It seems safe to assume that no matter how wonderful Bethenny's life is on the outside, her inner rage and torment will always blind her to her blessings.  I share the same affliction, which is likely why there's still a tiny place in my heart for her.  

 

It's hard to tell if LuAnn is truly an optimistic person and takes life as it comes, or she enjoys living a certain kind of fiction.  It doesn't sound like Tom is a faithful, romantic partner, though.  Maybe the sex is just that good?

It's frightening how reminiscent of an addict Bethenny is behaving at this point with her perennial victimhood, aggrievement, and Kafkaesque relationship with the concept of accountability or, well, anything resembling basic logic.

It's "this house" that made her blackout, not whatever alcohol she poured into her gullet! 

So, too, was it the house that made her shriek last year like a hyena on acid "you are a slut," "you fuck everybody," and "whore!" Not her own sick derangement.

At the same time, she screamed those misogynistic epithets at and made a prolonged, coordinated effort to humiliate LuAnn on national television because her heart of gold and magnanimous conscience couldn't let her make the same mistakes that Bethenny herself made.

Because Bethenny "went with her heart/gut/instincts/whatever" and married Jason. Even though she has said she actually didn't really want to marry Jason/though it was a bad idea/knew she was making a mistake even prior the wedding.

Was it Jason, their TriBeCa property, or her SoHo apartment that made her make racially charged remarks about Jules last year? Did the set or Andy make her declare Jules a bad Jew? Did the venue where she declared herself "an honorary black woman" because she's "loud" make her do that, too?

It's eerie how foundationally similar she is in many ways to Kim Richards.

They're BOTH grown ass adults who BOTH created the nasty situation they are in, there are no "winners" and the only "loser" in this mess is their daughter who was born into the mess that BOTH of them have caused.

OMG.  The dirt on Jason.  He always gave me skeevy vibes first on RHONY and then on BEA. He never really came off as sincere in all of his actions towards Bethenny and he was always trying to show just what he did for her company. He was laying the foundation for the contentious divorce.

I scared my dog because I started laughing so hard. It was a humorous and succinct summary of exactly why only Dorinda was invited to the wedding!  LOL.

Ramona was so loaded during the dinner. It was uncomfortable to watch. I was happy to hear Dorinda comment on her rudeness in her talking head but I wish she would have called her out on it at the dinner. It won't change Ramona but it would make for a great fight!

You are not alone! Bethenny is one of my favorites as well. I find that she says a lot of what I am thinking. Really this franchise is the one where I do not really mind any of the ladies. They all have their good moments and bad, so my like/dislike of them varies from episode to episode or scene to scene. It is actually kind of nice.

I get that Bethenny is! Good lord, is she on the same meds as Ramona.( I think they are both hyped up on something, then they drink) They both sounded deranged, emotional, did I mention deranged? How many times did Bethenny say the word dick? It sounds to me like Dennis isn't doing it for her. She runs off and fake cries, then goes overboard about Lu and Tom, but she can't stop herself talking over and over about Ramona. She's the most entertaining for me and she calls them all on their bullshit. She was pretty melodramatic tonight and that typically isn't her style. 

Luann was probably trying to help but it doesn't work when you remind someone who is in distress that they have so much going for them.  We don't know the extent of Bethany's ex husband's harassment but it must be bad if Bethany is having such an extreme reaction.  If he is tormenting her relentlessly, that's tough to take and can easily break someone.  And she's never been one to exaggerate or lie, so I believe it must be bad.  I feel bad for her.

Beth is vague because she's not allowed to give details. She'll tell us how miserable she is, how horrible the situation is, how sorry she is that she got into such a miserable marriage, but it's Carole who is more specific, telling us Jason writes mean emails, harasses the new boyfriend, won't answer the phone, calls her Bernadette, etc.

Carole gets all these tidbits from Beth (who else?) and blabs for her. Of course Beth shares.

Tamara Tattles alluded to there being something in Dorinda's house that was damaged and that it was Sonja's fault.

I don't really think she badmouths him that bad though. She will say she is in a bad situation but she never really gives specifics or details. 

I think people also need to remember that the whole Hoppy situation was escalating while this season of RHONY was filming. The incident at the school happened at the end of January which resulted in Bethenny getting a temporary restraining order against Hoppy that doesn't expire until the end of July. For a judge to grant that (and one for such an extended amount of time), there had to be a ton of evidence to support it. You can't just get one because you don't like your ex. I think that explains a lot of what we are seeing with Bethenny right now. Hoppy was escalating, he was sending hostile emails to both Bethenny and Dennis, and it resulted in Bethenny being overly emotional at times.

Agreed that Dorinda is a wonderful host, she always puts out so much food that I want to eat! I can't believe they started a real fire in a decorative fireplace. Dorinda's expression was exactly what mine would've been in that situation, like I can't believe I know these idiots.

Ramona is lost in her new life. She's always been hopped up on Pinot, but she seems to have crossed a sad line in her drunkeness. I could smell her wine breath through the tv before Bethenny even mentioned it.

I like Bethenny's run -down on the lack of wedding invites. She said Ramona was running a full on campaign which I thought was funny. 

Tinsley fits in with these ladies better than Jules did. I don't mind watching her, she's not interesting, but she's not boring either.
