Except only two of them were ostensibly virgins when they married him. That's why I was confused about his whole "gift" speech. Were Robyn and Jenelle somehow able to get their "gifts" back from the first husbands before marrying Kody?

Well according to some of those Purity Groups you can get a "2nd Virginity" if you pray hard enough, not that it makes you any more or less "pure". Technically if you love each other then the "physical gift of your love together" should be enough to make a special wedding night. (that is if you aren't too exhausted, emotionally drained, too unfamiliar with each other/sex if you are both virgins etc seriously I'm not married but it seems wedding nights can be a big let down sometimes. )

Having gone some pages back in that Tumblr it does look like it might be Mariah's and if that is the case then I have to be a bit shocked that she put those pics up, although I know she had been expressing similar sentiments on twitter as well. Who ever is running that at the moment definitely enjoys naked women and is entirely open about it. Speaking as a Bi person I don't feel that is "simply" a straight ally blog. If it really is her she probably is out to the family and if that is the case then good for her. They'll probably want to use it as the next hook to get renewed and I wonder if that factors into Meri and Mariah's relationship has portrayed on the show at all. Again only speculation and at any rate staying at college and getting a physician's assistant post can only be a good thing id that is what she is still aiming for.

I am ashamed to admit it, but I do understand Janelle wanting to fish.   I am the least outdoors person I can think of.  I hate hiking, I would never consider camping, I do outside to sit on a beach under a cabana with a drink in my hand, or putter in the garden.   So my friends and family cannot understand or believe my absolute obsessive  love of fly fishing!   I go every year to the Gallitin for two weeks of being in my waders, my fly fishing gear, and yes, I get out to the river by 6 - but I stay for hours, if not all day.   During the rest of the year I sneak off to other rivers when I can, but if you have an opportunity to fish the Gallitin - do it.    It is heaven.

It completely surprised me that Janelle enjoys fishing. And fly fishing is totes makes people "outdoorsy", most places I know the water is like 45 degrees!

I lived in Yellowstone and there, too, are destination fishing spots.  That whole part of the country has good fishing. Best thing about YNP were the employee fish bakes (the aroma also invited the area's grizzly bears to attend....).

I've searched and searched to quote a post, but I can't find it.  The gist was Meri was a terrible person for trying to claim Logan as her own.   The original four have all said that Logan was the first baby (for a year, I think), and he was "everyone's" baby.  He is clearly adored by all of his original four parents.  Meri has gone to his and Hunter's events, and you can see the pride and love she has for them.  The first 6-7 kids are very tight with the first three wives.  I loved watching Hunter's interaction with Christine's mom.  She teased him about something, and he responded with a big grin, "Oh you know it grandma!".  And I think Maddie's and Logan's clear affection for Meri disprove that Meri tortured Janelle for years.  I don't see either of them being loving toward someone who made their mom's life hell.  Like Christine, Meri genuinely loves kids, and loves spending time with them.  You can see it in the oldest and the youngest kids.  Janelle doesn't interact much with kids other than hers, and I think she's one of those who aren't into kids, but loves her own.  And Janelle hasn't shown any jealousy or possessiveness with her children, and I doubt she cared much when they were little.  She briefly tried to be possessive of Maddie during the wedding prep, but she lost interest and gave up much of her responsibilities.  And with the tension between Meri and Janelle, I appreciate that Maddie still wants Meri present during all of her wedding planning.  Robyn has tried to hone in on the special affection of the first batch of kids, but they're not interested.

There's a quick and easy way to determine if a couple has had pre-marital sex.  When they have, they typically don't indulge on their wedding night.  They're too tired, and they're not "jonesing" for each other.  The exception - a wedding I was a bridesmaid in at the Paris Hotel in LV.  There was a wedding, then about a 1-2 hour lapse before the dinner.  The bride and groom went to their suite to indulge, and the rest of us wasted time in the casino.  I hate LV, so I didn't enjoy blowing my money on gambling.  I dropped a quick $20 on the slots, and I was over it.

So jealous.  I know that 45 degree water - and even though it's sooooo cold I manage to spend hours in that water to catch that elusive big fish.   After I fish for two weeks, I meet my SIL in Yellowstone to go wolf spotting and photography for another week.   I just love it there.   I say this as you are getting winter and cold, and I'm complaining because I had to put on a jacket today!

Yellowstone is the first park I ever worked, for two years. I'd spend the rest of my days in YNP if my hubby didn't hate winter so much. I'm down with snowshoeing and skiing and the occasional trip to Jackson for goods (we were Grant Village).

