Did anyone tell Bronwyn she was going to a drag show because she dressed for a Halloween party. Even Mary said the hot dog outfit was a costume and not couture.
Same old trip drama, huge fight at final night dinner.

She looked so incredibly stupid. I’m looking forward to her showing up as a banana, a cucumber, a dill pickle, a chile pepper, …….

She really is. But Lisa was obnoxious and made that all about her when Whitney was trying to talk to Meredith and throw her therapy words around.

I agreed with Mary( shockingly) Britni  will be back with the D lister of the Osmonds  , and  probably off and on all darn season.

Lisa seems to get more snap happy with each season.I don't  care for her.

Imagine  sitting  at a fashion show, and someone is wearing  a hot dog costume,  is your first  reaction,  I must have that? I thought  Bronwyn  looked  ridiculous. Did she get up on stage,  to dance with it on? I don't  recall  seeing her.

Why so much Whitney? I laughed when she stood up for Bronwyn about her marriage saying we love who we love. Sure, you both were just swooning over old overweight men with adult children. Was Bronwyns still married when she found him so charmingly funny out with her coworkers?  Not that Britni needed to call out Brownwyn after making her Osmond epiphany announcement.
Bronwyn is going to be wearing the Emperor’s  New Clothes soon.  She looked ridiculous and her talking heads are hideous .
I kind of like that Lisa and Meredith friends again. Back to basics. Friend fuckers need not comment.

These ladies make Milwaukee in February into a joy and other franchises make Europe as entertaining as cleaning my garage.

I went to school in Milwaukee and will love it to my dying day but February can be rough.

I'm thinking the 3 that went curling are the more observant LDS members, which is why they did an alternative to a Beer Company Tour.  Yes, Lisa owns a tequila company and drinks, but I think that's why she did what she did.  And if she can stick it to Whitney at the same time, bonus!

I do love this season that no matter how at odds the women are with each other, they will always come together to tell Britani what an ass she's making of herself over her bottom shelf Osmond non-boyfriend. She is the great unifer.

I think it is hysterical they keep flashing back to Whitney's Prism collection necklace and what was discovered on the Alibaba website, exact same picture and item. Totally busted. What is with Brittni? She gets up, clinks her glass to make another dumb speech about her and her Costco friend? She clearly needs help. I do not like Mary at all, but she at least is engaging with the group more this year and has been pretty funny

Britani is stupid & not entertaining. Anybody at her age falling for a guys shit like that is pathetic. She’s annoying to watch.

Angie just seems like such a try hard to me & everything she does is for a moment. The way she stood up at dinner was so lame.

The hot dog outfit was idiotic.

Mary is a terrible person I’m sure but she’s been cracking me up so far this season.

Angie’s silver collar with the giant cross that she wore at dinner was the height of tackiness, I thought.

Whitneys défense of her jewelry line left a lot unsaid.  She basically didn’t deny any of the comparisons to the alibaba site.

I’m sure Whitney and Bronwyn love their husbands, but would they love them if they weren’t rich?  Doubtful.

I still don’t get the appeal of Mary.

I just can't get any emotion up for this Whitney jewelry "scandal".

Did anyone think that she was going to do anything other than buy low quality goods and try to sell them at a high quality cost.

I mean, that's her baseline.

Whitney’s denial was basically an admission. But Meredith’s, ‘I threw you under the bus and outed your cheap line because I felt bad!’ Was the biggest lie ever told. She was pissed Whitney did a jewelry line and wanted to sink it. Same old playbook, spill the gossip to a friend of your target-let the friend bring it up and act like you weren’t at fault because you were just showing concern.

Hot dog costume was ridiculous! Fashion victim 1000%

There was a similar "scandal" on Real Housewives of Atlanta when She by Sherree was selling Shein leggings for wildly inflated prices.

I assume anything peddled by the housewives is crap except for possibly for the businesses that existed prior to their being on the show.

But I am probably the antithesis of a "fan" as I have less than zero interest in purchasing celebrity merchandise. If I like their music or admire their acting ability I would purchase the music or go to a show - but it stops there.

