 I have two kids in college. Both of them got fall breaks (and called them that).  I’ve heard the term many times. It’s not a long break like spring break.

Oh, I'll be optimistic and say, maybe it's a bit of both. I can see how Jill's million+ SM followers would be like catnip to someone who wants to build an MLM biz. If that woman has drunk the MLM koolaid, she's probably gonna move heaven and earth to build her downlines including cultivating Jill. OTOH she could also be a kind person who gets along with Jill and is fine with sharing some informal visits and play dates. She may not even realize what a big deal that could be to someone who grew up Duggar.

It seems to be something new, now that most classes start in August and the schools are all on semesters.  I saw several young women for annual exams who were home from school on Fall Break.  It seems to be  4-5 day break centered around Columbus day, from what they told me.

Of course, when I was in med school, we didn't really follow the school calendar, other than pay tuition according to it.  We would get long weekends after exams in the didactic portion of it, but, once we started clinics, we only got the major federal holidays and were expected to be there every other day unless specifically told otherwise by the attending directing the rotation we were currently doing.

I guess Law School follows the same academic calendar as undergrad.

I have zero faith that this new friend of Jill’s has any genuine interest in her. Jill is too naive to realize she’s being used to shill over priced, mediocre skincare.

Not proofreading before she posts. I don't know how anyone does social media on their phones. I have to retype half my text messages to get them right and they're usually 4-8 words max.

I'd have a hard time trying to persuade people to spend $250 on a gadget that probably is less effective than a three dollar metal thingy available in any drugstore or Walmart. I wouldn't post photos of extracting blackheads either. If Jill is going to do this, she should double dip and advertise some fabulous Lemon and Lemonade top that's perfect for the occasion.

Would it kill Dillweed to slow down when they were walking over the bridge  so Izzy wouldn't  have to do a run walk to keep up with him? I also think Izzy would have been better off wearing sneakers rather than flimsy flip flops with a toe piece.  I kept waiting for him to either trip & fall flat on his face or pass out from trying to talk and keep up with his run walk.  Poor little guy.

Lemon Pepper Baked Chicken

Oct 23, 2019 | Recipes | 2 

My sister, Jinger, makes a yummy baked chicken that inspired this version of baked chicken that has become one of our favorites! Using chicken with the bone (vs. boneless) and basting with soy sauce makes it so moist! 

10 lbs Chicken leg quarters, refrigerated (about 10 pieces)

Soy sauce

Lemon pepper seasoning

Pat leg quarters dry with paper towels. Fill 2 large baking sheets with chicken. Baste chicken generously with soy sauce and sprinkle with lemon pepper. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes, then raise temperature to 400 and back an additional 10 minutes.

I simply can't believe how bad she is at this. 10 lbs of chicken? 10 lbs of chicken = 10 pieces? Baste with soy sauce?

Even if she just meant 10 pieces, that's insane. There are FOUR PEOPLE in your family Jill and two of them are very small children. Even if I were to cut her some slack on her inability to resize her recipes from "cell block size" to "family size" there is absolutely nothing to proportionately re-size -- just reduce the number of pieces of chicken.

I assumed she was buying the 10 lb bags of frozen hind quarters. When they're available the stores around here sell them for $5 or $6. They've already been allowed to thaw and have been refrozen, so you can't just pull out 5 of them for a single meal. 

OTOH, my daughter always cooks for a crowd and usually half of what she cooks get tossed because nobody here eats leftovers.

How come our girl Jill didn't get a sit down with Michelle over that nose piercing?  Why does Jinger get ALL the attention?  Jilly Muffin didn't get much press over her piercing AND she wore pants first.  Hello, Michelle?  No sit down? 

Only us snarkers give Jill any love. 😁 Jill has pages and pages written about her here. We talk about her clothes, read her recipes and worry about her kids.  We even analyze what is wrong with Derick's jaw and puzzle over why he pukes when he exercises. We even wished kooky Cathy well with her cancer battle too.  I'm beginning to think we love Jill more than her own mother. At least we noticed the nose piercing and talked about it. 

No wonder Jill is the way she is.  She has the Marcia Marcia Marcia Syndrome. 😉

I was going to post the exact same thing about poor Izzy having to hustle to keep up with Derick walking in that stupid video. Does he not realize that the boy's legs are much shorter than his own? Yes, he needed proper footwear yet again...properly fitting sneakers and socks for that walk. He must suffer with blisters in his little feet because of those idiot parents. What's wrong with them?
