That therapist looks like Catelynn in 5 to 10 years.

Yes! They even have the same side piece of greasy bangs. Good lord.

That's because it's not a normal diet, it's a pre-bariatric surgery diet. I suspected it when she was vague about her "weight loss doctor" so when she said three ounces of meat, it pinged in my head because my mom had the same surgery a couple of years ago. What's interesting is that she's at the tail end of her pre-op treatment. In general, most insurers/practices want you to have at least two psychiatrist appointments to make sure you have reasonable expectations and want you to work with a nutritionist for 6 weeks to assess your trigger foods and get you accustomed to smaller portions. But the high protein meal replacement bars/shakes, 3 oz. of meat and small portion of overcooked, non-starchy vegetables? That's the 2-week pre-op diet. It's done to ensure there's no excess fat around the liver and spleen when they operate. Within a week, she'll have to cut it down to just broths, sugar-free, non-carbonated drinks and super thin cream of wheat. This definitely wasn't the "oh, I think I'll just talk to my doctor real quick" kind of visit they were trying to portray it as.

Ooooh interesting. So do we think that's what she actually had done? Instead of the "mommy makeover"? Do the timelines even match?

I didn't watch the episode but saw the sneak peek with Larry and Jen, I seriously doubt Larry would have kicked Ryan out and said the things he said if Ryan's behavior was due to a medical reason.

From the clips I watched Ryan looked like he had been up for multiple nights tweaking.

Yup. Larry has tolerated a lot from him. I don't see him kicking him out because of TBI. Did anyone else notice a weird hose thing on the floor when the producer was talking to Ryan? I paused it, but couldn't figure out what it was.

Please tell me Farrah got sued or fined for asking several illegal interview questions.

Good hell, that scene made me want to swirl a sharp pencil into my eyeball because I truly believe that would've been less painful.  "Is there anything that may prevent you from adhering to this schedule / these work hours?", Farrah.  Not, "so, do you have any children?"

I can't even open my house in 5 minutes... Meaning when I come home from somewhere or even wake up in the am it takes me more than 5 minutes to get things up and running, so to speak. Farrah, as per usual has no clue how to run things, there's lots of prep to be done. I'm not sure how fro yo works but do you let the machine run all night? Because My guess is when those machines run out and you have to refill them to make more, it takes longer than 5 minutes alone to do that.

Im a horrible person but I really just want to wait until the she gets sued for those highly illegal interview questions. And what really pisses me off is she WAS a teen mom, based on her standards she wouldn't have hired herself in the position she was in at the beginning, you would think she would have some compassion.

And lastly, I'm a nurse... And I don't work those crazy hours. Yes, I do work 3 12 hour shifts a week, so I guess it's close. I just think it's different when it's life/death vs yogurt. (I just want to clarify I don't mean my job is more important than anyone else's, we all have different but equally important differences)

I really don't know what to think about the big fight, since we didn't see it. Ryan claims he doesn't remember what it was about - either because he's too drugged out, or he's trying to save face. I'm pretty sure Larry didn't kick him out over Allen wrenches. But I get the impression that not only has Ryan been lying, but Jen's been lying for him. When Larry told her that she better not lie to him about selling the house, there was a bitterness there, as if she's done it before. It made me feel really sad for Larry. Because I'm now getting the impression that Jen has always put her son first and it's caused a real rift in the family. Ugh, I just hate the whole thing.

And I really hate that Ryan is trying to use Bentley as some sort of pawn in all this.Who is HE to decide Bentley can't visit his grandparents anymore? He's never around!!!

Farrah and her yogurt shop are so hilarious. What frozen yogurt store needs a mascot? And a thousand tiny mascots? That coba the boba thing was frightening. But I shouldn't say anything, because we all know Farrah has mastered the art of manufacturing. I mean, she just wants a team of people who are making families happier and healthier. (NVM how unhappy and unhealthy HER own family is.)

I mean, seriously, I don't live Debra and Michael but they do A LOT for her. They're basically her unpaid servants and she is constantly nasty and condescending to them. I'd feel sorry for them, but they basically created this monster.

