Sew Sumi March 15, 2016 Share March 15, 2016 (edited) I think the "new place" sounds like the place they bought before Joshgate I...the place that JB sold to that trust set up by the family friend when they got wind that there might be a lawsuit. That place is about 20 miles from the TTH. For all the talk the family spouts of forgiveness, they likely don't trust Smuggles as far as they can toss his lardass. I doubt Boob is going to let Smugs stray that far without a male accountability partner for a long, long time. They're either in the guest house or the pool house. Probably the former, since they do a ton of filming there; Smugs can be easily be checked on without having to make a special trip next door on some phony pretext. queenanne March 15, 2016 Share March 15, 2016 This is exactly what I was afraid was happening. This isn't something Anna is concocting because she's a idiot. I guarantee for the last 8 months both her family and the Duggars have been drilling into her that she is responsible for his fall and it's up to her to make sure it doesn't happen again. Most people who are cheated on go through a period of self-esteem issues. It's not at all unusual for a woman especially to think if she just cooked better meals, lost more weight, did her hair differently etc. it wouldn't have happened. But most women also have friends and family telling her it's not her fault that her husband was a cheating asshole. In this case her support system, and I use that term loosely, spend their time telling her that she is responsible for his actions. After all she is supposed to be responsible for his internet use. So the porn - that's on her for not stopping that. And she knows he would never have had to stray if she had been the wife God expects her to be. UGH - makes me want to barf just typing it in a sarcastic tone. I just want to take Anna and her adorable kids far, far away from these horrible people. Which is ridiculous, not that it ever stopped someone's bruised heart from hurting, but I usually look at these women levelly and say "Honey, men have cheated on supermodels." I'm really hoping this article is total b.s. and the Inquisitr just cherry picked details they read on the forums and turned it into a story. Otherwise, the whole situation is even more deranged than we thought. Interesting though, if Anna and Josh are living on their own. I would've figured they'd be chained to the TTH for at least a year. yeah, I was thinking, "I could've written that article", which is probably a lot of how the Inquisitr gets said stories. "What would people expect to hear?... Oh, *I* know!" 5 Link to comment

VioletNevermind March 15, 2016 Share March 15, 2016 I've been following this family (alongside many of you both here and back at TWoP) for a long, long time. I didn't think I could feel any worse about this situation than I did last year when all hell broke loose. I'm legitimately sick over the fact that Josh's young victims were around the same age that his kids are now. Granted, I don't understand how the pedophile brain works, but would the fact that they're his own children necessarily stop him from having lustful feelings or, even worse, acting on them? How on earth can CPS ignore this family now that he's home? Josh has proven himself to be a skillful liar not once, but many, many times. His lies run the gamut from molestation to cheating on his wife (with porn stars, no less). How on earth does one "heal" from urges like that? Not to disparage anyone's religion or choices in rehab facilities, but there isn't enough Jesus to drive those thoughts out of a pedophile's mind as far as I'm concerned. The person I feel most sorry for is Anna. That poor girl won't even be able to relax long enough to leave her kids alone with their father for a couple of minutes while she goes to the bathroom, to say nothing of fulfilling her "wifely duties" after they're in bed. The best thing she could have done would have been to return home to her family with the kids and tell the Duggars to kiss her ass. If Josh wanted to see the kids when he returned home from his "rehab," he could have done it under constant, close supervision. Of course, she would have been ensconced in the same ultra-religious cocoon, but at least she would have gotten some distance from those fucking Duggars. Of course, that's easy for me to say. I can't imagine how she must feel. 12 Link to comment

