Popular Post AryasMum May 11, 2021 Popular Post Share May 11, 2021 Sure Meghan it’s the CDC’s and the Biden Administration’s fault that your friends don’t want to be around you. Does this moron realize that the vast majority of Americans are not getting vaccinated so they can party in Vegas? Because that’s as deep as she thinks this goes. Most us are getting vaccinated to protect ourselves, because we care about our more vulnerable loved ones, some who are immunocompromised and have to rely on herd immunity. We care about doing our part to protect the children who are too young to be vaccinated, to protect the first responders and essential workers who have been carrying the heaviest burden of all. But sure, it’s really about the Princess of Arizona having fun. Go ahead and endanger your friends and family, Megs, but keep the fuck away from me and mine. Burn all your masks in righteous patriotic protest. Bring your vulnerable little baby and pass her around, you idiot. Just shut up about things you either know nothing about, or deliberately twist to elevate your team. Not everyone is a trust fund baby. Not everyone has access to the finest care in this country. Not everyone can take their health for granted because they know their fall will always be cushioned by money and power. 30 Link to comment

The more I know MeAgain McCain, the less I think of My Father. The View has a lot of nerve chapping on FOX for spreading disinformation when they coddle the one who has no real grasp on reality. There are tons of horrible stories and ugly facts about John McCain. He's been lionized for a few late in life deeds, but (like with, for example, Liz Cheney) that doesn't erase the rest of his life. Getting specifically back to how this applies to Meghan, it's not just that she's a child of privilege. John was too. A lot of the uglier stories about him actually have nothing to do with politics, but with how his family connections got him out of (well deserved) trouble in his military career, many many times. So the delusion that she's special is deeply ingrained in Meghan McCain. It's her true legacy from MyFather. Edited May 11, 2021 by Kromm 5 24 Link to comment

I am so frustrated with Meghan and her "tribe", who continue to tout these untruths, and continue to see Covid-19 as a "red" or "blue" thing. As you say, diseases are not partisan, and I'm sick and tired of hearing this bullshit from many Republicans, Fox News and their followers. Meghan referencing how she sees things related to life (or, in this situation, Covid) differently than the left just continues this ridiculous narrative, and continues to prove that Meghan really has nothing else in her life other than politics. For that, I am sad for her. She seems to not be able to have any conversation about anything without turning it into a political discussion. I can't imagne her even having a normal discussion about the weather. I have friends who are the same as Meghan, and trying to discuss this with them is like talking to a wall - they will always see everything as "blue" and "red". So, when they try to turn everything into a political conversation, I keep changing the subject until we get to something that CANNOT be turned around (like kids - kids are always a good subject to talk about, and usually it's neutral territory!) Until Fox can get their entertainment team (Tucker Carlson, et al) to stop spouting this nonsense, there will be no chance of managing this pandemic. And, I also agree with Joy - I will always have a mask available from now on - especially for trains, subways, airplanes, etc. I usually get at least two/three bad colds a year. I haven't had a cold since sometime back in the fall of 2019. This could be because I also upped my vitamin/supplement intake since last March (taking extra C, D and a zinc supplement) and I am much more vigilant about hand washing and sanitizing, but I think that doing those things, combined wearing a mask in stores and other crowded public places is working - so, if that's the case, I'll keep on doing it, until I feel comfortable going without a mask. LetsStartTalking May 12, 2021 Share May 12, 2021 Getting away from Meganutz for a few minutes, I have a few comments on yesterday's show as well as this morning's show... Yesterday, they talked about the 'viral video' of the man who asked the young girl (18 ? 19? 20?) in a public place if he could 'take the chair' opposite her. She responded he could, and then the little buttercup was frightened when he sat down across from her, and went into her panic mode to get him away from her. Whoopi and Sunny came down pretty hard on the man, telling 'older men' that 'young females' aren't interested in them, so get away from them! Mind you, no one knows anything at all about the guy except he politely asked the girl if he could take that seat in a public place, she said yes, and sat across from her and was started polite conversation. That's all we know, before the snowflake went into melt-down. Yet Whoopi and the ladies decided to rip him apart. Did they ever think he may have been a Jehovah's Witness and was 'witnessing' in that public place, and was going to invite her to his church ? Or maybe he was a Christian who was going to invite her to a Bible Study group ? Or possibly belonged to another religion and was going to invite her to his gathering ?? Maybe he was a job recruiter, or maybe he was working for a health organization getting young people's opinion on COVID, or the vaccine. No one knew anything about him, except how the buttercup reacted and went into panic mode. Seriously, the 'hot topic' shouldn't be on the assumption of the intentions of this man, but why a young lady her age is in a public place and doesn't know how to socialize with others, and lives in fear when a stranger approaches her. It's so sad to see this is how our young adults are making their way into adulthood. KUDOS to Joy Behar, who -for some reason - is angry that people on social media are allowed to conduct themselves anonymously, or under a fake name, as if social media has only been around for a year or so. She asks why can't people be their real selves, and not hide behind these fake names on social media ????? She then ironically defers the conversation back to the moderator Caryn Johnson, who has used the 'stage name' Whoopi Goldberg in public for nearly 40 years, who then does an interview with Stacey Abrams, who has written romance novels sold to the public under the fake name 'Selena Montgomery'. Good move, Joy! 1 1 Link to comment

