It looks way better on a dog (I'm not even joking, that dog looks adorable in it). I think we finally found Robyn's only talent (outside of the bedroom). Dog joolry designer.

She better lower her pricing expectations, though. Put that ugly garbage on a dog collar, and knock the prices down to ten bucks a piece, and it will finally move!

I'll need a small consulting fee, of course. I can't be giving away brilliant ideas for free.

Right? After all, you have to worry about your estate!

Meri is hinting on her Instagram that she is working on a Tell All in some fashion. Maybe Meri and Janelle have decided to get back at Kody for screwing them out of their share of Coyote Pass. I hope so. She also looks great in her recent pictures.

I feel like the thing for 90’s scripted shows right now is to gather some members of the cast and do an episode-by-episode, rewatch podcast. Maybe Meri is planning something like that? I might listen to that, especially if it seemed like it would be candid and truthful. And especially, especially if it shed some light on the Brown family financial house of cards.

What I got from something recent I saw from Meri (maybe a Facebook video, but I don't remember), is that her "Worthy Up" grift is the tell-all. In other words, people who subscribe will get the "real" story.

I have a lot of sympathy for Meri, Janelle, and Christine. I wish them all well. I'm never going to be a mark for one of their grifts.

So, like some sort of subscription you mean? You have to be a member to see her content?

I actually hoped for a book with all the dirty inside information. She’ll probably make a fortune with that and stab a certain person in his kidney (if there’s room left for another knife) I know I would buy it, yes I’m that kind of person. 😉

And what makes you think a single word of it will be true?  These people wouldn't know the truth if it bit them in the rear end.  Their entire existence for the past umpteen years has been built on made up stories, many of them conflicting.  They cannot even keep their lies straight from one interview to the next.

Never fear.  There's another kidney.  Plenty of room.

Yeah. I just know that she has some sort of "Worthy Up" thing. She calls it a "community," but I don't know what to call it other than a grift. You have to pay to join.

The lowest level is $30/month. Then there's a flat (i.e. not monthly) $500 subscription for the rest of 2024 and all of 2025. There's also a flat $800 subscription for the rest of 2024 and all of 2025. Both of the flat rates price levels promise more access than the monthly subscription. Descriptions here:  https://www.worthyup.com/join-our-community

She then sells "experiences" like "symposiums" and "daycations." Descriptions here: https://www.worthyup.com/experiences

She also sells merch: https://shop.worthyup.com/collections/merchandise

It's all just one big grift.

Here's a recent Instagram video from Meri. To sum, she's kind of saying, "People want to know if I'm working on a book — not currently. Where I am sharing my story is in my ridiculously priced 'community'." [Very loose paraphrase.]

To me, it seems sort of like a patreon community without having to be confined by patreons rules. But it all seems more scammy because of the mlm history - and "worthy up" just sounds like a scammy name. In reality its just  a patreon with a bad name

Can anyone who follows her social media accounts answer if she currently has a boyfriend?

I usually only look at any of their social media, after someone has posted something here or on Reddit. I suspect that if or when Meri starts dating again, she won't be eager to share it too soon. I think she was surprised by how the fandom really dug into the past of that guy Amos. (That said, although I think the fandom can be intrusive, I also think they might have helped Meri dodge a bullet with that man).

Good gravy!  No WONDER she  can afford to go to Disney all the time!!  That is some crazy financial ask to have access to Meri's "experience".  What is she SMOKING??

Exactly.  And keep in mind that to this day, Meri still hasn’t told the truth about the catfishing.  To me, it’s the most interesting, revealing, certainly juicy, but also sympathetic story of the whole series: it showed the difficulties, jealousies, struggles, and loneliness of the life of a sister wife, and had they been honest, I think it would have been fascinating.  And real.  Instead, everyone, including and especially Meri, lied about it all.

I see this a lot, but I never know what it is that people are looking for.

Mer said she felt in love with (or possibly worded it as "felt love for") Fake-Sam. There was no in-person relationship. Meri texted and called (or played voicemail tag) with a liar.

What is she not telling the truth about?

Really?  Wow, ok.  As I remember it, Meri never ever used the word love.  In fact, she talked about the whole thing as an online relationship with a FRIEND, always denying her romantic interest in Sam.

Fake-Sam apparently scammed other people, and the show decided to bring another victim to Las Vegas to meet Meri and swap stories.  I remember the other woman opening up very honestly about looking for love and getting fooled, while Meri nodded along nervously and contributing little to nothing, as she was still going with the pretense that her relationship wasn’t romantic.