Can't wait to get outta Vegas (not an attack on this city,  this country girl hates cities in general).

400 people, really?   Where in hell, in December, are you having a wedding - outside, for 400 people.  This will be pared down to 100 at the most, at some local place in St. George, inside, and then off to somewhere Mykelti & FT think it's warm.   Wow.

I couldn't get over Janelle not wanting Mykelti to interfere, in any way, shape or form, even months later, with Madison's wedding.   Seems like she wanted enough time to go by so she can check out of any wedding preps.  No payback to Christine for anything she did to help with Madison's wedding.    This December wedding is going to be put together with glue & paste - shabby, no destination, just local, cheap and second hand.  But, no matter how tacky the wedding, Mykelti will be happy with them paying for a honeymoon.  (Hey she settled for a granola bar at her proposal, so what would she accept as a honeymoon - maybe a rock building exercise with Nancy.)

Where is that @notnowimbusy ? I'm too tired & lazy to google at the moment lol.  My son likes fishing and recently took up fly fishing and loves it - so much that he went fly fishing to Montana for his honeymoon in October( don't think it was the best fishing time but he enjoyed that part of the country and hopes to move there one day from the northeast )  I can picture Janelle liking fishing cuz she can go off alone and not have to interact with the other wives lol her statement at the show intro makes me LAUGH every week . These women can't stand each other and they seem to hate Kodi too. The kids are prolly fun tho

Tony said "Where's the geeshcake?"  Was he drooling while he said it?

He looks more like a girl this episode.

Tony is a very bizarre looking dude. I don't want to bully but what is mykelti thinking ? The lame proposal, the gut at 20 , the tiny teeth and giant bug eyes ( he sorta looks almost like an adult zika baby lol ) IMO,  She's rushing to get away from Grody.

Do most of the kids say No Way to polygamy?  Cuz after watching how miserable all their parents are they've gotta question it all

Yep, the Gallatin is in Montana (it's one of the three rivers that make up the Missouri headwaters, along with the Madison and the Jefferson).

I've never tried fly fishing, mostly since I view fishing as a chance to play around in the water more than a chance to catch fish.

I feel a little sorry for Janelle; I suspect she's a lot like me.  I never wanted kids and never had any, because I live in a culture that allows me that freedom.  Janelle doesn't, so I figure she does her best--and she's lucky that Christine loves kids and could take care of hers.  It's probably been answered somewhere, but I wonder if the kids other than Mariah and Robyn's view themselves as one big family, since they were kinda all raised by Christine.

I agree.  And the fact that when something comes up, and emotions come out of her...her reaction is quite fascinating.  It's like she doesn't even know what is happening to her.  It's as if she has suppressed emotion as a defense mechanism for all these years and just can't handle them when they do surface.

With all due respect, how do you know whether people are having sex on their wedding nights?

Unfortunately, they talk about it.  Believe me, I'm not interrogating them.  I'm often called a prude, and I would never share this info with others.   Some people are very open about these things.  At least those under fifty.

You obviously missed the chat my mother had with me and my niece about her honeymoon. I wanted to scream and run it was so inappropriate. I don't need to know about anybody's sex life let alone my 75 year old mother's.

And really more likes to the person who said they whined about lingerie and didn't whine about sharing a penis. That's all kind of messed up.

I'd say this is accurate and the wives know it. For example, all of them want a piece of Logan. When Janelle mentioned, in reference to him, it being a milestone to have one of her kids go to college Meri quickly interjected that he may have come out of her, but he was their (meaning the other wives) kid too. It was memorable because I can't imagine her saying the same thing about most of the other kids (Mykelti...), or the other wives about Mariah.

There really is a kid named Areola?!

Kody was plain and simple an idiot to bring Robyn into the family when he was having obvious issues with Meri.  They were in therapy way back then before Robyn, and we all got to see how things went downhill from there.  That marriage certificate was EVERYTHING to Meri…she hung the thing on her wall in her bedroom for gripes sake!!  The problem was…come divorce time…we saw that it was truly meaningless to Kody.  He couldn’t/wouldn’t see what it meant to Meri…he only sees it as a piece of paper that is required, like a W-2 from your employer to fill out your tax forms.  But to Meri it meant something very deep.  He dropped a huge ball when he expected Meri and Robyn to see it as meaningless.