It's so obvious Farrah doesn't know what the fucks she's doing. She didn't even come up with this idea on her own,but apparently bought an existing shop from someone else. She even hired a former employee!!! Who, by the way, seems to know much more about running a yogurt shop than Farrah. But is Farrah going to listen? NO, she's going to keep operating under the illusion that she can open in 5 minutes. Bah! I can't wait to see this fail.

I don't want to comment too much on Tyler. He's sickening to me. Quit bitching about editing. You said what you said. How about the scenes where he meets with his mom just to talk smack about Cate? Or when he meets with his therapist....to talk smack about Cate??? At this point, he's getting more scenes than the actual Teen Mom and someone needs to finally knock him off his high horse once and for all.

Tyler is just as much of a "log" as Catelynn. What has HE done with his life? Besides wear a wife beater to therapy? Fucking loser.

They are her servants but definitely not unpaid. They're paid to be on the show, and Farrah has bankrolled her mom's cars, plastic surgery, designer clothes, etc., and started businesses with Farrah that likely only sold anything because Farrah is famous. Her dad made bank off of her porn video...he was her "manager" and negotiated the contract. No pity here. Trash begets trash.

I'm definitely in the "Ryan's drugged out" camp too.

Totally agree on Cate and TyTy. He can whine about "editing" but he loves Cate's mental illness. It's a storyline and it brings the drama. He gets to look like a saint because Cate is depressed and overweight, so somehow because he's "just" chubby and lazy, he gets to play superior to his mom and therapist. While not actually having to make anything of his own life. It's sickening.

I haven't watched this episode yet, but I do take some solace knowing that in my town, a year ago, there were like four or five of these frozen yogurt shops, exactly the same business model. They are now all closed.

I was kind of thinking the same thing.  The many we have in my area haven't closed, but I can tell their appeal is much less as more and more of them open.  Ever since they all opened years back it is harder and harder to find real ice cream places..... but that seems to be making a bit of a comeback.  Thank goodness!

I think Farrah should know she came into this fad a bit late if she is such a good business woman.  lol.  That said, at least she does get out and do something rather than sit around all day.  I will give her that.

So I know that Tyler is just trying to leave her, but Cait really does nothing to help herself. I have both depression and anxiety and it took hard work (therapy) and trying to keep myself busy. The best advise my sister ever gave me was not to sit around doing nothing, sitting inside my head. Lo and behold she regained her permanent spot on the couch.

Ryan looks like he is on some stimulant with his creepy eyes.

I'm not sure how those machines work, but I used to work in a food service operation that served soft serve ice cream, and we had to drain and clean the machine once a day to keep it from freezing up.  I'm guessing that's what takes an hour, but I'm not sure, since we probably had the world's worst equipment.  But yeah, she's a moron who think she knows everything.  The Yelp reviews are awesome, and the website is a horror.  You can pay $200 for a tour and to meet Farrah for FroCo University!  Also, it says the owner is a "top celebrity.". Lolololol.  In what world, Farrah?

I do not understand the relationship between Farrah and her feral-looking child. She speaks to her the way childless people talk to little kids -- is she not comfortable around her own daughter? It's like when a single parent brings a new girlfriend/boyfriend around their kid and the new potential stepmom/stepdad is over-the-top friendly to the child when they've never been around a kid before and are totally clueless on how to relate. And then she lets her put food on her face in a restaurant!

And further, we get this kid ordering three entrees and then Amber's kid ordering macaroni with a side of macaroni. Does any child on this show eat a normal meal? Or, maybe the question is, does any child on this show ever hear the word "No"?

I love that the one employee that already worked there and was like we had to do x and x. Farrah was like nuh. I would be scared that she assumed that 40 hrs is only 3 days. I hope Farrah realizes that working 13hrs a day requires some breaks and a lunchtime. The Cali labor board is going to be Farrah's next enemy.

Farrah looked like an idiot wearing the glasses for the interviews.  So professional.   Yes, that's sarcasm.  You couldn't pay me enough to work for her!  Who works 40 hours in 3 days at a froyo place? She has no idea what she is doing.  None at all.

Ryan's eyes scared the crap outta me.  I was very sad to see there is turmoil with Jen and Larry.  I hope they work it out.

Squishy green beans are so gross.  I like them crispy.  Amber seems very unhappy too.  She is a very beautiful girl, just not in personality.  I did give Matt some credit for saying he wouldn't care if she was 900 pounds.   That's a lot nicer than Tyler not wanting no heifer.  Ugh.

