KM's hair is not looking attractive but I hadn't noticed any weight loss--maybe the filming schedule is starting to affect her? Either way, I hope she's okay.

She had a bunch of travel pics in SOD and in pics from off the show online and she looks thinner and her clothes are swimming on her. A while back another poster (maybe you) mentioned her face looked different and features changed, from watching I concur her face changed because of the weight drop just guessing. I'm not judging or trying to be jerk; I know people go through weight fluctuations and hair issues for myriad reasons.

I bitched above about the useless embodiment of boring called Jordan and wanted to add her brother Plucky can beat it too. That fight between him and Chad was pretty amusing. Yes, as others commented Bollie is taller that Chad and more muscular he should have snatched that envelope out of his fingers in second but I just think Bollie is such a bland wimp he don't know how to handle the situation.

Yeah, but Nicole's not allowed to have anything nice. It's sad, but the last time I rooted for her to get together with someone was Vargas. Not just because I thought there was some chemistry, but because he was the only guy on the show who was actually interested in Nicole and/or didn't have to go through some other woman first only to settle for her. 

It's never going to happen, but I wish they'd bring someone on the canvas especially for her. I've been pining for a return of the Horton family...have Mike come back and fall for her.

Sonny is slowly falling in my estimation.  I guess his need to bolster Sneasel and his apparent snit fit because Chad didn't text or call him the minute he hit town made him decide that his employee Ollie deserves his support more than his old friend and partner Chad did.  His nose is obviously out of joint for him to have changed his mind about Sneasel writing the Chad expose.  Bad move on Sonny's part IMO.

 

I don't know what's happening to Sonny but I don't like it. Nothing good happens to people who get involved with Will. Just ask Gabi. 

 

 

 

Oh, that was low, writers, trying to remind us of the first time Sami and EJ Wells met.

I noticed the writers didn't remind us about that pesky time when EJ raped Sami at gun point. They must have forgotten.

Can we go back to the time right before Jack impregnated Jen, and instead of having sex with her, he just watched some porn and took care of himself?

Aiden and Nicole do have chemistry but because they are both single people they have no obstacles to being together so they will never be 'the couple'. I have come to the conclusion that that is the main if not sole criteria of what couples to write for according to Days writers. Otherwise, why make returning Eric a late in life priest that no one bothered to even mention before he showed up? Didn't he just show up in his priest garb? I am sure Nicole was just hoping he was horribly out of fashion and just wearing a Nehru jacket but ooppps, he wasn't. Otherwise Eric would have come to town and not have a reason for hooking up with Nicole which he did have a history with. JJ and Paige go together because of the Jen vs Eve thing. Etc., etc. Sami and EJ, although terrible, were put in each other's orbit because of their families' history of ugliness. 

 

The show would only go with Aiden and Nicole as an obstacle to Hope/Aiden. 

 

I know it is terrible to wish time away but I am so looking forward to EJ's last day 10/10.  It is already 9/22 so I do wonder what they are going to do with him for 3 weeks. They slapped together an ejami reunion which pretty much nulled and voided any kind of good feelings and like I was developing for Sami. I hardly think being a drug kingpin will play well with Sami but she seems to fall for all of EJ's BS so whatever. Given that Sami is gone 3 weeks after makes me hopefully for a well deserved EJ demise but I wouldn't put it past this show to give make it a fake out and give Ejami a Carol & Doug ER type ending, which I would hate and despise.

The Eric/Theresa conversation was rather lovely because it feels like GV is really trying to actually act which is rather welcome :)  Plus I like the emotional layers both actors bring to their scenes.

 

The only positive take away I can get from the Ejami getting back together is that Abby will now know just how meaningless her "connection" to EJ really was.  It's just like she said to Jordan all those weeks ago--perhaps the tawdry affair will bring the couple who are actually in love back together again and their relationship will be even stronger.  

 

But cheer up Abs, when you're done chewing Ben out for not spilling his guts whenever you ask him to, you two can have deep conversations about art and literature :):)

This show has some of the most blah actors on any show - soaps included - I've seen in a long time.  That Jordan person has one expression and - well, wait, I can't even remember the names of most of the others which reveals how captivating I find them….

Chad and Kristen's scene really showed them as Dimera's  then you go to EJ begging Sami to tell him she loves him and it just eye-rolling. They took everything "Dimera" about EJ and turned him into Sami's purse holder. 

 

EJ really does need to go, they neutered him as a Dimera. They need to bring back Tony or recast EJ and bringing him back alone as a true Dimera again.

After suffering through 7 years of insanely bad writing, I thought of today's episode as payback for me as an Ejami fan. (If you're not a fan, I realize YMMV.)  It hit all the right buttons for me. EJ doesn't seem any less Dimera to me than Tony has been over the years (when he's not Andre.) He's been begging Sami to tell him she loves him for, well, 7 years. Nothing new there.

