What was up with the madeleines? Laura is serving them for breakfast, and Spencer says he dreamed of them all the time in prison. Then Victor has at them when he stops by. I guess the family really enjoys a tiny French cake!

So Harmony comes into Alexis' house at night and jabs Neil without him waking up, then goes down to the basement for whatever reason and makes a point to note that there is a can of carpet cleaner down there. Uh huh.

This part confused me.  It was immediately preceded by Spencer having a series of flashbacks about Esme and a look of dawning horror realizing what she had done.  And then it ends him saying that crazy shit to Trina.  I think it's some kind of cliffhanger tease, because it really made no sense.   It was stupid.

Maybe it would have made more sense for Harmony to know where something was in Alexis's bedroom than the basement. Or the Kristina story she told is also true. I don't really understand what's going on there.

Kind of. But she did call Curtis to tell him about Trina being questioned instead of Portia or Taggart (are they desperate to make Curtis relevant?) and I don't remember them offering Trina a phone call before taking her into the interrogation room.

She doesn't even need to be a secondary player on the teen scene just a secondary player in this particular story arc. It's like Joss is right, everything needs to be about her.

She had a needle in her hand, and Neil was sleeping in the bed.    She injected him.  I don't know how she knew Alexis would be out of the room at the time.

The syringe was found, but this would be before Harmony's prints were in the system.  Cyrus seemed to be surprised at being blamed for Neil's death and acted like Neil was inconsequential.

The thing with this is that him getting a confession out of Esme by threatening her is getting a confession under duress. It's not the sort of thing that's admissible in court. 

Esme tearfully telling Jordan and the world how Sonny had her put in a car and driven to his office so that he could wring a confession out of her could actually backfire on Trina and even Sonny.

But this is GH, so I really don't know.

More accurate would be defined GH since that HACK Frank and his minions took over. Even when Guzasshole was running the show, we had some consequences and buildup and climax to a story. Or even with Ron, was it? With GH: Scorpios Espionage Edition, when Robin was reunited with Anna and Robert and Faison was finally arrested. Though Anna should have kilt him. Oh, but those scenes, for the most part, were so glorious. Even with Luke finally confronting Faison--as he'd been behind kidnapping Lucky.

Hey, good-memory writer was on duty for the Tuesday show. Did you catch Laura telling Spencer that she'd known him since he was "a little boy"? At first it sounds weird from a grandmother, but then you recall he was born in the wig-on-a-stick years, so she missed a lot. 

I did think it was weird that Spencer was coming down the stairs shirtless to hang out with Grandma, and putting the shirt on in the process. Why wouldn't he put it on in his room and then come down? I hope that wasn't supposed to be fan service, because whatever you think of NAC's upper body, it would be a pretty feeble effort.  

I found the Ava/Carly/Sonny and Ava/Sonny scenes delightful. Commit me. Ava and Carly looking at each and saying "Esme" in unison; Ava and Sonny acknowledging that they're both awful.

I think madeleines are Spencer's favorite treat, so for Laura to have them when he's sprung from baby jail was a thoughtful gesture. What cracks me up is that I think they're from Eckert's bakery. That place can do anything!

It seemed like a pretty normal thing for a teen boy to do. Roll out of bed and dress on the way downstairs.

I’ve been a huge fan of Genie’s for years and years. However, I do wish she’d cut her hair and get an actual hair style. All we see anymore is this straight, flat, long hair.

I loved Genie's hair when she first returned in 2008. It was shorter, had bangs and she looked amazing. I agree the long flat hair isn't fantastic for her but it's something FV's shows seem to do with a lot of women.

I will be shocked if someone's not already talking to him and trying to project 9-12 months out on when it might be viable. Cameron Mathison's role is a rather embarrassing placeholder atm, and a lot of characters are just sort of floating around.

I suspect Ingo will never be back, given the circumstances there. And I think they need to let Jason's body wash up on some shore. I think Burton's shenanigans were fireable and should keep him off the show for good. But IMO Steve could do anything short of get MeToo'd and I'd never stop assuming he will be back eventually.

While I personally don’t feel like Jason is necessary, it’s clear that the show believes that his absence leaves a huge void when it comes to Carly. Why I don’t know because it didn’t appear to be as big an issue during his first exit and it does her character a huge disservice but I digress. I don’t see any major impact his absence has had on any other character, including his other bff Sonny.

I do think AP is doing a great job as Esme but they just made the character an even more unrealistic villian than Peter. I laughed once I realized that they are setting it up to have this whole town rallying to take down a 19 year old. It’s too much. She’s not Helena, Faison or Jerry Jacks. Her big crimes have been blowing up a car and posting revenge porn. I wish they left this story to the teens and cops rather than attempting to make it into this giant umbrella SL because it’s going to look really sad once Sonny, Carly, Ava, etc fail to take Esme down and we know they will since this show loves to drag out their villain arcs.

To be fair, I think those are both felonies, so it's not like she was the town litter bug. Still, I agree that everyone turning en masse on a teenager is ridiculous (and a little gross).

True. I meant more that her crimes aren’t in the supervillain realm and several of the people on her takedown squad are arguably more dangerous than her, committed or order violent crimes themselves, and have near unlimited resources. She’s the perfect villain for a teen group, not so much a group of mobsters and ex mobsters.

This, because I find it hard to believe Jax wouldn't come back to support his daughter. After all, I'm sure Joss's sex tape is international news/sarcasm.

I can’t believe I am saying this but I’m actually rooting for Sonny to take down Esme and Victor.  I want Spencer to come crawling back to Trina and for her to literally kick him in the ass. 
I’m tired of this storyline which means it will drag on for another two years.

