I have long felt he was a scammer and I believe he sold MLM products.  I liked her but never liked him, even when they surprised me by actually getting married. 

However, in terms of spousal support, I do understand why it's included in this filing.  A lawyer will often make sure they protect their client's potential rights even if, in the end, their client doesn't go after it. 

As for whether he deserves it, from what I understand, he did give up his practice, where he likely had a client base, and followed Rachel to LA where he would have to reestablish his base.  Since they haven't been married long and he has been in LA even a shorter amount of time, it could be argued that he made a career sacrifice so she could improve her own career. Given the length of their marriage, the support likely wouldn't be for long anyway.

Update:  I'm reading that there may have been some other circumstances why he gave up his FL practice and moved to LA so maybe the sacrifice wasn't FOR Rachel.  It'll be interesting to see how messy this gets.

He always struck me as smarmy on the show, but I didn't follow him closely enough to have an opinion on whether he really is or not.

I like her and I think she's held her head up against a lot of shit thrown her way by the public, I can imagine that not wanting to give that public the unhappy ending they seem so intent on her having could have played a role in the length of their relationship.

The Bachelorette has renewed for the 21st season and is scheduled to air this May due to the Olympics to avoid scheduling conflicts.

Apparently Sam M and his family don’t like his edit.   Sure producers can and do Franken-Bite a contested to get the story line they want, but most of Sam M’s lashing out at Devin is done facing the camera….doesn’t look like editing shenanigans.

Lots of folks of both genders mingling instead of 25 focussed on the lead….more opportunity to get to know each other.   Although the success rate may have peaked…no successes last year.  Couples more about camera time than really getting to know someone.

Wow...turns out that Devin's far more odious than what we even saw on the show. Disgusting that the show's producers were so lazy with their vetting process that they even cast a dangerous abuser like this.

Same with Marcus. To have 2 abusers are your F2 is unheard of.

I’m so glad. physician assistants are wonderful and we are in short supply of good health care professionals. I’m glad she chose this path vs. being an influencer- I think it will be more personally fulfilling.

Hard to judge from that pic, but I wouldn't agree with her assessment that they look "so natural." She's a stick with zero body fat, so any addition was going to really stick out on her frame. Probably looks nice in clothes though.

Wow.  Jenn’s season killed the show…at least temporarily.    I’m guessing that since Bachelor in Paradise is back and they are trying to cast another Golden Bachelor, there is no time in the schedule this year???

Well, Paradise is my favorite of the franchise so I’m glad that’s back… But it’s pretty wild that after 21 years they’re not doing Bachelorette. Does that mean all of the women this season were worse than Jenn? No one whose journey the producers wanted to feature? I mean, you make a good point the schedule is packed with the Golden spinoffs, but surprised that ABC hasn’t taken advantage of just moving shows to Disney+, like NBC with Peacock. Not that I want to encourage that because there are too many damn paid apps. But it just seems strange to in a sense cancel a popular show—unless Bachelorette is the least popular of the franchise, which it very well might be.

According to Almost Famous podcast hosted by Ben H and Ashley, there were initial plans for the twenty-second Bachelorette season before the decision was made to pause, Greece and Portugal were the initial destinations and one of the dates would have to take part for the IHeartRadio Awards, which is March 17 of this year. This would have been an 8-week run like Grant's season.
