Sorry for putting that out there but they're less likely to do that since I put it out there, that's how my life goes.

I would think it would be hard to retcon since they showed Esme setting up the camera, etc., but this is GH so who knows. What they might do is have Portia start to wonder if it was possible and that distrust causes a wedge between Portia and Trina. Especially since she will realize Portia has lied about who her father is all her life.

I like Taggert. I always have. I don't get why they're screwing him over like this. It reminds me of how they retconned Lani's maternity AND paternity just to give Jackee a storyline on Days of Our Lives, but I'm more annoyed here because Trina and Taggert have a really sweet relationship.

So like is Esme going to fall for Nikolas for real? Nothing screams Daddy issues more than being in love with a guy twice your age.

Spencer and Cameron's cousin frenemies vibe continues to be my favorite part of the show.  I hope they're buddies in real life.

I don't recall many comments from folks distressing about Morgan/Ava and Morgan having mommy issues.  IMO, the actors playing Esme/Nik (especially w/o the goatee) seem more realistic as a couple than Ava/Nik.  It's soapy (Spencer noshing on a sandwich while his dad and gf are banging in the next room) and as an added bonus - doesn't involve any Corinthos yet.  I do agree though that Serial Killer Ryan manipulating Esme does make it seem ickier than Morgan/Ava.

It took me a while to realize that KM should have been KW. I kept wondering what was so awful in Kelly Monaco’s personal life and how Esme could possibly be Sam’s daughter lol! That said, it’s absolutely tragic that Kristina and Jack lost their son. I wouldn’t be surprised if she takes some time off and the show writes her out for a few episodes, or even recasts temporarily. My heart goes out to her. 💔

Her maiden name began with an M, so you weren't completely wrong.  She started the show as Kristina Malandro.

It isn't even soapy in a good way.  Taggert is the only person in this quad with Jordan, Portia and Curtis that I care about. 

I'm glad that GH has finally created another multi-generational family of color but annoyed at its cost.

when Portia/Trina came around and Curtis saw them, first thing Curtis was like is "is this my daughter?" Portia says no. why lie? the y'all get together, and I think it came up again and Portia is like no. but then they get all trapped in a cellar and all of a sudden "TRINA IS CURTIS'S DAUGHTER, YO."

like why?i mean again. i'm all for a medical storyline, so if the only reason they are doing this is to give Trina schizophrenia (as in, she has it. i want symptoms, episodes, she lives with this for the rest of her life, it's always going to be a conversation she has with partners, if she has kids this is now something of significant concern, ala: Robin, her HIV/Patrick + Emma being conceived & born) then you know what, I can swallow my spit and deal with it because i think the show needs more stuff like this.

It wasn't all of a sudden, though. Before Portia came on the show, they said that Stella had more family in PC through that 23 and Me style DNA test that she did. 

Trina herself mentioned that she had more family in PC because of that DNA test. 

This thing has been dragging for like 3 years now.

Given that the show had literally 5 AA actors/characters, the algebra wasn't exactly difficult on this one.  

Why Portia lied is up for debate, I guess. But she came, she found out that Curtis was married to Jordan, so maybe that's the reason she didn't say anything. I think the worst part is that she passed off Trina as Taggert's daughter, which is an incredibly cruel thing to do, and maybe that's the other reason she didn't say anything about Trina's paternity, so that she wouldn't take her away from him or whatever. Unless she told Taggert and he stupidly didn't connect the dots to Curtis and the affair, then Portia has blown up several lives with her lies. 

But let's see how "I hate that you lied to me, I can't trust you and I want a divorce so that I can be with someone else" Curtis reacts to this one.

I'm genuinely just looking for this to blow up in his self-righteous face.

And yes, I know there will be collateral damage, including Portia herself.

Morgan was a man and Ava is a woman.  Nik/Esmé is the opposite in terms of gender, so consequently the dynamics of their relationship will feel more disturbing to many.

Count me among those who are seeing no chemistry between Britt and New Guy. I was looking at him yesterday and thinking he would have made a perfect recast Lucky, as someone mentioned before. His features are similar enough, and Laura deserves an onscreen kid.

I would also have accepted a recast Jason— one who emerged from the rubble as his former Q self and no memory of his Morgan years. Imagine Carly’s angst if he gravitated back toward Britt, but had no feelings for Carly whatsoever.

But instead, we get Rocky the Flying Squirrel.

As for Josh Kelly, given the hints he had ties to Britt and Dante, I personally was speccing he was going to be a WSB agent involved in Britt's secret about her time on the run with Faison and Dante's off-screen time with the agency.  But oh well.

I will say in regards to the whole 3 secret kids thing (and the Lani thing on DOOL). it's sheer lazy.  Like i said when it came out Felicia is probably Esme's mom  - they didn't have to go there. It's OKAY to have new people on the show NOT linked to current people on the show.

Willow - can make sense because apparently that was supposed to come out ages ago but they postoned it for stuff (according to the Harmony actress). 

Trina - like i said [i don't buy it] if they KNEW they wanted to do a mental health issue for Trina and they always knew it was heading this way -minus Portia actually lying when she didn't have to - i could buy it. (and i'm only buying it because i'm eating brownies LOL yay for sugar).

If they're going to twist up history to make that happen, I hope they at least make her Felicia and Mac's child together. Giving Felicia a child with Ryan is too gross. Retcon Ryan stealing an embryo they made years ago but thought wasn't viable.

There is also the problem that Esme is Ryan's child and had a disturbed childhood so she is a vulnerable person and thus more icky from an older man. Morgan's biggest problem was having Sonny and Carly for parents. (I'm not forgetting the BPAD.)

I'm a bit behind, but I don't understand how you can parachute into what looks like inside a building.  From where did he parachute?  As he already inside?  If he was in a plane, I don't think you can be that precise in landing.

Ryan being happy that his psycho daughter had sex with Nicholas is gross and kind of funny. I guess if Esme is Felicia daughter it was when she was off screen for years, right? I guess she could have been in a coma and didn’t know just like Nina?! The whole thing sounds dumb but I like that they want to give Kristina Wagner a storyline (although, her voice has always annoyed me) and, she gets to work more with Jon Lindstrom but overall it’s pretty dumb if it is indeed what’s going on.