Is there an interview or something where Farrah or Deb admit to the bankrolled lifestyle. I ask only because Farrah never paid for her mom's surgery. She LOANED her the money. That scene where Farrah made it clear she was not going to dole out any money to her mom reeks of how Deb did the same to Farrah when Farrah needed to rent out her mom's home. They may be relatives, but it seems Farrah is not going to give away her cash.

I really think Grandma and Grandpa have raised that kid, for the most part. Farrah travels a lot and goes out. She probably barely knows Sophia. Even when she is around her, she doesn't pay attention to her, unless she's making some sort of BS comment. "Sophia really misses Miami, she once lived there!" When she was a baby! Farrah is so delusional and Sophia is nothing more than a prop for her.

Amber and Matt need to stop. They're annoying. Also, why does he call Leah Boo-Boo? It's annoying when Amber does it, and Leah isn't even his kid.

Bentley making the sign for Taylor was sweet. At least he has one involved father figure in his life.

Farrah: Not much can be said about her. She'll always be a bitch.

I've never seen Farrah so happy,  excited and dare I say.. Playful as she appeared the first five minutes of the episode when she was talking about that stupid mascot.  But then she turned back into psychotic angry Farrah screaming about the freezers and batching that the certification for food handling said manager because she's supposed to be the manager.  It's laughable how dim that girl really is! Thinking it will only take five minutes to prepare to open her shop to asking illegal interview questions.. How old are you?  Do u have kids? 40hours a week is like three days. Um not usually.  Lol.

Amber is going to change her lifestyle.. By eating meal replacement bars and shakes?  That's just another crash diet not a healthy way to change your eating habits.  And I laughed out loud when Matt was talking to his friend and saying we are extremely happy.  Because happy is not the word that comes to mind when I see Amber.  That girl is depressed and miserable.. Snapping at Leah to listen.  Geez let her have fun.

Maci just had a baby is getting married and has three kids and still has the most boring storyline.  She's still sitting around bitching about Ryan seven years later.  Who was Jayde with in all of Mavis scenes.  I just saw her at the game and that's it.  Wow!  The fight between Larry and Ray an.. That's serious stuff.  Ryan was so high!!!

Cate is a mess.  She looks unkempt and has gained way too much weight.  I think Tyler hates his life.  Care saying she's bored.  OMG when my daughter was a year old I was never bored never had time to myself because I was. Gasp... Taking care of her!  Try being a mother to your child and you won't be bored.  If she keeps sitting around like a, sloth smoking weed and eating she's going to look like Gary's twin pretty soon.

This show depresses me.  If u gave me a windfall of hundreds of thousands of dollars a year for seven years for very little effort my life would be so much easier and I'd definitely be happy.  I'm happy now but wish I could spend more time with my kids not worry about expenses and not work as much.  I'd make the most of it.  And yet every single one of these girls is miserable.  Some more than others but no one seems to have any joy in their lives.  Maci seems beat down and is practically an alcoholic.  Amber is depressed and struggling,  Caitlin is a mess, Tyler hates his family and his life.  Farrah is never happy and hates everyone.  Guess it's true money can't buy happiness

She said she wanted assurance she would get the $8,000 back at some point, but even if she did give it back (which I highly doubt, I assume that's more of Farrah's all-talk, no-action along the lines of constantly 'breaking up with Simon' and 'never seeing him again'), she'd be paying for it with TM money. They also had signed up to do that mother/daughter reality TV show--they're grifters/a reality TV family. It's a lifestyle. The dad definitely admits to having signed the contract and served as her 'manager,' though I don't believe for a second that he didn't know beforehand like he claims.

I just have no sympathy for these people. If they didn't want to serve Farrah hand and foot, they could quite easily get jobs and stay the hell off the screen (like Maci's mom). Instead, they sign up for more and more appearances. It's obvious that at least Debra definitely wants to live the 'glam' lifestyle. They don't want to be normal. Hey, I mean, leverage what you can out of your own/your daughter's teen pregnancy, I guess, but I just don't get it personally. At least if I was making this kind of $$ I'd spend it on rent or a mortgage on a normal house and save the rest.

