Sweet Fellowship: Duggars and Friends (aka the Bates Family and Other Featured Families Thread)

Message added by Scarlett45

If a person/family was never featured on any of the Duggar shows, and is not related to the Duggar family by blood or marriage, they do not need to be discussed here..

The Politics Policy is still in effect. A participants social media is NOT an invitation to discuss their political view points. Consider if discussion of certain social media posts will cause you to violate the politics policy BEFORE you hit the "Submit Reply" button.

We may all agree that David Rodriques is quite unfortunate looking, but let's refrain from comparing human beings to apes, its got way too much of a loaded history- please review the new Inclusion Policy updated May 1, 2022 , which details guidelines around discussing body type, capabilities, physical appearance etc. Additionally, using body size as an insult is not allowed.

Those pictures of Tim look like parties at work. I can't tell if it's the same girl next to him in both photos. He looks so "normal" and happy in the pictures. No wonder Jill had to put a stop to it. He needs to be miserable at home under momma, not happy in the world with people his own age.

That is exactly what I thought! He looked normal and happy. Mama can't have that!

I believe Tim was working at a care center of some kind. I remember reading that but not where I read it. Chances are good that the job was essential and stayed open during the shutdowns. Maybe Tim enjoyed the job, the patients/residents, and the paycheck. Maybe he was learning to make friends with other young people.

It would be a terrible shame if he came home at the demands of his control-freak mother, who first shunned him on social media and then tried to launch him into a recording career with such a half-assed plan that failure was assured.

Yes it was the purple guy.

Actually I like Nathan better than Jedidiah of purple gift fame. He's seems less gun obsessed although most of these fundies like guns.

I thought it was strange Jill hadn’t posted any pictures, and babble. So I went to Sydney’s Facebook, and although the pictures were there for me yesterday, now they aren’t.
So, I’m thinking she originally had them as public, and reset them to private. Or, Jill asked her to take them down. Or, a bit of both. 🤷🏼‍♀️

He’s actually a fairly good looking young man when he’s dressed like this and not looking stressed or being forced to smile and pose in Mama’s millions of pictures. I hope precious Mama didn’t force him to come home but I agree with you all that she probably did.  Those poor kids will never have a say in their path in life unless they can get away from Mama’s clutches and be strong enough to not be guilted into coming home.  Like the Duggars, so much wasted potential.

Allison Bontrager posted more photos from the proposal on IG (she's engaged) and the Maxwells did a few posts last week on Jesse's wedding to Anna Craig. Chelsy Bontrager Maxwell is due to having a baby any day now, and I'm guessing Bonnie or Bontrager for the baby.  Their first child is Axton John with John being for his dad, John Maxwell. As a guess,  Bonnie Chelsy, or Bonnie Renee (Chelsy's middle name) for a girl. Not sure what middle name if the baby is a boy.

It is hard to imagine anyone being 'too good' for the Rodriguii.  I presume that purple gum guy wasn't deferential enough to Jill, didn't praise her and bring her gifts, too.  That would be the kiss of death.

This is what parents like JillR do, so I'm sure the terrible shame happened. They get the people they manipulate right out of the womb. So their influence can run deep, far below thought. Plus they usually manage to deprive their influencees of any resources they could use to support an escape. So the poor slobs are trapped. And that's certainly been the case here, too. Poor Tim and poor Rodrigui altogether.

I remember that Tim worked at some kind of care center when he was in Washington. So it would make sense that he worked at one in Wisconsin, too. I don't think I've heard what he was doing there.

Another trouble with these times when people get yanked back -- every time it happens it can destroy their hope and confidence just a little bit more, and that makes it even harder to escape. it's truly evil to do that to your children.

To most of us nothing funny. But that's all poor Tim has left now that Mom has yanked  everything else away from him.

This post assumes that Jill actually ingests Plexus which I don't think she does. Plexus is only her (and other fundies's) grift. I don't think she's actually drinking it. Also, I think it's a stretch to claim without medical evidence that Plexus was at fault for the child's in-utero stroke (which, who knows if that even happened because Jill isn't exactly an honest narrator of fact -- see also her most recent lie telling with the ice cream cones/sweater wearing in hot temperatures).

But I guess it does confirm that Jill is pregnant again.

The color in those trees kinda says spring, not summer, to me.....Especially over on the right, where a tree has that 'nature's first green is gold, her hardest hue to hold" thing going on?

So maybe the picture is from several weeks ago?

Sure, but that kinda begs the question as to why the ice cream cones were dripping.  Not to mention why JRod et famille find it so hilarious that ice melts.

True enough. Maybe after they bought the ice cream she wouldn't let them eat in the car or anywhere except standing where they could hold their cones out over a body of water so they had to carry the ice cream around for 20 minutes before she'd let them eat it.!

