  1. I'm all for snark, and I don't particularly care for Elizabeth, but she can wear whatever damn swim suit she wants.
  2. Watching the episode for the first time, just things I've noticed: Elizabeth's dad telling her husband to keep his lips off his daughter. Is that his idea of a dad joke? He sounded creepily serious. The car tag thing in the toast would be cute if she wasn't freakin' 30 years old. I thought it was shitty of the producers to have the MC call Matt's mom up for a dance, knowing she wasn't there, even if it was just for drama. Keith's mom asking Iris to explain her white dress like white isn't a normal color for a wedding dress....🙄 Super awkward, all of that.
  3. About Elizabeth, I just turned 31 and I'm a youngest child, a late-in-life child 15 years younger than my older brothers at that. My parents supported me through college, but my dad hasn't given me his credit card since. And he sure as hell wouldn't do it to pay for my 30th birthday party. If he had mentioned my husband's penis on my wedding day, I would've died. Iris seems sweet but it seems like every time a virgin appears on any reality show, that's all we hear about every episode. And it seems like either reality tv is going out of its way to find virgins or there are more virgins in the world than people think. Either way, I hope this goes well for Iris or that they don't have sex if it doesn't. Amber and Matt I want to like and I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm assuming we'll get more backstory about his family situation in later episodes because they definitely seemed to bring it up to build suspense. Deonna and what's-his-name, I don't know. They're kind of bland. It does seem like Deonna is just checking marriage off her list, like she thinks that's just what you're supposed to do after you establish a career and buy a house.
  4. Y'all, obviously not everybody in North America uses the same pronunciation. There's a whole school of grammar studies dedicated to observing how people actually speak (descriptive grammar) instead of enforcing standard rules (prescriptive grammar). There is a time and place for the use of Standard American English, but it's usually in writing, and as much as I enjoy the other snark around here, I try to not to snark on their speech. As a Southerner, I'm well aware that people wrongfully judge intelligence and level of education based on dialect and accent (also think about "ghetto" dialects and their speakers), and while the Browns and their ilk might lack in both, there are other people who speak like them who do not.
  5. I honestly didn't mean to minimize the problems the poor prairie dogs face.
  6. Close enough, except the prairie dogs don't have rabies, just bubonic plague.
  7. Regardless of whether Kody's right about the mouth hormones, the whole kissing talk is stupid. I usually enjoy snarking on the Browns themselves, but I think that interviewer deservees most of the snark after that Tell-Nothing. The most hard-hitting question she asked the whole time was to Mariah about the catfishing. I don't care much for Mariah, but she doesn't deserve to be pestered about her mother's past mistakes over and over and over again. And nobody cares anymore anyway.
  8. They've mentioned Logan and Michelle living together in their THs. I re-watched that clip the other day. Kody said it was "icky" or something to that effect. Janelle seemed more approving, saying that she loved to see the way Logan takes care of Michelle, but she also said she thought they should go ahead and just get married if they're going to be that committed. She said she told Logan that but he just didn't see it that way (obviously). Robyn interjected, of course, saying something about children making their own decisions.
  9. Well, for a while at least, their children were homeschooled, so there's that.
  10. Proud but not surprised to see Maddie join the lineup of teenage and adult Brown children throwin shade at their parents' ridiculous move. Kudos to her and Caleb for looking to support themselves and their children. Does anybody else feel like " 20 minutes " is probably on the longer side for the amount of time each brown child sees their father each day? "I'm the only spare person." Hahahahahaha! Robyn talking about hiring a moving person. With all the spare money they have lying around? Who is that random woman in Christine' s kitchen? "We have so much going on in each house none of us knows what anyone else is doing." Story of their lives again! Maddie's skull-print LLN shirt must've come from the same collection as my neon tick print LLN shirt. I'm too lazy to find that link to my earlier post, but you might remember. I got the short end of the stick though. "I don't want any of the organs. DO NOT pack organs!" The editors knew what they were doing with that line. Kody wanting time to say goodbye was A) BS because we know how long they've still owned those houses and B) vindication because his kids didn't get that when they left Lehi! I'd bet the neighbors were glad to see the backs of those UHauls! Robyn's house and her poor neighbors in Flagstaff! Whew... Oh Kody, shut up! Nobody made you go to Vegas! We all know nobody really made you leave Utah, but even if they did, they didn't make you go to Vegas! I did feel sorry when Mariah got upset saying goodbye. I believed her tears. I didn't understand them, but I believed them. I have my own sweet little 3-year-old so Ari telling Meri "It's okay" really got to me too, I admit...
  11. Well, yeah, my question was kind of rhetorical.
  12. Even if they did qualify for in-state tuition, wouldn't it be less expensive to just pay out-of-state tuition than to relocate the whole Kody Brown clan?
  13. Because Janelle wanted the privilege of raising her own child, her words.
  14. The reason they told us on the show? *mumble mumble* financial security *mumble*bad vibes in Vegas *mumble* Angels singing *mumble* Trees! The real reason? Dayton is going to college there. How can he uproot his entire family? His wives have no backbones. Who will be cleaning the McMansion? No one as zoning laws and building codes will never permit it to be built, even after the spineless wives give in.
  15. Ok I'm just now watching the episode and haven't read this thread to avoid spoilers but did anybody else hear Luke say "I wish Kate were here right now so we could talk about things" and get immediately icked out? All I heard was "I wish Kate were here so I could tell her what to say".