I’m indifferent to the teens but I was under the impression that Trina and Spencer had a relatively large fanbase. They took a sledgehammer to that potential pairing today and imo, Trina is the only one who makes Spencer somewhat likable because around everyone else, all I get entitled brat.

Option 1 is that this is all just angst for Spencer and Trina. And I think that is at least 50-70% likely.

Option 2, and always on the table with FV, is that Trina will be spun off to another man and Spencer will eventually circle back around to Joss, and their fanbase will be left with crumbs forever more.

In other news, Imma leave my hot take on the Trina recast on the table for a few hours but suffice to say she is very good today.

I was pretty interested in the Chase/BL pairing, but that interest is waning. It feels as though the writing is geared toward High Schoolers rather than mature adults. Chase says he doesn't want to sing so BL takes this as him not liking or wanting to be part of her lifestyle or not taking her job seriously. That's some serious leap and the writing is beyond stupid. 

I think that casting did really well with NuTrina. She is a good young actress, but I have no idea what they're doing with her would-be pairing with Spencer. He essentially believes/thinks that she did it. He is defending Esme on the basis that she might be pregnant with his spawn. Trina deserves better that this butthole. 

On the flip side, new cop looked like he was making eyes at Trina and he is pretty easy on the eyes. 

Then we have Nikolas rushing to Esme's aid with Uncle Victor in tow and who puts Sonny on notice. 

So what am I looking at here? A town divided between Trina's supporters and the Cassadines? 

I can't believe that this is the thing that could actually break up Nikolas and Ava. 

I really hate how Lucy and Maxie steamrolled over Sasha like that. And I can't believe that no one thought that her seeing a picture of herself pregnant and happy wouldn't affect her. It felt a bit cruel. But it's in character for Maxie and Lucy because they are completely self-centered.

It is ridiculous that Sonny, Carly, Ava, etc. all contort themselves around the teenage machinations of Esme. Both the mob and PCPD are powerless! The character is a great villain and I enjoy watching her and having her around, but having the entire town cluck over this kid is silly as hell. Everyone looks like a goon if they get rolled by one teenager. The construction of the story is the problem, not Esme.

Right?!?! What was the point of the FBs if Spencer was just going to believe Trina did it? The FBs indicated he did NOT think that. I just can't w/the inconsistent writing. And I hate characters being made stupid (Nikolas and Spencer) so others can get away w/dirt (Esme). 

I didn't see the entire show today. I haven't watched a full show in weeks, but I loved Trina telling off Spencer! I was so happy when she told him to get out and that he had ruined her life. He pretty much has. Knowing him has caused her nothing but problems through no fault of her own. I was on the Sprina train, but I don't know now. I'm a sucker for good chemistry, but I'm think I'm done w/him. Trina deserves better! 

Loved every minute (of what I saw) of Sonny today. 

Hate that they've made Nikolas AND Spencer stupid for Esme. 

I enjoyed Nelle, but I don't find myself liking Esme. The actress is great but there's just something about this story that turns me off. I don't want to see this play out for months or even weeks. I'm not invested in Ryan so connecting her to him is a fail in my book. We still don't know the long game she's playing. Why even do what she did to Caoss? How did that further her goals? If she only wants Spencer to associate w/her, then she's nuts and not long for this show. I like the actress and didn't hate the character but this was not the right path for her. 

@YaddaYadda - I noticed that cop too! He was attractive!! Maybe he's young,18-20! Trina gave him a look too! LOL! 

@Daisy - Spencer had the nerve to actually accuse Trina of the sex tape. He actually believes she did it! Trina deserves better!

I don’t think Spencer actually believes Trina did this, I think he’s just trying to convince himself and also stick up for Esme, since he feels like he owes her.

I also don’t really think Esme would be scared of Sonny.  I mean this chick hangs out with Ryan Chamberlain for shits and giggles, I doubt Sonny would rattle her.

I don’t know how this happened but I enjoyed the scenes with Carly and Ava trying to figure out their schedules for Avery.  It was so real and mature.  Also Ava and Sonny bonding over hating Esme.  Who are these people???  I sure they will crash and burn soon because they are all way too functional right now.

Poor Portia. She is living a parent’s nightmare.  It’s nice that Curtis is being supportive.  He’s really good in that role.

He didn't. Esme is playing a role. She plays the frightened girl, the misunderstood, the sad. Whatever she was doing in Sonny's office is just part of her repertoire.

Spencer believes that Trina was behind the sex tape and dismissed her pleas that she was innocent. Also said that he knows that Esme has done terrible things but feels like he initiated things with his vendetta against Ava and drove her into feeling like she should help. He kind of implied that he knew Trina wanted him and is lashing out because of that just like Esme was.
 

Idk who wrote these scene but it was a lot and I’ll take back what I said about the town rallying against Esme because now it looks like they’re making it the Cassadine men being dumbasses and snowed by Esme while everyone else sees the truth.

Considering that yesterday Victor was willing to throw Esme and the potential Cassadine heir to the wolves, this "Don't mess with my family" to Sonny is eyerolling. Sonny is also Spencer's unclie, Victor is only his great granduncle.

The Trina/Spencer scenes reminded me of the last scenes with Mikayla. I thought I saw shine then that she was through with him and after today, I hope it’s for good. Trina deserves so much better than wet rag Spencer.

Not sure if the new rookie cop is to be a help to her or a spy, but when he gave her the pop all I thought was that ut could be roofied. So annoyed that all the criminal GH adults can’t figure out a toddy doesn’t make you black out!!

Portia shined in her scenes defending her daughter and I’m here for it.

They put Sonny in a light blue jacket, trimmed his beard and made him smile and I’m seeing the old charm. 😂 “Low bar” 🤣I’m SO easy.🤣
