First, I think that saying Haley looks traumatized by the sex is....reaching.  I’m a rape survivor and I don’t take this lightly.  There’s been no mention of sex or rape here by Haley.  
F’ing Chris.  On his phone and done with the conversation because it wasn’t going his way.  
My hubby and I are 50.  We check in via text when we get to work etc.  Not because it’s a controlling thing, it’s an anti-worry thing.  I like to know he is safe at his destination and he likes to know the same about me.  Also, we check in with each other about personal plans.  Not asking permission, just bouncing it off each other to make sure it fits in with our plans. I think all this is just courtesy between a couple who truly operate 50/50.

I see Paige so differently than a lot of people.  She went into that meeting with Chris and  Mercedes on a mission to blow his spot up.   The calm demeanor and smiling was because she was being very deliberate to let Mercedes know exactly what Chris had done and said while letting her know she wasn’t bothered by her at all.  Chris was hoping for drama and for the ladies to fight over him.   Kudos to both for not giving him the satisfaction.   

  If you listen to Paige on all of her unfiltered appearances it’s pretty obvious she’s been done with  Chris even though she is edited differently on the show.

Vincent lost me after last week's hissy fit. I don't know why Briana jokingly said "That's so Vinny", but it didn't seem to be malicious. For all we know Vinny MAY be a klutz and we haven't seen it. Vinny initially appeared all calm, sweet and loving, but feeling threatened or disrespected, flipped a switch. Apparently his cousin was right when she told Briana that Vinny has a temper.

From that moment on, I was over him. He was exhibiting that male machismo. I WILL NOT BE DISRESPECTED!!  Get over yourself, Vincent. Respect is a 2 way street.

In both his TH and chat with his wise friend Jalen (Jaden?), He said that Briana should have offered to get paper towels and clean his shirt. Wtf? Clean your own damn shirt you fool! You made the mess. Instead he goes to bed sulking. Briana had no clue what she did to cause him to feel disrespected, but Vinny wouldn't give her an example. Poor thing was on the verge of tears when he left.

 

If they stay together she's going to be walking around on eggshells, trying not to set him off. He's extremely insecure and pairing him with a much more educated and accomplished partner isn't doing him any favors.

I’m wondering if this is all an act that Chris set up with his ex. Maybe she’s not an ex (or she is) and he just wanted fame and exposure on this show and he had a plan to bring this “ex fiancé pregnancy” scenario into play if he was truly not into her. Maybe they planned the whole situation as a way to kind of both remain relevant on tv and also get out of a marriage to someone he has zero attraction to? I’m just brainstorming cause it feels so staged to me.

No comments on Chris and Paige because I am now just fast forwarding through them. Enough already. And f$ck this show for this.

I think Ryan is holding back because he knows they have some major fundamental differences and he hasn’t decided if he can live with it. But screw Clara for judging a GROWN MAN for declining the peer pressure to do a stupid Jell-O shot. I mean, seriously, how old is she? Fifteen??? She hit the jackpot with Ryan bc it seems like she’s kissed a lot of toads. Not sure she can do better for herself. They are kind of opposites though - she’s a party girl and he’s a serious person. I hope she gives him a chance and a haircut.

Haley is a big nothing to me. She just sit there and nods and smiles. There is nothing there - just glazed over eyes and red matte lipstick. Jake might be a little odd but he seems comfortable in his own skin and friendly with everyone. He might have been perfect for someone else, but not this ice queen. She is my second least favorite this season after the POS at the top of my post.

What a bunch of nothing with Vinny and Bri - he didn’t even leave! Good one, show - ya got me! 

Erick is correct to question why VA wanted to get married. She doesn’t seem like she really wants to be married. She is an alcoholic. Someone needs to ask this chick why she needs to drink ALL.THE.TIME. Erick needs to run. Even if they say yes on decision day I will be shocked if they last a year.

All the friends tonight were on fire. My favs were Vincent’s friend and Haley’s friend. More wisdom from those two people in five minutes of screen time than the experts combined all season.

I will never ever understand this need for damn near everyone to have a pet. It's all unappealing to me. Which is fine. It's their life. There had been much debate about Jake’s attractiveness. I noticed that now that his hair is growing back, he is a pretty decent looking guy. He is a good height and his bodybuilding physique does not hurt. I really think he chose the worst possible haircut for his facial features right before the wedding. He might have actually looked better with a shaved head.

WTH with the terrible camera work on Jamie?  She was out of focus most of the time and the bookshelves behind her were in HD.  Who knows?  Maybe she reads this board, knows everyone can't stand her, and did that on purpose...?  I don't hate you, Jamie.  You keep collecting your coin and popping out children as long as you can!  Very awkward for Jacob.  It seemed obvious that Paige and Brianna are totally Team Haley.  I liked how he didn't pull any punches about his thoughts on Chris. 

