Interesting deets from the NYT article @dccfangirl posted on Cowboys home games this year. All Jerry Jones wants is his money. The 'Boys are dead last in their division with only 3 wins and not one team has lost more games than they have.

The Jets sure do wish that last bit were true. That said, the NFC east is such a train wreck that the Cowboys still have a chance to make the playoffs. It’s comical. Washington has four wins and the rest have three.  All four teams are SO BAD.

None of this takes away your main point, though, and it’s no surprise that Jones is so careless. He’s been lucky that there hasn’t been Ravens level issues.

Oh, wow--I must have been looking at only the NFC records. That is dreadful that the Jets have 10 losses and the Jags have 9! The Jets could become one of few NFL teams to lose every game in a regular season. Yikes. I looked it up, and the Cowboys were the first NFL team to lose every game in a season (1960). Guess Dallas should be grateful that other teams are even worse this year.

Seems like the shoddy NFL records and some of the critiques about game day DCC performances this season point to these being less than optimal conditions for top-notch execution of plays or dances. I get it. 2020 is a sh*t show. I keep thinking how hard it must be, not just for rookies, to call the dances and follow the leader on the touchdown decks. How does that work, exactly? You can't have the 2 leaders call a different tag on the same deck, like they might when on the sidelines in the four corners. Does one GL on each deck call all the tags and shots during each half of game day or something like that? I really hope they address that on the show. I like that we've gotten a couple of seasons of seeing "follow the leader" during training camp, but I also want to see how that works on game days.

This photo Maddie posted is absolutely gorgeous. I love the longer hair. I usually agree with the posters here who say her looks always skews young but this and the pictures from the last swimsuit shoot really show how she's matured into her looks.

Beautiful pic indeed. She’s not a fave by any stretch, but this picture highlights her maturity and beauty like you said

I'm annoyed that Jalyn is so far back on the squad photo this year, her third year!  You can totally tell Kelli and Judy aren't happy with her for whatever reason.  She is a much better performer that Taylor J, Madeline M, and Kat.

I don’t know if it’s because I’m looking at it on my phone but a lot of their heads almost look like they were photoshopped on the bodies, like they shorten all their necks😂  Maybe because they were all photoshopped in, the shadow around their faces are off

Tess looks like a paper doll that someone messed up cutting the arms out, and cut too much.  Her arms look like sticks, with a deflated sleeves.  And what’s the deal with some of the DCC jacking the girls up to Jesus to where they it looks painful and or will spill out the top of the uniform.  Some look so tight, that deep breaths aren’t possible.  The other girls look natural, though flat in this photo!

Haha my eyes go straight to Rachel W’s hilariously long arms with the sleeve-blending and Kat and Victoria’s leg pops, which I actually like. Pop those legs, girls! Gotta take advantage of an outside spot! 😂

I agree with the poster a few pages back who can’t get over the intermittent mask wearing this season in the “bubble”. It’s especially odd after seeing this season of Great British Bake Off, where they actually had a TRUE bubble, tested everyone and quarantined until they got negative results, and then were able to film as usual, no masks, everyone could be up close and personal like normal, because it was a true bubble situation with the full cast and crew, (and it was quite a few people!) no one in or out. It’s just SO weird to hear them talk about the bubble and all these precautions but still show them wearing masks intermittently, I can’t get over it! Obviously we’ll never know the full covid plan but it’s pretty obvious that there were legit concerns to be had. Just so weird.

Bake Off is my fave and I’m so thankful they all bubbled to make the show happen this year! They basically took over a country hotel and nobody was allowed in or out! It shows it can be done as they had zero problems.

NFC South also has a team who is hugging the bottom for foolish reasons - like watching a live ball roll across the field after an onside kick....hint: note my postername.. Hence a new TCC , who also was the pro-bowl rep, has my full support being elsewhere this season...

The Jets just need to find their peace and comfort in their 1st round pick - which most likely will be Tyler Florence from Clemson

Dallas just need to find their peace and comfort in that Dak will continue to heal back to his playing condition for 2021. If they make the playoffs (I think there is an extra wild card game slot this year - source ), that will be a bonus. No need to be calling the jeweler getting fingers measured for a ring, though.

