I couldn’t help but notice that sometime between Dex’s death and running into Cam, Joss had gotten a French manicure 😂

I assume her nails looking good is a high priority for the holidays and Dex's memorial/funeral.

Elizabeth is a great mom; she raised Cam to be kind-hearted and a gentleman. Joss certainly didn't deserve that farewell hug from him.

I was surprised by the Tracy-Jason scene because they are so rarely scene partners. Isn't JE the last original cast member for the Quartermaine Family, who was there when SB was cast as teenage Jason approx. 30 years ago? Interesting to watch, although it also makes me sad that LC isn't well enough to be on-screen with them.

NGL, there are shockingly five potential couples I like on this show now. Two they are clearly actively pushing, two it looks like they might be, and one that they clearly are not, but, hey, they had a fantastic potential scene!

1. Elizabeth and Lucky!!!

2. Dante and Lulu

3. Sasha and Jason

4. Tracy and Martin

5. Molly and Isaiah

It's a Christmas miracle!

  • LOL 1

As far as I can tell Isaiah has mad chemistry with everybody in PC except Jordan.

Inviting Drew over for Christmas is extra stupid. Well done Willow.

I found Felicia telling Willow that she didn’t need to go out of her way for a holiday play date after she saw Willow vibing with Drew unintentionally really funny.

I find Drew insufferable.

I guess they are trying to make Jason and Sasha happen but the part where he could be her father is just too ick for me. See also or at least almost also Willow and Drew.

Willow thinks that Drew is hurting as much as Michael. Like what?

It has been only 1 day and Willow is passively letting Nina handle her divorce. Shouldn't she talk to Michael at some point rather than worry about Drew spending Christmas alone.

Nina's red dress is pretty but it clashed terribly with her couch and the Christmas decorations which seems stupid to notice because I certainly don't dress to match my furniture.

I wish Cam's scene had been with Laura or Lulu than Joss. I want to be able to fast forward Joss's scenes because I'm already bored with her PAIN.

Speaking of pain, whatever happened to Jason's box of pain? Is it still sitting in that closet shelf in his penthouse?

I don't know if it's insider trading per se, but I don't think you can lie about earnings to manipulate the stock price, "leaked" preliminary report or not. But then, Michael didn't cared when Carly and Drew definitely committed insider trading, so this is par for the course. As long as he benefits, who cares?

Isaiah is completely wasted on Jordan. He had more chemistry with Willow, and that was no test.

They're pathetic. Though I had to laugh at Carly raging at Jason for Michael not telling her about Drew and Willow. Carly needs to aim that anger at Michael. And of course there's no recognition that a custody fight is the worst thing for the kids. It's all about control—Carly having control.

As for Nina: You love a ticking time bomb, don't you?

The less said about Drew, the better. Willow, just walk away! Gah.

The whole plan between Curtis and SLS is incredibly illegal.  Aurora is a publicly traded company, and they just defrauded their own stockholders, big time.  Plus if SLS is buying a gigantic number of shares, enough to make him the largest shareholder, that alone requires SEC filings.  Which obviously didn’t happen.

In the real world, Curtis and SLS would be going to prison for a very long time.

EDIT:  They would also both be liable for many millions of dollars of damages in a shareholder lawsuit.

Tracy and Martin are interesting together.  MEK and JE are both skilled actors and have fun dialogue.  More of them as at least frenemies is a good move.

I mean, she did cheat on Chase with Michael, so I really don't understand how he can view her as a goody goody.  Michael seems to have invented in his own head that Willow only did that because was in loovvveee with him.  Well, Michael, newsflash...Willow is a ho!  Just like you!  lol

Well, he admitted to Chase today that he had put her on a pedestal and now realizes she's human. Their conversation showed more self-reflection than any other characters have shown in a long time.

Oh, no! That might mean Heather is back -- didn't she do that with her hook?

I guess they are, but the energy I saw from Jason/SB in their last scene was very fatherly. I think they could’ve made Sasha his long lost daughter had they not gone the ridiculous Holly/Robert route. I would’ve enjoyed seeing them interacting and her nudging him out of the curmudgeon personality he has now.

(I know he’s a deadbeat dad to his sons, but having Sasha bond or not with them would’ve been interesting to watch for me also.)

Anything to keep him out of Carly’s screeching reach.

In summary, I hope he’ll be a uncle type protector to her, because I only see Sofia’s personal sparkle in that relationship.

