It looks like will brought Betty to work. Maybe this is the only scene with her, but I'll take it.

Looks like he's interrogating her here (TELL ME WHERE YOU HID IT!!!):

Will in his very casual sweater and Faith in a t-shirt has me thinking they were called in on their off hours.  Thought I suppose they don't really have 'off' hours.

Looks like romance is in the air for Ormewood, Will and Angie.     I know people on this board aren't liking Marion but I personally think she is exactly what Will needs right now in his life.   It may not make for good TV but she acts like a real person would act after a terrible experience instead of just shaking it off and moving on to the next terrible experience but she did still help Will when he needed it.

This was kind of a strange episode.  Ormewood had a silly episode with a superhero reality star.  Ariana Maddox surprised me by how natural she was.  Angie lands a hot doctor.

But then Will, Faith and Marion are investigating a child sex ring.  Such a different vibe.

And Faith is moving in with Ormewood?  They're going to be roommates.  Oh hell, I'm not even questioning it anymore, I think they're definitely setting something up with these two. Their little moments here and there all season long, Ariana telling Ormewood he should get back into dating and now the close quarters trope?

Why was there a bartender in a country western type bar that only speaks Cantonese? I know that they were trying to show this Ariana Madix person as some kind of all around superwoman, but that didn’t make sense.
I didn’t realize that she is an actual “celebrity” and not a made up reality star. That’s how much I know. I don’t even remember her from Dancing with the Stars.
Angie seems to have found herself a cute doctor. As long as he doesn’t turn out to be a serial killer or something. If this were a Will Trent book, that would be likely.
I thought the plot would be something happening to Betty while Will was in the restroom, until they showed the little girl of course. Of course he would obsess over getting her back, given his background.
So Faith is famous for putting people to sleep? An unusual talent.

I must have missed a scene there.  How did the intervention become a kidnapping?  No matter.  Like everyone else, I first thought Betty was going to be held for ransom.

Classic Southern motif there - Will yells "Stop that man", and random driver hops out, chambers a round into a pump shotgun, and takes over the scene.

I got a real kick out of Will's retort to the idiot suspect who says "You can't ask me any questions without an attorney present."  "Well, then since you are acting as you own attorney, I am hereby addressing your attorney, not you."

I might just want one of those Betty Maria dog toys.

Yessss! I am SO here for it., You should have seen the stupid grin on my face when it became clear Faith was moving in with Ormewood. Sure, it makes no sense, but I don't care lol.

I also agree with you that the juxtaposition of the Faith/Will/Marion/Amanda case vs. the Oremwood/Ariana one and the Angie/Scott Foley stuff didn't really work. I liked all of it but it was just an odd choice. Still, I think this is one of my top episodes tbh.

I liked Marion more in this episode so that was nice.

As much as I enjoyed seeing Ormewood dancing, this episode was not my favorite. I can't wait for Faith to move in with him, though. Should be fun!

And, of course, Angie helps out a hit-and-run victim but turns out to have been at fault for him being hit because she was parked in the bike lane.  I mean, why was she changing her oil on the road anyway, wouldn't you do that at home in your driveway or garage? That was weird. I love Scott Foley, so I hope he's not a bad guy of some sort.

And I was really dumbfounded by Will just tying Betty to a park bench and leaving her there. He thinks of her like she was his child, who would do that?  Not the Will we know. That seemed very out of character. I don't normally talk to my tv, but I was yelling at him to not leave her alone.

Two weeks til the next episode. Waaah!

Yes.  A thousand times yes.  Rather than possibly being snatched up, absolutely yes!!

Also, that Betty stuffed toy: great marketing opportunity ABC folks.  Just sayin'!

Or -like I see around where I live- in the parking lot of the (possibly, not necessarily, auto parts) store where you bought the oil.

Will’s relationships with women always revolve around one thing — trauma. He can be there for them but long term wise, it isn’t healthy for him.

Faith and Angie affectionately ganging up on Ormewood is adorable. I need more roommate shenanigans from Faith and Ormewood. 😆

I love Ormewood/Ariana scenes. Ormewood getting “The Bodyguard” moment is truly the highlight of it all. Ariana surprising Ormewood with her parkour skill gives me a chuckle.