No, I'm aware she parts of the problem but some of things she said about Jen is just out of pocket. I get it that Larry is just fed the fuck up but I didn't need him to be that angry at Jen when she basically loving her son too much the point where it's becoming a problem. I hear ya @Lm2162. I just don't know that Farrah is willing to throw money to her parents so easily. I could see her demanding payment back. Farrah may accept something in exchange for that money she loaned her mom, but I don't see it being there for Sophia. In Farrah's mind, they have to be there for her and Sophia. Deb and Michael are enablers and I also see them as being held emotionally hostage. Farrah is a piece of work. She would threaten them with not being able to see Sophia if they didn't do as she asked of them. Farrah is that wicked and evil. In my mind, that is why they put up with her crap. She won't say it on camera, but I can see her telling her parents she would cut them out of Sophia's life if need be. I can't get it out of my head what one member here mentioned about the Dr. Phil taping they attended. They mentioned the glaring looks and the idle threats Farrah made to her parents in between commercial breaks.

Debra does have a boyfriend, "Mr. David". He might be the one who is paying for her car.

Oh geeze. I have a lot to say, but I'll keep this short...

* I like Tyler about as much as I like a brown recluse crawling up my arm. But during that scene with the "therapist" I actually thought HE was making better points. Yes, I realize that mental illness affects everyone in the family but Tyler was right...Cate needs to get help for HER, or else it won't get better. Going back and telling her how it affects him and mildly threatening her won't get either of them anywhere.

* Farrah. 40 hours is, like, 3 days. WTF? Setup in 5 minutes? Hell, it takes me that long to scoop the little toppings onto my froyo.

*Riiine. I have never liked the dude. I wouldn't put him on the same level of Tyler, but he's always been a jerk and a bit of a slacker. I do not think he is "high," though. At least not illegally. I DO, now at least, think he is heavily medicated and now I am definitely on the "brain damage" bandwagon. I think he suffered some injuries during the car wreck and now it's all kind of an unspoken secret between the family. Nobody really talks about it, but they all know something is up. When the producer chick was asking him about the argument and why he moved out, he couldn't even answer the questions.I don't think it was because he didn't want to in front of the cameras; it appeared as though he honestly COULDN'T. I've gone from being annoyed at him to feeling quite a bit of sympathy. And even more sympathy for Jen & Larry.

*Cate. Again, I was on Tyler's side when she claimed to be bored and he asked her if her phone was interesting. Damn you, Tyler, for making a good point.

*Tyler. On the other hand, he's always on his damn phone as well. So pot, meet kettle.

*Amber. I got nothin'.

Ryan may have suffered some head injuries during the car wreck, but this isn't the first time he's had the wide eyed, non-blinking affect (this was the most drastic that I remember, though) and iirc, he's looked similar to this back a few seasons, at least. This affect is nothing new, but what is new is the camera staying directly on him for so long. (Have they decided to stop hiding this problem of his like they've done with Cate, Leah, Janelle?)

IMO, he's definitely "on" something - which may help explain him not engaging with Bentley, missing his games, not working, etc. From what Larry said last nite, it sounded to me that he's had it with Jen enabling and covering for Ryan. I'd probably feel the same way if I had to watch my adult son be coddled and always feeling like I came in last place in the family. What a mess...

Actually Tyler and did say something similar after the producer commented on his heifer remark. I believe he said, with subzero sincerity, "I would still love you no matter how big you are." or something like that. BULL and SHIT. In my head I asked "So then why wouldn't you want 'no heifer'??" but of course no one in the room called him on it. No one. Then again, why would I expect them to when the producer reacted to his heifer comment only by giggling "Tyler, you're so harsh." or something. All while standing there seeing how painful it was for Cate.

Yuck.

Yes, Matt would probably still stay with Amber if she were that heavy as long as she still makes that sweet MTV money. The minute the show is over and the money runs out---and it will run out, at least for these two, because it has before---then he'll hightail it out of there and set his sights on another woman with low self-esteem and cash to burn.

I agree! I also get the impression she has given him money or covered up something he did behind Larry's back. I also think she has undermined every attempt Larry has made to give Ryan tough love, or hold him accountable. Jen does bear some responsibility here, and if what I think is correct, Larry does have cause to be angry at her.

