Amazing review of S1:

This is the greatest thing I've ever seen.  I'm sobbing laughing.  When he rips off his glasses and looks right into the camera... I spat coffee on my keyboard.  "This Caucasian man...this man could win wars all by himself.  This is the man of all men."  Yup...

Haha, glad it wasn't just me who was laughing hysterically at his reactions. Now I want him to watch S2 and tell me how it makes him feel!

If he had to "go out in nature" after the Season 1 finale, what will he need to do after the Season 2 finale?!?! Get in the car and "drive cry"??

we have a premier date of Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day?  That is BRILLIANT!  As someone who is flying solo thru the Pandemic (and has flown solo through almost every Valentine's Day in my life) I greet this news with joy and gratitude.  A new tradition is born!  (But I'm still buying a half-price box of Valentine's candy on Feb 15th because old traditions matter too.)

I put myself on a Disney No Buy because I am a responsible adult and WFH had be buying all sorts of lounge wear, but I just got an email about THIS Outlander Spirit jersey. It’s not violating my rule is it?

What's the word on Season 6?  It doesn't appear that they've even started filming?

Pretty sure they have.  There was an article out last week about all the precautions the studio has done to ensure the cast and crew's health regarding Covid, and also Sam has been spotted on social media posts this week with "Jamie" scars on his hands.

And he's watched S2!

Sadly, it took me a few days to get to this one.  Where has this man been my whole life?  Can he be my alarm clock? I would basically do almost anything to wake up to this man talking Outlander to me for the rest of my life (while still remaining married to my current hubs, of course).

"Jamie has the sexiest knees." (I'm guessing he hadn't acknowledged that knee porn is a thing prior to watching Outlander.)

"FRANK!" (I say it in quite a different tone, but I appreciate a man's perspective.)

"Claire needs respect!" (Say it louder!!!)

Just before Men in Kilts, Starz showed the "Filming has begun on Season Six" promo.  One of the sets looks like

Spoiler

a church.  Do you think this means they will have Roger's story-line about becoming a minister?

I don't know if this is the right place to put this but -- for lack of a better home -- I'm parking it here.  I THINK I just learned the original source of an English colloquialism via Sam & Graham's new show, "Men in Kilts".  They did an episode based on Scottish music and dancing.  Naturally there were bagpipers.  And as a group of bagpipers finished I heard the leader say "Pipes down!"

Ah HA! I thought to myself.  That must be the source of the expression "Pipe down!" when you want a group of noisy people to be quiet.

Don't tell me if I'm wrong.  I'm verra pleased with myself and I'd like to stay that way.

This is so great, and there is no conceivable way that you are wrong!  Makes complete sense!

Also, there is a Men in Kilts forum.  Check it out!!  Always enjoy hearing your take on things.

I know it has its own forum (that is currently deader than a doornail), but we have a premier date of Valentine's Day.

Where is the forum?  I can't seem to find it.

Men in Kilts is in the “Talk, News, & Non-Fiction” category.  Which is the last category under TV Shows.

FYI, there is a simple search box in the Browse Forums tab.  Note that it's the Browse Forums tab NOT the Search Forums tab.  Anyway, you type in the name of the show you're looking for and if there's a thread for it anywhere on the site, it will come up.  This is what I always use instead of trying to figure out what category the thread creator put the show in.

Here's an article about what the author binge-watched to get through the Pandemic (after her doctor-husband started sleeping on their houseboat in order to keep her and their children safe) and NATURALLY just about the first show she binge-watched during her social isolation was . . . Outlander.

Good news. I really like Mark Lewis Jones. And I loved Alexander Vlahos in Versailles. It will be interesting to see him in a different role.

I don't know how I will be able to watch Men in Kilts in Canada?? Maybe with the Starz addon on Prime? Any Canadians know???

Canadian Starz doesn’t air Outlander because W has the rights in Canada. I hate that since W is filled with commercials and Starz doesn’t have any. I know I’m late to reply but thought you’d want to know for future broadcasts. 🙂 Did Men in Kilts end up airing in Canada?

Yes we watched MIK on the Global app on the iPad. I would have preferred the bigscreen tv but no app on that. We do watch OL on W each season.

Outlander Season 6 won't be ready by June 2021.  It will likely be January 2022 at the earliest, according to this article.

That sounds about right. Wasnt there a big gap between seasons 2 and 3? (like a year and a half)- and that was not counting COVID-19 issues.

Looking at wikipedia, there was a big gap between seasons 2 and 3 (17 months), as well as 4 and 5 (15months).

Looks like the next season will be 8 episodes, premiering in early 2022, then season 7 will be 16 episodes!

8 is too few episodes IMO. I think the minimum would be 10 to give the storylines a chance to breathe.

They don’t call it Droughtlander for nothing!

I agree. We’ll end up with another swift “going through the stones and coming right back out in less than a minute, life as usual” storyline.

Caitriona had a baby!

I'm delighted for Caitriona  . . .  delighted and surprised.  Did we know she was pregnant?  If I have heard that info during the past year it slipped right out of my head.  So either I have Pandemic brain (a definite possibility) or they kept it quiet.  Well, if she wanted to keep it a secret and was successful I say good for her.  I wonder if the Pandemic ended up being a blessing in disguise for her by creating a much longer hiatus between filming seasons and  allowing her to keep out of the public eye for much longer than usual.  Well anyway, hooray for the happy family!
