Tania and Syngin: Not the Sharpest Tools in the Shed

Oh, dear.  I have that same Corelle pattern/color that Tania's mom has.  I bought it for my mother in 1977.   I kept it after she died and use it from time to time.  I also have some blue cornflower pyrex baking dishes.

Certainly not in any official capacity, she'd be more like one of the Duggar"doulas". 

I believe most doulas in the U.S are masters level, nurse-midwives. These people are highly educated, know what to do in an emergency; I wouldn't trust Tania to deliver a goldfish.

My thought about the doula is not that she went to Wild Ginger in Costa Rica to learn to become a doula, but that she wants to get in on their local classes and advocacy programs which would allow her to campaign at their expense. There's really not much threat, though, I don't think she has shown any follow through. She just wants to look special. I decided to go look and this is the doula program in Maryland

You're right though I buy fancy homemade soaps and there is a LOT of competition so a successful soapmaker has to bring an extra something to the table if they want to be successful.  Amazing fragrances, specially sourced essential oils, special coloring, unique designs, special ingredients like goat milk....a good story is helpful.  

I generally buy my goat milk from a company that makes amazing products at a good price, offers good shipping and a family farm where they keep and milk the goats.  I use another company that makes small individual sample soaps so I can have them for guests.  I use another company that has fantastic, high quality products and helps Nepalese women and children avoid poverty and sex trafficking.

No really , soap making is easy. Yes, scented soaps too. Lye, oil, fragrance. People don’t want the fancy French milled soaps today, they want the rough cut bars wrapped in brown paper and twine. Anyone can do it. It used to be an actual household chore.  

Of COURSE Tania is one of those idiots demanding 15 per hour for low skilled jobs. If that ever happened, employers would be better able to pick and choose, and the people who need the job would be cut out by some millennial who would see fast food as easier than office work. I wish this idiot would do an internship in Venezuela to see how socialism has worked in the Americas.

I always thought a doula was a non medical person to give support to a woman in labor.  Not sure why Tonia needs herbs for that.  I am all for woman having all kinds of choices for birth:  hospital, birth center, pool but to have anyone talking to me unless they had an RN after their name or a Dr. in front of their name......just no.  I wanted QUIET.

Of course not. You’d have to sell dozens of bars per hour to make a profit. People will pay at most 2 bucks for homemade soap.  Only luxury brands like Prada or Chanel can get luxury soap prices. Every stay at home mother or father with a double boiler can get into the soap game and make 10k per year.  Maybe. 

Tania is just an irritating, lazy idiot. If she really makes 20 bucks before tips per hour bartending, why leave that game? Because she’s an unpleasant jerk who probably got let go and can’t get any more bartending jobs. Any employer who pays 20 per and tips is going to hire the hottest people. She could t even work as a bar back.

I pay $6-$9 per bar for my soap.  

The activated charcoal bars are a little pricier, closer to $10. But this one has a couple different ingredients I like. 

I HATE triple milled/french soap.  I ended up giving away a giant bar of pre de Provence olive oil lavender soap to a girl at work with the specific instructions that it should only be used on her dog because that could not possibly be an okay scent for humans.  

The sea salt scent makes me nauseous.  The sage scent is okay, but not good.  

I think a lot goes into finding the right scents, the right formulations, the right "hook" to successfully sell soap.  I'm a novice for sure but there is advanced soapmaking.

I doubt Tania will care to really learn anything and has only thought as far as making basic soap and people buying it because of "publicity"

This guy makes really pretty handmade soap with landscape scenes.  I think this is pretty advanced (though he is an amateur).  

He donates his soaps to the homeless, which I think is neat.

There is a local soapmaker here that I buy from.  They make scenes in the soap for the season.  I've bought fall soap that has leaf patterns or a pumpkin, and the Christmas soap has a tree, one with a snowflake, and one with Christmas lights. It's $8.   I can't find their website as I no longer have the label and they sell only at our local fairway market.  But it's worth it.  I don't see Tania up to the same sort of task; she was just thinking $$$$$ and a built in fanbase with a ton of followers, but she's not likable and comes across as a slug that doesn't own a bra so she picked soap.

That sounds really pretty, I think the artistry is so impressive.  I'd pay $8 for that soap, but would probably keep it in my guest bathroom!