SMama March 15, 2016 Share March 15, 2016 SuzyLee, I wish with all my heart that Anna is as torn and vigilant as you describe, and I'm sure you would be. Sadly, I had too many mothers in my caseload over the years that were unable or unwilling to accept the fact that their spouse was molesting their child(ren). The most common reaction was not to believe the child, and I often heard, "he is a good provider, we have a roof over our heads, and food on the table." You'd be surprised that even with CPS at their door (along with law enforcement), how many mothers just do not get it. 10 Link to comment

becca3891 March 16, 2016 Share March 16, 2016 He's probably busy trying to save his sister. She's gotten kind of out of hand lately :-) She was in a couple of Hallmark Christmas movies this past year where she did NOT use a body double for the kiss at the end. The harlot! Oh Anna:( http://www.inquisitr.com/2885523/anna-duggar-treating-josh-like-hero-returning-from-war-losing-weight-for-him/ Just the first paragraph from the article makes me ill: "Anna Duggar reportedly planned a hero’s welcome for her husband after he completed his stint at a Christian treatment center. However, while Anna’s love and admiration for Josh Duggar has not been diminished by his unfaithfulness, the mother of four is reportedly worried that her husband isn’t completely committed to altering his behavior. According to a recent report, Anna believes that it is now her responsibility to keep Josh from going astray, and she thinks that she can prevent her husband from cheating again by changing the way she looks." I hope this isn't true -- but the Gothard weight stuff most certainly is, and that alone makes me see red. For one thing, it's so one-sided. Jill Rodrigues prattles on about "keeping trim" and not a word about her overweight husband. They at least pretend that sex is supposed to be mutually enjoyable, so why the idea that only women are supposed to be thin? It's all down to Gothard's fetish, as there are plenty of men who are just as happy with a woman who is not stick thin. For all his faults, Gil Bates is very affectionate with Kelly, and she's probably a size 20. It's just a built-in excuse that makes it very handy for serial cheaters. You don't have to be a conservative Christian to believe that there's more to a relationship than your partner looking like a supermodel. And good point, whoever said that supermodels and Hollywood actresses routinely get cheated on! What would Gothard say to that? Poor, poor Anna. 4 Link to comment

It all makes me stabby. 4 Link to comment

The person (people) who run the Cancel the Duggar FB page figured out that one of the "writers" for this publication also runs a Duggar fan page on FB, THEN comes onto the "Cancel" site trying to play both sides of the fence. Then people get reported and put in FB jail. I don't interact with fan pages, but the "Cancel" pages can only name this author by her first name, lest a search be made, etc. I am not inciting leghumper idiocy, just letting people know that some people out there are not as they seem and are posing as "writers." cereality March 20, 2016 Share March 20, 2016 Poor girl -- I wish she had just one normal, modern/progressive woman in her life who could say "once a cheater, always a cheater" on a daily basis until she believed it. For most women, if their family can't/won't say that, then most women have a friend or even a coworker who will step up and say what needs to be said. Sadly Anna is surrounded by al fundies who believe that it's always the wife's fault if the husband unzips his pants with someone else. I think Amy is the only close to normal person around them who'd say what needs to be said, and yet I don't think Amy and Anna hang or are allowed to hang all the time unsupervised. What have they told their kids re where Daddy is? Mac and Michael are old enough to ask where daddy is and why he had to leave and can never visit. Is there a courtship in the works for Joy?? Kind of seems that way from that trailer linked to the inquister article. Beyond inappropriate for Anna to say -- Joy you won't tell me if you have a guy, so what kind of guy do you want. Uh -- better than the one you got and one who can provide without cleaning toilets for my father, and oh yeah -- one who doesn't unzip for anyone but me!? Missy Vixen March 20, 2016 Share March 20, 2016 Struggling over what, exactly? It seems ludicrous that any of his siblings would care that much if Josh cheated on his wife. They have their show back, after all. (Vomit). The adult children of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have been repeatedly told that their sisters' molestation was no big deal. It was "over the clothes". They were "asleep". They suffered no ill effects. Allegedly. And the victims were commanded to "forgive" their molester, while telling their daughters that any female who does not come to the marriage bed pure is worse than a "used Kleenex". They also (allegedly) told their daughters it was their fault that their brother molested them. There was no healing for those young women. There's still not. And as long as they continue to be subjected to the same religiously insane rhetoric from both parents, they will continue believing they are at fault. Many molestation victims struggle with what happened to them long into adulthood and most for their entire lives, but again, Jim Boob and J-Chelle know better than those with the educational and professional credentials to speak to such an issue. I do not have those educational or professional credentials, but I am willing to bet that the faux anger and betrayal over Joshley Madison's extra-marital adventures is projection. It's a safe rebellion. If these children (and let's face it, they're still children; their parents won't allow them to be self-sufficient adults) ever figure out that their parents threw them under the bus time and time again for their own self-enrichment, they're going to put things together (at last) and it will be the end of the Duggar family. At the very least, one or more of the children will decide their own peace of mind is more important than continuing to spend time with or appearing on the family teevee show. This is what I keep coming back to: I can't imagine being commanded to "forgive" a sibling that committed an assault on me. Repeatedly. That sibling has been shielded and protected from his behavior throughout his sisters' lives. They're still doing it. And he's now being defended by the wife he wronged so terribly as well. 11 Link to comment

