Jigsaw of the Saw movies is coming to Days? That sounds about right. Is he gonna strap us down, tape our eyelids open and disable our ff, mute and off buttons while watching Days to teach us the value of life?

 

I'm glad the rape is not gonna be some prolonged protracted secret.

So I caught the scene with Chad and Stefano today. I miss JM :-(

Anybody have any idea if Stefano will appear with Andre? I'd like to see that one!

 

Haven't seen anything indicating that, but tomorrow Caroline, Hope, Roman, Marlena, John, Victor, and Kate gather at the pub to celebrate the death of Stefano DiMera.  So assuming/hoping there will be flashbacks.

MM can take his special brand of perv over to GH. Having seen JS as EJ and JJ as Lucky, I don't think he is a good match for either role. EJ's big asset were his looks and charm, Lucky has a general Everyman likability and MM lacks all IMO. He plays creep well, but that also means another creep on canvass, and his behind the scene issues. Taking him on is bound to be a losing proposition (think Robert Kelker Kelly. Days gave him a shot after his AW debacle and came to regret it). Y&R let him go because of him, not because they didn't like his portrayal as Adam. His leaving was a loss for them at the time, but they took the hit because something had to be done.

But maybe

he just puts her into a coma.  Not my first choice but at least that yap of hers would be shut.  Then Chad could fall in love with a human female and discover there really was no future with Muskrat Love.   If they did go the coma route, I bet Chad could save a few bucks and just use Abigail as a coffee table.

I just don't think she will be killed off. Me thinks, she will get treatment like DH ans KA got when they first left to do movies and TV back in the 80s.

Ben will probably kidnap her again and put her in a barn somewhere. Then if Mansi's acting career off Days flops, Abifail will just have a microchip in her head or be an amnesiac. I'm not even going to get too excited even though it's so hard... I can't wait for BEN'S BBQ return

Yeah, is it sad that I'm so murdered-out by this show that I don't want her killed? Yeah, that's sad. Way sad. She should have been the only victim, repeatedly disposed of.

Mostly I just want Sami, Nicole, Kate and Caroline to stand in a circle around her and slap! slap! slap! slap! her clockwise until there's no smug left.

Could take a month. Maybe three.

Is it ever going to come out that Stefano and Andre were behind Aiden's murder attempt on Hope?  Will Aiden's son Chase learn that he was under a death sentence unless his father killed Hope?  Now that Stefano is dead and Andre has been falsely jailed for his father's murder (divine retribution) can the canvas be scrubbed and all the despicable things attributed to the DiMera family finally come to light and be accounted for?

 

How much longer can we expect to have the Andre character soiling the poor people of Salem, Indiana? We need a clean and thorough break from the DiMera family once and for all. Yesterday went a long way but the Aiden business still needs to come to light ------   PLEASE.

I've been saying for months it needs to come out or the writers are waiting to drop that bomb when we least except it. But Someone said on a Facebook group said it was mentioned. Roman investigated behind Aiden wanted her dead and Hope didn't seem bothered by it.

I think if it's mentioned again, Chase will know that his new buddy Andre help get his daddy killed. That might be kind of cool if Chase losses it since he has no idea his dad was Dimera connected.

When was this scene?? I think it would have been stated more clearly as one of Hope's reasons for killing Stefano if she had learned the truth about Aiden ...

Reports suggest that both Chandler Massey and Freddie Smith are back at the NBC studios taping upcoming scenes for 'Days Of Our Lives'. If this is indeed true, they won't appear until later this year since the series tape approximately six months in advance. Last year Will Horton, a legacy character on the American serial was killed off, he was played by Guy Wilson at the time. Before Guy Wilson took over the role Emmy winner Chandler Massey played the character of Will but after a few years in the role he chose to leave the show. Could DAYS have somehow rehired the popular actor and his former co-star Freddie Smith to reprise the love story of Will and Sonny. It seems so.

I know that Freddie is back. Fact.

It's my understanding that Chandler is not. But hopefully I'm wrong. 

I'd take Will back in any form...but Chandler would be icing on the cake.

This reminds me of that scene in the movie Airplane where everyone gets in line to shake, slap, etc the hysterical woman.

I'm looking forward to this story!  It's great when things tie together in interesting, unexpected ways.  Plus, John should know his father is; bonus points if he gets at least some of his memories back.

That's a very unflattering picture of KM. Are they intentionally trying to make her look bad?

 

 

EW.com recently reported that Tobin Bell would be playing John’s father for a five-episode arc. “Days of Our Lives” spoilers tease that Bell’s character will be named Yo Ling and his first air date will be on the next week’s Friday episode, March 11.

 

Yo Ling? Neither DH nor Tobin Bell look the least bit Asian. 

 

Of course Sparkle randomly gets kidnapped along with John. It's obvious that the writers don't know what to do with character.

 

Ugh if Chad and that thing get married I'm going to vomit.