The more I've gone down the rabbit hole with soapmaking the more impressed I am by some of the demonstrated skill....even from amateur soapmakers.  

Right now, I'm mostly hoping I don't burn my face off making my inaugural batch of soap this weekend!

And LOL @ Tania.  I think you're right, she is going to buy a melt and pour soap, throw in some random leaves she says are "remedies" and try charging $20 a bar. 

It may or may not end up being some rebatched Irish spring or repackaged Yardley soap from the dollar store. 

She is all optics and no substance.  Its the laziest and most trodden path to assume that people will buy whatever you're selling because you're on TV.

There have been so many unsubstantiated rumors about these two that I think are being leaked by Tania, like that she's pregnant and that Syngin left her and returned to SA. Then she posts videos of her slamming shots and Syngin was in court recently. 

There have been a few things found that showed they were married, but I must have closed some out. This one doesn't say the wedding date but the Instagrammer says it's them

I was leaving San Diego last week and while at the airport, a guy passed by me that I would have bet a poopload of money was Syngin.   Same hair, same jaw, same weird facial hair that doesn't seem to grow beyond 1/4 of an inch.  If I didn't have a face full of airport cheeseburger, I'd have been tempted to stop him.  I was also very peopled out from my trip.  Maybe that would have made for a better interaction.  I guess we'll never know now.

As a sped teacher i would have approached management and told them to get her ass out of that cart.  Not appropriate but then again rules do not apply to her, do they?  God she bugs!

When my mom had knee surgery, we bought one of those motorized scooters from QVC. I think it was probably a thousand bucks.  Not exactly cheap, but we did end up using it several times with other family and extended family members who had various injuries. We did get our monies worth I think. It’s still in good condition, so we’ll keep it.

I seriously cannot remember exactly how her foot was injured, but I think it was a work injury when she was tending bar at an event, slipped or tripped on something, and something crashed onto her foot. It wasn't her regular bar, it was an outside event with a temporary setup, and something wasn't stable or something like that. She was joking with someone she knew and they were talking about it, so I was reading a discussion between people who knew the full story and not only did I not, I didn't really care and quit reading it. The other person was covering for her until she got to a walking boot stage, so it probably is workers' comp.

Tania is tired of people bitching about her not wearing bras. Four slides.

It appears that I have closed the tab with the link and am not searching for it again, but on Reddit, someone asked if it had been discovered where Tania went in Costa Rica and someone responded Wild Ginger, which was also my guess, and showed a link to the website where there were photos and one of the photos showed two women that also appeared in the clip of her at witch camp that aired on the show. 

So, she hasn't confirmed it herself but the photos lean toward Wild Ginger being the immersion she went to and supporting my claims of being psychic. Am too

My sister had large breasts since about age 12 and with each pregnancy they got larger. After her third was born and she was done nursing, she looked into a reduction, again, because she had such serious back strain that she kept getting a knot in her lumbar area that needed physical therapy to treat. She's high risk for anesthesia so she remains out of luck and has actually thought about contacting Dr. Now about it. 

I would agree that she'd need a bra if she gets pregnant, well I do agree she needs one, but I don't think she will think so. Kail from Teen Mom 2 never wears one either, including when she was pregnant, and she looked frumpy and fat because of it - and her bad plastic surgery.

My Target actually brings the order out to your car. They have designated parking spots. I used it this year, especially great for kids toys and games, small appliances etc. No issues with orders at alll

Well in the very beginning she seemed cute and sweet and oh so breezy refreshing. After an episode or two, she was pretty tiresome and quite delusional. Now seeing this- I cannot stomach her. She is totally clueless and ignorant but thinks she is an authority.

She might not have  meant any harm by her comments, but they really are so inaccurate and in my opinion,spreading the inaccuracies. I don't want to get all political here, so I guess I will bow out but not before I express my total disappointment and disgust re Tania.

The other activist is also not very informed and biased as well. I grew up in New York City. The “riots” she is talking about were the Crown Heights Riots. There was a whole back story she deliberately omitted.

Yeah, I agree.  But you know....there is a time and place for everything.  Even if she is right, when pain and emotions are raw after an attack, it's the wrong time to be so sanctimonious.  Let people have their rage and anger, plenty of time to lecture them later.
