I hope now Daryl gets over his lets trust everyone mode. He tried to help those stupid people and gets his crossbow and his bike stolen.

 

If that was Glenn, why couldn't we see how he survived instead of watching everyone talking nonsense?

I'm pretty sure this episode exists just to find a bazooka and a fuel truck.  At some point, someone is going to aim the fuel truck toward a zombie horde and then shoot it with a bazooka to make a really big boom.

I thought the episode was OK. I didn't like how the part with Daryl and the 3 strangers ended up. Obviously we will see them again, either dead or alive, or undead, as Daryl has got to get his crossbow back.

Really pissed at AMC for holding the preview for next week back until the commercial break in the show that I will not name, or EVER watch now, out of spite. Show a little respect for your audience!

I'm pretty sure this episode exists just to find a bazooka and a fuel truck.  At some point, someone is going to aim the fuel truck toward a zombie horde and then shoot it with a bazooka to make a really big boom.

Of course- that was the whole point of the guy telling the story of the burned up woods and the crispy walkers. How they were drawn to the fire and walked right in.

Well, that was... an episode.  So this group that the doublecrossers came from apparently will kill anything moving.  One minute they seem to be plentiful in the burnt out forest, the next, we're doing arm amputation (but keeping the watch because you can't just get a watch anywhere).  I'm guessing the doublecrossers are from a society like Bartertown in Mad Max - as long as they have something of worth to trade they will be kept safe.

 

Does everyone watch TWD with closed captioning?  Because I didn't hear anything intelligible at the end of the episode.  I did get a major rapey vibe from Abraham.  That dude is seriously fucked up in the head and has been since his introduction - almost seems like a character from Dr. Strangelove.

 

Ok, AMC - you're really starting to piss me off.  First of all you show more commercials than any other network - then you tried to force me to watch that pile of poo that was "Comic Book Men" a couple seasons ago.  Now you delay Talking Dead so I'll watch Kung Fu meets Revolution.  No thanks.

Yeah, but at some point we are going to have an episode from crossbow's point of view and the lesson it learns being wielded by a variety post apocalyptic people who couldn't hit a building from ten feet away before being reunited with Daryl.

It depends upon how much of Glenn is left I suppose. I think Daryl proved this episode why Aaron, despite leaving his backpack, was/is a better recruiter for Alexandria. Daryl's not a people reader.

  I hate the idea of hookups in the ZA, BUT Abe looked good in that tight T, and they are both more recently showered than most, so I approve.

I didn't understand why the guys in the truck confronted the group in the woods, and then turned around and...got back in their truck? Why didn't they attack right then? Why would they let the group out of their sight so that Daryl could get the whole group hidden somewhere. That could have been better edited..

 

I did wonder if they were trying to do some sort of Rick parallel with the group leader (Clay?) of the truck gang, who was only seen from the waist down from Daryl's POV. He had Rick's body type, cut off the limb of his injured friend, just like Rick has done, and was in general a calm, competent leader. Competent except for the whole losing the group they had just found, of course.... 

 

Has there been any foreshadowing whatsoever that Sasha and Abraham have an interest? This would have worked a lot better for me if I could think back to some look, some special moment, something where I could say, aaah, I see where they were going with that now. Instead, it's a thing because Abraham said so, and Sasha didn't deny. But it came out of nowhere.

AMC did this sort of shit in Breaking Bad's last season, for Low Winter Sun. The ads were relentless and I basically refused to watch the show on principle. I thought AMC learned their lesson from that; the show was cancelled quickly IIRC

Daryl, I hate to say it, but sorry Pookie, you really let your guard down. I really miss the old Daryl. The cynical snarking and quick temper....the Dixon attitude he and my beloved Merle shared. 

 But he's so damn gorgeous and someone as handsome as him is hard to criticize. He rocked the hell out of that leather jacket and I went wild when he stripped down to that vest...SWOON!

 

So this was the 4th Carol-less episode in a row....I am really missing the lovely Melissa Mcbride.

