I've been wondering if Dillweed didn't demand that he and The Muffin get their own show and left in a huff when TLC laughed in his face but your idea makes more sense.  Either way, I think they're both delusional and don't get that they just aren't interesting.

I'm a woman of my word, and I did watch Nate and Jeremiah's show.  They were on Trading Spaces which I normally watch anyway, and then I watched their show right after that.  I was very impressed.  They redid the home of a family of little people.  They did a wonderful job creating a home for the family that was both functional and beautiful.  They worked  hard to get it just right, and did more good for that family than the Dullards have ever done for anyone with their handing out Dum Dums and banana bread.  Poppy is adorable, and seems like a bright and happy little girl.  Izzy is the child I worry about, not her.

Love it!

JB was able to Jessa and Jill their own show after the original show bit the dust after Josh's molestation scandal hit the news. Derelict and Muffin went running off the Danger America, so he may not be happy with the fact the show ended up featuring Jessa/Ben and the other older kids instead of him and Jill. He has been toss aside along with Josh and Anna. TLC first made Jessa/Ben the next Duggar super couple, and now the roll of the dice is now on Jinger/Jeremy. Face it Derelict and Muffin, you are old news.

I watched that Nate and Jeremiah show too and was almost moved to tears on how respectful they seemed to the family.  The Duggars could take a lesson or two in compassion from them.

I give them a pass on the potty training.  Izzy just turned 3 & it's hard to tell what he's wearing - a diaper, pull-ups or regular underwear.  Plus I read somewhere boys on average take longer to train than girls.  As I've posted before, my son was way past 4 when he got the whole potty training thing down.  It was definitely a control issue with him & he couldn't be bothered to stop what he was doing & use the bathroom.  I thought sure he would be going to kindergarten with pull ups in his backpack.

As for Izzy, there's always Aunt Jana if his parents can't be bothered.

I bet you didn't use the Pearl methods on your child. According to J'chelle, potty training is about obedience. Jill has been using the Pearl methods and Izzy has been taught to obey rather than continue with whatever interests him. This is J'chelle on potty training:

Derick is talentless and boring. Jill is talentless and boring. In fact, all the Duggars are as interesting to watch as sludge in a drainpipe. It was one thing when there was the novelty of a hoard of little kids running around a baffled Michelle, but now they have nothing special to offer. There are thousands of potentially interesting people to film, so why would TLC waste resources on these people? Dreck doesn't get it.

The Pearl method is far worse than Michelle's potty training = obedience training. Michael Pearl advocates cleaning toddlers who mess their pants outside with a cold hose.

Baby Samuel will be ten months old this week.  Why haven't we seen him crawling?

To be fair, Tabloid Jr never crawled....  I had such a complex about it!!   On his 10 month "birthday" he up and walked across the room...    I assumed he would then crawl to get places faster.   NOPE - he walked fast and then ran.   I was so worried that it impacted his development, but dr said let him be.   He's just about to turn 21 and seems ok.   LOL

A zillion years ago, one brother never crawled.  He scooted on the floor sitting up pulling his butt forward with his legs.  He did not walk until he was 18 months old, yet he became an excellent bowler and golfer.  My other much younger brother walked at nine months to the day. Everyone is different.

The younger of my 2 year old twins did the same thing. I have it documented because it was so cute and she was fast as lightning. Her sister crawled "normally".

I worry about Izzy and Sam being potty trained because Dreck seems so volatile and short tempered. They're adorable kids who deserve better parents.

I finally watched the hammock video - we now have beer.  Jill put up the hammock - not Derilick and then he said, she'll have to take it down tonight before it rains.  Then WHY put it up for like 2 hours or such???  And Derilick couldn't put it up?  Her headship???  I'm guessing she got tired of not having it up and was finally like fine, I can do this, M'chelle style and used bungee cords.

Occam's razor: he's just a dick.

I was just going to post a similar sentiment, but I can’t top perfection.

So the evil liberal media was just showing Derick and family as relatively nice and normal, rather than the raging jerks that they really are? Derick should send them all fruit baskets for hiding the real Dillards for as long as possible.

Or when he's trying to sue people/entities because they revealed his secret.

How dare they out him out for being a molesting, porn watching, cheating, hypocritical ass. He has been totally embarrassed because everyone now knows what an ass he really is. I guess Derelict has been taken lessons from him except in his case people are calling him out on his so called missionary work, his so called working, and being a poor excuse for a husband and father. When in Rome...

Some of these are pretty disturbing, especially 14 and 16

I'm not going to lie, #14 made me vomit a little (#16 is also horrendous).  I keep thinking about what happened in the Duggar and Willis household.  In their messed up minds, speaking out about how their parents mishandled the Josh situation would probably be considered rebellion.  Parents are not infallible and children should be able to respectfully disagree with their actions.  The Duggar parents decided that fame and tv money were more important than their daughters' well being.  In my opinion Jill, Jessa, Jinger and Joy all have a right to be angry with what their parents did to cover up Josh's molestation of them.  This is not rebellion.  I cannot fathom a god who expects total obedience to parents.

First, I googled “how to pray for your children” and came up with plenty of better options.

