Even if they did put Julian and Alexis back together, there’s nowhere for them to go. They would either be happy and backburnered or still having the same issues they had before. That couple isn’t like Sonny and Carly, who get screentime despite not having much going on. 

I’d be in for the messiness of a Julian and BL hookup if they have chemistry but I think WDV is delusional if he thinks he can get most of his actual fans on board with it when they weren’t into his pairing with Kim even before she went crazy. Most of them are sick of Julian being the town punching bag and this would just give the other characters another reason to attack him. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were gearing up for a Julian exit soon

It's weird because they seemingly rehired WDV because they were cowed by the Julian/Alexis fan base, but then have resisted just pulling the trigger on putting them back together.

Because this is a soap opera, I would be okay if Julian/Alexis get back together.  

But I see the appeal of a Julian/Brooklyn pairing. because it would make Sonny's head explode.

Apparently they were going to put them back together but NLG requested they slow it down. And then Julian/Kim happened and I guess FV managed to slow it way way down lol.

I don't think Nancy has wanted it since The Dagger What Killed Me Mum. I think everything since has been half-hearted talk to placate her fanbase. I don't blame her.

I feel the same way. NLG hasn’t flat out trashed the pairing but her responses to fans asking about Julexis have been lukewarm since that scene happened and she gushes over Neil and says how much she loves working with JF. She made a point of saying that she wanted the DV addressed if they got back together and I don’t think the show’s interested in acknowledging it.

Again, off the top of my head probably Nikolas, but bear in mind I have no idea if the new guy can act and I only occasionally watch clips these days so I have virtually no clue what is going on.

You are right of course, but soaps don't really go there.  I mean, if the chem is on fire it would work, but it's Michael, so that's not gonna happen, lol.

Huh, I was expecting the Tracy visit for Thanksgiving, but the EW article makes it sound like more of a Christmas thing.

However, the article also makes it sound like more a mini-stint versus a one-off appearance.

I am so excited to have Tracy back, so looking forward to seeing her with Brook, and hopefully she takes the time to drag a Corinthos.

I really dislike NLG's acting style and thus I dislike Alexis.  She is not Michelle Stafford level of bad, but she annoys me in almost the same way.

Didn't NLG love the whole Julexis thing?  And then she got pissed off at WDV over something that was said on twitter?  And then she decided she didn't love Julexis anymore?  Cause she was def into it before that.

I actually like her with new guy and I think Julexis should be done and buried.

I can understand not liking NLG, even though I do like her. Like Michelle Stafford, she has a strong, distinctive style. I usually find Stafford crude and amateurish in the way she uses that style, whereas NLG has more finesse and her characters are plausible people. But if someone just doesn't like what NLG does, the opinion likely won't change. She's nothing if not consistent.

With regard to Julexis, NLG has always been a bit mercenary and changeable about her pairings. She likes to be part of popular ones that keep her in the vicinity of the front burner, and Julexis has more of a fan base than some of her earlier pairings. But she did say in an interview a few years ago that while she appreciated the support for "Julexis," if there wasn't any "Ju-" anymore, she hoped people would stick with Alexis.   

I also remember her trashing the Ned pairing when she was pushing for Sonny/Alexis. She didn't hold back about finding it boring. There was nothing negative about Wally Kurth, but if he saw her remarks, they couldn't have made him happy. (He liked Nexis.)

Marcus Coloma has done a solid job with what they've given him. I was impressed enough with him to watch a long interview that's up on YouTube (from well before he was cast as Nikolas), and he has an interesting story that's probably a common one. He's been kicking around Los Angeles for 20 years. Ironically, his first screen credit was in 1999, the year they recast Nikolas the first time. History might have been different. In that time, he's appeared in all sorts of things, including guest spots on very popular shows like CSI, short-lived series remembered by few, pilots that didn't get picked up. In lean times, he's had to take regular jobs to get by.

So even though he's a new face to a lot of GH viewers (including me), and he looks young for 41, he's a veteran who's used to hitting the ground running and fitting into the tone of different shows, and I think that's apparent in his work. That's why you're not seeing a lot of comments about his acting being terrible. What negativity there has been about Nikolas has mostly been about the way the character is being written, or from Tyler fans disappointed it isn't him.

This part, in particular, rang true, since we've heard about it being said and done before: "Nevertheless, Braun suspected Kim’s time at GH would come to a close. She thought Kim’s attempt to drug Drew into sleeping with her was “so out of character.” Even so, Braun was a bit taken aback since Executive Producer Frank Valentini made promises he never delivered on. “Well, I was a little surprised, because weeks before, Frank told me that I had a really big story coming up that he was really excited about,” Braun said."

I can’t think of a way that they could have kept Kim on long term. There’s too much competition among actresses in her age range and she was too tied to Oscar. I was more surprised that they didn’t let her go 6 months ago when he died. They didn’t bother to develop her as a character beyond him and she wasn’t tied to anyone that the show is/was invested in, just Drew and Julian. I do agree that they should have written her as a villain because making her a victim who can’t control her actions due to grief just made everyone hate her.

That's the kind of CDL article I believe, because they're reporting on an interview someone else did, with actual quotes that are sourced. 

Braun was asked about Kim drugging Drew Cain (Billy Miller) and trying to force him to make a baby with her. She admitted that was a negative turning point, and she knew it’d be hard to recover from. Braun said, “Yeah, actually that was the first time that I was like, ‘Oh, they’re going to write me off.’” She explained that she shared her suspicions with co-star William deVry (Julian Jerome), who tried to shut down her concerns.

He probably said, "I held a knife to my wife's throat and I'm still here!" 

I wonder how he feels about her exit.

That storyline was intended to lead to Julian’s exit so he probably had some idea. WdV’s contract wasn’t initially renewed in 2017 but he got rehired later that year, supposedly due to fan outcry.

And, Julian & Alexis never recovered. It’s funny how anything isn’t impossible on a soap but the knife to Alexis throat seems to be something the show can’t come back from. It sorta blows my mind. Even I couldn’t accept Alexis taking him back and these are fake people we’re talking about. LOL!!!!

I got over Julian holding a knife to Alexis’ throat but that scene where he fantasied about drowning her in their bathtub was too much for me. It was one of the most shocking scenes I’ve seen in daytime in a long time and I think that scene made the Olivia retcon a lot harder to swallow.

Considering how this show phased out other actresses in NLG's age range, I can't fault her for this. And, to be honest, I always thought Ned/Alexis was boring as hell, too. (Which is why, when the Mixed Marrieds happened so long ago, and Jax/Alexis was being written for (seemingly against Wendy Riche's wishes!), I really hoped they were going somewhere because I saw some sparks.) But I was against Sonny/Alexis, because...Sonny. LOL! But again, that probably had a lot to do with NLG knowing Sonny was a front-burner character and wanting her character to remain relevant, so...

The article makes it seem like something big was supposed to come up after the Kim and Franco stuff. I got the impression that Kim’s exit was a last minute change in direction and that they didn’t expect the reaction to be so negative so I’m wondering if the the speculation about Kim’s pregnancy was true.

Even if she did, there’s no way she would follow through so I don’t think it would matter. She does get overly defensive about WR though. I don’t get why she feels the need to comment about the status and she doesn’t seem to realize that he doesn’t play a popular character.

Yes, they've been a pretty low-interest couple. I haven't even seen them get a couple name like "Pex." 

Peter sort of has a story, but they hit pause on it last week. He had been on a decent amount leading up to that, but the story was just his trying to stay ahead of all his secrets coming out, and Robert, Jason and Sam getting more and more suspicious of him.