Switching over to the AFC - 🙏 go  out to Denver. All four QBs will miss game vs. Saints due to COVID protocol. Last I heard , Denver does not want to forfeit the game, and I guess it can't be rescheduled/postponed. Stay tuned - kickoff is not until 4 pm EST

I wonder if they straightened Marissa’s hair to make her look older but it didn’t help. I would have liked the way she regularly does her hair.

This picture is much better. I can see the back rows better and I see that my favorite TCC, Dani McGinnis (#TeamDani) has gotten noticed and she is now more in front than any other rookie. I really hope she can fulfill her potential in the future. I can say the same about Armani Latimer, Darian Lassiter, Elli DiGiovanni, Jada McLean, Claire Wolford and yes McKenzie Sherman, who are all Gina Ligi level dancers who can be point. Compared to the points we had last year, they align much better with the great points of the past, dance but also look wise.

We have a very strong rookie class, and it is not strange to see the weaker vets being cut. Weaker, because they are lesser dancers or because they are less attractive. If I had been in Kelli's shoes I would not have compromised on the dancing or the look I really wanted, with a bigger emphasis on the looks. Instead, Kelli made irrational decisions and put girls on the team she never really was happy about, creating a B-team, a second rate DCC, who could be cut whenever the opportunity rose. This is not how to you treat people, or how you would want to be treated. Not in Dallas or in East Texas.

Bless her heart Marissa got a raw deal with her hair. Her curls made her look more in proportion. I think that out of all the TCC's Marissa was the most polished (and Alora Rose the least) and this was for a reason. Marissa needs to be polished. Other girls, like Alora Rosa are beauties without any polish. Changing a hair setup that has been worked on for so long is just not best practice. It will not keep Marissa down though. She is invincible!

This season may turn out to be my favorite after Season 2 (Meredith Oden's rookie year) , and Season 4 (Jackie Bob's rookie year).

A few observations:

1) LOVE that the girls knew routines coming in!!

2) How Armani was NOT top 36 before night 1 is BAFFLING!!

3) Any girl cut in the past because of a thicker butt area should be pissed, because Claire W is VERY thick in the butt and thigh areas!!

4) I have HUGE girl crushes on Armani, Jada, Jessica, Mckenzie and Dani!!

5) I am interested to see why Annabelle was cut, since she was the top rookie coming in.

6) Sydney = Kat 2.0, but less camera ready.

Bless Denver’s heart...trying to activate an assistant coach because he knows the offense. And the NFL won’t do that OR let them reschedule for Tuesday night when they’ll be able to use a regular QB.

The NFL is SO inconsistent in how they’re managing the virus. I know they’ve got bigger barriers than the NBA or NHL just due to the size of the rosters, but sheesh.

Masks make sense during training camp so they could get a feel for them and how they moved. If they had done a true bubble then added in masks the same time as the boots, would have made more sense to me. Then you’ve got a true dress rehearsal with a game day situation.

This is my first time to post. Been a reader for forever! I am so excited! Just watched the first episode. Love the girls! Everybody is so talented. Love Kelli and Judy. I know it is not a popular opinion on this forum. But I think they are incredible leaders. I admire both of them. I always come here to get the scoop. Thank you to all the insiders. Can't wait for episode 2!

May have to disagree with you on this.  Thick by DCC standards, not thick.  She is shaped like a woman not like a little girl.  She looks beautiful in the uniform!

Claire W is a whole other level of dancer from those cut because they were too thick.  Most were cut for dance reasons too.  Melissa, from SMU, was the same. And yes I am comparing Claire W to Melissa, that is the caliber dancer that Claire W is.