This seems to be the unspoken 800 lb (not you Janelle, sit down) gorilla in the room.  But there are places where you can see it indirectly (like the way they identify planets without seeing them, solely by their gravitational effect on other objects).

In his little rant against the Catfisher "targeting the family", Kody said that the Catfisher went after the weakest wife when she was the weakest and right after they'd had a big fight.  What was that fight about?  Never said.

But then we go that little bit of protesting too much when Kody said "things were bad with Meri and I before Robyn came along".  Ummm, no one really brought up Robyn before this.  That was an odd thing to say.  He was clearly defending against the idea that the source of friction between he and Meri was Robyn.

This x 100.  I thought the exact same thing - who said anything about Robyn?

No one has talked about the Meri/Robyn conflict on the show.  We've heard endless blather about the issues between Meri/Janelle and Christine/Robyn.  But we have been given next to nothing (from the Browns themselves) about how Kody's divorcing Meri to marry Robyn tore Meri up inside.  The Browns assume that their viewers are dumber than mud, but we've all seen what the divorce did to Meri - her sudden dizzy spells, her weight loss, searching for love on the internet.  And it all happened during/after the divorce.  So for Kody to mention that Robyn was the source of friction was strange, because even though we know, Kody doesn't know that we know - unless he's been perusing social media and this was his offhanded way to flip us the bird again.

They can't talk about the Meri/Robyn conflict--that would go against their phony justifications.  As their fabricated story goes, it was Meri's idea blah, blah, blah. But now that it has been brought up, there will be a show all about Meri and Robyn, BFFs!

Way back in the first season, Meri and Kody went to Mexico and Meri talked about feelings of jealousy.  Their marriage has been troubled for a LONG time.  This was the same conversation in which they discussed taking another husband and Kody said the thought disgusted him.  Sharing a husband is fine, but sharing a wife is not.

Robyn and Meri used to be BFFs, but not so much anymore.  Maybe this sister wives thing is not such a swell idea after all.

Janelle has 6 kids four of whom are sons.  Two of her sons are in the military. Not sure you can chalk that up to good parenting.  More likely they know that's the only way they will be able to get a college education.  The kids in that toxic waste pond of a family have always seemed to have the most common sense.

Especially Janelle's crew, considering that Logan's rarely seen on the show, and Hunter and Garrison fled to the military first chance they got. These kids have (slightly) more sense than the Duggar offspring when it comes to getting the hell away from all that crazy.

I don't mind Tony's looks at all, but I do find he appears more feminine than usual. I love a man with big eyes, so the bigger, the better in my books. lol. I am only surprised at the wedding because I never thought of them as a together forever type couple. They were cute when they were dating but I never considered it serious. I wonder if there is something more in it? Somebody has to be benefiting for these two to suddenly want marriage. Does that make sense? Or do you think it was just Kody wanting some ratings?

, Meri was legally divorced anyway, so it doesn't matter if she was involved in a weird romance with what she thought was a man. You can't have it both ways. And I'm not going to bend myself into a pretzel trying to excuse her sneaky deceptive behavior.

I don't think Meri was sneaky or deceptive in that I don't think any of the others even check in on her. Her place looks unlived in, and I see Christine's house as being the 'hub' and Meri is simply on the fringe. She got catfished because she was lonely and looking for love (in all the wrong places). Had the online romance been real, for sure she would have been gone. Aside from the first 2 years of her marriage, this girl has not felt loved or wanted. I hope she meets someone so she can experience a little more joy in her life. Cut the phoniness and move on, gal.

I do think the Brown kids have more sense. But I also think they have more freedom than the Duggar kids. As dysfunctional as the Brown adults are, I do think they are pretty open and supportive with their kids. I think the Duggar kids are legit scared to dissent and stray too far from their handlers. I think they are super brainwashed, while the Browns don't seem to have really shoved their crazy way of life down the throats of their children.

Maddie said Mariah came out to her in March, '16 and Gabe heard about it on the drive to Maddie and Caleb's wedding.  Does anyone know how that fits into their filming schedule and when Mariah supposedly told the Brown parents on camera?

There's been speculation about when she actually conceived:  Maddie said she was 3 months along during the Tell-all part 2 - she looked much further along than that to me (although it could be due to weight gain and poor posture).  Did anyone else get the same impression?

That's true, because I don't recall the Brown adults ever discouraging their kids from leaving home, and they all seemed to be okay with Mariah coming out. So you're right in that the Brown offspring don't seem as brainwashed as the Duggars do.