The fact that their son's life is in shambles and his family is in turmoil never crossed their minds. Anything for a buck, right duggars? Eta: it's tlc, not TCL. That's my work software. Minivanessa March 22, 2016 Share March 22, 2016 (edited) And LMAOPIMP at TLC's "insistence" that Joshley Madison will not be appearing on camera. They cancelled 19KAC, waited until the heat died down after insisting they wouldn't be featuring the family again, and re-branded. Presto! Show's back. WITH Jim Boob and J-Chelle. Because after all, TLC is as honest as the Duggars are, which is not at all. Joshley Madison will be appearing on that show the second the ratings drop. Mark my words. And we'll be treated to more BS "healing" as a result. They have a $24 million write-down to recoup! What's a little normalization of child molestation when there's MONEY involved?!?!? I can totally see that happening. Assuming that Josh can hold it together and walk through™ the "I was a sinner, and now I'm redeemed, and I'm here to testify as to the power of Jesus in my heart" thing. IMO fundie Christians eat that sh*t up with a spoon. So does the general public, hence the audience for shows like Intervention. Although the general public tends to expect to see actual, you know, different behavior from an addict, like not drinking/using anymore, vs. just listen to the addict preaching. The faithful don't bring so much skepticism to the pews, when you're peddling a "Jesus saved me from Satan" story. Plus, Josh has served the six months in Jesus Jail, which lends credibility to any redemption story he wants to spin for a receptive audience. Sending him there was a stroke of genius on JimBob's part. He knows his audience - the fundies for sure, and maybe TLC. Now, whether Josh is capable of, or willing to, do the "I was a sinner, but Jesus saved me" thing, who knows? He could have emerged from Jesus Jail in worse shape emotionally than when he went in. Marigold March 22, 2016 Share March 22, 2016 I bet Josh's life is hell. A devastated wife, four little kids (they are not bad things but kids can be stressful!), national disgrace, angry Jim Bob, his kinks exposed, no smart phone, can't go out alone, his siblings are pretending/trying to forgive him but they are grossed out by him and damaged by his behavior as a teen, humiliation, no job, no education, stuck at home, no computer, NO NOTHING. I'm surprised josh is still standing... 12 Link to comment

Barb23 March 22, 2016 Share March 22, 2016 I'm sure Jim Bob and Michelle will be their marriage counselors. How can you argue with their thirty years of married bliss? And the counseling sessions will probably be held in the frozen yogurt shop. 7 Link to comment

bigskygirl March 22, 2016 Share March 22, 2016 I admit I cannot stand Josh and what he stands for, but I wish someone(s) could sneak in the Duggar compound and rescue him, Anna, and the kids. They need real help and not the crappy pray away the sins, bury your head in the sand, blame Satan for what Josh did while pretending everything is peachy keen in your life famewhoring ways on TLC.
