What an incredibly honest and loving tribute.  Bravo, Jason Thompson.

Billy Miller, you will be so missed.

Thanks, Sake614, for sharing that.

That was a good tribute. I didn’t realize that the two had worked together. How honest and kind of Jason to admit that he would fear for his job at times because Billy Miller was that good. I’ve seen a lot of actors praising him. It seemed that everyone loved working with him.

I think we all always held out secret hope that someday he'd return to reprise the best Billy we've ever known.

I never stopped wishing and hoping he would return as AFAIC, he is the OneTrueBilly in my heart.

He brought such an energy and light to the show with that almost-ever-present twinkle in his eye. The chemistry he had with everyone, including Amelia (who had never had chemistry like that before and hasn't since).

Pretty sure they are really laughing in this scene, where he recreated the tiki bar from their getaway in their living room.

And who could resist that smirk?

But he could also bring it in the serious moments like Delia's death.

I am just at a loss and completely gutted by this. 💔

Soap Opera Digest recently interviewed Josh Griffith (Y&R Executive Producer/Head Writer) and it was an eye-opener. JG apparently thinks he's daytime TV's Shakespeare and Edgar Allen Poe all wrapped up into one. The article is posted here:

Exclusive: YOUNG AND RESTLESS's Josh Griffith On The Eve Shocker!

As example of the interview's what the whatery, there was this exchange (bold part = SOD question):

Quote

What was the significance of the creepy doll Nikki found on her bed? “It was a deep clue I added that turned out to be a little too obscure for even my wife to figure out! I kept going, ‘It’s right there! It’s right there for you!’ It was a Victorian doll, so Victorian/Victoria.”

Oh FFS, it might as well have been a Bratz doll if no one without a certain historical knowledge of dolls would get the reference. I mean, doesn't this look just like Victoria:

I'd posit the interview proved the Peter Principle is still in effect. JG has arguably reached his highest level of incompetence in the soap opera business.

He was compared to the late Douglas Marland, a great writer for As the World Turns in an interview. He's getting too big for his britches.

Caught a glimpse at what some of the Yr actresses wore to the Emmy’s and all I scan say is they are in serious need of stylists!

I'll say; then again, I didn't see all that many.  But MS dressed exactly like Phyllis would.  Seems her taste is as questionable as the show's Wardrobe Department.  She resembled a walking Praying Mantis. Bless her heart.

Oh! I wonder if the actresses borrowed their "looks" from the Wardrobe Dept?  That would explain a lot.

Maybe she really IS Phyllis??

OH MY GOD, it's like one of those dreams where you're walking down the street in your underwear, except MS really was walking down a red carpet in her underwear.

One my local broadcast channels is airing all romantic Christmas TV movies all the time right now. I happened to catch the beginning of a typical one called The Christmas Sitters.

It held my attention for a bit because of who popped up: Melissa Ordway (Abby) and her husband Justin Gaston. They aren't the stars of the movie; the characters they play mostly help set up the premise.

Those who remember Abby and Chance's wedding might also recall that MO's husband was brought in as a temporary replacement to portray Chance.

Unless you're a glutton for punishment, bored out of your mind, or a huge fan of MO and/or her husband, I don't recommend this movie. 👎

Hello, everyone!

In the spirit of the Holidays I thought I should watch a few episodes. I loved CZ on ATWT but couldn’t master the courage to watch an imprisoned and now drunk (again!) Nikki.

I would’ve preferred CZ as a recurrIng corporate mogul since Y&R can’t get over the corporate aspect which is rinse, repeat, boring with Tucker being the villain, again and Kyle being an annoying ping pong ball.  At least she would’ve given the joint some much needed class.

Speaking of rinse repeat, although I don’t mind Cricket, Danny is so cringe and Phyllis butting in… Yuck.

It was nice to see Lauren and Michael (and the actor looking so healthy), although they looked quite orange on my screen - bed scenes require it apparently.

I don’t know why I expected better of Christmas episodes.

Wishing you all a wonderful New Year filled with health and laughter.

ETA: Just realized I posted this in the wrong thread (facepalm). My apologies.

The worst thing about that dress is the big plates covering her breasteses. They should match her skin tone. Horrible.

That was my thought. I think she would have looked very good and pulled the look off, (it pains me to say that) if she had done the boobs correctly. And also not done the hip hugger bloomers.

A Chancellor in Wisconsin has been fired for making porn videos. Know upfront that it's not Chance, lol.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

UW-La Crosse Chancellor Joe Gow fired for appearing in porn videos

According to the article

Quote

No university property or funds were used to create the books or videos, Gow said. He created the content on his own personal time and spent more on production costs than the "minimal" money the videos have earned through the websites.

Gow also stated that there were no references to his employer or his job title in the videos which have been posted to multiple porn websites. His co-star is his wife, whose involvement has been consensual.

First, the fired guy's initials are "J.G.", tee hee. (Take a hint, Fates.)

Second, I have viewed a few seconds of one of the videos for research purposes and found it rather basic. The couple is in great shape for people aged 60ish though.

Why am I thinking this could be turned into a funny storyline for Tucker and Phyllis?

I wish wish wish wish WISH she'd worn granny panties.

After all, it's only fair.

I don't even want to form a mental image of Tucker and Phyllis starring in a porn video.

I said what I said. I want there to be Phyllis & Tucker porn channel running 24/7. And none of that vanilla crap, it better be hard-core XXX. AFAIC, if they're going to be treated by the good citizens of GC as garbage nobody wants, they should lean into it.

Meanwhile I'm trying to understand why all the concern about MS' unfortunate sartorial choices. Either she gets dressed in the dark or she doesn't have mirrors at home. She almost deserves our sympathy. Almost.

According to Soap Central,

Daytime Emmy winner Mishael Morgan is returning to The Young and the Restless.

The article references Mishael Morgan's Instagram page, noting that

Quote

In the caption area, Morgan wrote, "Guess who's popping in for a visit!!!"

Morgan played the popular character Hilary who died due to a car accident. Then a year or so later she returned as Hilary's theretofore unknown twin sister, Amanda.

I'm a fan of MiMo but I have mixed feelings about this. Odds are Amanda will be propping her bestie Phyllis in some way and that's a meh for me.

Tom Ford had his Winter 24 show recently and there are a ton of posts on his IG from it.  A couple of posts feature celebrities like Uma Thurman, Amber Valletta, Sharon Stone, some people I never heard of, and then there was someone who looked so familiar, but I couldn't quite place....hey, it's Lola!!  She looks great, but very different, with much shorter hair and edgy as hell!  Good for her!