I expect the Rod kids are a) hard up for anything to laugh at so they take any chance they can get and b) programmed to laugh any time Jill laughs since Jill SETS THE MOOD for the family at all times.

We'll never figure out why Jill laughs, though, because she's just barely human and the rest of us have very little in common with her. Maybe she saw a kid struggling with his/her dripping ice cream because they were afraid godly mama'd clock them in the ear if they messed up their hideous clothes with it.....So she laughed at that. To me, that sounds to me like the kind of thing that might make her laugh. 😬

😬

Jill captioned the photo. She decided it was funny. Maybe the kids are robotically grinning for the camera as they've been taught.

I think they are happy just to have something to eat.

She has ingested plexus on camera. I also think she is drinking it.

Medical evidence would be hard to get at this point, but Plexus has some weird ingredients.

I've always believed that Jill was telling the truth about the stroke. For one thing, I doubt she has enough imagination/knowledge to make it up. I know that most people seem to disagree with me, but I still think it happened and I feel sorry for Janessa.

I'm not sure what the poster's connection to Jill is, so I'm not sure Jill is pregnant again. The rest of the info is public knowledge. She may assume Jill is pregnant, because of other people's speculation.

I think this pic was taken 2 or 3 weeks ago.  I believe that Jill DOES drink Plexus, because she has talked about losing weight while drinking it.  I also believe that she is pregnant again, which makes me both sad (for the child) and irate (at Shrek & Batshit Crazy Bitch).  I can’t imagine any reputable doctor approving the use of Plexus during pregnancy, BTW.

Kristen Nicole Young is a friend of Jessa Seewald, Jill Dillard, etc. You might remember her. Her husband quit drinking a few year ago. She has three children ages: 4, 2, and a few months. Her husband Justin Young, has this to say about their oldest (son) on Instagram:

"Kristen and I have had a few rough days training up this little dude. It's been hard to navigate parenting as we try to breakthrough to him about the anger in his heart this week. It's been discouraging a few times & we've both been bummed about our responses & frustrations in response to his outbursts. But as I have been thinking & praying about it, a couple things come to mind.

1. The entire summation of parenting isn’t defined by one day. It’s defined by consistently loving & training our kids over the 6,570 days we have with them before they leave our house.
2. Really, 6,570 days is from birth… now there are only 5,110 days left with him. It flies. It’s easy to forget that & isolate the individual days, but a healthy perspective on how fast that will go, the blessing of children, and the calling we have is important.
3. Kids have sin in their little hearts just like you & I have sin in our big hearts. “Daddy needs Jesus too” is a crucial communication piece in our training of Brecken.
4. Satan would love for passivity & discouragement to creep into our parenting of our kids. Why? Because God has given Brecken some gifts that, if shepherded correctly, will be a major force for the Kingdom.
To all my parent friends.. Keep on! You’re fighting the good & right fight when you choose to press into correction.
Psalm 127:3-5 - “Children are a gift from the Lord, a reward from him. Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hands. How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame when he confronts his enemies at the gates.” Raise em’ & train em’!
"

Again the oldest is four.  Also it confirms Kristen and her husband Justin are quiverfull. Her husband was in the hospital with a serious medical problem last year.  God help their kids!

I wonder when Jill is going to say there's going to be one less chicken leg in the pot again, iow, boo hoo,we need more grifts! Feed the starving children! They should have stopped long ago,if they can't afford to feed them. Why don't Jill and the girls give up some of that makeup, instead of one less chicken leg

These people are nuts. Kids have bad days, just like everyone else. Throw in a new baby, and the normal adjustments and disruptions that go along with it, and yeah, a 4 year-old is bound to have a meltdown or two. There's better ways to handle it than to remind him he's a sinner who needs Jesus. Good grief.

Oh, I am sure that in addition to reminding him he is a sinner who needs Jesus, there's some plumbing line and a blanket involved.  Poor little kids,

Best thing about this shower: Nurie's dress which is flattering and fits her well,; obviously Jill had nothing to do with it.

Worst thing: that cake in that sickly shade of green and purple.  so unappetizing.  There are some shades of violet and green that coordinate; not those particular ones.  I presume those are her wedding colors, I am going to need Zofran for the livestream.

Jill led a waitress Katie to the true lord. Katie cried... probably because she got no tip and got to serve the very sane Rodrigues family.

"Compromise is not necessary when you trust the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords to bring like minded individuals into your children's lives."

I wonder if the "compromise" is a slap at Purple Gum Guy or Timbit's Mystery Female or both.

Nurie and Nathan look happy. I wonder if Nurie has ever had a party before with people outside of the family and gifts with her name on the packages.

Oh, no. The day was filled with spiritual attack from Satan. Who hurt Jill's feelings?
