Joy had been diagnosed with one clotting disorder before this pregnancy. Or that's what I gathered from her video. The second clotting disorder that was just diagnosed must be the super bad one, necessitating the shot therapy to sustain the pregnancy.

So pregnancy clotting disorders may not happen for each pregnancy? Everything seemed fine with Giddy. Then they lost Annabelle. They saw a high risk specialist with Evvie, which turned out to be an uneventful pregnancy. And now the clotting disorder.

Depends on what the problem is.  Some of them. like Factor V Leyden, are hereditary. so present since birth.  Others, like lupus anticoagulant, develop over time.  However, the majority of women with these issues do not miscarry or have stillbirths.  They are at higher risk for complications, but still have a good chance of having a healthy pregnancy and baby even if they do have them.

So, it is quite possible that Joy always had these things, but it wasn't until she had the stillbirh that she was tested and the problem diagnosed.  It is generally only after a loss that anticoagulation is recommended because of the risks involved with taking blood thinners in pregnancy and delivery.

Do we know for sure that she didn't take anticoagulant injections with Evvy?

She said they knew she had a clotting condition that was initials (sorry, I can't remember them)

MTHFR, which always makes me laugh. I think that's also what the Bateseses have.

I have read that it's not technically a clotting disorder, but a gene mutation that can cause lots of different problems.

MTHFR mutations are pretty common, about 15% of white people have one.  There is an increased risk of miscarriage with it; but the vast majority of people with MTHFR never know they have it because they never have a problem.

The thought is that MTHFR can increase the risk of miscarriage by causing the blood to clot more easily with resultant clot formation in the placenta, just like Factor V Leiden.  The jury is still out on what to do about it, there are not enough studies to be sure; but, at the very least, women with MTHFR are often told to take a daily baby aspirin while pregnant and, over the past few years, it's become more popular to use daily injections of low molecular weight heparin.

Joy mentioned she had been taking baby aspirin before her second diagnosis. MTHFR was her first diagnosis.

Joys SM is getting more and more "curated" with sponsorships.

They have a third child on the way and two kids in diapers. If they are using the same so called insurance as Jessa and Jinger the out of pocket visits to a specialist will quickly add up.

If they have distanced themselves from JB (especially after publicly agreeing with the verdict and sentence) he may not be as generous spreading around the money he made off his kids’s backs. Or the FF has really drained the family pot with his legal bills. She is still horrible at pimping. The perils of counting on TV fame instead of pursuing a trade or higher education.

If they need money, they should get jobs. What a foreign concept.

Then he either needs a better one or Joy needs one.   If they're not making enough to pay their bills, they could do what the rest of us do:  find a way to make more money.

They seem to be doing just fine. They just took a trip to Alaska. Austin is elk hunting in Colorado this week. They went to Alaska just as Joy fired up the social media after a long absence. She said they saved for a while for the Alaska trip

They just appear to want more. At least she's not shilling the same stuff as her sisters or Carlin, so maybe she can make more money.

Then Austin should work more.

Austin has a job.

Yet Joy is pimping like crazy, even exploiting her son’s “education.”

I’m not convinced that Austin does as much paying work as some seem to think.

Joy is now shilling a party pack called "Jesus's birthday party." Her SM rapidly becoming an infomercial.

I remember home made Happy Birthday Jesus! signs at the TTH during Christmas. This is just the G2 version. Either Joy is being bombarded by ad opportunities or she’s hustling because they need the money. 🤷‍♀️

I got the perfect sweater Joy could wear in her shilling videos--
I was going to wear this to our family's Thanksgiving lunch this year, but my husband thought it was a bit "too much" since everyone is Catholic.