I love Tracy and Jane Elliott, to boot, but Jeebus Cripes!

It's "You're an ingrate" NOT "You're a ingrate" as what she told Jason.

I saw that too and rolled my eyes. Like just the night before, she had that other color, and some time in the morning, made the appointment to get the French? I guess that's her "one day at a time" or whatever she told Cameron?

I also laughed my ass off at the look of...chagrin? When she saw Gretchen. What? Was she thinking she'd latch back on to Cameron or like her succubeast of a mother, think that Cameron was her property?

I guess they'd rather spend all that useless time for those sauna scenes, but Joss made it sound like Dex died from the stab wound and not because of something else. Whatever. I don't care.

I also would have preferred a scene with Laura and Cameron instead of what we got. But we can't have nice things.

Willow is the most stupidest, idiotic person ever. Acting as if Drew isn't part of the reason her marriage has imploded. Like he's some innocent bystander in all this? And still she's looking at him with starry eyes?

Boy, they went from 0-100 with Willow and the SLS. From her "I need this one night" with the kids at Nina's to, weakly agreeing with Nina to separate and start divorce proceedings? Alrighty then. Again, I don't care, but it's like they're zipping through everything at warp speed.

FUCK YOU, SHOW. Telling me that Robert and Holly are continuously texting Sasha from offscreenville. Like that will make me feel better? Just bring Robert back WITHOUT Holly and say he dumped her on Teethan's doorstep. Or something.

I don't get this either. I wonder if CD's departure announcement (to TPTB) came in the middle of them writing this, and they're FFing everything to put Michael offscreen for a while? Because otherwise, despite the story's abject stupidity, there is a decent amount of drama to mine, and it could be used as a sort of umbrella story if the writers wanted to do so.

I think that’s what it is. Yet in the end, I’m sure his departure will be for a ridiculous reason and look completely unplanned as have others.

I feel as if Nina is pushing Willow so that she  can keep her relationships with her daughter and grandchildren. Once Carly becomes involved , those kids will disappear from Nina’s life.

Drew has become unwatchable. He’s so insincere and sleazy.

Sasha and Jason could end up married out of this. He will want to protect Michael’s child from the fighting he knows will happen.

Don’t throw tomatoes but I am starting to see a more nuanced Jason in his relationships.

I totally see this happening. And then they will fall in love. Michael will find out about it, but he will magnanimously forgive Jason because everyone forgives Jason. Except Tracy, who rules.

WOW!  So much SORASing!  So many changes.  And yet, so much is still the same. Thanks for much for sharing this little time capsule.

I think she was subconsciously hoping Cam would be sticking around and could fulfill the role of emotional support human much like Jason does for Carly.

So aren't Michael and Curtis playing at insider trading by tanking Aurora's shares so that Michael can swoop in and buy the company from under Drew? Because it sure as hell sounds like what they're doing is illegal. Maybe Michael heads to jail for this and shares a cell with Curtis.

I don't know that this meets the definition of "insider trading", but it is clearly fraud and stock manipulation. On top of that, this scheme will harm all the other stock holders who have presumably bought Aurora with the expectation that the owners/CEOs/company officers have a duty to protect the company against this kind of loss. Imagine those people whose investments are suddenly tanking, right before Christmas, or those people depending on this income for their retirements.

Did Michael and Curtis learn nothing from Carly and Drew? Or did they actually believe that baloney about how unfair it was that the SEC was tipped off to their insider trading - after all, Carly didn't even make any money on it? This is way worse.

I'm sure we were supposed to think that Marshall's return is a delightful holiday surprise, but all I can say is, Meh.

I chuckled a bit when Trina assured Laura she wasn't going to forget Spencer. I don't think Laura would care one way or the other.

LOL at Ric dropping the news about Aurora's change in leadership.

"At least you didn't do what I did, which is use you and Morgan against your mother." As if Sonny won't immediately tell Michael to "claim" his children the instant he learns Nina has the kids. Too bad Sonny doesn't extend that to Avery.

I'm a bit surprised Olivia wouldn't have invited Cody to have Christmas with the Qs. There's no way she'd let him be alone.

Of course Sonny can't shake Brennan's hand, or at least he has to be a petulant baby about it.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me the fact that no one is actually reacting to this is because that once again these writers does not know what Google or Ask Jeeves or whatever search engine you want to know and search up basic "what is legal in the business world."