ETA: I get that Jen really loves Ryan, but part of loving your kid means teaching them right from wrong, teaching them character, and teaching them that actions have consequences. Jen's desire to protect Ryan from himself is hindering him, not helping him.

Right. When it comes to parenting, parents need to be on the same page. They need to back each other up.  They need to form a strong unit. One parent should never undermine the other. If a kid knows there is that one parent who will defend them, never call them out on their shit, they just learn that is the parent that will cover up for them no matter what. Larry is resentful, and rightfully so. Jen, his wife, has been dishonest to him on top of enabling Ryan. Imagine finding out your partner has been lying to you, no matter the situation. The trust is lacking or is now gone.  I think at this point Larry is upset that Jen has stepped in one too many times to soften Ryan's choices rather than allow him to endure the consequences. Jen doesn't know the difference between helping and enabling. She equates enabling to loving her child. She has no idea what tough love is about.

@Frootloop Dingus  I don't give con artists credit. Matt is a con artist. Of course he is going to say something to his victim to ensure she is secure while he is dipping in her bank account.

That drives me absolutely batshit when a parent defends their choices by saying they just can't bear to see their child suffer...as if parents who practice discipline somehow relish seeing their child cry. Believe me, when my daughter is being punished and cries, sure, a part of me wants to give her back whatever was taken away, or let her do whatever has been decreed that she can't do, but what does that teach her? That she should never have to pay the consequences of any of her poor decisions? That she should get whatever she wants whenever she wants it? My job as a parent is to teach her about right and wrong, and consequences, and give her the tools to be a functioning adult some day, not just do whatever I can to make her happy in the short term.

Farrah may have mastered creating plaster molds of her vagina but Coba looked like one of those cheap, generic toys the claw picks up on the 5th try.

Oh Farrah. I had a boss like her once. She wanted the most impossible things done in 5 minutes. I had to hide my WTF expressions when she had ridiculous demands. Good luck to all her employees. And why in God's name is Sophia ordering 3 meals??!! And it didn't look like she even ate any of it, she just played with the pickles! And I had to lol at Debra in the background with those crazy sunglasses when Farrah was interviewing the first girl.

I think it could definitely be both, or some kind of mental illness or TBI that is leading him to abuse drugs, etc. It could also just be one or the other. We really have no context and no clue, it's all speculation.

True. I am hoping someone in the know spills the beans soon!

It could be both. I am just throwing out another option since TBI and mental illness has been mentioned. It is not out of the realm of possibility for any mental illness he may have to be due to drug use. We all know about that commercial with the fried eggs in the frying pan and what drugs do to one's brain. It can occur with alcohol use as well. The brain is also an organ. Just like the kidney and liver can be damaged, so can the brain.

I just have a hard time believing Larry would cut out his son for having a mental disorder/illness/damage. Jen never mentioned such a thing and with all the things Larry said he never mentioned it either. Hell, not even Maci has said a thing about it. At least if he had such a thing going on, it might explain away his behavior towards Bentley. If Maci knew Ryan wasn't all there, she may not actually mention it, but she may have compassion rather than rag on him not being around.

Please tell me Farrah got sued or fined for asking several illegal interview questions.   And Sophia at the table eating her food made me physically ill.  And SHUT UP, Farrah, it IS called a Food Handler's certification, even if you're the line cook, the cashier, the manager,  or the goddamn CEO.  It's just the one certification,  stop trying to convince us you're so important.

Yes to all this. You cannot ask any of the stuff she was asking! And it looked for all the world like that segment was set up purposely to show Farrah asking all these illegal questions--by Farrah's instruction! "I want to be shown as a tough, no nonsense employer who knows every detail!" And she wants the crew to prep for opening in five minutes because she doesn't want to pay them. I once worked in a bookstore and came in 15 minutes before opening to tidy up, open the register, count the money, get the newpapers onto the racks and so on. The owner had a fit, she didn't want to pay me for the extra 15 minutes!  And conducting the interviews wearing those ridiculous glasses. I laughed for an hour. I did enjoy Michael telling her off. We need more of this.

Ugh.

