I honestly can't tell if it's because we lost so many people over the last couple of years that it seems super short in comparison, or that they left a bunch of people out, but yea, that seemed...abrupt.

I'm getting a bit exhausted by the shade being thrown at the other nominees just because they're men. I get the cause but it's Jibes like both Emma Stones and Natslie Portmans (at the globes) that ruin it for the winner who has done nothing wrong. It also just comes off a bit passive aggressive on Gerwigs behalf which also isn't fair because she's not the one delivering the digs.

Even announcer lady was emphasizing the "final" in the final awards.  Either she knows everyone wants this to wrap up or she herself wants to get out of there.