 

They have Chad stepping into the BSC Dimera role. He'll be cloning rivals, kidnapping youngsters and switching blood tests before you know it.

 

I feel for Jarlena fans. The story they had when Kristen returned was all sorts of head-scratchy. John believing Kristen over Marlena? I call BS and I hate Jarlena. So having them get back together seems like a nice thing to do for their fans. Why DHe couldn't be bothered to act during this reunion is one of life's enduring mysteries. DHer did try to act and I almost wish she hadn't. Theresa needs to steal some Xanax. I'm not clear on why Eric is sporting fashions from J.Jill, especially since J.Jill doesn't have a men's line.

 

Daniel has surpassed Rafe as the douchiest guy in Salem. Come to think of it, Rafe hasn't been quite as douchey since Jordan dumped him. Maybe Jordan and Daniel can hook up so that she can dump him. First, we need Jordan to have a life-threatening illness so she can become Daniel's patient.

This sucks!!!  I'm hoping like hell EJ dies simply so Sami can get some functioning brain cells back before she leaves Salem.  The character that was destroyed for the EJ/Sami pairing was Sami.  Damn these writers for ending Kami for this.

Not directly and not through doppelganger. Now, if he wants to go on a murder spree and kill EJ, Kristen, Stefano, and most of the Hortons, I wouldn't complain.

 

I find it interesting that Sami has come up with all kinds of schemes to get Lucas, Austin, and Brandon (I think?) but I can't recall one time when she's done something mischievous / bad to get EJ. EJ's always been the one lying and committing crimes to get her but I don't ever remember her chasing after him,

I feel there isn't really a reason for Chad to be as crazy as Kristen or EJ or Stephano. 

 

I suppose Abigail is supposed to have done a number on Chad by hurting him (hence, the discussion with Kristen), and I DO think she's irritating,  but I also don't think she has the power or charisma to tilt anybody's character in any direction (either good/redeeming for EJ or bad/evil for Chad). Even EJ and Sami seem to have forgotten she exists...

Wow.  Just....wow.  I am blown away by the majesty of Drake Hoygsten's acting chops.  I can honestly say that I have NEVER been as impressed by anything he's done as much as I have been by his coma work.  Impressive stuff.  I don't think there is an actor anywhere, tv, stage or film that can imitate a corpse with such razor-like precision.  And to think it's all soon to be ruined by him waking up and talking......well, all good things come to an end.
I don't know why Marlena felt she had to lie about how she injured her arm.  In fact, I thought she would have already shared with Brady and Eric that Jawn has already woken up, briefly, when she reading to him from his favorite book, "The Gas We Pass".  It wasn't shown on screen, but as I understand it, those moving words read to him by the woman he loves had been enough to bring him out of the coma, albeit briefly, but long enough for him and Marlena to play his favorite game, Pull My Finger.  Unfortunately, after giving her quite a yank he sank back into unconsciousness.  But no worries!  He's baaaaaaaack!!

Speaking of gas, Brady is just one giant gasbag, isn't he?  I know he was talking to Kristen who did horrible things, but once again we've got that giant gasbag in his usual very violent, threatening pose, eyes bugged out, unblinking, his plucked and primped body roided out in rage - and he does this crap almost exclusively with women.  Men, he punches.  Women, he intimidates.  Right, wrong, doesn't matter with this entitled, low-browed thug.  Theresa, no matter her faults or crimes is too good for him.

 

NuChad is my hero.  Playing Abigail and Ollie is bit like that "Shoot the ducks" game for the kids at the carnival, but nonetheless, it's sure fun to watch.  And Abigail is so easy.  In all ways.  All it takes to get her to let her guard down is for someone to compliment her on either her awesome Hortoness, or her TOTALLY RAD Horton Hoo Haw.  She thaws like an Eskimo pie in a Turkish Sauna.  Hmmmmm,.....Abigail in a Turkish Sauna.......Our little Jar Jar Binks just loves to have the boys panting after her Kangaroo Ears.  

Ollie doesn't like it, though.  He already had to disappoint her by not answering all the questions during his latest interrogation, and now there's another guy telling her she's cuter than a pimple on a baboon's ass.  Soon the only DiMera left for her will be Stefano.

I know I'm tired of Dan's smarmy attitude. He always acts like he's so superior and tired of the way he gets in everyone's face. Wish Theresa had hit him over the head with the fire poker instead. Writers really need to give Dan something to do besides being all up in everyone else's business cause he has none of his own.

 

Abby really does think that she's the cat's puss doesn't she? All it takes is for Chad to say some kind words and she's grinning more than the cheshire cat on helium. I bet she liked that Chad was touching her hands too until BOllie saw it then she quickly removed it. She's such a Holy Harlot in Training. It won't be long before she gets thigh burn from dropping her panties to the floor so fast so that Chad can fill the vacancy in her hoo haw.