Why would I want to pay any amount of money for leggings with She By Sherree Logo - let along $150

Sonja Morgan was doing this with dresses from Aliexpress or another similar company getting them cheap, marking the way up and putting putting her label on it. I think that went belly up.

Perhaps it was my TV but didn't their tans/coloring look strange at the beginning of this episode?  Did I miss Whittney's love of all things Harley before this episode?  All I could think of was Tamra.

Oh, and BrownWind, I think men your husband's age are the real Harley lovers and owners--successful, wealthy men.  Your self-satisfied chuckle that the women behaved themselves at a motorcycle shop, of all things, bugged me.

I generally hear Roseanne's opening laugh when I see what Brownwind is wearing.  Tres chic, especially the delightful yellow squeeze top chapeau.

I'm with the rest of you in not caring too much about Whitney's fake jewelry line.  I don't know anybody who would buy anything she is selling.

I mentioned this in last week's thread.  The difference with Sonja's "fashion line" is that none of her castmates blew the whistle on her on the show.  I even think that at the same time, LuAnn was putting her name on a clothing line for a TV shopping network.  Sonja threw some snark on LuAnn's clothing line, saying that LuAnn designs were for the "masses", while Sonja's were for the "classes"...and, still, her castmates kept quiet and let Sonja make whatever money she did.

To me, that was classy - not like these women who love to tear each other down in order to make themselves look good.

I thought it was tacky of Lisa to plan a different outing to get back at Whitney and Angie.  Maybe it was producer-driven, since she didn't seem to know what curling is.  I don't like Lisa, I find her egotistical and boring.  Last season, she ruined several excursions due to her set-in-stone attitude.  She doesn't seem to be a fun, spontaneous person at all.

I didn't care for Bronwyn's hot dog fashion- but Moschino is not a line I generally like.  However, if you were going to wear that costume anywhere besides a Halloween party, I guess a drag show would be the next best venue.  Drag shows often include some "campy" fashions and are pretty inclusive.

Whitney didn't exactly deny the Alibaba allegations. She said that she buys from "curated vendors", because that's commerce! Didn't she say in the past she designs her own jewelry, and she has a business partner? I don't know for how much longer I can take her voice.

Britani was aggressive toward Bronwyn and her relationship to her husband, but she was deferential to the OG HWs.

I thought Bronwyn's rebuttal of her being a gold digger was odd in terms of her stating there was no prenup since it was ass backwards.

Having no prenup is a benefit to the poorer spouse (Bronwyn) since the assets are not protected. A gold digger would NOT want a prenup.

If she had said there IS a prenup, then it would have bolstered her claim of it being a "love match".

The biggest mystery is what the hell is behind the change in Mary this season!  The Mary of past seasons would never have expressed anything positive at that beer tasting.  There has to be something propelling the change in attitude.

I am so tired of the fake business woman storylines.  Do they not see they are poseurs and talentless hacks? There are actual artists doing work and creating things. But these asshats buy cheap shit, slap their name on it and claim to be the designers. I call that stealing.

Whitney's not buying her jewelry from alibaba, she's using the same supplier/manufacturer. That happens everywhere. The leggings you buy from Old Navy for $9 are the same as the ones sold by Athleta for $79. They just have a different logo on them which you can't as easily do with jewelry. She should have at least changed out the stock photo though :)

I like Whitney's enthusiasm and she's always nice & gracious to hosts. She's also not competitive with the other housewives and seemingly supports their success. I find both Lisa & Meredith to be selfish assholes who hate when anyone else is successful so I'm never on their side. Meredith's still mad about the stupid bath bombs so she's surfacing this to get back at her. It's rather pathetic, she's done something similar every season now.

I found it incredibly rich that Brittani attacked Bronwyn's marriage because she dared ask a question about the Osmond when Brittani's the one who keeps making it a dinner table topic. I do like how Bronwyn's not afraid to defend herself and she's able to do it without screeching.

The Laverne & Shirley intro was cute.

This also true of the makeup and skin care products - and not just by housewives.

