The little wooden cake people look miserable.  Would have been cute to have them kissing.  They don't even want to look at each other.  Maybe they didn't like the cake either.  I still think it looks like Josie made it in her easy bake oven and threw some fruit on it.  The roses are the only classy thing on it.

Anyone catch that hand lettered wooden sign--"....Jinger will do Jeremy good and not evil all the days of her life"  Huh?  WTF kind of gift item is that?  It sounds to me like they are saying "Jinger will be a good wife not like that evil bitch who was his first wife."

what first wife?

Very true. I prefer colors to have some sort of cohesive theme to them...so, say all jewel tones, or something, especially with multiple colors. If it were just two colors, then to my eye a big contrast looks great, but three or more and it all looks discordant to me without an obvious unifying theme.

Yeah, I don't mind mixing colours, but when you mix colour families AND intensities it doesn't work (Jewel, earth, pastel all mixed?).

And I wondered if she might have put that shoe (singular) on for the photo because they only had one at the thrift store ...

Love that she wore some heels for her wedding, but I just think the ones she chose looked cheap instead of fun.

Loved her dress, her veil, her hair and her makeup. I didn't like Jeremy's tie. To me the tie looked like something more for a job interview. For a bride with a cathedral type train I would expect a groom with a more formal look.

Love the bouquet, cake and little cake people.

It's still quite a jump in evolution for a Duggar wedding.

Now that Jeremy has his nympho wife adoring him 24/7, how long before he looks for the 'off' button. I imagine Derelict just snickering when Jeremy needs to do something independently and his Dugg is trailing along behind him.

Bless JillyRod's heart.  I do mean that this time.  She posted the wedding invitation - they did go.  The wedding was at 2 pm PLUS she says they went to church with the Duggars on Sunday to the Duggars' church and it's a real church with a real pastor.

I just read that blog post and it was hilarious. My favorite detail was the "we hooked our RV up in [the Duggars'] driveway."

I'm just envisioning this and this from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation happening this weekend at the Duggars' house, and I can't stop laughing thinking about it.

I wonder if she might have put those shoes on for that photo, but wore something more comfortable, easier-to-walk-in for the ceremony. Cuz unless she's been wearing heels like that a lot over the years, I find it hard to believe she could have successfully walked in them.  I wouldn't be able to, but I've never worn heels more than an inch or two, and then only occasionally.

On the other hand, since you apparently get relieved of all your chores once you're courting, she could have spent all day and night practicing the walk during her courtship.

When I started to write that, I thought I was joking. But having written it, I'm beginning to think it sounds plausible.

It reminds me of the colors you'd find in a painting -- like a warm interior with figures or a still life, in oils, probably 18th century or early 19th. I see it as a palette just like the palette of a painting  -- a bit of the unexpected, a bit of highlight, some background color and shade, but still altogether a deep but subtle harmony. I can't believe I'm this taken with something the Duggars did. But I really love those colors -- I find them to be not the colors of decor, following the rules of decor, which is what you usually find in clothing, but the colors of art. And I can't believe I'm saying that either.

Well, we asked for the receipts, and she showed them to us. They were actually there!

As wacko as she is, I kind of love her for grifting off the Duggars and plugging that big RV into their power supply. As chintzy cheap as Jim Bob is, I hope she tripled their electric bill and over flowed their sewers. That is hilarious to me.

When you have the ability to make Michelle look like the sane, reasonable on in the room, you know you're a nut.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand this means the Rods were at the after party.

i wonder if they drained their sewage tank like Cousin Eddie....

Hopefully on the side of the Dug's TTH Mansion extraordinaire just like when the Dugs went to visit The Bates!

I wonder if she sold and Plexus during the after party?  I hope we eventually get more candid photos of the event.

I know off subject but what is Plexus? I think Alyssa Bates sells it too.

This - I'm finding things that I would do differently for my own personal wedding, but overall everything looks good, and downright perfect compared to the previous Duggar weddings. The colors of the dresses look more enhanced in the later People spreads than in some of the Duggar family pics, so this may be a photoshop issue.

The cake - i'm still fawning over that cake. I may have to go out and get a normal sized, one layer cake for this Sunday.

The "Little People" toppers - not my style, but went with the cake. Of course they had painted on, hard helmet hair. They are wooden. Of course they're made to look like the Bride and Groom. Cake toppers usually are. I'm glad they weren't one of those with a ball and chain, or the bride dragging the groom, etc. Those are so tacky to me.

The signs - those were the couple's names inserted into real Bible verses. I don't think it was weird or slamming anyone else. I actually think saying Jeremy would love Jinger as Christ loved the church, and that she would honor him and do good and not evil, was romantic. Nothing about obeying or headships, etc. Just love.