Remember how long it took for people to even start going insider trading and then everyone doing mental gymnastics to ignore it.

This isn't insider trading  - but it's blatant stock manipulation, and it's public so basically Michael is defrauding his shareholders. BIG. CRIMES.  the SEC would be all over this.

MW looked beautiful today.  I wish Ava wasn't so murderous, because I completely enjoy everything else about the character.

I'm guessing Anna has Robin and/or Emma up her sleeve.  I don't think she would be as happy at the prospect of spending Christmas with Robert and Holly.

Only Nina's apartment and the Quartermaine foyer are impressively decorated.  Maxie's tree was woefully too small for that big space.

Willow, Michael and Drew are each good at casting the others as villains while totally exonerating their own behavior.  All three deserve each other.  Getting ready to throw Curtis into that mix, too.

This is the second stock related crime for Aurora.  I can't imagine the feds aren't monitoring them, and I hope they will ultimately cause the company to be dissolved.

Glad Cody decided to go to Maxie's after all.  He has more chemistry with Lulu anyway.  Sasha is carrying a noticeable baby bump, and I'm a little surprised she's not trying to hide it at this point.  Also surprised that she seems to have almost completely disassociated the pregnancy from her ONS with Michael.  Maybe she was going to tell him, maybe not.  But even if so, it came across as an afterthought.

I highly doubt this, but part of me is wondering if this could be Michael's exit storyline. This stock manipulation is discovered and he ends up going to prison. And Michael being the wonderful guy that he is takes all the blame and Curtis avoids prison time. It would be a temporary thing - like Nikolas in prison right now - until the show decides to recast.

I know a lot of people here hate Drew, but I don't. I've said it before, but I hate when the show pulls this kind of "back up the truck" writing. More often than not it makes me go in the opposite direction of what the writers are trying to force. Like someone else said this week, I think CM is doing well with the material and I think he works well in the grey area - even though the writing is writing him more like he's more evil than Cyrus. No question a lot of what Drew has done is sleazy and wrong, but I find so many of the reactions from the other characters so over-the-top and/or hypocritical. Like this tendency from most of the characters (some of whom have no idea what is even going on) acting as if Drew tied Willow up in chains and she was forced into his bed. Drew was actually minding his own business when Willow went up to the playroom and basically launched herself at him. Tracy and Ned's hatred of him seems disproportionate, especially with them being Team Michael. I know they've known Michael for longer, but Ned's issues with Drew are the same ones he's had with Michael and Tracy has never had any use for Michael.

Drew certainly backstabbed his friend Curtis and was too much of a coward to just tell him the truth, but I find Curtis the bigger jerk here. What Drew did was attempt to screw him over in business. It wasn't personal. That Curtis is willing to end the friendship without even trying to work it out tells me the friendship wasn't that "dear" to him.

And when you have characters like Sonny and Ric - Sonny and Ric - acting like Drew is the sleaziest of the sleazy, I have to call complete and total bullshit. I know Sonny is a gigantic hypocrite, so I'm not surprised that the thug who shot his son in the chest would call someone else a snake. Still, his scene with Carly today was odd to me. When did Sonny start hating Drew and when did he warn Carly against him? I know Brennan had a scene like that with Carly. And what exactly did Drew put Carly through? He went to prison for her, not the other way around. I mostly like Ric but he can have all the seats when it comes to judging anyone. Yes, Drew slept with his his nephew's wife but call me when he kidnaps his brother's pregnant wife and locks her in a panic room then contemplates smothering his wife after she discovers said pregnant hostage.

My biggest fuck you though goes to the writers for wasting the potential that was Drew/Nina. That look they shared over Willow's shoulder at the end had more heat and chemistry than anything Willow and Drew have shared.

I loved Nina calling Ava for help and her bringing Ric. It made things so much more interesting (RH taking the whisky bottle before going into the kitchen was hilarious). It was too bad Alexis called him away. Couldn’t she just invite him for Christmas on the phone?

A Brennan day is always a good day for me but Carly inviting him to spend Christmas Eve w/ her and Sonny is… awkward? Why did he even accept? Oh well, I’m always up for the show mixing people up.

Cody was annoying me to no end with his “woe is me I don’t want to have a family, please beg me to go” attitude. And we all knew he would show up i  the end.

Can anyone remind me of the show schedule is for next week?

