I have not seen anything photographed from that home that looked antique to me.  A few weeks ago, Meri posted a family treasure that was a genie style lamp, widely available at your local Woolworth's store in the 1960's.  The crocheted pieces they have embellished the pillow shams with appear to be something mass produced in China that can be found in abundance at any flea market.  I'm sure the previous owner rushed out and bought some trinkets when she hooked Meri on coming to have a look at the old homestead.

The breakfasts look good but I understand that they have a local woman come in to prepare them and they are not cooked by Bonnie.

Which is fine - it gives extra money to the local woman who sounds like a good cook, and frees Bonnie up for the cleaning and upkeep of the place.  I just don't get the draw for coming to THIS place versus any other B&B.   But it doesn't sound like any of us do?

Or she could do what a lot of motels/hotels do and sign up for a service that delivers this stuff to you when you need it.  Unless they do not do enough biz to make it worth it.  IF I am staying at a B&B (which is not my thing) I want a higher level experience than the Holiday Inn.   I want top quality towels and linens.  Like you all think, black = stain cover up.

She's selling them and you're right.. slate makes a terrible coaster

A friend gave me a set years ago from a trip she took and they were awful.... she also bought herself a set and asked me if i still used mine because she hated hers... I had to admit that I'd only used them a couple times but they were so sloppy and drippy that I decided to use them for other things.... I used a few in a large terrarium to make different levels.

Not to mention they're slippery. Your glass can slide right off! I like the cardboard (?) ones you see at bars.  I don't drink beer but like 10 years ago a bar owner generously gave me a stack of SF Giants/Blue Moon coasters (like 20) which I still use to this day.

This. 🙄 I wish the family would kick Meri and her ramblings, her walls, her circle of safety and all her other baggage out the door. Just tell her to STFU and be done with her, since she won’t do it herself. She needs a push out the door.

It would make for better TV and be more authentic tif than the bs they present us with every week.

If Meri stops taking herself & her fambly so seriously and takes on the role of the snarky comedian rather than victim, she could become the likeable one the show.  Mentioning the "fantastic wetbar" in her LV home, with a smile, no less, was a good start.  She has so much inside knowledge of the fambly that she would never run out of things to snark about.
