Constant contact with Andrei aside, Elizabeth's phone being taken away made me livid. Who the hell are these assholes to be taking away someone's property? Perhaps it's the only child in me speaking, but I would have called their bluff and left right then and there. I thought that WAS what she was doing when she dragged her suitcase into her room. It was amusing to me as an only child, again, that they forgot their spat minutes later. I'll never understand that dynamic.

Ditto! I woulda been on my way home in a taxi pronto. They probably took away her wallet, too, so I honestly would have had the front desk call someone to take me home.

Is it just me or did that fertility doctor sound a little over dramatic about Aike’s dwindling supply of quality eggs?

I got preggers accidentally at 49, so that is quite overwrought.

Having said all that, Elizabeth really shouldn't have gone on the trip, because clearly laying out her expectations in advance did fuck all. Apropos of nothing, her hair looked really nice curly.

If there is a hell, Molly's voice is being piped through the loudspeakers 24/7.

I have siblings and they would never do what Libby’s sisters did to her. They may take my phone to send a video and joke around, however knowing the circumstances they wouldn’t do something malicious like her sisters did.

These girls need to learn that Bachelorette parties are a fairly new tradition, I am in my 40s and when I was growing up and men had bachelor parties and women had showers. Libby says he is traditional, so I don’t get the need for the sisters to emphasize a bachelorette party and never once mention a shower.

I think it's TLC just finding more screen time for nice bodies on TV.   The girls have obviously invested in brazilian blowouts and crop tops so they can get some innocuous screen time by just taking the "is my sister going to be controlled by Andreeiiii?" storyline to some absurd fake level.

I'm surprised they didn't craft some conflict with Andreeiii going after the unmarried sister.

Does this show have free crayons and eyebrow stencils in the makeup room for the participants to play with?   Why do so many of these women have these stupid drawn on cartoon eyebrows?  I couldn't even concentrate on David's daughter with her snooki makeup yapping at Annie, whose eyebrows were shedding powder LOL.

Are we 100% sure that wasn't actually David in a wig and eyeliner?

The kicker for me was the voiceover..."I just got home from work". What the everloving HELL?

  • Love 8

I echo the annoyance at Evelyn being the voice of reason re: the sex talk.  Clearly, they were always going to be living in Clearmont next to her parents.  She needs to be around her momma.

David Poor's daughter is nasty; 100 points to the poster that likened her to Snooki.  Yeah, David's an asshole and terrible, but her beef is with him, not Annie.  She clearly took some pleasure in mouthing off to Annie and thinking she was going to cause issues.  Like father, like daughter.  I feel particularly bad for Jacob b/c he seems like a kid who just wishes his father was a better man.

Elizabeths' sisters and friends were really Tampa trashy (I say this as a Floridian).  Her sisters are bitchy and are assholes.  No matter her experience, Andrei was always going to be mad at her b/c she went and now he has to punish her.  I can't like Andrei (even though he's the least of the terrible on this show) because of his level of innate misogyny.

I can't with Aika and Josh.  They both have mean streaks, and seem like selfish, destructive people.

Nicole and Azan - Yo...these two.   Azan clearly adores May (not on a "he should be her daddy" level), but he CANNOT STAND Nicole.  I've never seen him happier than when he was putting the luggage in the car.  LOL.  Azan's aunt seems like a sweet lady.

I conceived at 38 without even trying.  The doctor is trying to scare then to sell IVF.  But Josh, who can't afford the kids he already has, probably doesn't make in a year what she charges for IVF.

Molly - that red outfit with an exposed white bra band in the back, and wild red leggings?

Her earrings at the restaurant looked like Kensley might have made them for Mother's Day in some kids' craft class. I really wanted to smack that stoned smirk off of Luis's stupid face. I hope she's really sending him packing. Edited to add: Luis said he wished he was home in the DR, on a beach with A LOT OF MONEY, so it's obvious to me why he came to the US.

Best scene of this episode: Snooki throwing water on Daddy Poor. It filled my heart with glee.

Not that it matters, but I wonder if David's kids have the same mom? Snooki looks like her dad, but his son didn't look anything like him or his sister. I know that can happen when people have the same parents (obviously), but I was just curious.

I wondered about that, too, but then Ashley said something about "our mother" so I figured it was the same woman.

I suspect that's where I'm headed because I thought the scenes with Luis were hilarious.   Having shed all pretense of giving a shit, he was free to give Molly exactly what she deserves for picking up a bartender 15 years her junior in the Dominican Republic and bringing him back to the States like a souvenir to be her indentured servant.   The Exorcist chat was priceless.   Luis is crazy like a fox.   I loved it when Molly asked "will you be going home before or after the wedding?," and Luis smiles and says "Yes."