My eyes damn near fell out of my head. Eat a goddamn apple if you're too tired to "make" something. Fresh green beans, just blanched, with a squeeze of lemon and a twist of fresh pepper are so good and take two seconds to do. That canned crap has no nutritional value and is loaded with salt. Not to mention it tastes like shit. She is setting herself up to fail. She has nothing but time! She can look for fresh food at farmer's markets and she can afford Whole Foods! She can find recipes, cooking tutorials and nutrition workshops online! She could buy a basic cookbook like How to Cook Everything and teach herself to cook! She could make awesome food for herself if she exerted just a little effort!

And no matter what she weighs, her money is green. Matt knows what side his bread is buttered on.

Farrah's always so pleased with herself when she spoils Sophia in this way, too. You could see the smug little smile on her face as she ordered. She thinks she is an awesome mother. Gah. Debra doesn't care as long as the wine keeps flowing. I am amazed there are people like this in the world!

I definitely think something else is involved (a substance) and agree Larry would not kick him out for that. But brain injuries can also cause a lot of other issues, like lack of impulse control, addictions, etc. I just think that there might be several things going on here. I have cut off a close family member not because they have a mental illness but because they refuse to seek help for it and the way that it affects them makes them abusive and manipulative towards others.

The thing is, Larry is also threatening to cut out Jen from his life. I understand cutting out people from your life due to addiction or mental illness. Jen has covered up something major for Larry to feel he is better off being separated from her as well as Ryan.

Yuck.

Yeah I don't think her weight qualifies her either...but her bank account certainly will help tip the scale.

I'm embarrassed to admit that line about Larry saying Jen could leave made me cry. I've dealt with enabling my kid and it was so hard to say no more. The only reason we are talking now is because we had a serious illness in the family and finally a funeral.

Ryan was high as fuck.

Ok so I don't know if Amber has thryoid issues or not that would prevent her from losing weight. Anyways I think that she just wants to take the easy way out. I am about her size and I am loosing weight by not alot of sugar (I still have trouble with it :) ) and exercising. Plus I work full time and still have the time to cook a meal haha.

could you see this:

Farrah- "Are you married?  Do you have children?  Do you live with anyone?"

Prospective employee- "Um, you really can't ask me that.  Those types of questions are illegal."

Farrah- "Uh, yes I can! This is my business, I can ask you any questions I want! "

Farrah, as per usual has no clue how to run things, there's lots of prep to be done. I'm not sure how fro yo works but do you let the machine run all night? Because My guess is when those machines run out and you have to refill them to make more, it takes longer than 5 minutes alone to do that.

I don't know about the opening/setup, but I once took my son to a new frozen yogurt place, and we got there at 7pm.  He wanted chocolate but they were cleaning the machine.  I was like, why would you start cleaning at 7pm if you are open until 9pm??  Apparently each machine takes half an hour to clean at the end of the day.  I was upset that they started cleaning while the store was still open.  Also, why start with the most popular flavor?  Close the store at 7pm or whatever time, if you don't have all of the options available.  I told the lady that had I known they would be shutting down the chocolate, I would have taken him to another place.

I was really happy when they went out of business last month.

The yelp reviews are GOLD!

**In case you and/or your kiddos are interested, Froco founder Farrah Abraham also created Froco University:

"Froco believes in sharing knowledge & education to empower youth & other future business owners. Get a real tour with the owner, and receive an in-depth booklet of information, including: numbers, food safety pointers, tips on what it takes to run a business, and real life examples from the owner."

Classes are one hour and cost $200. Book at Frocotx@gmail.com

Ok, Farrah, she is just sharing knowledge to empower youth!  At $200 a class!

This one is too funny:

Then I looked at the website where it stated "you may where sunglasses at work as well."  I don't predict good things for a business where the owner can't even spell.

I give him ZERO credit, considering he said it because he loves her for her bank statement, not her looks.

I agree, it is hard to say no more to your child.  Someone posted upthread that it isn't easy to see your kid cry, but necessary to teach them that you are in charge and no means no.  Which is easy to say when they are little, but as they get older, it is a lot harder to discipline.  The stakes are higher, and it is emotional.  Disciplining children is a cake walk compared to saying no more to a 20 year old.

I don't think Amber is big enough to be a good candidate for bariatric surgery. She's overweight, but not morbidly obese.

I read on theashleys.com that she had the "mommy makeover" but without the tummy tuck.  I think that's just boob job and lipo.

I dunno.

You can have a mental illness and still be an asshole.