This was a great episode.

Ormewood and the reality star who is an expert in everything was hilarious.

Wonder if Angie's doctor is just a love interest or if there's going to be a larger plot involved, since they hired a recognizable face.

Dark case for Will and Faith. Made my blood run cold as soon as he saw the little girl in the park. I, too, thought it was bizarre he left his little dog tied up outside the bathroom. Never in a million years.

I was so glad they gave it a happy ending by finding the girl. Child trafficking makes me sick to my stomach, even in fiction. So repugnant.

I think the trauma arc they've given Marion is refreshingly realistic. I liked her and Will talking and bonding. I really don't know why everyone hates this rebound for Will so much. I think it's probably refreshingly normal for him, and a normal, low-stakes relationship is good for him right now.

So where does custody stand for Ormewood with his kids? I thought he was going to fight his ex who was filling for full custody. I can't imagine any court wouldn't at least give him some measure of visitation....Did I miss a reference to where this stands?

I ask because, as interesting as it will be to have Faith move in with him, would there be room when the kids stay with him?

Hard agree on how wrong it was to leave Betty outside the bathroom. A little dog like that would get snatched up very fast. I like to think that she was so low-key throughout the rest of the episode because she was mad at Will.

I haven't seen Scott Foley in a while and was surprised that he's aged. He still looks good, but I had him pegged as a Bob Costas kind of guy who looks 30 right up until he's 80, and then the years catch up with him all at once.

Ariana's sweater in her last scene was making me laugh. I expected to see trailing yarn and a knitting needle dragging along the ground behind her.

We don't know.  Last season ended with his ex coming back after running away to ask for a divorce, which he agreed to, and saying she wanted to get full custody and move the kids to be near her parents, which he said he'd fight.

But this season it feels like they're writing a run-of-the-mill divorce. No custody talk.

Maybe they reason they got rid of his 3rd child was so Faith could have their room.

Wasn't Ormewood's wife angry at him in the season opener after the cop got killed at the cookout he and his kids were at?  Maybe that's why we aren't seeing them?

Agree, you don't leave a dog tied up and alone because people are scum.  Will should have taken Betty into the bathroom no matter how scuzzy it was.

Faith and Ormewood as roommates?  This could definitely be fun or lead to a total disaster as I don't see any in-between.

And yes, Angie of course would cause a bicyclist to get taken out because she was parked in the bike lane.  Did the car just die there and she walked to some sort of store to get oil?  Why not call for service?  Whatever, it falls in line with most of what Angie does.  I like the doctor so of course he'll probably be a serial killer or some other criminal type.

I do think there was a disconnect between the three storylines but I was fine going with it.

That was overall a good episode, but the abrupt tonal shifts gave me serious whiplash. We kept going from Angie's romantic comedy meet cute to Ormewood's wacky hijinks to Will's very serious story about child trafficking and his childhood trauma, it was like three separate episodes all crammed into one. I liked it, all three of the episodes were good, but they sometimes felt oddly stitched together.

I only know Ariana Maddox through general pop culture osmosis, but I thought she did a good job here, especially for a reality star playing herself. Ormewood's wacky bodyguard plot was a lot of fun, definitely my favorite of the subplots. They had lots of funny lines and scenes and he and Ariana actually had nice chemistry, too bad it was not meant to be. "Were you bitten by a radioactive spider?" He and Faith as roommates is going to be hilarious, I cannot wait.

The show apparently heard my complaints about the lack of Betty lately, because we got so much Betty in this one, I could not be happier. Her outfits were all so cute, especially the leopard print one, what a stylish girl. I am really going to need one of those cute as hell Betty plush toy, ABC needs to start selling those ASAP.

I liked Marian pretty well in this one, she and Will's still don't have a bunch of chemistry but it feels real that she's not shrugging off something so traumatic and they had some nice moments. I don't think it will last, but it would be good for Will to have a less dramatic relationship that hopefully doesn't end with anyone exploding.