I remember at the end-of-season reunion or tell-all, the host had the unenviable task of asking Meri about the infamous banana voicemails and photos, and Meri stammered and said she was hacked and they were “looking into it.”  A lie!

Then there was the conversation between Leon and Meri about the whole thing, which was awkward and tense because Leon knew the truth, or at least a lot more than Meri was admitting to.  Leon seemed angry or frustrated with Meri, not only for stepping out on Kody, but for not coming clean about it.  More lying!

Yes, Meri embraced the word catfish, but has never admitted that as an ignored and abandoned sister wife, she was looking for love, romance, and yes, sex.  Which, to me at least, would have been a raw, candid, and honest peak behind the curtain of the life of a polygamous sister wife, which is what this show was supposed to be about.

A question to my fellow posters: What Meri did, would you call that cheating? My gut tells me it is, because:

  • You are in a relationship, albeit an unhappy one and you don't see much of him. However, both Meri and Kody clearly agreed they were still 'spiritually married'. That means you're not free to pursue someone else.
  • In my book, having intimate and/or sexual conversations or texts with another man or woman who is not your partner,  is a form of cheating as well.
  • Iirc Meri did say she would leave Kody for Sam if given the chance.

It's tricky. In a way I am very sympathetic of Meri, but I also feel that you should end a relationship if you're not happy before you become involved with someone else. Just curious what you're thinking  ☺️

I see it differently and would not call it cheating because:

Meri was not married to Kody at the time. K&R forced a divorce for what was IMO a ridiculous excuse.

Kody was not sleeping with Meri anymore, which constitutes some form of abandonment by Kody.

If Sam had been a real person and Meri left, I don't believe Kody would have mourned a loss. He pulled any love (alienation of affection) he had for Meri away from her the minute he was legally married to Robyn.

Reading above from @Soapy Goddess, @LotusFlower, @General Days, @LilyD. To me, it’s one of those situations where there two things (or more) can be true at the same time. I think Meri was depressed, loved the flattery and attention of FakeSam, and was mortified that she got catfished.  With how Kody treated her, I'm willing to give her a pass. I know I've done stupid things in my life that I wish no one knew about, the public humiliation is plenty for Meri.

Yes, Meri cheated.  That’s why the tense discussion she had with Leon stood out to me - Leon was definitely giving Meri the side-eye for things he knew about the relationship with Sam, implying the romantic nature of it.  It took me awhile to figure it out because a) they were kinda talking in code, and b) I hate Kody so much, so it would never dawn on me to think about it from his POV.  But, as Leon pointed out, Kody was his father, his parents were indeed married, and Meri carried on a months-long online affair with a person she planned to run away with.  How is that not cheating?

That being said, the nature of polygamy is so incredibly unfair and sexist towards the sister wives, so I’m totally sympathetic to the predicament Meri was in.  Which is why I keep saying how fascinating it would have been if Meri had opened up and talked truthfully about the whole affair.

I think people still harp on Meri about the catfishing because she hasn't come fully clean.  On the show she stuck with the "made a friend and it all went wrong" story but those who followed the story for that year (2015) watched it all happen. Once the catfish woman began releasing the photos and screenshots it was apparent that Meri was fully involved in an emotional affair. Even tho it was a well executed scam, Meri was all in on her side. Just bring up the mental images of Meri's romantic bare feet in bathtub with candles all around, the infamous banana photo, the softly sensual "come hither" selfie and the horrifying arm photo where she scratched "SAM" into her skin turning it bright red.

On one episode in a couch session Kody point blank asked Meri "you said you were being threatened...but threatened with WHAT?" And Meri stammered and shut down.  She obviously couldn't or wouldn't say (especially on camera) threatened to release all the sexy texting, voicemails and photos because at that time Kody didn't know they existed.

She tried to claim that she had not personally listened to the "supposed voicemails" that she was asked about but said that someone else told her they sounded "spliced together" aka "fake"

Whether or not a person believes that an over the phone, only in your head, love feeling is an actual affair or not is a personal belief. But if you opened your partners phone and saw they were sending sensually suggestive photos and talking about a "friends" penis size how on earth would you feel? Even if they had never met this person in real life it is at minimum a betrayal of trust within a relationship.

And the theory that "Meri wasn't technically married to Kody at that time" (in my opinion) doesn't excuse it all because she has been clear in todays time that she stayed loyal to Kody and did not considered herself actually "divorced" until her official church release. So coming from her...that means her time with the catfish qualifies as at a minimum an emotional affair.
