kurosawa is?  This is the second time she has said Sasha Baron Cohen is the next Kurosawa.  I disagree with her but the fact she knows who he is puzzles me.  I would think her movie tastes are more low brow.

Nicolle Wallace used to do them...and Sunny did do the deals when Sara was on maternity leave.  Sara was the best at doing them, but sunny was decent as well.

In regards to MM and her future on the show...remember she didnt join the show until October/November so maybe her contract started at date of debut and not at the season end/start?  Remember Michelle Collins became a co host officially 3/4 of the way through the season and then she was phased out at the second half of the next season.