On the Joy comment--I don't see the comparison you're making. Fake names on social media can be a major issue regarding things like stalking, connecting with underage people, scamming people, etc. Your comparison of having a stage name (that everyone knows about and knows your real name) and having a pen name (again when people can find out who you are) make no sense to me. In both of those instances those people aren't trying to do anything so people don't know who they are but those with fake identities on social media most often are. Totally different in my opinion. I agreed with Joy regarding social media and identities. 17 Link to comment

Essential workers were basically the only ones out on the road. Now that more people are back out there working, gas prices have gone back up. Of course The Princess wouldn't get this. Yeeesh. Or that typically, gas prices do go up during the summer. Ignorant maroon. 19 Link to comment
Vanderboom May 12, 2021 Share May 12, 2021 I love how "meat and potatoes" issues usually get a shout-out when Meghan's back is against the wall. "Moving the needle" is another one. "Real Americans" are slowly being stripped of their voting rights and access, but somehow that's not as important as comparing current gas prices to last year's lockdown conditions. 1 12 Link to comment

It's so sad to see this is how our young adults are making their way into adulthood. I was going to comment on this yesterday but didn't because I didn't know the situation. However, I will piggyback off your comment. I watch and enjoy Tiktok. A big part of Tiktok is people creating scenarios or recreating scenarios that have been previously-made. I have seen a handful of Tiktok videos similar to this girl's video. (Just the day before, I had seen one in which the girl was sitting on a bus, a man asked to sit by her and proceeded with flirtatious small-talk, while the girl was uncomfortable with her eyes darting from the man to her camera.) Tiktokers make these videos for comments, likes and follows. I don't know what the situation is with the video that was made by the girl that was featured on The View, but I did go onto her Tiktok account and, a couple of days after her controversial video, she posted a video thanking everyone for 30,000 follows. I expect Meghan and Sara to understand how Tiktok works, but I can understand them being wary to offer a counterargument because then it becomes a case in which you didn't believe the woman. 13 hours ago, LetsStartTalking said: KUDOS to Joy Behar, who -for some reason - is angry that people on social media are allowed to conduct themselves anonymously, or under a fake name, as if social media has only been around for a year or so. It’s creepy when a dude invades your space. Why is it 'creepy when a dude invades your space' ? Why has socialization become so fearful with this generation of snowflakes ? He didn't have a chance to explain or introduce himself, as she quickly went into panic mode and asked him to leave. You can hear the whole audio which she shared - he didn't get far. And when he asked her for the seat, he came across very politely. When she told him to leave, he did. Sad to say EVERYONE jumped to assumptions about this scenario, especially the hosts. It's sad to see this buttercup generation has such a sinister look on society, and lives in fear - not trust. Link to comment