All Molly cares about is having a live-in babysitter and fuck toy.   Molly couldn't even go out to dinner with him without trying to turn it into a positive reinforcement conditioning session.  "Maybe we can do fun things like this with the girls?   Have more fun with the girls.   Go to the park with the girls."   She has zero empathy for the fact that Luis is 25, freshly ripped from a life of freewheeling independence, and stranded far from home.    And that maybe the last thing on his mind is a lifetime of babysitting.

Nope, no tears for Molly.   I think she's a calculating drama queen.   Did she purposely remove all her makeup to look more pathetic before instructing the ass-cam to follow her up the stairs?

(During the Aika segment I amused myself by superimposing Molly on the fertility specialist: "The problem is your AIGS!")

Worse character of the night:  David Poor.

That selfish, drunken, parasitic bastard.   He left his kids behind, not giving a rat's ass about their lives, then reappears a few years later expecting the same neglected kids to be jazzed about the new developments in HIS life.   Fucking narcissist.

Second worst: Aika, for making Josh feel like a eunuch.   All the taunting, abusive comments about his "manhood."   Does anyone doubt she'd have a shit fit if Josh suggested she's less of a woman because she's ten eggs short of a dozen?

Omg this eas such a funny post. I bolded the gems. Is there anyone not howling with laughter?!

Molly said Luis is Pentecostal. How common is that in the DR? I was definitely leaning Catholic on him.

The Pentecostals have been very successful in converting Hispanic Catholics here in Chicago. I imagine they're doing it in the DR too. (out of 14 kids in my husband's family, only he and one sister are still Catholic.)

New to this show. I'm usually over on the teen mom boards but I finally broke down and decided to watch this. The whole time I'm watching it, I'm thinking to myself, why Amanda? lol

I think I may be in the minority here, but the whole time Bootleg Snooki (love that nickname!) was bitching her dad out, I was cheering her on and when she threw that water on him, I laughed out loud. Was it trashy how she acted? Of course! But look who raised her. David Poor doesn't deserve any better treatment. He's scum, and I felt so bad for his son sitting there with that terribly sad look on his face when David announced he was marrying this chick. I'm also glad she didn't mince words with Annie and let her know exactly the man her father is. She deserves to know the truth before she marries him. I didn't like how gleeful and mean Ashley was though. I know she was lashing out because she was hurt but she also comes off as a shady bitch. She could've told Annie all of those truth bombs in a gentler way. My heart did go out to Annie then.

I don't know much about Aika and Josh so no comments on them.

Azzan and Nicole: I don't know that Azzan will be able to get a visa that easily. He's absolutely right to be concerned with Trump in office and his Muslim bans. What he doesn't understand is if he doesn't get the visa, it'll be a blessing in disguise. Those two should never happen.

David Spain and Evelyn annoy me so much. I don't know why but I can barely stand to watch them. She annoys me the worst. I may have to ff their portions from now on.

Libby and Andrei (sp?), well, I'm still not sure what to think of them. Hate her sisters though, hate them. They and women like them are why some foreigners have the idea that all American women are rich trashy bitches. I don't want to see their stupid faces on my screen anymore. And I'm not sure Andrei is that bad of a guy. I'd have to see more to see if he's really that controlling or just has conservative values. I do love that he didn't have a problem when her dad said he wouldn't pay for the wedding or help them financially. He was just like, no problem, I'm fine on my own.

Oh crap, I forgot about Luis and Molly. I was so happy to see her finally seeming to get it. If she marries him, then I agree that she deserves what she gets. She is not putting her children first of she goes through with it. And I'm not a violent person, but I swear, I wanted to throat punch Luis when he was smirking at Molly, who was obviously very distraught. Molly, pack his bags and let him find his own way back to the DR. He's a slimy sob!

The Doctor also explained it very incorrectly, most women have enough eggs at Aikas age, you are born with all of your eggs and its usually around 2,000,000 eggs. After teen years you end up with about 400,000 eggs during  really fertile years.  By the time you are 38, women have around 25,000+ and yes those eggs are older but.....Aika isn't too old yet. She still has enough eggs.

ITA that the doctor was ridiculous and incorrect.  She said a woman of Aika's age is losing "thousands of eggs per day".  Thousands must be at a minimum 2,000 per day, so if a woman has said 25,000 eggs at 38, she's clean out of them in 12.5 days.  That is just bad info from the doctor or she's shit at math, either way not someone to be trusted with important decisions.  Totally in it for taking IVF money where not needed.

Fun fact, Aika, a  man who has had a vasectomy is no less a man, no damage to manhood. I should know, my husband had one about 15 years ago.

Well, maybe Aika was taught about vasectomies by Lydia, the idiot from RHOOC, who spent last season confusing vasectomies with castrations. LOL!