During the pandemic I started subscribing to a lot of the beauty "subscription" boxes to have some amusement each month when the boxes arrived.

Some of the stuff was valid actual product lines seeking promotional distribution or getting rid of overstock. But a lot of the items were from "obscure" lines that were never actually sold and they would have wildly inflated retail prices so that the "value" of the the boxes would be increased.

Add to that level of deception the reality that no one with a brain wants to use products on their face or body without having a reliable manufacturer.

There was one HUGE scandal because there was a no name brand of skin cream which claimed to have a retail value of $250 for a small jar and someone found the same product - same jar - on Alibaba for literally a $1.00 for a jar. It was tracked down to a shady women whose business address was in New Jersey.

I can understand the explanation above about source of the products. I've tried to become more selective of what to splurge on over the years. I used to strictly buy makeup from MAC and Sephora until I tried more drugstore products and realized how little difference so many products have due to the same manufacturer. (Sometimes you don't even get prettier packaging.)

I have heard good things about Athleta but never shopped there. So I'm not missing out on quality then? What about Lululemon? I haven't been picky with clothing for many years. I oftentimes find cuter, more flattering things at places like Ross than I do at pricy stores. I get lots of compliments, and people are often surprised by the places I shop.

Is Whitney running a MLM scheme though? If that's OT, if anyone knows, perhaps we could take the conversation into the thread for media or the Whitney topic.

She probably needs the money from this show, after so many of her church scams and horrible practices were outed.  She went from not participating in as much as a dinner to zip lining.  It's amazing what a little motivation can do!

I think reliable drugstore brands are safe - or as safe as any other brand.

Often the quality is very high as well and they are often made in the same labs as higher priced stuff - especially the smaller labels.

The big difference is packaging and colors although there can also be differences in formulas which impact how color goes on and how longevity.

But you would have to be "crazy" to buy cosmetics from Alibbaba which is essentially what some of these no-name or celebrity brands do.

It is also why I avoid buying cosmetics from amazon or eBay because of the high levels of countefeiting. It is one thing to buy a counterfeit purse since it won't kill you but another thing to buy counterfeit eyeshadow which could cause an infection which could damage your eyesight.

Kim Zolziak had a makeup line and I got one of her eyeshadow palettes in a beauty subscription box. I tossed that thing immediately because I assumed it was a cheap Alibaba import. I wouldn't even give it away which is what I did what a lot of the stuff I received that I couldn't use.

knew I spotted a “hot dog couture” in Bronwyn’s background last week!

okay, so I hear what some of you are saying about different brands selling the same product…but I thought that’s like you can buy the name-brand ketchup or the store brand that is processed and packaged with two different labels in the same factory. Whitney’s “curated line” sounds more like a boutique to me. You find cute things from other designers and sell them from your store—but you don’t claim them as “your” designs. I think that’s the problem—Whitney is removing the packaging and slapping on her own labels and saying these are “her” designs. She’s not sketching something out and going to a manufacturer to create them. The girl has a boutique, not a line.

I used to work at Gap (the company that owns these two brands), and I am a HUGE fan of Athleta, but I have never found anything that is the same at Old Navy and Athleta. If you have some specific examples, I'd love to know because while I love Athleta stuff, I don't love the prices.

For example, I love Athleta's bike shorts and run in them, and I know people who love Old Navy's bike shorts. I've tried those too, but the fabric is not the same.

I feel the same way. I LOVE Athleta. They're high quality, very comfortable, travel well, and very flattering. I do wish they were better priced, but I feel like I'm getting my money's worth with them. Their quality is way above Old Navy.

I wouldn't buy Whitney's products (well, I wouldn't buy any HW products!) knowing her vendors are the same Alibaba buys from. Low quality and charging 10 to 20 times more. She is lazy, or cheap to even hire a photographer to take new photos. She claimed at her jewelry line launch party last year that she and her business partner designed the line.

But Meredith (and Lisa who told Meredith about the bath bombs to anger her) exposed the details about her business in order to damage it. And she did it on tv. Whitney also mentioned there was an IG account which exposed her, as well, and she, and her business partner thought one of the HWs was behind it.