During their first night there, he stayed close to her.

That was shown when DeAnna came by, during her POV shot of then all together.

Wasn't anvilicious, but something was brewing between them.

Obviously the writers are now taking LSD to help "write" their episodes.

 

The couple was smart to turn on Daryl.  You spend any amount of time with CDB - you will die. 

 

They were smart enough to take out a horde of Zombies with a match.  Tina died within hours of meeting a founding member of CDB.  They figured out Daryl would only bring them bad luck, and decided to cut and run while they still could.

Whenever I saw Abraham's face I was silently yelling "Shave that thing around your mouth!". Is it the zombie equivalent of a pornstache? As if his behavior wasn't unbearable enough for me.

 

If Sasha and Abraham were a perfume, they'd be Eau de What the Fuck.

Seriously, I'm not against ships, but what's with all the (imo) sudden random couplings these past episodes? 

And I must really like Sasha more than I thought for not crossing her, too, off my "good character" book. "Business to take care of", really? What a respectful and non-callous way of calling breaking up with his girlfriend, who is at least your comrade if not your friend. 

Spencer is an ass, but he has a hot one so go get dat ass, Rosita! Maybe you can even make him a good survivor. One who would be more interested in weapons than in cigars (now, if it had been wine...).

 

Look, more new characters whom I don't give a flying fuck about. Oh, joy. No, really, I'm rejoicing, I just hide it very, very well.

I found Daryl's scenes alone more interesting than those with these people, where I spaced out -and completely at times. I think there were two groups, some Wolves, and the crossbow and bike stealing rats? I'm barely getting to know who is who in ASZ already.

 

And come on, Daryl can be more badass than that. I'm not even talking of being overpowered by a couple of morons and too nice for his own good because Plot dictated it. But why did he kill the driver walker with a simple knife, whereas he could have smashed his head with the door of the truck? That's it's signature move! I was so disappointed because I thought that at least, finally, something exciting would happen, a reference to past awesomeness for lack of current awesomeness, a bit of splashy gore to spice things up, anything!

 

I hope it's Glenn on the radio, because learning he's dead after all the dragging would infuriate me.

 

In the previews, Judith is in Carol's arms, which is probably the safest place of the ASZ and maybe the world, so I have hope she'll survive whatever happens next week.

I agree that it's Ron in the brown shirt, little shit is up to no good. I would forgive this week's nonsense if Carol and Michonne made a casserole out of him.

This show is really starting to lose me thanks to the last two episodes. And to think that I complained about the Morgan episode. And least that one had cute little Tabitha.

Why did Gimple think that this was a good way to plan out the season? Start with three action packed episodes. Then move on to Morgan's journey of self-actualization. Then we get an episode devoted to people in Alexandria that no one cares about...and Rick and Jessie's garage make-out session. Tonight, we get Daryl and his greasy hair with a bunch of rude strangers. And, if that wasn't enough, we also get Abe's unintelligible ramblings.

Meanwhile, Glenn is presumably still hiding under the dumpster. And Carol and Michonne have basically sat out the season.

I thought the most interesting scene was the one in which the walker soldier slipped off his moorings and left the rocket launcher that Abe had been trying to get from him. It's almost like he did that on purpose.

 

Please, Daryl Dixon, stop being stupid, OK? I like to think that he just wants to believe there are decent people left in the world, but he really should have never turned his back to those grimy extras from an old Spin Doctors video.

Why does this show keep doing this - giving us case after case of human's being so stupid. Either not killing Walkers when they can or having a heart with stupid humans. If you don't kill the walker, the walker will kill you. Thought for sure it was curtains for Abraham. And how dumb for him, when clothing resources are low, to do something idiotic to rip up his clothes like that.

And was befriending her out of concern, now it's revealed there's more to it.

This episode was dangerously close to FTWD territory, where no one ever asks a stinking question! All the exposition by the group that took Daryl, had me almost switching over to watch the Good Wife.