Briana and Vincent

Briana seemed to understand where Vincent was coming from, but he needs to ar·tic·u·late in the moment instead of holding things in.  It's unfair to expect Briana to be a mind reader.  His friend gave amazing advice.  Like many others have said, the friends are doing far better than the (absentee) experts this season.  I thought the family get-together was nice.  They kind of remind me of AJ and Steph.  AJ was always tense and snapping at production, but Steph was AMAZING and patient.  I never thought they would make it, but now they are one of my favorite couples to watch on Couples Cam. If Elizabeth and Jamie can survive and turn things around, I still have hope for Briana and Vincent. 

Clara and Ryan

Meh.  I don't really have much to say on them.  They don't seem to have any chemistry.  They seem...cold...?  They may be having fun, but it must be off-camera.  Thanks, Show.

All I hear is a lonely bugler playing "Taps" in my head every time they are onscreen. 

Virginia and Erik

You know, at first I wasn't ready to jump on the "Virginia has a serious problem with alcohol" train, but I am firmly buckled in after this episode.  At her age, she should be past the college campus constantly drunk stage, but she isn't.  I wonder if she smells like alcohol when she wakes up every morning.  I will say the dogs cracked me up.  When Erik said his dog was like him and her dog was like her, I could completely see it. lol  Her dog is cute but HYPER!  I wonder if Erik was cheated on and that's why he is so paranoid.  Anyway, I want to like them, but I hope that she can mature and he can let go.  His friend gave really good advice as well.  +1 for friends this episode.

Paige, Mercedes, and PunkA$$Child

Definitely agree with others that Mercedes and PunkA$$Child seem to be lying.  I can only HOPE Paige is in on this farce because otherwise...I just don't know.  His behavior with his (YES FIIIIIINE) friends was awful and disrespectful.  He has the maturity of a two year old.  I did appreciate his one friend telling him that Paige was a DIAMOND.  I just wish Paige thought of herself that way.  WhereTH are the experts?  Was there no intervention?  Did they have nothing to say (aside from the lame Pastor Cal discussion last week)?  Where are Dr. Pepper and Viviana?? Why are we not getting their thoughts on the situation?  I have BEEN done with this couple.  At the end of the episode, I was like, "Yes. This HAS to be the last we see of this burning dumpster of a match," but then?  The previews. *sigh*

I agree with you, the sit down/show down was handled very well by the women. But at this point, for me at least- it was too little too late from Paige. She decided to grow a spine after HE dumped HER. And so yeah... still questioning her emotional intelligence. I'll continue to side eye her. Sex with him unprotected, almost every DAY? With HIM? After he faked a panic attack cuz he thought she was ugly! Effing no. Not converting to a Paige fan. The damage is done imo

I think Chris and Mercedes planned this. Merced’s had that same dumb smile like she was enjoying it, but played it off better than him. And he is a textbook narcissist. He is LITERALLY hitting every single narcissistic red flag, it’s almost like he’s following a playbook. I’ve never seen a narcissist THIS obvious before on my TV. I’m baffled how he’s not been called out yet. I literally have no words, his narcissism is absolutely INSANE  

 

I sympathize. I lived with an alcoholic stepmother.  I’ve always been triggered by others’ alcoholic behavior.  I do drink, but I don’t like to be anything beyond slightly tipsy.  I am older so I skipped the binge drinking that goes on today.   It’s dangerous on many levels.  Virginia seems to have many enablers who allow her to escape the natural consequence of her behavior.  My amateur armchair psychologist self thinks she has a lot of anxiety  and numbs herself with alcohol.  Her girlfriends who won’t do more than 3 shots with her have begun to back out of excess drinking and may know Virginia is looking for more than a good time.

He has some rose colored glasses on when it comes to her. She seemed to make her own poor dog fidgety and nervous.

I think she will stay with him mostly because of his bank roll and because he is a pilot, she won't have to deal with him as much as a husband with a regular 9-5 job. This will give her plenty of time to go out and party.

In the tease for next week we see Haley bringing Jake some big blue bags that we all hope are filled with new, well fitted clothes for him...

Grampy Jake needs to hop into the Hot Tub Time Machine and wear clothes that human males are wearing in 2021...

Predicting Jake will return in kind with a tacky 80's outfit fresh from the Goodwill for Haley that she will have to burn then fumigate the condo.....

What the hell...Why why why do we have to see PO$ and Paige sitting in the same camera shot...they must be filming to fulfill their contract.

I'd rather see Mercedes and Paige hang out with the brides and trash talking Po$.....Ginny will be the bartender.

