Felt like one of her "gotcha" questions she tries to do.  She wanted her co hosts to say something negative about ABC possibly forcing them back in studio.

Her descriptions of her book suggestions did not make want to read them.   Book reviews should leave you wanting to know more..... and therefore buy/ read the book.   But she  basically summarized the premise and content of the book.   No need to read it now.

Sunny says that it is false that life is a meritocracy, that "access" (via relatives/friends). So who got her into her position? She got it without merit? I doubt she'd think that was true. 

I think Whoopie's perspective is more rational. If you have a connection, try it, but you have to struggle on your own and work hard to improve yourself because no matter how you got a job, you won't keep it long without being able to do the work. I also agree that having programs (in schools or other organizations) that make it possible for young people to learn skills and find out about opportunities is extremely important. Cutting them is a great disservice to everyone.

The question I really wish she would answer is why she CONSTANTLY looks to her left. Is she looking at a monitor? Someone telling her to smile? Why does she do that?? Nobody else does, and they are all in the same situation except Sara, since she is on the set.

I think Meghan is in a studio, also.  I used to think she was looking at herself in the monitor, but the monitor is in the front of her, according to a photo she posted.  I'm now thinking it's Ben who is coaching her from the sidelines.

Yes, she is looking at a screen. Just like when she was in studio at the table, she was always looking toward MyProducerBrian.

Do these women understand that you can read a fun book..and still be intelligent?

Maybe they wouldn't be so moody and angry all the time if they opted to read something fun without a message?

Sara's books seemed nice, but it'll be a few years before Sara joins the land of adults with books adults can read.

With Meghan's book choices...explains she's such a miserable person.  I'm curious to see what Joy picks tomorrow

I just looked at it on Amazon and the description of it is pretty much what certain people in Congress have been saying. Meghan should be ashamed of herself for endorsing it.  But since she endorsed it then I guess she agrees with everything the author has written.

I did have a chuckle when she was finishing one of her rants (can't even tell you which one) and there was dead silence.  Whoopi did nothing.  No acknowledgment whatsoever.  All she said was 'Joy .......'  heeheheh W is sooooooo over her.  Oh yea, Valley Girl is not dead! She's just been on an around the world tour for awhile.  Hell, VG would make a better co host.  Mmhhhmmmmmmm heh

I just checked it out on Amazon.  The reviews I saw were interesting - people desperately wanting to like the book because it is telling them what they want to hear but these same people being honest enough to say it was badly written with tons of grammatical and spelling errors.  Sounds like exactly the kind of book MM would like.

Meghan admires members of the military so much for them making the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe. She doesn't even want to make the minor sacrifice of mask wearing to protect her fellow Americans. 

I've been vaccinated and like most people, don't love wearing a mask. But I am for us all wearing them if that's what it takes to keep as many people safe as possible. The honor system hasn't been working, and Delta is vicious.

I believe Sherri helped Sunny get her foot in the door and possibly pulled some strings via her friendship with Joy later on, too. I had wrote a longer response, but I thought it would be off-topic here. I'll take the rest of my post to Sunny's thread.

Look, Meghan has done her part.  She's been vaccinated after being lied to about Covid, she was told to give away her masks at the start, wants Fauci fired  with no medal of honor for him, and DC is headed for lockdown.  She shouldn't have to wear a mask by ABC or anyone else.  Arizona says no masks and she is the princess.

What had me rolling and laughing my ass off was her being quoted: "virus of COVID" and thinking that D.C. is a state.

Okay, she didn't outright say it, but it was supposedly from today's show: “if D.C. isn’t good enough at any of this, I guess no other state will.”

That nepotism topic was so on-the-nose. I laughed several times. Like McCain saying people expect you to be a spoiled brat who doesn't know what they're doing... She proved every part of the stereotype, didn't she? Not only is she a brat who constantly called in favors to make the show capitulate to her, she could never work with the function of the show. If she didn't speak last, she'd scream until nobody is heard; she gets angry at Whoopi for going to commercial break; she'll ruin every attempt at a light-hearted topic they have; she wants to respond to everyone else by name, but derails the entire show if anyone dares disagree with her in a direct manner; constantly plays victim as an excuse for her inadequacies as a co-host; etc. etc. And then there was Whoopi's comment about how, yeah, somebody may get in the door through nepotism, but if they're bad at their job they won't last... Kind of funny since Whoopi was a point of access in helping McCain's daughter get on this show.

The only thing I recall her saying about Liberty is how she can't put a mask on her. If I had baby I would do whatever it took to keep them safe. Including wearing a mask for however long it took.

I just listened to Meghan's rant about possibly having to wear a mask again.  She thinks she was lied to since the guidance has changed.  It's a pandemic.  The virus has mutated. It's not like she was told the sky is blue and then told the sky is yellow.  Things have changed and will continue to change. She also thinks there might come a day when people (like her I'm assuming) who fed up with mask mandates will move to states without mask mandates.  If that happens I foresee a drop in population for those states if the virus continues to spread. And after Meghan spoke Whoopi just moved onto Sunny without even acknowledging a word of what Meghan said.

I'm with Sara that there should be negative consequences for not being vaxxed… aside from, you know, maybe dying.

Meggie, so sorry to hear you’re being held hostage in DC and can’t return to mask free Arizona!  Also sorry to hear your fancy education apparently didn’t include any lessons in not ending a sentence with a preposition.  That really drives me up a wall.

Joy is right.  Anne Tyler books are the best.  I’m disappointed that I’ve read all of them and there are none left for me to read.

So she thinks this "crime" she keeps harping on just magically appeared after Biden became president?  She never specifies what crime she is talking about. Never specifies who exactly is committing these crimes.
