WOACB is saying that Josiah has built his own home on property he owns and has a mortgage.  She says Josiah & Lauren signed the paperwork for a mortgage for a $573,750 30-year loan.  An actual mortgage with an actual mortgage company.  Of course, that's an IBLP no-no.  So they're apparently out of JB's control.  Good for him and Lauren.

I'd sure like to know what they might have been doing to qualify for that kind of mortgage, especially in Arkansas. I call BS on that until I see proof.

Since I first saw this post I have seen stories that the house is on the big house property, or on property Jim Bob owned but sold to them, and at the same time stories that Josiah and Lauren have “broken free”.

Yes, I think WOACB said that in her video, that it's property they purchased from JB.  I don't think she said where it's located, but I assumed it was not near the big house.  When I said he's out of JB's control, I was more referring to the mortgage.  That's verboten in IBLP.

Josiah and Lauren "breaking away" from JB would be even less of a break away than Jinger. It would just mean the are fully into whatever dwain swanson is into. Right now dwain is in the lot purchasing and house building game, with Joe selling the end product. Same game as the duggars

Qualifying?  Well he does work and earn an income. Then there is the rumored payoffs JB had to give each adult offspring after Derick and Jill sued him.  Owning the lot outright helped because it gives them instant equity. 

Accuracy  of amount? Probably pretty accurate, I live in a small village in central Illinois.  Nowhere near Chicago.   People purchased the almost 2 acre  lot next door and want to build a  house.  Quoted price: $215 a square foot.   A basement - an extra $80,000.    Building costs are crazy right now.  So they are going with a modular home and a crawl space - $320,000. Which I think is a ridiculous amount for a home of that type.   I’m not bad mouthing their choice- just sad that they couldn’t get the house they originally wanted

So, Lauren hopes to have 19 more pregnancies?  Gonna be tough when they get to X.  I cannot think of a girls' name starting with X and the only boys' name is Xavier which is probably a little too Catholic for their tastes.

As for E:  Edward, Ethan, Eugene (my dad's name, don't mock), Ellis, Elijah, Elliot, Emmett.  Plenty of better options than Ezra, IMO

I totally forgot that Lauren's middle name is Milagro which makes the hispanic Xiomara not such a reach for them.

My BFF named her last kid Ezra like 6-7 years ago (I can't remember how old he is now - she has a lot of kids). Lots of "there's nothing Better Than Ezra" jokes on her socials - though I doubt Josiah and Lauren are doing that. Lots of old-timey names are coming back into vogue, so I didn't bump on that.

The alphabetical theme is kinda hilarious though.

After growing up with uncles Wilhelm Edvard Ferdinand, George Richard Emil, Arthur Julius Gerhart, and  aunts Margaret Wilhelmia Louisa, Freda Caroline Ottilia, and a mother Ruth Magdalena Amanda, to name but a few, names are just names to me.  Name your kid whatever you want, I probably have someone in my family with a stranger name.  (With the exception of a baby I cared for in the NICU whose mother named her Meconium because she thought it sounded so pretty.)

I find names so fun and interesting. The differing opinions and the cycle of names is forever changing. I do like the name Ezra. I like it a lot more than Henry, George or Fred.

Some names I dislike just because, some because of who they remind me of and some because I find them on the silly side, like Neveah, which I'm guessing will be Nuri's next child's name. But yea, Heistheway is a definite winner of ridiculousness.