I don't usually watch Unfiltered because I don't like the host. But, is Paige on every single time???? I am so sick of both of them sucking up so much air time. I do, at this point, think that all three of them are in on this. Otherwise, there is no way Paige would have been allowed to go to a meeting with there being no intermediary from the show there to facilitate that mess. 

If Chris is playing a part of a script, he is doing a great job. I happen to think that he is just being Chris. I don't know what Paige's game is, but she cannot be that desperate and clinging to a "marriage" less than 2 weeks old.

I really am done with Ginny and Erik. She came home still drunk and just seemed so distracted and uninterested in being there. So, she chose to ONLY invite her male friends and no female ones? I bet she was in her glory - all men and her. Erick is a fool and she isn't even very pretty. And he was totally right that her dog feeds into her energy and gets hyper when she does.S ave the dog!!!

I was surprised when Clara announced to everyone that she hadn't even seen Ryan without a shirt and hope that she was just joking. I still like him and hope she gets some action soon or she will explode. And not in a good way.

I really need Brianna to stop the laughing at every single thing she says.

Oh, the other reason I don't like the Unfiltered show is that the purpose is to get other people to gossip about people who aren't there. How junior high school. And, as someone said, who are any of these people to give marriage advice to anyone else? I was disgusted hearing Paige saying how it takes time to grow the marriage - she is the LAST person to give advice. The only thing she needs to grow is a spine.

It seemed like the show could have been about 12 minutes without the commercials. I still fell asleep and need to watch the end and the previews for next week. As long as Chris snd Paige are on, I will probably just record and watch the next day to fast forward. Terrible season. I might actually be able to mean it when I say (as I do every year) that I am done.

I don’t think Haley is traumatized either; I think she’s not into him and as everyone in her life has pointed out, including her, she rejects men quickly and for superficial reasons, and that’s what she’s doing. She’s not used to not being able to cut and run, and I think that’s what’s freaking her out.

I think they'll stay on the show. Every time a marriage has ended early that I can think of, both people have stayed on the show. Mindy and Zach, Olivia and Brett (although that technically wasn't early because the show prolonged the time to decision day), and the Miami couple that didn't make it past the honeymoon - the show made them do stupid exercises like writing letters to each other and dragged out them telling friends and family that they were getting divorced.

Paige is as attractive as Chris’s ex. They have very different features but are on the same level of attractiveness. He’s acting like Paige is ugly. Chris doesn’t like dark skinned girls and equates light skin with attractiveness. That is the real reason why he thinks Paige is not attractive.

I think my problem with him is that he seems to be acting like her father rather than her husband. That seems to be the worst thing you can do with someone like her.

Unless Haley says she was in some way traumatized by having sex with Jake, I don't believe it and that is saying Jake is harming her in some way which isn't fair. Having sex which is not fulfilling is not trauma for heaven's sake! I think she regrets having sex with him because she thinks she is better than him. Her friends suggested she is usually alone which means she thinks no is good enough for her. I have a good friend that is now over 50 and is still hoping to find someone she thinks "deserves her". She is a great person but has passed  by so many nice, good looking men because all she could see were flaws. I do think Jake is quirky and not to everyone tastes, but Haley isn't giving him a chance.

I like both Clara and Ryan but he seems way too intense and serious for a 29 year old. I hope they can work things out. Virginia always looks wasted and although I don't really like Erik, I just don't see him putting up with her constant drinking. How could they ever have a family? The experts really needed to place someone closer to his age with him. Vincent and Brianna will be fine, they just have to get used to each other,

I don't understand the whole Chris and Paige thing. What was his purpose in getting them together? I do think the women handled the meeting with class, while Chris was upset because he wanted some kind of cat fight over him.

HUMBO: Chri$ is in some one sided feud with JOtis so Paige is fulfilling her contract reliving her worst nightmare and must be taking PO$' turn also.

One thing I have learned from this show is that if someone likes someone they will ignore several red flags that are horribly obvious to everyone else. This has happened with Eric/Virginia and much worse, Paige/Chris.

The inverse is if someone is not into the stranger they married then nothing seems to change their minds. A lot of the vloggers think Jake is quite the catch but Haley has already put him in the NO category.

This was true for Dave/Amber, Brandon/Taylor, Molly/Jon, etc...

The only two exceptions were Jamie O/Doug and Jephte/Shawniece.

There are a lot of women that go years without an orgasm. Even with steady partners. That's why I made my statement. I don't see holding it against a guy. Even if you know your partner really well, it's just not an automatic thing. Everyone always WANTS an orgasm but sometimes that might not be the case or a host of different reasons.

But, if Haley really is the type to often look for the exit, something as common as that could be enough of deal breaker. First time or no.