I had weird control vibes from him, and from Jessa sort of thrusting them together, (I don't trust her - she's the kind who would be miserable, and then insist on forcing everyone else to be miserable too, ha HA!), but I really I'm wrong, and Jinger has hit the jackpot with the husband who will stand up a little to JimBob.

Plexus is another MLM (pyramid sales) product that is huge on the church circuit. Stuff you put into drinks (not booze, just water, etc.) to improve health. Supposed to have mixes that cure what ails you. Helps with weight loss, allergies, nutrition, arthritis, whatever you've got, there's a Plexus fix. Church people love it, because it's another venture women can do from home, or couples can do in addition to real jobs. Plus, church groups create a built in audience for those plexus parties, etc., where you sample the stuff and buy it. Same concept as selling essential oils, Pampered Chef, Younique, Mary Kay, Thrive, Lula Roe, Body by Vii, etc.

Yeah, I knew it was some kind of MLM but had no clue what Plexus did. My coupon friend that belongs to a mega church was talking about some powdered crap she was taking. She seems like the person that can easily be conned into taking it too. It must be making it's way across the US. Lots of gullible people out there.

I honestly can't keep Plexus, Thrive and Zeal apart, but I know I've been invited to about a dozen 'parties' this month alone. I think sellers get church directories and just start sending invites. Also AdvoCare

I have to say Jinger has good taste. I absolutely love the cake.

I also like the bouquet and the color palette of the bridesmaids dresses.  I like how the rustic autumn theme includes unexpected colors and details like grapes, strawberries and white roses. Gives it a very fresh and unique feel.

It is hilarious as usual.  She's so transparent.  Jrod obviously feels the Duggars are second only to JC in heaven.  Love how she claims that fame hasn't gone to their heads since it definitely has gone to her head in her perception of the most beautiful Mother of the Bride Michelle that she has ever seen.  They were barely allowed inside the house from the sounds of it.  The R's probably felt like royalty just being in their driveway.  She'll save that freaking invitation until the day she dies no doubt, showing everyone proof that she was invited.

Long time lurker first time snarker

I can't get over how ill fitting the bridesmaid dresses are, Joy's dress really stands out to me as not being correctly or even altered at all

The bridesmaid dresses seemed too long as they looked like they were almost stepping on them in a few pictures.  Maybe they weren't altered, maybe just grabbed the closest size off the rack?

This would be the Duggar approach. Either alter it by sewing a sheet onto the hem and a dish towel into the neckline. Or don't bother to alter it at all. Kind of sums them up.

I liked Jinger's dress, but I think that style called for something a little more formal wrt the men's attire.  I like the colored bridal shoe, only her shoe didn't seem bridal--more Shoe Carnival. Cheap. This also applies to the casual wedges the bridesmaids wore. Someone please tell the people ballet flats could be an option. There's a wide range of options between barefeet and casual summer wedges. Satin ballet flats lie within that range. The cake and and the wedding people on top were cute, but once again, didn't fit the dress. In so many ways the dress sets the tone for the feeling of the cake, decor, the men's attire, bridal party, etc. IMHO the dress seemed more formal than absolutely everything else in the wedding. At least Jinger looked lovely--and clean, which is more than we can usually say about a Duggar.

Michelle and Jimbo were a hot ass mess.

Yum. Pickled okra and cake.

Fundie famewhore prize in her eyes. Wonder which kid she pimped out to other families? She scares me with her comments that her kids are soooooo "obedient." She refers to them as though they are little doggies ready to go to another master's house.

The grapes were my favorite thing. Not what you'd expect, but very nice touch.

Maybe Jinger was considerate enough to not chain Jana to a sewing machine for alterations. I think they just changed shoes, so the dresses looked to long in some pics.

oh and that picture of joy (above with tori maybe) is gorgeous. her dress looks like it fits very nicely.

Just by looking at these photos you know that his family had input or what the wedding should be like. I  bet Blob was frothing from the mouth that is father officiated.

Those aren't the groomsmen. Those are the Howlers, who served as ushers. Only JD was IN  the wedding. The guys wore gray suits with blue polka dot ties.

For whoever asked above: the girl next to Hannie is Jenni Hartono. She's a grad student at Pensacola Christian College. She and her brothers (all PCC students) hang out at the Duggars' a lot since it's too far for them to travel home during most school breaks (they're from Indonesia). Jana and JD met the Hartonos on a Gothard mission trip there years ago. Remember Jana not wanting to ride the elephant? That trip.