The doctor Angie met seems nice, I hope that he isn't a serial killer or something, that is the last thing we need.

That guy with the truck and the shotgun has been waiting his entire life for this exact moment, that was possibly one of the shows most hilariously southern moments.

I liked the Ormewood plot the best I think.  It was silly fun and had a lot going on.  I especially liked the intervention in the beginning with the Indian mother doing the worst job of giving positive affirmation. LOL. But it felt so real.  And then it devolved into utter farce.

I don't watch a lot of reality shows, the only reality royalty I acknowledge is Tiffany 'New York" Pollard (... well I lie, I don't think of anyone like that...) so I am not at all familiar with Ariana Madix (sp?).  But she did a good job and her increasingly competent skills in everything was pretty funny. I loved the Bodyguard moment in the end.  If only Faith could've seen that!

Speaking of, I am here for Faith/Ormewood.  If you had asked me if I'd root that at the start of season one I would have thought you were on crack. But like I've said before, they've done such a good job on rehabbing Ormewood as a character that I think he and Faith would be an intriguing couple.  And even if they don't go there, I am 100% onboard for  for BFF roommate shenanigans! And I don't blame Faith for not wanting to live in her murder-kidnap-violence condo.

I thought the child abduction case was just fine. Something about it didn't 100% click for me. But I will say, LOVED seeing Will and Faith's teamwork in fine action.  Especially as they synchronized their watches and tag-teamed that terrible dude with their bullet-fast interrogation and great eye-contact communication. That was a great scene.

I didn't mind Marion, much to my surprise.  Her job as ADA worked here and her trauma felt believable.  This is the most natural she has felt since joining the show.  Amanda with her hair down looked gorgeous and the little girl was really cute.

And yeah, what was Will thinking leaving Betty unsupervised!!  He probably has her chipped, but still.  I had such anxiety.  I would never.

I am cynical but I feel like because it is Angie, Scot Foley's character is probably gonna turn out to be a bad person.  Probably sells organs on the black market or something.  Angie does not attract good things.  LOL.

For me, they've made Angie so broken that I can't believe she'll ever have a normal relationship until she deals with her trauma. So that meet-cute didn't work for me as far as thinking Scott's character is just a regular guy. I'm waiting for clues to his damage. And, he's a recovering addict too so there's bound to be reasons/things he did while high that will be red flags.

Honestly, there was no reason to bring on love interests for both Will and Angie. One of them could've remained single and maybe just have some dates with different people sprinkled in. I didn't start watching this show for the romantic entanglements and I'm not quite sure why they're tryna pair everyone off all of a sudden. That said, I'm interested in seeing where this Faith/Ormewood thing goes. It's funny, I was wishing him and his family got yeeted into the sun less than a year ago, and now look at me. Props to the writers and actor for this turnaround in my views. I do think his partnership with Faith was the tipping point because let's face it, Faith makes everyone better. Or sleepy. 😴😂

I also felt a disconnect between the child trafficking story and the other 2 plots. Maybe they were trying to not make that plot so heavy for the audience and used the B and C plots as some kind of break from the awfulness of the subject matter. But it didn't work for me because I couldn't stop thinking about why both Angie and Ormewood and EVERYONE wouldn't be called in for a child abduction/trafficking case. Once it was fully determined what they were dealing with and Will sent out the Amber alert, both Ormewood and Angie would've been notified, even on their day off. They didn't do a good job at all for me in bridging these stories. I enjoyed aspects of them all (some more than others) but they weren't cohesive enough for me to fully enjoy the ep as a whole.

I learned this some years back when I served on a jury - legally speaking, kidnapping means that you prevent a person from leaving a place. So even though Rina entered the apartment willingly, if they didn't let her leave when she wanted, that would be kidnapping. Abduction is taking a person from one place to another against their will.

I really liked Will and Marion in this episode. He offered just the right amount of support.

I said out loud "Is she Spider-Man?" at the same time as Ormewood asked about the radioactive spider. 😂

ETA: @Dowel Jones I just realized after reading a comment below that you were talking about Rina being kidnapped by the drug dealers. That plot was kinda random.