Secondly, I have to again harp on what little marketing sense Jill has. “Check out this super good list of unknown origin my amazing momma presented at a MOPS meeting” is a snooze. It doesn’t brand her as a Christian wife and mother expert or whatever it is they are going for. She could have the same photo and write something about how she prays this list every morning, and she got it from her mom who instilled a deep faith in all of her children.

It shows a) what little intellectual curiosity she has and b) that she uses social media solely for self-promotion.

I used to do marketing for a nonprofit. The first thing I did was follow other nonprofits - mostly in my field but not all - to get a sense of what works. I got on mailing lists and e-newsletters. You read and you read and you read.

It’s so clear Jill doesn’t read missionary blog posts, or Christian mom social media, or even recipes for pete’s sake.

Oh goody.  Derelick is saying, on his twitter feed, that the Boy Scouts of America - now the Scouts USA - who have changed the name and policy to allow girls into their 11-17 year old group, that the Scouts leadership is out of touch with reality.  I was wondering how mr Eagle scout was gonna take the news now that girls can become them as well.

I personally am thrilled with this.  As a kid I grew up in a rural community.  The boy scouts did tons of cool things, the girl scouts that I really tried to like - we got taught dancing and sewing and I was bored stiff.  I would have flourished if I could have been in the boys scouts!

Several folks are commenting him to let him know that girls can grow up to do more then have babies and follow their husbands around while there are, sadly, a couple of leghumpers that are like - but god made boys and girls, why does everything have to be gender neutral?!!

Doesn't his brother still work for the Scouts?  If so, I wonder how much longer will he work for them?

I remember last year when they Boys scouts said they would allow girls, Derdick and Cathy liked and retweeted tons of stuff about how it was an agenda trying to turn boys into effeminate whimps. They didn't post anything in their own words because Dan works there.

Sorry but I cannot stop laughing at the use of Derdick. It fits him to letter! I wonder if a big part of the reason why Derdick does not want girls in the Boy Scouts is the fact it could teach young girls to be just as strong mentally and physically as a boy. He is probably worried one of them could kick his sorry skinny ass to the moon and back. In otherwords, he sees strong independent women as a threat.

I've seen this list before. #16 is a recent addition.

The Duggars (JB and Michelle, I think) shared this list before and I remember the text of 16 being on it.

I'm sure they reconcile the contradiction for themselves, but technically #7 and #14 contradict each other.

I don't like #12 either.

As for #16, Jazz is a girl and seems to enjoy it.

This afternoon while we were running errands my husband and I were waiting in line at this one place. Two people in front of us were discussing God, religion and going to church. The lady brought up the fact her kids were home schooled because public schools were terrible. The guy said the reason why public schools were so bad was the fact God has been taken out of the schools since the 1960's. He also talked about the church he goes to, and the fact he the church had to build a gymnasium was the fact the church had to pay money to go out of town for sport and other related activities because local places with gymnasiums did not want Christians to use their places. The man and woman said people did not want to say God in front of others because they were afraid people would look down on them. I admit I was rolling my eyes a little and was tempted on asking them if they heard of the Duggars, but I kept my mouth shut. I also thought about Deredick while I was listening to them because this is something he would have said in discussion with the same people. I also bet dollars to donuts the church the guy attends did not want to fork out money to use the gymnasiums. Maybe I should have told him to on social media and ask for donations like Deredick and Cling Queen Jill have been doing in order to get money for the new gymnasium for his church.

I'm a little cranky today. So Fuck-you Jill.

What I have always wished for my children is that they be happy and healthy. I wished and still wish they find joy, rich friendships, exciting passion for people and experiences, laughter until it hurts and love that feels like bliss. I have wished and still wish that any hard lessons learned are surrounded with support and are short lasting. I have wished and still wish that their physical and mental health remain as stable as possible and that medical advances stay one step ahead of them. I have wished and still wish they find a balance between taking life seriously and living it like it's a cosmic joke. I have wished and still wish that my kids listen to their gut, their moral core and their heart and respect themselves and others.

And for you, Jill, I have never wished or prayed that my children would obey me, or obsess over who they're attracted to sexually or whether they were conforming to societal norms. Because wishing, praying and forcing those thoughts and beliefs on my children could certainly fuck up their health and happiness. So again, fuck-you Jill and what the hell, fuck you too Derick.

I so love you, @GeeGolly. (Sorry @Celia Rubenstein) I just agree with everything you said. I have no humanoid children, but I just want to hug you.

This is such a weird attitude. What "reality" is it the leadership is out of touch with according to Dillweed? I was briefly a scout as a wee lass in the 80's and it wasn't gender segregated even back then (wikipedia tells me girl and boy scouts were joined up in 1968) and I can't imagine that anything we did would be particularly more or less suited for boys or girls. Actually we mostly sat around in a basement learning how to tie knots and that's why I quit because it was boring as fuck. The older kids (both genders) got to do more advanced stuff though, like outdoor survival, trekking and, I shit you not, building a full sized ferris wheel out of trees. Maybe Dillweed feels that ferris wheel building is unbecoming for proper ladies or something.

Dillweed probably thinks all women are good for is to pop out babies when it is time to, cater to men's needs, stroke a man's ego, and make a man look good. No need to improve herself or be a strong independent woman without a man to help her.