A different take on this is that the stock manipulation is discovered, it looks like the SLS is going to jail, and Jasus/Sonny stash him in a foreign country that has no extradition policy.

honestly that's the thing that bothers me. Nina and Drew were great for each other because they both called each other out on their crap and they didn't do what Willow/Drew/Carly did with each other - which is basically.

"I'll protect you."
"You're so swell."

and feeding into their basic issues. and CamMat/CW have great chem together (though CW can have great chemistry with a block of wood so there is also that).

and honestly i am also fine with Drew (for the most part) and Drew and Willow mostly because it's really messy and soapy and the two of them are really playing it hard.

I've said all this before, but I was all in on Drew/Nina under Mulcahey and the Willow affair. I think his intention was to invert his own story from Guiding Light, where schmoozing politician Ross Marler is in a triangle with mother and daughter and ends up with the daughter, Blake. He remolded Drew into Ross and went to town, and I think Cameron plays that schmoozing, cocky sort of cad with a heart well.

Since PM's exit they have made Drew into more of an overt heel/dick, and I think Cameron actually plays that well too. He is performing the role as scripted, I don't fault him for that. I suspect Drew will get gunned down or otherwise murdered very shortly, but I would be happy with seeing him continue because the show needs more Quartermaine operators like that.

The problem is he is now wildly unpopular with the audience, including on here. Some of those reasons are certainly valid enough given all the shit he's pulled, I get it. But for other members of the online audience GH has honestly just trained them to not expect soap opera behavior from people and not tolerate it. Characters like Drew Q were a dime a dozen back in the day, but GH has so few actual scoundrels, schemers or gladhanding politicians today that aren't either all white or all black in their nature. And a lot of people just seem to recoil at them now. So I think he's dunzo soon. It's too bad, because I'd probably rather have seen Who Shot Drew vs. Who Killed Drew. Both are good stories I expect GH to squander. But had he been handled with more care like earlier in the year he (and the tawdry affair with Willow, which has been totally rushed through and mishandled, to say nothing of a Nina endgame) could've run for a long time. JMO.

I hope you're wrong about this, but I'm afraid you could be right. I've been feeling the heavy-handed nature of his writing since they upped the ante and had him "turning on" his friends, too. The writing is starting to become very Jagger-esque. And maybe that (and writer incompetence) is why they've completely ignored the murdered Jagger plotline because they're going to do that storyline with Drew.

It's so ironic that they've kind of rebuilt the Quartermaines by centering so much of the character interaction in the Q mansion, and on the Q grounds, and filling the house with a variety of Q-related and non-Q-related kids--and now we may be facing the loss of 2 key Q business magnates, if Drew is to be done in and Michael sent to limbo.  That would leave only Tracy and Ned as key ELQ business actors, and weaken the Q presence on the canvas, unless they've got some impressively major storyline "queued" up.  Which, of course, is highly doubtful.

That is one fugly wreath that Nina has on her door.

Has Drew forgotten that he had to put Aurora in a  blind trust and wouldn’t have been able to have his hands on it while he’s in office?

Again, I have to ask: why is it that Michael E. Knight, and even the actor who plays Marshall show up on the opening credits, yet JJ and Alexa have yet to be seen?

In a show where many people are proving that half the world is below 100 IQ, Willow is being incredibly dense. Inviting Drew will tank any chance she has of reconciliation with Michael. Drew, on the other hand, is being smarmy.  He knows what handing around Willow will do to her and he still pushes it.

I agree that Drew was much better with Nina who called him on his crap.

I wish that Alexis had not called Ric.(Shut up Diane.)  He's more likable at Nina's than pulling dirty tricks on Alexis.

I hope that Anna's surprise is Robin. But it's more likely to be Emma.

I thought that I saw a spark of connection today. I could go with Jason getting together with Sasha to protect Michael's reconciliation with Willow, and then they fall for each other.  (There's no other possiblles on the canvas for either Sasha or Jason at the moment.)

That's a good point. Drew essentially gave Curtis the opportunity to build something big, and while Curtis took it and did well, Drew doesn't really owe Curtis the CEO position at Aurora especially given that Curtis has very little CEO experience. Who does he think he is, a Quartermaine?

Curtis was willing to not only blow up their friendship because he was butt hurt, he was will to (illegally) tank Aurora so that Michael could take it over*. Hell hath no fury like an Ashford scorned.