Am loving NuChad (like him a lot better than the old one) - he seems to have chemistry with everyone so far - I do feel that they will keep him as more of a grey character than flat out evil - although I do enjoy him torturing Abigail & EJ (and Ben) - be interesting to find out what he's actual agenda is for coming back to Salem.

 

Wish we'd see more of Rory - he makes me laugh.

 

EJ & Sami make me crazy - never been a fan (sorry just can't get over the rape that basically started their "Love Story")

I second this. Unfortunately Days doesn't have a volume control. Everything goes to 11 eventually. At least under the current regime.

 

Days should be banned from doing another rape story. Every single one has sucked. Ok, maybe the one with Marlena back in the 1980s wasn't entirely awful but every other one has. The writers should also be forced to read a standard dictionary definition of the word rape and then a few state statutes on the matter because they seem weirdly vague about what constitutes rape. Half the characters on the canvas have been raped. Just stop, please.

JBC344, I also loved Kate and Rex's relationship.  It was nice to see Kate step out of her Mommy Dearest role and have a more functional relationship with one of her children.  I think Rex was as beneficial to Kate, as she was to him.  Interesting about Jordan, because it seems like they are doing a retread of Billie/Austin with Jordan/Ben.  Hopefully, Kate won't end up being their bio mother or something -- she has almost as many kids as Stefano.

I need this all confirmed for me because I think I'm losing my mind:  Jen works at a hospital so she knows all about HIPAA violations and she is aware that her son is college age and therefore doesn't have to discuss his doctor visits' with his mom right?  Cause the way she was reacting that Dr. Dan--and who doesn't love the fact that the man wears flannel shirts to do his doctoring--didn't immediately run to her with what he learned about JJ, one would think Salem was caught in a timewarp and her son was a child and they were living in 1954!

 

Yes, I buy that Jen's worried about her son but she had no business going to Daniel to tell him off.  If JJ doesn't want to talk to her about his medical worries, he doesn't have to.

 

What was with Abby's weird hand gestures when JJ was talking about getting high?  I couldn't figure out what that was.

 

And Eve was right with what she said to Theresa--stop the drama until you know the whole facts and then get a plan together.

 

I wonder why Nicole doesn't seem to grasp that she is just as guilty as Kristin in helping to destroy Eric's life--yes Eric is punishing her but she doesn't seem to understand why he's still so angry with her.

If you count having a brain chip implanted in you so that you think you're Princess Gina and you have sex with John in a submarine then, yes, Hope is on the list.

Julie was raped in the late 70s or early 80s.

Eve was forced into prostitution so she's on the list, too.

 

On the topic of needing new characters: yes. Start with the recurring characters. I love Kayla but having her show up to prop Daniel is just annoying. Ditto with Adrienne - love her, don't mind her being in busy body mode but that since that is all the show uses her for she's pretty much pointless. (I'm still in awe that when she was complaining to Sami about being too hard on Abby that Sami didn't bust out with "Why don't you ask Justin about going too far with revenge for adultery? Emilio ring any bells for you?") Having Steve, Bo, and Justin on the Island of Misplaced Husbands just reinforces the pointlessness of these characters for me. Either use them or jettison them. Popup Lucas might be fun if BD didn't read every line like he was auditioning for the lead in Death Wish Part 20. Granted, he's had to talk to Abby and Will alot lately and that would piss off most people. Either give him a viable love interest or give him a real job or jettison him, too.

 

I don't mind Marlena when she's on her own but having her toss yet another child under the bus for John's sake made me want to slap the writers. They'd have had the same result with less squick if Eric agreed to drop the charges so that Brady wouldn't have to live with the guilt of putting John in a coma. Considering how, ahem, viral John Black was alleged to be in his heyday, shouldn't he have a few more kids coming out of the woodwork? It would take the pressure off Brady to be such a total screw up that he needs John's help.

Maybe if Nicole would go away for awhile and stopped harassing Eric I would be more inclined to care whether or not he forgave her. Every time he turns around there she is crying, telling him she loves him, begging for another chance and just acting like a pathetic freak. If she really loved him she would give him the number of a good shrink and then get out of his face until he's ready to talk to her.

 

I don't understand why Eve doesn't want Paige dating JJ. Is it because he's Jen's son and therefore automatically terrible? Smashing up the shop window was wrong but given the circumstances I think he should be cut a little slack. Especially when you remember he has to deal with Jen and Abby everyday.

 

Once again Abby decides to involve herself in someone else's business. You would think she would be too busy taking responsibility for her actions (LOL) to get into arguments with Theresa.  And btw, if Abby is such a sophisticated adult why he she still living at home with her mom? 