The friend got angry and stormed out of the intervention. (Having seen her mother, I don't blame her.) Then she went to a country & Western bar where she was kidnapped by some guys she owed money to.

I was impressed with Ariana's Cantonese accent, as well as her dancing and parkour skills (although the latter was probably a stuntwoman) I wouldn't mind having more of the character on.

As someone who doesn't have a visceral dislike for Marian, I thought there was the right amount of her in this episode and it hit all the right notes. She came through regarding the case, while still dealing with the natural trauma of what she went through. I thought the final scene with her and Will was really sweet.

I like Ariana Maddix just fine and thought she aquitted herself well enough but honestly, I hated this subplot in this episode. It just felt very random and off-putting when the A-plot was focused on child sex trafficking.

I'm not saying I'm against some fun and funny moments, especially since this show does that very well. I just think this episode was perhaps not the one for that sub-plot.

As for Betty, at first I was surprised to see Will leave her outside tied to a tree but it quickly occurred to me that knowing Will, Betty probably has some hidden tracker that's linked to some app on his phone, where the second she's touched, it'd go off.

I wouldn't categorize Will and Marian's relationship as revolving around trauma since Marian wasn't dealing with any trauma when they first got together. She was actually a pretty normal and well-adjusted person, messy relationship issues aside.

She went through a very recent traumatic incident and is naturally affected but honestly, she seems to be coping as healthy as possible. She's not bottling it up or pretending she's fine.

And yes, Will is probably equipped to handle it because of his own trauamas and also because he's a GBI agent who deals with crazy shit all the time. I actually thought their conversation at the end of the episode was pretty healthy.

He acknowledges what she's been through and leaves it to her to let him know what she needs.

I think something happened as she was driving, so she had to pull over. If she had actually decided she was going to pull over to change her oil... makes no sense. Do it in the parking lot of the auto parts store like other people do.

Like everyone else, I couldn't believe Will would leave Betty outside while he went to the restroom. My sister was very upset, even as I assured her that Betty would be fine. When Will came out and was chasing the guy, she thought he was chasing after a guy who stole Betty.

I guess I know why the show had Will leave Betty outside. If he had brought her into the restroom with him, he would see the little girl's jacket, come outside, see the guy who was with her before, and then... what would he do with Betty? Tie her up on the bench? Pull her along on her leash? Pick her up? If he did that, he wouldn't be able to tackle the suspect. The only solution plot-wise was to have him leave Betty outside to begin with.

Has Ormewood always been so muscular? Anyway, his plot with the reality star was fun. I got a kick out of how multitalented she was. Everything was pretty fun, though it was a weird contrast with the serious child trafficking story.

Did Will et all drug the suspect's food so he'd fall asleep? I understand they made the room warm, dimmed the lights, had Faith speak in a calming voice, but he fell asleep so quickly I wondered if he'd been drugged.

I'm not a fan of Marion, but she was ok here.

She has been on a Bravo reality show called Vanderpump Rules which is supposedly about a bunch of people who work at Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant, although I'm not sure if any of them actually work there any longer.  She lived with another cast member named Tom Sandoval who ended up cheating on her with another cast member.  This all apparently was revealed on camera and the "Scandoval" was all over pop culture blogs which is how I heard of it.  People felt sorry for Ariana and so she got invited to do a bunch of different things like DWTS.

I just realized this was the first episode this season where Ormewood "won" something.  He first wanted to impress that government agent and failed.  And then there was something else but in this episode he got to kiss the girl.

Interesting episode.  We got to see Ormewood in a muscle shirt!  I muted Marion everytime she was on.  😉    I enjoyed the episode even though it jumped around from serious to fun.  I had no idea who the guest star woman was but enjoyed her being good at everything!   Scott Foley!   I was surprised when I saw he was a guest star.  I don't want him to turn into a bad guy.  Maybe Angie will make him fall off the wagon.  I can see that.  She slept with the other doctor for pain pills.

I too need a Betty dog.