I'm kinda on Ashley's side, though her rage should be 100% directed at dead beat David.   I mean, the whole abandonment of the family (which, according to her, started well before the divorce) AND being saddled with looking like him and having his same build?  Sure, the womanly hips are more apropos on her, but damn, that's a lot to be saddled with.

I don't buy the Libby/sisters/Andrei storyline one bit.  It all reads as fake, fake, fakey fake.

  • Love 12

I am so afraid that Molly's pride is stronger than her love for her kids...and herself & she ends up marrying that creepy, crazy guy.  She would have to admit to her kids and to her dad that they were right.

Her kids were downstairs while this argument was going on...I'm sure they were standing at the bottom of the stairs cheering their mom on.

WTF brought up all of that religious talk about no bibles, owls, candles, etc? It was like the demons he talked about had possessed him.  When she brought up porn she found on his phone & the strip clubs, all he said was "I like that". The way he was talking and acting was actually scary.

I despise "Flappy Lip's" sisters! How old are they that they still need to go clubbing? I'm still trying to see this "Fun Libby" that they're all going to miss so much. They were trying to act so innocent but it was so obvious they did all of that to get a rise. Why else would they send him a message saying they were taking her phone & sign off with 'see you later, sucker'.

I've not seen Azin smile as much as he did when Nicole walked thru that gate...to leave Morocco.

Dumpy DoughBoy David...no words except "Run Anna Run!".

  • Love 9

That argument between Luis and Molly was really something. His plan worked and you could see the satisfaction in his face when Molly stormed out of the room. She really lost it. I think Luis is actually smarter than he lets on.

I hated Elizabeth's sisters so much that I ended up skipping through all of her segments. They need to grow up. Elizabeth having to get her outfits approved by Andrei was bullshit.

For someone who so desperately longs to have children and has nothing medically wrong with her, you would think that Aika would've had one in her 20s or early 30s. But I agree that the doctor was being over-the-top with her.

The preview- I think long sleeve wedding dresses are pretty, but that neckline is a no. Also I think strapless would suit Evelyn better.

I don't blame Ashley for speaking her peace.

I had the same kind of father. Except mine worked and didn't need anyone to support him. Anyway, five kids with different women and then raised someone else's kids while ignoring his own.  I had a conversation with him about it and all he did was shrug his shoulders.

I hope she feels better letting that out but it will change nothing.

I don't feel bad for Annie. She needed to hear that.

David wanted his kids there as props. He had no interest in their pain, their feelings, or working anything out with them.

Ashely probably spoke up because she figured for once, he had to listen to her.

David couldn't be the least bit patient or kind to diffuse her anger, either. He just got pissed off because she wasn't complying. He probably expected that because his kids were on camera, they would be polite and make him look good.

For Ashley, the intensity of her hurt was more important than what the world thought of her. She made that abundantly clear.

Yeah, I agree, despite her extreme crassness, she probably has every right to be upset with her father.

I didnt feel one bit sorry for Annie. What were her expectations ? The whole situation between her and David is gross and very clear she is a user (he is using her too, as a maid and sex package). A 24 year old woman marrying 48 year old man for a green card who has kids older than her, who demanded thousands and thousands of dollars from a man who clearly doesnt help the family the kids he already has, including a teenage son ... she knows they all see through her and will not have an ounce of respect for her. This isnt really about American culture vs Thai culture. I dont imagine there is an equivalent in Thai culture to having your older dad marrying a very young woman from an impoverished country to give her a green card, so Annie cant really compare. (Or if there is, probably not in her village).

I think there is an undercurrent of something else going on with Andrei. I think where he is from women who dance at clubs and drink are fair game, whether they want to be or not. I could be wrong but in Andrei's line of work he has likely seen things that he does not wish for Libby to experience. Not in any way saying that this line of thinking is okay but It might be the reality.

No, it’s not that they are fair game. Rape is relatively rare in that part of the world though sexual harassment is common in the workplace.

Didn’t she say her brother was 14 when he left? The son specifically said he had no real relationship with his dad and that he’s been in and out of his life.

I can understand why the son would be mad. You can see in his demeanor that he didn’t seemed to care about seeing David. He probably fought for his dads attention for so long and finally said fuck it when David left. I don’t blame him

If having children was so important to Aika why the hell did she wait till she's 36 to find someone to marry? She acts like she's never heard of a woman's biological clock before. What the hell was she doing in her twenties? There wasn't a single man in the Philippines (or anywhere else) that wasn't a suitable mate?

I love how he acts like she is "blaming him" for him not being able to get her pregnant. Dude, you're sterile! It IS your "fault." You are unable to impregnate her. I don't see how this simple fact is somehow blaming him for something. Also, if she wanted to get pregnant maybe that's something that should have been discussed BEFORE you picked up your entire life and hitched your wagon to a sterile loser, Aika.