 

Why did JJ tell Jen and Abby about what happened? Jen is only going to make things worse and Abby is useless. 

 

Does dumb Jen not understand the concept of doctor-patient confidentiality? JJ isn't a minor so Dan couldn't have told her anything even if he wanted to.

 

Theresa should call Anne. She's probably more likely to help her than Eve is. 

 

Can Kristen just lock Nicole in a Dimeria dungeon or something? Please.

And as bad as it was, shredding the documents isn't rape and Eric's reputation and life was already shot to hell by the time Nicole did what she did. Nicole may have exacerbated the problem, but Kristen is the one who destroyed Eric's life.

In many ways, I think what Nicole did was worse because she already knew Eric was a rape victim and she took away his choice for the second time when she shredded the documents that could have cleared his name.  And as she keeps saying every time she sees him, Nicole is supposed to love Eric and this is how she treats him?

 

And I have no doubt that she's sorry for hurting him, but Nicole has to realize that Eric doesn't have to forgive her or listen to her advice and she is going to have to learn to accept that.

What I have gleaned from the show, the problem is two-fold.

 

1. Eve's shitty up-bringing has made her determined to keep Paige "a jewel" who is pristine and untouched by the ugliness of the world.

 

2. Eve sees JJ as a hindrance to Paige going to Stanford and reaching her full potential.

 

I think it's far less about JJ himself... she's heard things that suggest that JJ is just like Every Other Guy out there and Eve has been established as not having a good track record as far as men go; that he is a Devereaux made things somewhat hairy when she was working to get her cut of Jack's book and, yes, they have the 'dueling families' thing that soaps love to over-use when creating 'young love' stories.

 

But really, I think it's far more about Eve's own issues and not wanting Paige to experience the things she has and this bright future she envisions for her daughter which, if they keep the actress around, Paige will totally do when eschews Stanford to stay with JJ.

I really thought Jar Jar Binks was going to slap Teresa across the face today when she approached her. Her casual approach to unprovoked violence is making her look even more batshit than her creeper personality. If it was dude going around Salem doing it and who hit her omg it'll be a travesty. But with Abby it's her spunky, quirky side.

I liked Eve and Teresa's scenes they act like sisters. But they don't have to mention their "sisterly bond" all the time. We get it!

Jenn looked constipated in her scenes.

I recall Kate mentioning early in 2013 that she was going to Chicago to visit Phillip, Cassie, and Rex.

 

 

Didn't Rex and Cassie originally try to cover up that Roman and Kate were their parents?  I know that a large part of their reasoning was their attachment to Tony and their resentment of the Brady family.  How did they feel about Kate when they initially found out that she was their biological mother?

Rex was all about having a mother and a family unit so he really was ecstatic and very eager to get to know Kate.  Cassie was more the "we don't need anyone but ourselves type", the only person she really opened up to initially in Salem was Tony.  They also set Kate and Cassie up as not liking each other.  It was like they were trying to re-create what Kate and Billie went through before they found out they were mother and daughter.  Cassie was "killed" before her and Kate got to really know one another.

 

While Cassie was on "Melaswen" with Roman they became close, while Kate and Rex became close in Salem when they were gone.  Cassie pretty much disappeared after she came back to Salem.  I think there was a throwaway line about her going with Rex to Chicago when he got the job offer and left Salem after ending things with Mimi.

Show screwed up with the photos today.  Remember that Jill and her friend held JJ's hand out with the cell phone in it to make it look like he was taking a selfie?  Well, the photos Eve printed out had JJ's right hand on Jill's thigh.  That means a third party had to have taken the photos.  I bet they'll just ignore that, though, and not make it a plot point.

 

I loved the interplay between Nicole and Kristen, two of the best actors on the show going at it.

 

I, too, thought that Abigail was about ready to slap Theresa.  Why not, she's a judgemental Horton.  Jenn should have slapped Daniel, too, to stay in character.  I would like to cheer the end of Dannifer, but ha, that'll be the day.

Once again, Paige is mostly ahead of the game!:)  She didn't put the whole puzzle together, but she definitely seemed to be on to Mary Beth.  She was giving her the side eye something fierce.  And J.J. continues to be as sharp as a tack.  We're continued to be reminded of how and why they're the most mature couple on the show, despite being the youngest one.  Not to mention the smartest one.

Why didn't they hire Mary Beth to be Paige.  She is so good. I'm behind but I don't think Eve paid her so there's that.

 

I'm behind because I guess there was more Scabbie and she makes me run screaming from this show.

Nicole needs to leave Eric alone.  She's apologized, and she needs to leave it at that.

 

I like Theresa, and I don't care that she smacked John in the head with a fireplace poker especially since he was pushing her around beforehand.

 

I wish JJ had a different SL, and different relatives.