I can agree with you in regards to two of the cuts because they WERE truly two of the weakest vets in either looks, dance, or both.  However, to say that the other two cuts were ONLY due to dance (which was not likely in either case, especially one because she was on Show Group for 2 years and the other was said to rarely make mistakes even if she wasn't on Show Group) or ONLY due to looks which I could see as a possibility because neither have been conventionally pretty.  However, there have been PLENTY of other girls who haven't been conventionally pretty on the squad and they weren't cut because of their looks and the incoming rookies were both strong and good-looking.  If vets MUST be cut for looks or dance (or other issues), I can think of other girls who could easily be cut before the two multi-year vets.  Also, the cuts of these two vets were evidently NOT due to dance or appearance according to what has been stated on social media.  In addition, if said posts are true (and I believe there is far more truth then not in those posts), then TPTB don't want to acknowledge it in any way because it would make them look worse then they already do for cutting these girls.

I don't get the NFL rulings either regarding COVID. Its pretty plain that a game might not happen when its supposed to. Thanksgiving game (Steelers vs Ravens) moved all the way to Tuesday. Unless they are thinking a professional televised game w/o a QB will break the TV ratings. Which has my attention, too, to be honest.

I bet if Drew was starting today (🙏 go to out to him w/ 11 broken ribs and a collapsed lung), I'll bet ole Elway would be tempted to suit up himself. LOL

So much sickness and injury  this season.... Were any DCC placed on COVID protocol or got injured? Are the all-stars/newly-retired activated to fill in?

Why - they didn't use them when the girls were quarantined at the beginning of the season, and it's not like they need a certain amount for Thunderstruck

IF you had to cut one veteran based solely on everything BUT dancing ability (looks, personality, how they "pop" in front of an audience) I would cut one of the following:  Tess, Amber, Madeline (not Maddie) or Alanna.  To me they are practically interchangeable in looks.  And as far as personality/pop, none put out any more or less than the others.

I don't know what it is about some of the brunettes that are currently on the team, but I find most of them incredibly boring to watch.  Just my opinion of course, and remember that I didn't base my opinions on their dancing ability.

I don’t think they’ll ever cut Tess. A commenter joked a while back (and it made me laugh pretty hard) that she’s been a DCC for the past “10-15 years” it seems. There does come a time IMO when, for better or worse, a DCC has been on the team long enough where she won’t be cut. Alanna may be relatively unknown (ignored) by many, but to me that’s a shame cause I actually really like her and her personality. I wouldn’t want her cut. And I do find Madeline M. cute for what it’s worth (I get most/all of them are  “cute,” but at the end of the day, I do have my personal types) 🤷‍♂️

As usual I’m blanking on Amber 😂

Your comment is interesting in that I think the exact opposite.  I would not be surprised if Kelly/Judy told several veterans through the years do not embarrass yourself by trying out again or you will be cut.  Retire gracefully and keep your dignity.

Fans get tired of seeing the same people all the time.  And they also get tired of seeing the same routine.  I know it's their signature, but is anyone else tired of seeing that one where they pound the grass and do the kickline?  The name is on the tip of my tongue but I can't remember.  Anyway, I'd like that to be retired and be replaced by something new and fresh.

Ugh, the Raiders... I live near Oakland...they were THE TEAM in the 60s/70s (Stabler, Belitnekoff, Sistrunk, etc) with John Madden then Art Shell at the helm...then that move to Los Angeles...and largely forgotten...until their return to Oakland. The new fan base here created a very raunchy image that the team seemed to feel they needed to sink into...I'm happy they're gone again.

Oh yes, totally understand your thinking and to be honest I do prefer it when some of the 4,5 years decide to hang it up. I just think that for whatever reason when a girl decides to do a 5th or 6th year, K&J let it happen regardless of the DCC in question. And to be honest I do appreciate new and fresh, but I do like unproblematic "new and fresh" (Amanda, Kelcey, Chandi, Bridget and Hannah (when they joined) etc.) than the maybe "too-fresh" (young, a bit immature) ones like Marissa and Victoria.

Question about episode 1  that I have to ask here  -

Were there veterans below the 36 line on Kelli's Smart board ?  If so how, or why  , did they get ranked there? Were they ranked based up their last audition score ?

I've always had the position that the lowest ranking veteran should get cut - to keep everyone who is returning on their toes.

Did the vets have an interview? that normally gets someone on  Kelli/Judy/charlotte's  "watch" list..