I didn't think this story could get any worse but I was wrong.  So the writers are going to add torture to Joey's resume of teen smotherer and dumbass drunk, and make Theo a party to it?  All of these teens are a danger to society.

Exactly my thoughts, too. Joey's already a murderer, you'd think he'd try to keep his nose clean but no ... he has to go and kidnap his cousin's rapist and rough him up. And the whole group of teens - save gay Henry - decide to form a kangaroo court instead of, you know, turning Chase in to the cops. You know - the same police department which include Ciara's mother, brother and uncle?

 

Lucas and Adreinne discuss their future? What future? We hardly see them.

Lucas is the only character on canvas right now with the last name Horton (I don't count his granddaughter Ari as she isn't a character in her own right, yet) - so of course he languishes off screen for huge swathes of time. There could have been a good story with Adrienne testing positive for the BRCA1 gene, perhaps a little grim at the outset but it could ultimately have been uplifting. Instead the story - and the pairing - was given the short shrift while despair of far greater magnitude - and without respite - enveloped the show. Days of Our Lives, Josh Griffith-style.

I don't think they intend to make John or his father Asian. From what I understand, they intend to stick to John's latest parentage - Tim and Maude Robicheaux from Baton Rouge - where Tim was supposedly killed in the Korean War, but the twist is that he actually deserted and adopted a Korean name.

 

I don't think it's so much that Josh Griffith doesn't know what to do with the character of Paul, as him being unwilling to write a gay character. So he throws the barest crumbs - look, Paul has a love life! (The sleazy photographer who appeared in ONE episode and takes Paul on an offscreen date) Look, we have another gay character! (Teen Henry who we never really get to know, appears for about a hot minute, just to be called  a homophobic slur, and whose scene ends randomly with him running into Paul)

 

Honestly, it's more offensive that he even thinks this appeals to anyone. Just drop both characters already.

I agree this is too much now for Joey. From my perspective,if I found out a close friend of mine was raped I would gladly take the guy who did it, tie him up and beat the shit out of him..but in terms of how this is playing out on the heels of Joey killing Ava, meh. Ridiculous.  And when Hope finds out, I wouldnt be shocked to see her committing another crime.

Ciara is Joey's cousin, not his friend. That's why they created pothead, because the only two teen girls on the show are both Joey's cousins. Aside from this, yes to everything you said. It's clear that Joey is going to be irredeemable if violence is his only response to things in his life. I think when this is over, the character of Joey needs to be offscreen. Let him go to jail for his crimes and come back with a different actor in a few years. No offense to JL, but I don't think I can ever look at him in the role without remembering his criminal acts.

JL has regressed with playing Joey. I thought he was the best of the bunch but after Joey kills Ava JL just can't emote the seriousness of it all with any believability. The kids are a mess and bad casting with all of them.

Yes to both of these. I too can separate character from actor. I love MA as Jack but remember fully what Jack did to Kayla. There is something in the portrayal that says the actor won't be able to sell a redemption storyline because he lacks the nuance needed to successfully convey transition. MA did it, SN did it, AZ did it, etc., etc. JL almost seems like a caricature since the Ava story started. It could be he is rough around the edges still, could be poor writing and directing, or it could be that Joey's actions have no internal logic to the actor, and he is having trouble convincing playing what makes no intrinsic sense to him.

Either way the Ava gets murdered story is a bust for the simple fact that it should have been done in the classic Who-Done-It mode: Everyone from Steve, Kayla, Joey and pretty much anyone else subjected to her threatening to do her in shortly before the deed takes place (but this is Days and everything happens in a bubble, so she didn't interact with anyone else). Since John and Hope knew and both have a negative history and Hope is in the killing game now, they could have threatened Ava on Steve and Kayla's behalf. Roman could have been more than just a hypocritical fool by threatening Ava on behalf of his already struggling with Bo and Taniel's deaths sister. Heck Caroline could have stopped having Kiriakis visions long enough to find out from loose-lipped Joey and threaten Ava on behalf of her daughter and dead husband. We should have gotten suspicious actions and unexplained absences or time discrepancies from all the suspects; everyone conveniently dressed in black, so that when the person in black kills her, we have a legitimate question. Heck have Steve arrive (returning to the scene of the crime to recover something perhaps?), and see either Kayla or Joey fleeing the scene, leaving us to wonder if she/he committed the crime or came across the body and fled, and making Steve's confession both have stakes and questions. Is he simply covering for a loved one, or confessing to what he actually did because his need to protect Kayla or Joey has now been amplified. We have those mysterious people Ava was meeting with to further her schemes to destroy Kayla, first with the leukemia claim, then the attempted murder claim, did she use her mob ties to connect with these people? Did she blackmail someone into helping her, thereby giving the show the obligatory out when revealing the murderer. After all, nutso must have left a trail of enemies ten miles long, perhaps they seized the opportunity to kill her when all fingers would point to the Brady's and their circle of friends.
